Highschool sucks, everyone knows that. There's bullies, horrible lunch food, mean teachers. It's worse when you're different from everyone else, whether you keep it a secret or not.


But it's summer now, we can be who we want, and we aren't afraid to show who we love.

Saturday night, June 30th at 9:23 p.m.


None of us understand why we were invited to this party, we're different from everybody, they avoided us at school like we were germs, not like we cared or anything. We only came to see what would happen, out of curiosity.


Kim thought these exact things as she and Erik walked up to the large, mansion that their classmate would call a house. "What are we dping here?" Erik asked Kim quietly as she opened the door.


Kim replied, her british accent very noticeable, "to simply have fun" she winked before stepping inside. The music was blaring, people were getting stoned, drinking, dancing. "Oh wow, want a beer?" She asked Erik, he just shrugged amd wandered off, talking to students in their school. Kim just laughed amd walked to the kitchen where she found coolers upon coolers off booze and mixers. "Alrighty, lets see here..." she mumbled, plucking a beer from one of the coolers, opening it, then taking a long drink from it.


Wyatt shyly walked up to the house, he'd never been to a party before, and it was exactly how he read it in the books. He stepped in and noticed his friend Erik, of course, he was too shy to talk to anyone so he sat down on the couch and someone handed him a beer, "oh uh I-i d-dont drink" he tried to tell the person, but the drunk person just walked away, so he sat there. The beer in hand, watching all the people dance.


Erik stood there, talking to some girls in their class, the girls desperate for his attention. He just smirked and draped his arms around two of them. He was a popular boy in school, everyone knew he was bisexual, but usually only the ladies were the ones to give him the attention. He didn't mind.

Jaquelin sat, or rather reclined, by herself in one corner of the mansion, a bear in one hand of which she occasionally took a sip from. She watched the partiers doint what people in these party's do: chatting, flirting, drinking, dancing and general horseplay. Though she didnt take part, only invented due to her sport exploits and only there because home was an option either, it was a fun atmosphere to be about watching people make a fool of themselves. One of them about to make a fool of them sat come over and sat by her, a jock clearly drunk and by the look in his eyes he was ready to mingle. He was clearly ignoring the radiating look of disinterest and revulsion radiating from Jaquelin. "Hey.. You must the bitching boxing girl that knocked the stuffing of that ugly Ike High chick..."


"Ah pardonne moi.. I know i have an accent so i will try to to be as eh clear as possible... Piss off!" She said only looking at him only when telling him off. He gave her a look of shock like who would not say no to him, he was clearly not from the school. He went to complain but it seemed some of his friends came over and dragged him elsewhere. Seemed despite reputation of being a bitch doesnt seem to keep the the occasional suitor away, they didnt seem get she was interested in men in fact according to what was said and teasing among the jocks friends it was taken as a challenge.

Jade wandered around the large house, a cola in her hands. She wasn't one to drink alcohol. Hell, she wasn't one to go to parties like these. But it was her last year in highschool, she wanted to make the most of it. She came across an old"friend" of hers, Jaquelin. Watching her explode at that drunk idiot was very funny. Jade was about to talk to Jaqu, but she hesitated, unsure of what to say.

Jaquelin felt eyes on her and turned to see the timid looking Jade looking at her. " Hey...Eh...Comment tu dis... Carrot top. Is there a reason you have the pretty blue eyes looking at me? Remember last time you did that?" She said threateningly, she didnt like to be stared especially from Jade. Jaquelin was less then courteous with Jade more them most people. It was not out of some thing jade did or pleasure she gained from it, it was just Jade her made her feel strange when she knew she shouldn't.

Jade's heart lurched when Jaquelin stared at her those piercing eyes. She found herself breathing a tad bit faster at the memory of last encounters with the girl staring at her. She took a sip of her soda once she noticed the dryness of her mouth. Taking a deep breath, she continued.


"Are we ever going to put the past behind us? I'm ready to move on from this," Jade said, glad she was finally getting off her chest. Jade was turkey ready to leave everything behind, start with a clean slate. She was a blank canvas ready to be transformed into a piece of artwork.

Melanie and Adam walked up to the door of the mansion.


As always Adam trailing behind her as she texted some friends.


"I don't know about this..." Adam started, "I don't know anyone. Maybe I should just go home..."


