Setting up towards the rear of the orientation hall as to not block the view of her new peers, Sophia rummages through her back to pluck out a pencil and notebook. She really wasn't sure just what orientation involved so she better play it safe so she didn't forget anything important, getting rooms mixed up would only lead to potential embarrassment.

Her head would tilt slightly as she scanned around the room, and she began to take note of the various colours of mana around the students, it was a little overwhelming, especially given the way they were put together was so different from the natural raw flows she was used to seeing. If she went by common sense reds and oranges should be fire right? but was those whites...well there isn't as many so maybe a rarer type? Light made sense, but that could be the Yellows...Energy didn't really have a colour to it did it?, and what colour would time even be?.

Slowly tapping the pencil as she gave it some thought, she decided to instead count each color...which then led to the issue of those borderline ones between the shades but it should be enough to work with later. Ok cross reference the number of colours with the rarity she heard about...wait no there would be people with multiple types...did she have to use colour theory taking into account blended shades?

Sophia's expression would purse slightly, becoming slightly more distracted by the new puzzle that the whole school excitement and new faces began to fade into the background.

Through his entrance, Naio had caused somewhat of a commotion, one he didn't really seem to care, however from it, a weirdly dressed girl approached him taking a quick selfie to which Naio made no attempt to even pose. "Yeah I know, learned it all myself" Naio exclaimed before pausing for a sec, "do I know you?" he questioned her.

This questioning would have to wait as Bianca and Reagan would enter the scene. The older one first approached Pina revealing her to be some sort of streamer, then Bianca would switch her attention to Bianca who'd flick his head. It didn't particularly hurt, but he was never one to take orders, especially those that sucked. However, instead of outright rejecting it, Naio got a wide and mischievous grin on his face. "Ok!"

Naio would slide his foot towards the crater, causing the ground beneath Bianca to turn into mud, ruining her shoes and properly filling up the rest of the crater. "All done! Come on, two-eyes, don't be a slowpoke." Naio would cheerfully state as he would start running towards the assembly hall, rudely bumping and pushing anyone who stood in his way.

Ciernan @DuckPrince

Giovanni nodded thoughtfully as Ciernan explained his situation. "I understand. Discovering and learning to control our abilities can be daunting, especially when they manifest unexpectedly," he empathised, recalling his own journey. "I was a late bloomer myself, you could say. My body absorbs mana like a sponge. If I try to use any abilities externally, it just gets absorbed, fizzles out or misfires, which has happened more than once. It took some time for me to realize and understand how to work with it without causing unintended consequences."

As they navigated through the bustling crowd of students, Giovanni observed the academy grounds with interest, noting the mix of excitement and nerves among the newcomers. "It's good to have someone to walk with, it hasn't been long since I moved to America and by the time I got settled in school was starting up, so it's been a while since I've specialized with anyone." The spacious interior of the building greeted them with the hum of anticipation from the gathered students.

Stepping inside, Giovanni took in the sight of the orientation hall. "It looks like we're just in time," he remarked, glancing around at the gathering crowd. "Shall we find seats?" He gestured towards the rows of chairs, offering Ciernan a friendly nod. The prospect of starting his journey at Serenity Academy filled Giovanni with a sense of anticipation and curiosity about what lay ahead.

Getsumei Watanabe

The man has a subtle enthusiasm in regards to asking something so basic to a magic user. There, he explains Time's ever-flowing march in concept, separate from being magical. Getsumei simply nods along

"Or gravitational potential. It's just not great enough in everyday context for us to notice."

"Einstein's Theory of Relativity."

"Einstein-san's Theory of Relativity--"

Echoing the last sentence of the man at the same time he said it. Immediately covering her lips.

The fine dressed man is done with the telling segment. His cane gave a faint golden glow then follows the floor making a mark of what appears to be a 'magic circle' with an analogue clock face. It had a similar glow. Getsumei stepped back in awe, its glow nearly took her breath away then a bright flash. After sliding the books down from her face. She'd barely notice any dramatic change in her nor the man. He said time was extended to fifteen minutes longer, such effects couldn't be seen in an empty hallway alone. The magical man walked to the window, it flunged from his simple motion. Gazing outside her jaw dropped at what the world came into.

The students outside appeared to be slowed down as if she was watching a video at a snail's pace. The look on her face was mix of fascination and terror whilst the explanation of how magic can bend, manipulate, or outright throw the laws of reality aside, much like window the man opened. The view outside she gazed for a few seconds felt like minutes. Her overwhelmed face now holds a frown.

"H-- How long have you been doing this magic?" The frown subsiding back to curiosity. There was now indeed plenty of time to get into the destined assembly hall. Although she didn't waste more spared time she was given. Continuing down the path the man had taken before she accidentally startled him. The girl was following the man around. There a few interesting facilities and rooms prior to getting into the assembly hall but she didn't seem to be vocal about commenting. She has also asked the following questions at random intervals during her small trip around.

"Do you use magic often outside your job?"
"Do schools like this use computers?"
"Can you use vacuum cleaners as a substitute instead of a flying broom?"

Regardless of his answers. In the end, Getsumei doesn't seem to extend the discussion of these topics, she was more focused to getting on the assembly.

