Yeah as soon as I posted I thought of something else. If we let her die as she is after what we saw the corrupted disease do, who's to say what happens to Aleifr's soul (from our character's perspective).

Canonically? The Deathlords can extract nothing from a shed Exaltation as it returns to its monstrance, and the next Abyssal doesn't get any memories of past Abyssal incarnations. WlfSamurai may have something else in mind, though.

And she might have more information about this corruption, if they are the cause. Like some second contagion.

I can't see Makuro personally trusting Embrace, or being too happy with bringing her along. She might be an old friend of Toun and Sigrdrífa's, but Makuro barely knows her, and as mentioned earlier, he currently knows next to nothing about her power. Plus, there's the fact that Embrace seems to be inspiring hate boners in about half our party, Tyree included. Were it not for the fact that he could potentially learn more about this threat in Marama's Fell from her - which, I should remind you all, he was trying to do before everything went to shit for a second time - odds are he'd treat her as a liability to the group, at least in regard to the well-being of the Lunars.

Also, am I missing something? I got the impression that Embrace's 'aura' was just meant to be a little unnerving, and that the Silver Pact's knowledge on Abyssals was limited at this point in time. Yet Tyree, Afureru and the two Dragon-blooded all seem to be treating her like she's an armed nuclear bomb.

Afureru doesn't know squat aside from a few things that are popping into her head. And none of it she really understands. Much of her reaction is coming from her exalted sparks fear of discovery clashing with Afureru's own nature. Feeling something is very wrong, her first instinct is usually to just kill. Thanks to Zoya and Sigfrida she is starting to get her head back on right. Affy isn't exactly the most stable of people.

Embrace also explained a little bit about what she is. Enough that Aaki and Haze could have picked up on. As well as Embraces general antagonistic demeanor and an apparent citizen of this here shadowland.

Yeah, Aaki was reacting to the way the group reacted and worried about the Circle rather than the Abyssal.

Haze is a mortal. She's scared shitless of Embrace. An affectation from Embrace that the rest of the group isn't subject to as everyone else is an Exalt.

Before I move the scene forward, I want to know if Sigrdrífa lets Embrace up. The Abyssal is well within her control.

Hmm, let's see. I'm not sure Toun has really made the case for forgiving her. She's declared herself an enemy, and Sigrdrífa was only allowing her to live long enough to answer Toun's questions. Toun would have to persuade her Embrace was somehow lying or wrong when she declared herself Sigrdrífa's enemy, or make the uphill case that there's a need to keep a deadly enemy alive as a prisoner, and so take significant risk.

I'm holding off on moving forward in the main thread until Sigrdrifa has responded to Tuon. I like a fast pace, but this is some personal stuff and it doesn't serve any of os to rush it.
