Okay so I'm tagging everyone for this because it's an important announcement. Plus I'd like to see who is still willing to be involved. Essentially I'm using this as a role call, because we're starting to get into the thick of things soon and I'd like to know how many people we have on board. Everyone who is still willing to be a part of this, please like this post.


Also, I'm gonna have to ask you guys for help! I want this story to have some form of organisation to it, and I'd very much like for it to be based on the roles we have chosen for our characters. I don't want to plan out the story entirely, I'd like it to go wherever it goes, but at the same time I'd also like to plan things that can nudge it in certain directions and offer choices to our characters. To do this, I'm going to need to know from each of you what role do you intend for your character to take in this session?


I've already discussed this with a couple of people, but I'd like to go a bit more in depth. If you can all find some way to spare the time, I'd like you to really think about your characters Class and Role in the story and their personal quests. Once you have an idea, please PM me so we can discuss it in detail. You don't HAVE to follow your quest, or live up to your role, but I need it as a guideline for me to shape how things can be set up.


Right now I'm trying my best to organise ways our characters roles can have an impact on the session, but I can't do it alone.

How should we do the Server/Client order?

So far, I think the way things are looking it'll be something like:


Cato/Adrian/Arnold/Bach/Sean/Cato.


Everth/Sivuru/Geldin/Aepeta/Caelum/Moreli/Everth.


Maybe. That's one of the most likely ways I can see things working out at least. I'm probably wrong though, so don't take my word for it.


However, that's also without combining the two chains like I'm pretty sure we have to. In which case, we'd likely have much more radical chains and dynamics going on.

One looping chain is probably what we're aiming for.

Okay. Yeah, I believe it is one chain, but I personally haven't seen enough interaction that I remember, or pure setup on our parts to make a more accurate guesstimate on what our real chain would look like I don't think.

Yeah don't worry too much about who is connecting to who. The event that Aepeta is putting into place is going to disorganise any plans our characters have made IC and basically force people into being Server Players and Clients with whoever. I'm still working on the loop though, but if you do have any preferences that you feel are absolutely necessary to what you and someone else have planned, let me know and I'll do my best to include in it.


Btw @Strawberry Preserves I'm really tempted to end up making Bach have to be Cato or Adrien's Server player. Just because I'm evil.

Awesome. Everyone still has things to tie up with their characters before this happens though. I'm just finishing off a couple of Pesterlogs myself and then I will post for Adrien. Probably later this evening, I'm going out soon.

Btw, how far are we going in regards to alchemy? Like....how much can we alchemize, what can we, and how is everything in the game going to balance out? I'm just concerned over this, so any ideas would be appreciated.

In regards to that, I'm not going to place too many restrictions because that's adding a whole other level of stuff on top of everything else.


I trust everyone here to be responsible and understand that alchemizing more powerful gear requires a lot of grist. As long as you don't go too crazy towards the start of the roleplay, then we're good.


To be honest most of the kids in the comics reached their peak in alchemizing quite early and obtained lots of good gear really early into the comic. The same can happen here really. As long as we're sensible. No god-killing weapons immediately

Okie-doki. I'll keep that in mind. Personally, I find Alchemy to be the most OP aspect of Sburb. You can make just about anything you put your mind to, and that you've got the original pieces to use for creation, and the grist to make it happen and everything. It's why I'm pretty sure you can make like god-tier weapons that also happen to utilize RWBY's mechashift weapon models and everything. And more.

Yes, Cato is keeping his Grandfather reminds in the room for Time-y reasons and others but they aren't as important as the Time-y reason

I guess it's like Vriska, but instead of pushing them further into spinelessness it actually worked.

You would not believe how absolutely fucking pumped Caelum is right now. It'll show in my next post, but yeah, I doubt anyone has genuinely challenged him like that before so it really got to him.

Hey guys, I've been a bit inactive due to some personal issues and it being Mother's Day yesterday, but I'll still try to participate as much as I can. I may be a bit inactive this week up to the weekend because my birthday is coming up and I have a lot of unfortunate planning to do, which sucks balls. I still need to update that last pesterlog in Everth's post, then I plan on having a bit of a timelapse between then and a an event in the forest that will play a significant role in prototyping. Realistically, he would be one of the last to start the game, but that's only because his journey will take 24 hours to get back. If I can make a full timelapse before the game starts, he can start whenever it sees fit

As Ancient said we're on no rush. I've been swamped recently as well and I can only do so much work on my last set-up post for Act 1 before I'm too tired to continue. Hopefully I'll have it done tomorrow. That being said @Aquaknight I assume Adrien will be Cato's server player? We should have a final Pesterlog between them where they're talking about setting up. This of coarse will occur directly before the events of the End of Act 1 that were put into play by Aepeta.


By the way tomorrow we can start working on that post, getting some things outlined.


Also @Hauntd the only issue with your character taking that long to reach their home is that the meteors are planned to arrive within a few hours. That's okay though, because the meteor attack is being split between 2 planets we can say that it would take quite a while for any seriously threatening meteors to hit Alternia and wipe out the planet. Your character would have to enter last, but that's fine.


The enter order is going to be randomized due to the events set in place by Aepeta, so I'll have the order given to you guys soon. Just continue roleplaying as though your characters already have a system worked out.