"Don't be stupid." Melanie said shoving her phone in her pocket. "This is the best party of the year. You can't miss it. Plus maybe you'll meet that special guy." she said winking at Adam.


He blushed covering his face. He looked around to make sure no one heard her.


Melanie pushed open the door as if welcoming all the people to her. It sure seemed like it because as soon as she walked in a huge crowd of people were pooling around her. And in a second she was downing a beer and going off to play some game.


Adam walked off to the corner and sat down on the couch. He didn't know what he was supposed to do here. He grabbed a beer from a guy walking buy and took a drink. This was going to be a long night.

Nate, having been in the bathroom for both hiding and hair-fixing purposes, finally walks out, tired of other party guests banging on the door. Some have formed a tiny crowd, convinced that the male had someone else in the room with him, but, when a second person doesn't appear, a few people show their disappointment by shoving the teenager. Nathaniel ignores then and finds his way to the kitchen, where he stands at the counter, opening a beer and chugging half of it down. He glances about slowly, wondering if parties are worth his beautiful presence.


The male smirks to himself, amused by his own arrogance. He knows his speaking skills aren't quite as perfect as his appearance, so he decides to keep to himself for now, watching people sink out of their sober realities. That would be him, too, after a few more bottles.

However she kept a stern look focusing directly into her eyes she could sense her nervousness and quicken breathing. "Look, you keep away from me and you will be fine..."She said though more softly." Kim saw Melanie walk in. She just smirked and looked at the boy who just walked in "man, that girls really hot" she said, her accent strong then nodding toward Melanie. She noticed the boy not saying anything and tilted her head "whats up with you boy, cat got your tongue?" She raised an eyebrow and shrugged it off "see ya around" she nodded and walked over to Mel "hey girlie where ya been" she smirked.


Wyatt smiled a bit at the boy who sat beside him but frowned when he drank beer "how could you drink that. It's so gross" he ssid quietly, then cowered back to his spot and avoided the boys gaze. He glanced at the kitchen and noticed Nate, letting his gaze linger on the boy for a bit.


Erik smirked when Adam walked in and walked over to him, reaching his arms around Wyatt and Adam, knowing them being shy, would make them uncomfortable. "So what made you two come to the party" he said to the two of them "you're both shy and quiet, and you don't leave the library he told them. Wyatt just kept his gaze toward Nate.

As Nate looks around, he quickly notices another male staring back at him, but he flicks his eyes away, pretending to have a habit of staring at random people. He stares at a girl until she notices, and he is forced to retreat and do something else.


The male opens the fridge and digs around, as if he is hungry. When he glances back into the crowds again, the random girl is gone, furtunately, but the boy has managed to keep looking at him. Nathaniel watches him, now, curious about the eyes looking at him. He couldn't help people from staring; he knows he's gorgeous. It's just... usually people don't continue looking at him for this long.


After a few silent seconds, another teen approaches Mr. Eyes and seems to be trying to hug him and another boy. It's an awkward situation, Nate can tell, so he strains his ears to listen. He hears the beginning question of their presence, but the rest is blocked by another person screaming in the kitchen, shouting about sex, or whatnot. Nathaniel takes a deep breath, takes a can of beer from the fridge (instead of wasting time with the bottle opener again), and walks toward the trio.


When the male arrives, he knows he shouldn't be so suggestive, but he decides this would allow him to actually meet Mr. Eyes. Nate wraps his fingers around the other male's hand and looks the talkative boy in the eyes with a friendly smile.


"I invited him. Thank you for finding him, I was starting to think he hadn't bothered to show up... I'm glad he's here, now."


Nate grins, as his last words are somewhat true, and he looks back Mr. Eyes.


"Right, cutie?"

Jade felt herself bolted to the floor, her eyes locked with Jaqu's in an intense stare down. She wanted to move, but couldn't control her body. Jade's heart pounded in her chest, but she couldn't pin point what the emotion she felt was. Was it fear, hate? No, it felt like something else she couldn't name.


"I-I," she tried to choke out, her mouth going dry again.

"I...I... What? Lost your voice? Alle out with it then!" She said nudging jade a bit. She didnt like Jade's timidnes, she wanted Jade to speak her mind and react finally otherwise jade would be a walkover. It seemed counter productive for Jaquelin but she didn't want control over her or anything, she waneed her out of sight and hopefully out of mind. "You must have some backbone somewhere, can't be this coward."

