Five Thousand Club
Setting up towards the rear of the orientation hall as to not block the view of her new peers, Sophia rummages through her back to pluck out a pencil and notebook. She really wasn't sure just what orientation involved so she better play it safe so she didn't forget anything important, getting rooms mixed up would only lead to potential embarrassment.
Her head would tilt slightly as she scanned around the room, and she began to take note of the various colours of mana around the students, it was a little overwhelming, especially given the way they were put together was so different from the natural raw flows she was used to seeing. If she went by common sense reds and oranges should be fire right? but was those whites...well there isn't as many so maybe a rarer type? Light made sense, but that could be the Yellows...Energy didn't really have a colour to it did it?, and what colour would time even be?.
Slowly tapping the pencil as she gave it some thought, she decided to instead count each color...which then led to the issue of those borderline ones between the shades but it should be enough to work with later. Ok cross reference the number of colours with the rarity she heard about...wait no there would be people with multiple types...did she have to use colour theory taking into account blended shades?
Sophia's expression would purse slightly, becoming slightly more distracted by the new puzzle that the whole school excitement and new faces began to fade into the background.
