Right? They freaked me out as a kid. Did you know that Jim Henson had built this huge world and all this crazy lore for the movie, but never got to include a large portion of it? They made prequel comic books too.

It can be, but I tend to stay away from clear rum. It reminds me too much of water and I've personally never touched the stuff. Fish fuck in it.

In all seriousness, good rum tends to have color. If it's clear that means it hasn't aged and that's whack as fuck yo. You want that good good booze to be mellow, so it's got to age in it's barrel.
