  S.H.I.E.L.D. has fallen and HYDRA has risen from its ashes. Every agent that was once seen as one of the best is either dead or has turned against S.H.I.E.L.D. In the aftermath of the crippling takeover, the surviving heroes must band together to revive the agency that they once worked for. It won’t be easy. The job never was. But if it was easy, everyone would do it.
  
  
  
  
  Acceptance and Applications
  
  Please post a filled out copy of the CS Template (feel free to add to it if you want). I will continue accepting applications until August 2, 2015 after which I will review all the applications and notify those selected via PM. The start date of the actual roleplay is currently undetermined, but those accepted will be notified a few days before the decided date. OCs are encouraged. Canon characters may be played if I approve you but you must submit a CS just as everyone else. If you're interested in playing a canon character, please PM me whenever convenient to discuss. Characters can either be powered or just an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. If you are making a powered character, you must be able to identify the weakness to your character's power.

  I hate to come across as harsh or mean or strict or whatever adjective with a negative connotation that you want to use here, but group RPs have a habit of not working out for me. If you have any concerns regarding these or any other details, feel free to pm me!
  
  
  
  No god-moding/Mary Sues/Etc
  
  This is just a basic rule you should always follow. Make your characters realistic, realistic characters have flaws.
  
  Proper grammar is a must
  
  English doesn't have to be your first language but you must understand how to write it. A few mistakes every now and then are okay but if you write in "txt talk" or just have terrible grammar, you will not be accepted into the roleplay. This is absolutely nonnegotiable.
  
  A minimum of one response per day
  
  This requirement may be negotiated on certain circumstances but it's important to be online often to help move the plot along
  
  A minimum of one paragraph per response
  
  A paragraph in this case is defined as at least four lines of solid content
  
  Being rude out of character is unacceptable
  
  Your partners are your friends. You should bond over the RP, not bicker and argue. In character, there are no restrictions as long as your character has good reason.
  
  Be original
  
  Don't be afraid to stray from the norm. Having a group of characters that are all identical except for their names is no fun.
  
  Know the premise of the show/movies/comics
  
  You don't have to be an expert on S.H.I.E.L.D. or the Avengers. It's not going to be straight out of the movies, shows, or comics. We'll carve our own path. Just have a good idea of what you're getting into.​

Greetings, fellow roleplayers! You guys probably have no idea who I am, so let me introduce myself. I'm @Bullet Tooth Tony: I am also really sorry to say that your character has been declined not only for the same reason as Deadkool's, but because the level of violence in which he indulges in is just far too extreme for the RP. Many of his moments would likely have to fade to black in order to be tolerable for viewing purposes (not according to RPN's rules, but according to the amount of gore other RPers may or may not be able to handle in a post). [EDIT: Gunther Aschenwenck has now been accepted following a reform to the character.] Sarabi Mensah by @Annabella: Your character has been accepted! However, before you post her sheet in the character sign-up page, I'd like you to replace the last bit of her backstory where it says she decided to join the Avengers with, "she was recruited by S.H.I.E.L.D. and put on the Index after being noticed by the organization, eventually allowed to train to be an agent under close supervision." It's important to keep in mind that the Avengers do not accept new members right off the bat; they're an exclusive division that operates by an "invite-only" principle. Mustafa Khaldun by @Shungila: I'm sorry, your character has been declined. He doesn't fit the parameters that the RP is working with. The sheet was submitted past the due date, and there were a number of issues ironed out that could not allow for his acceptance. -- So, there you have it! The confirmed cast members for "Saving S.H.I.E.L.D.: A Marvel Universe Roleplay". I'd also like for you guys to note that I will be partaking in this RP as an antagonist (possibly multiple, given how none of the confirmed characters aren't) and have been cleared by @RealisticFantasy to submit any necessary character sheets for said antagonist(s) at a later point in time for you guys to refer to. Now, I have two additional things to say to the accepted roleplayers before I depart, and the first of these two is very important for you guys to read, so pay close attention! First off: all of you need to change your character's occupational roles from "Avenger in Training" to "Enhanced Member of S.H.I.E.L.D.". This is so that it stays more true to the canonical way in which powered people such as your characters are handled in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as opposed to allowing them all to train to be Avengers if they so choose. The excuse for RealisticFantasy's character is that in "Calling Captain America", Nick Fury has inserted her into the team so that she may make up for her mistakes as a former HYDRA operative, and give her a chance to take down the people who kept her captive for 7 decades. Secondly, which should be a given when partaking in these kinds of RPs: Ensure that your character's powers have limits. We don't want to make the experience unenjoyable for other RPers or blow it ridiculously out of proportion by having them all have abilities that don't have some kind of consequence when overused. If instances of this are found being enacted by any of the roleplayers, you will be warned twice for any potential first two incidents and then asked to leave the RP after a third, leaving @RealisticFantasy and I to decide the fate of your character. So. With that having all been said, congratulations to the accepted roleplayers and we hope you have fun. ( )
