Alex frowned more at her and gave a heavy sigh "I work normal hours in the shop, and do runs twice a week unless its something major." He explained taking a deep breath "With that comes a pay cut though." He told her before getting up "Money is gonna be tight for a bit...but I'm going to be here for our son." He murmured before going to their room.

Max frowned softly as she looked over herself. The scars that littered her arms covered now with tattoos but she still saw them. She was a bit ashame about her past, but she moved on from it and did everything she could to keep it in the past.

She chewed on her lip frowning and just grabbed at his arm on his way past “Don’t go.” She whimpered a little, watching him carefully and only relaxing a little when he sat down with her and she went to get the first aid stuff, swaying on her feet on her way then spent the rest of the night cleaning him up before going to bed with him, holding him tightly through the night.

Jon headed into work, raising an eyebrow at the state of Tyler before shaking his head and cracking on with work. “You’re being too hard on him.” He told him seriously when Tyler came over with some water.

Alex woke up the next morning to little hands on his face. He smiled softly seeing Leo there staring at him "Well hey there buddy, you sleep good?" He asked quietly seeing Carmen was still asleep "You hungry?"

Tyler frowned some as he looked over at Jon "Shut it...he was my right hand. I get he has a kid, but his club needs him with the shit we're in right now." He muttered

Jon raised an eyebrow. “I get it. But carmen needed him when he went down for something you did. I told you to tell her before but she’ll find out. She always did with you two.” He pointed out, getting to the phone in the office to call Max and let her know about her car.

Leo frowned and stared at him. “Why your face all purple?” He asked him while they got up. “Is that why mommy crying all night?” He asked following him to the kitchen.

Max picked up her phone as it rang frowning softly "Hello this is Maxine." She said seriously not recognizing the number and thinking it could possibly be a new client.

Alex sighed heavily and got up with him "Somewhat yes. I said some not so nice stuff as well that I need to apologize for." He explained as they walked to the kitchen "Listen, you don't worry about that stuff okay? Mommy is gonna be just fine."

Jon smiled some “hello Maxine, this is Jonathan… I got some bad news.” He told her chuckling a little. “You put your number on the paperwork yesterday for your car.”

Leo frowned and nodded holding onto his dads leg, staring up at him while he got the cereal out, running over to carmen though when she came out and attaching himself to her now. “Hey baby. You ready for school?” She asked him, riffing his hair

Max smiled a bit when she heard Jon's voice and gave a small laugh "Oh right, I thought you were a possible client." She murmured before going to sit down "How is the car?"

Alex smiled softly when he attached himself to his leg. He looked over at Carmen as she came down before finishing Leo's breakfast "Mornin." He said softly

He grimaced a little and sighed. “Even with friends discount the work needed is gonna run you 5,000…. It’s not worth that in scrap. You need a new car.” He told her.

Carmen frowned and kissed his cheek “morning. Leo go get dressed baby. Then come get breakfast.” She told him sending him up and stepped over to Alex “hey. Look at me.” She frowned looking to inspect his face. “I got your mom watching Leo tonight for the club party.”

Max frowned as she listened to him giving a heavy sigh "Well....shit." she muttered running a hand over her face "There anyway I can pay you to tow it back to me?" She asked thinking about how she would be able to afford a new car.

Alex frowned softly as she inspected his face "If you want to stay home we can." He said quietly before giving a heavy sigh "I'm sorry for what I said last night...it was out of line." He murmured quietly before cupping her cheek gently

Carmen frowned and nodded, "Yeah.. it was... It was also completely false.... I told you after your sentencing trial... I found out before you were even arrested." She told him frowning. "I came in to the club house right after I took the test and Tyler was there and he told methere had been cops there questioning you guys.... Then a few hours later I got the call to say you'd been arrested and charged with armed robbery and manslaughter." She told him quietly, "Even when I found out... I was already too far along to get rid of him even if I had wanted to." She pointed out

Jon smiled some "No... but... if you really wanna see me that bad."He chuckled quietly, "I'm kidding... But hey, listen what I can do... you can sell it to us for scrap, you're probably looking at a couple thousand... And in the meantime, I never use my Dad's old car. I only everuse my bike, I'll check it tonight and have one of the guys help me bring it over to you." He told her "Use that for now til you can get a new car."

Alex frowned as he listened to her "Wait....you knew....you knew before I went in?" He asked starting to fill anger build up inside of him "And Tyler knew?" He asked wanting make sure the story was straight. He had gone down for Tyler, because he knew he would have had atleast 10 years on him. However, had he known prior to Tyler asking him to take the fall that Carmen was pregnant, he never would have done it.

Max blushed lightly before going a bit wide eyed at his proposal "Oh Jon....no I could never put you out like that." She said softly not wanting him to think she was trying to look for hand outs or take advantage of him

Carmen frowned and nodded. “Honey I didn’t tell you cause for ages it looked like you weren’t gonna go down. But then the sentencing happened and that asshole in the judges seat…. Then it became important.” She told him quietly. “And Tyler knew because I walked in holding the pregnancy test excited to tell you. And he saw.” She told him gently, holding onto him gently.

He shook his head. “You’re not putting me out. It’s a very similar car to yours just… not broken… so there’s that. But also getting the scrap payment might take a few days cause we gotta go through it and see what we can use.” He told her.

Alex took a deep breath and moved away from her before slamming his hands on the counter "That son of a bitch!" He yelled before running a hand kver his face "I'm not mad at you....just...you just brought to light some things that were not there." He muttered before turning to look at her.

Max smiled softly before agreeing with him "Well alright then. Just keep me in the loop on it. I guess I'll see one of the guys later to drop off the car?"