Upon arrival to the assembly hall doors, past the slow motioned students. She was right on time. The time magic has worn off as calculated. "T-Thank you, Sensei." She bows deeply that she almost look like she is groveling at him. Rushing off near the front seats, her head ducked low and pitter patter feet. Her face was half covered by the rather thick books she was holding around. Seats were filling in and she needed to move quickly. Finding a seat near a silver haired girl, she lightly treads through the assembly hall. Given her size she was being flowed along the other students and when she came near the seat she spotted, a light elbow tap from an ignorant student shoved her towards the seat and one of her two books slid off her arms.

'Computers for dummies' was title of the dropped book. It made a loud thud from its thickness. Landing near the silver haired girl's left foot. "Oh no! I'm sorry!" She whimpered quickly scooping the yellow module off the ground and took one seat away from the girl of sophisticated grace. She found no other place to sit anymore. She'll just have to sit in awkward silence, trying to forget that she nearly slammed a foot of another student from her disoriented self.

Doctor Edward Hart
Assembly Hall | "Of all times for mana exhaustion to hit..."

A walk to the assembly hall should not have taken the entire fifteen minutes, but thanks to Edward's incompetence at memorizing where even the most basic facilities were, he ended up leading the new transfer student across facilities and hallways they didn't need to pass through, all the while studying fiercely the map on his phone so intently that one couldn't help but wonder if he even actually worked here. Thankfully, the walk wasn't boring, nor awkward, thanks to the curious students many inquiries.

"No - not really. Don't underestimate modern technology, that's where the real magic is. Believe me, a kettle is ten times more convenient than trying to achieve the same result with fire magic."

"Of course we use computers. We're not Hogwarts, we keep up with the era here. The school ones suck though, I suggest buying your own laptop."

"Well, the association of witches and flying brooms is theorized to have originated from pagan practices from the medieval age involving hallucinogenic ointments and other things I am not allowed to discuss to a student. Nobody actually uses a broomstick to fly. But, I can imagine a few ways to make a broomstick fly, and I don't see why one couldn't substitute the stick for a cordless stick vacuum, I suppose?"

He answers each and every one of Getsumei's questions with mild enthusiasm, as if he was having fun by doing so. Thankfully, the young girl hadn't followed any of her questions up, or else it would probably have been near-impossible to stop Edward from going off on magic theory and whatnot.

Thankfully, by following the trail of students outside, Edward was able to navigate to the assembly hall just in time. Though he was mildly taken aback by how low the student was bowing, Edward just chalked it up to a different culture that he was mostly unfamiliar with, and only waved her off. As the transfer student headed in through the front door, Edward turned to enter through the backdoor, to step up to the podium through the back.

And yet, just as students began to quieten down as some noticed a teacher approach the podium, Edward would be hit with a sudden and intense wave of nausea and lethargy. Telltale mana exhaustion; a consequence of consecutive all-nighters, his negligence of personal health as he zealously worked along on his projects, and to top it all off, the use of a wildly inefficient time-dilation spell that he had yet to thoroughly test. Honestly, it was a surprise it went as well as it did.

"Crap," was all Edward was able to utter out as he just... dropped. He falls forward, face first into the floor, in front of hundreds of students. Just a sudden thump as he practically drops dead, sprawled over and still as a rock.

One second of silence passes.

Then two.

Three.

Was he dead? But if he was, then why was none of the other few staff members present not helping, or paying it much heed, for that matter?

Luckily, though, the man on the floor was not, in fact, deceased, and after a few moments of lying still on the floor, lets out a long groan as he lethargically pulls himself back onto his feet and slowly walks up behind the podium. Then, he taps the microphone, which, after months of being unused, springs to life by letting out an ear-splitting shriek out through the speakers. Edward lets the microphone let out its cry for help - or perhaps its pleas to end its suffering - only speaking up after the horrible sound had completely died out.

"Uh... may I have everyone's attention," he mumbles into the mic, as if he hadn't already grabbed their attentions with his whole circus act mere seconds earlier. "Assembly will be starting in a few minutes, once all teachers are present. Can students please start settling in their seats, and can teachers please start getting everyone inside. Thanks."

She closed her eyes as the wave of students began to make their arrival. It was quite loud, but Silja managed to keep her composure as boys and girls gathered around her to find seats and as the air became more thin. If it wasn't obvious by now, this is what the early students try to avoid so not to be swept up by the crowd. Silja was a tall girl; weather the storm of thunderous footsteps would not be too difficult for her, though less could be said about others.
A large book hit the floor, though amongst the commotion its heavy sound was not too loud fortunately due to all the sound that filled the hall. It was however enough to make her glance down at the book at her foot, glancing down to read its title. The apologetic girl reminded Silja of her time in Japan, how she wishes she could go back, but she did not acknowledge her entirely at first, not even the apology. The book did not hit her after all, and even if it did then it would be an honest mistake.

In time, when it was appropriate, Silja tilted her head towards Miss Watanabe. Even without looking directly at the small girl, they could sense her unease. Perhaps she was quick to fluster, or for one reason or another was nervous about her first day. Regardless, once things had settled down, she Spoke.

"It's, 'no use crying over spilled milk.' correct?" She recentered her gaze on the podium. "You should try to be more prompt. It makes it that much easier to find a seat."

Those furious eyes never left her, but she intended those words as attempts at friendliness rather than a short lecture. She hadn't an ounce of anger towards Getsumei, but a upon seeing the teacher collapse before them all, a slight change in Silja's eyebrow could be seen. A look of uncertainty as the only thing she could think in that moment was the question of how could a man so well dressed be so foolish.