Elodie sat in her car for a while, looking at the party. From her car, the sounds were muted, but no less frightening. Her fists were clenched around the wheel and her body tense, ready to drive off at any second. But she didn't. She tried to remember her conversation with Emmanuel, who insisted she go to this party. He said she could be brave, and it would be good for her to try out something new yet again, especially at this new high school. She'd only been going for a year and had yet to make any friends... or enemies. At least by attending this party, maybe she wouldn't remain so stagnant. She was invited, after all - someone had to know her name, right? That thought sent another shiver down her back. Someone knew who she was? Maybe they don't, she reassured herself. Maybe she'd just been on a copied and pasted list of students. Maybe.


Heart racing, palms sweating, and hands trembling, Elodie slowly, methodically got out of her car. She braced herself against the loud noises and bright lights before walking up to the mansion. On some level, it amused her how antithetic this party was for her, which she'd said upon receiving the invitation. But she let Emmanuel convince her and she was deeply regretting it now. Despite it, she was determined to at least try, partly so she could tell Emmanuel never to convince her to do this again, and partly to satisfy herself. It was difficult to remember what about this experience could possibly be gratifying when she was having trouble even keeping her breathing steady, though. It was only the unexpected sound of someone speaking French that prevented her panic from escalating any further. It was perhaps the last thing she expected to find at this party. Of all places...? she thought, turning her head to see two girls sizing off against one another. Elodie froze; she wanted to walk away, but felt like her limbs were made of lead. Suddenly, shaking, she pulled her phone from her pocket.

Jade finally lost it, she had had enough of this torment.


"What's your problem? What could I have possibly done to make you this bitchy? Do you hate me, or have a stick so far up your ass that you take it out on anyone and everyone? I suggest you get a new hobby, one that won't piss off everyone!" She yelled before she could control herself. Realizing what she did, Jade took a step back and covered her mouth in fear and shock.

Jaquelin, despite Jade words, tried hard to hide a smile and mentain her stern demenor. "So she has voice after all.... The reason... Well.... it is lesser sin..." she said almost in a whisper before regaining some of her tone. "Just stay away from me neither of us need the temptation." She placedar the beer away and walked past jade on her way out.

"Hold on a minute," Jade said, grabbing Jaquelin's shoulder as she walked away. "What do you mean be 'lesser sin'? And what sort of temptation are you talking about," she asked, her confidence overflowing. Jade didn't even notice how flushed her cheeks were.

Melanie laughed and smiled when Kim asked her where shes been. She gklanced over at Adam, who was still alone.


"I was trying to convince Adam to come to this awesome party!" she said, 3 beers already in her system.


She hugged Kim and started talking to the other people around her.


Adam watched as Erik walked up to him. He knew who he was from around school but he had never actually talked to him before. He smiled and waved as Erik put his arm around him. He felt uncomfortable, yet odly loved the touch of someone else. He blushed, but tried to hide it.


"Mel made me come, she said i needed to make more friends." He said leaving out the part of him finding that special guy and being gay. He didnt want Erik to know. He thought that that would make Erik not like him.


Adam then looked over at Wyatt, who was still staring of into the kitchen somewhere. He followed his gaze and saw he was looking at Nate. He had no idea. He deviated his attention back to Erik.

"Fine, whatever. I'm sorry that you can't seem to deal with your emotions, but I guess that's not my problem," Jade said, walking to the front door. Jade exited the house, taking a breather out in the yard.

Wyatts eyes went wide as Nate actually came up to him and talked to him. "Oh u-uhm I-I guess" he mumbled standing up quickly and looking at Erik and Adam then back at Nate "okay then..." he turned to the door and walked outside. He sat on the deck, inside being stuffy. He took a few deep breaths and tried to calm his shaking hands.


Erik smirked when Nate flirted with Wyatt. He just shook his head with and looked back at Adam "well I'm glad Mel brought you here" he told Adam before taking a drink from his beer. "Yknow, you're pretty cute when you blush" he told Adam with his signature smirk.


Kim looked over at the couch and noticed Erik flirting with Adam and shook her head. Kim downed the rest of her beer and grabbed Mels hand "come with me to the kitchen, I need another beer" and before Mel could reply she pulled the girl toward the kitchen, picking a drink from the cooler and popping the cap off. Kim then, snaked her arm around Mels waist and winked at the girl.