Carmen frowned and rubbed his back. “I’m gonna get Leo to school alright? I’m gonna be at the club later.” She told him quietly and kissed his cheek. “Go deal with what you need to.l she told him, recognising the look in his eye.

He nodded to himself. “I’ll get it sorted alright… I’ll see you at the club tonight,” he smiled, hanging up and going to sort out getting his car to her moms place, raising an eyebrow as he watched Alex get in and practically dump his bike in the lot. “Hey! Prospect!” He whistled “Get your bike over to my place. You’re taking a car to someone. Now.” He told him.

Alex gave a small nod before giving a heavy sigh "I'll see you later." He muttered before grabbing his kutte and going to get ready for the day. He zoomed over to the clubhouse practically dropping his bike "Tyler!" He screamed

Max heard a car pull up about 2 hours later smiling softly. She stepped out seeing a prospect come out of the car "Hello there, thank you for bringing it over." She said happily "You need a ride back?"

Tyler was coming out of the back rooms, passing an envelope over to the current VP and just raised an eyebrow at Alex. “You back for round two? I’ve beat your ass every time since we were kids.” He pointed out, frowning when he noticed just how pissed Alex looked.

The prospect shook his head and was about to answer when the van pulled up and Jon got out of it. “Hey, party starts at seven.” He told her smiling. “Be just like old times… but better.” He assured her, in a way assuring her they weren’t gonna be doing the drugs they used to.

Alex glared at him and rushed towards him "You sack of shit!" He yelled before he started to go in on him. "You took me from them! You fucking knew she was pregnant and still had me take the fall for you!" He yelled as he started bashing his head against the floor before they pulled him off.

Max smiled happily as Jon pulled up. She gave him a worried look when he said it would be like old times. Though when he assured her there wouldn't be drugs around she gave a small nod "I'll see you then, thank you again Jon." She murmured hugging him tight

Jackson was holding Alex back and shaking his head "It's not worth it man!" He yelled, trying to grab his attention, wastching the others grab Tyler and take him to the back room to sort him out, "Shit.... What the fuck was that Alex?!" He snapped at him, taking him outside to cool off, handing him a cigarette.

Jon nodded to her, tensing to begin with but soon relaxed and hugged her back, getting in the van after that and taking the prospect back to the club house to get back to work, froning as he walked in to see the end of the chaos.

Alex shook his head glaring at him before taking the cigarette "I took that fucking fall for him. I had no idea Carmen was pregnant." He spat before taking a deep breath and drag from his cigarette "Tyler fucking knew...he knew and still let me take that fall."

Max sighed softly and went inside to finish unpacking. As the hours passed and it got time to leave she began to get nervous.she was nervous to see everyone again and also see how everything had changed.

Carmen herself arrived just after lunch time, heading inside the garage and over to Alex while he working on a car, smacking his ass and smiling when he stood up. “Hey handsome. I brought you some lemonade.” She told him quietly. “Your moms homemade. Gave it to me while I was dropping off Leo.” She told him, slipping her arms around his waist.

Jon got back to the carnage and had quickly got to working tidying everything up and helping the girls get everything ready for tonight. They had another charter coming over for some meetings for tomorrow but tonight it was all gonna be chill.

When Max arrived the party was just starting to get into full swing. She cautiously walked through the people seeing a lot of new faces then noticing the kuttes. She hadn't known a different charter was coming. She glanced around trying to find Jon and gave a wide smile when her eyes landed on him laughing with some of the guys.

Alex glanced over at Carmen and gave her a half smile. He stopped working on his bike and moved to face her completely so she had his full attention "Hey...thank you, she does make some of the best.' He murmured before taking the lemonade and taking a sip. By the time the party was starting he was in a better mood thankful that Tyler had decided to stay away from him and Carmen for the time being.

Jon glanced over when she caught his eye and got up, heading over there. “Hey there! What do you want to drink?” He asked her, leading her back to where he was sat with Jackson and a couple of the newer guys. “Carmen and Alex are here. They’re just over there.” He nodded in their direction as well, getting her sat next to him and sending a prospect to get her a drink.

Carmen was sat on his lap by a fire pit once the party had got going and rest her head on his shoulder. “Mmm when we get home you’re gonna tell me what all that was about this morning.” She murmured, kissing his cheek.

Max smiled softly at him shaking her head a bit "Just some water, I'm driving home after all." she said softly before she sat down next to him. She looked over when he mentioned Carmen and Alex giving a small nod "I'll try to swing over and say Hi sometime tonight." she said happily before thanking the prospect as he brought her a drink "So who are these new faces?" she asked gesturing to the men around her.

Alex had his arms securely around her and nodded some "Alright then." he murmured taking a sip of his beer just trying his best to relax. He looked around the lot and couldn't help but crack a smile "Well would you look at that, looks like someone made it home." he said with a small chuckle before nodding in Max and Jon's direction.

Carmen smiled tiredly, playing with his fingers “I thought i saw her car in the garage this when I came over earlier… oh leave her to it for now. She’s with Jon…. Maybe they’re thinking about trying again.” She pointed out, getting up to go get another drink, bumping into Tyler on the way over and frowned some, getting back quickly. “You uh… you did a number on him.”

Jon chuckled some. “Club has changed a lot since you left. All the older generation is gone. Now we are technically the older generation… whole bunch of younger guys on the team now. Plus another charter is here to help us out with a problem.” He told her, laying his arm across the back of her shoulders the same way he always had

Alex nodded some "Would be good for him to have her back if they're both clean." He murmured letting her get up to get some drinks. As she came back he grunted in response as he glared towards Tyler "Lucky they pulled me off him.."

Max laughed a bit and nodded some "God I remember when you got patched in." She said before leaning back in her chair noticing his arm draped over her shoulders. It was worrying her a bit how easily they were falling back into their old routine like it was nothing, like no time had passed.
