Saga of the Seven Sins - The Second Cycle

Okay, I eliminated all 8 of my offensive charms and two nice but unnecessary utility Charms. I'm scared I won't be able to hurt anything, but I probably won't die, either. I'm going to get my ass kicked by SMA, though.

I cut a handful of Melee Charms off, and shaved a couple of spells. I have gotten the number down to the 55.

To be blunt, your enemies are going to be half-dead by the time you get the chance to attack. Sherwood has the Charcoal March of spiders MASTERED. The enemies are probably going to be dead the moment combat starts.

<innocent blink> I don't know what you mean. I'm just little ol' me.

Yeah, I'm afraid of the other guy who ALSO has CMS mastered, or maybe HSO ( :o ). I figure we can't be the only E6 characters to have mastered a MA. Hell, the Deathlords have half a dozen. Plus my backstory has me picking fights with Sidereals on a regular basis. If I can't fight CMS, that doesn't make much sense.

Hmm, I'm considering whether or not to raise the charm cap of Lunar, since knacks interact different than with charms. Since you told me you had to sell off all of your offensive charms.

Or am I better off separating number of charms from the number of free knacks?

Ooh, yes please. I have 20 Knacks, so if the ratio is at all positive I'll definitely benefit from that ( :P ). After Excellencies I was down to 30 Charms.

Eeuurgh. Yeah, losing five Charms is gonna *hurt.* I was really hoping to get to my Shintai sooner this time around, but... I'm going to have to compromise and get Cece's crappy immateriality shintai instead of Heuristic Logos just to meet the Devil-Tiger prerequisites.(>:<)

I hate to ask for further breaks, but I don't suppose you'd consider expanding the DT charm-selling options, and let me dump some things that really don't fit either mechanics or concept? Or is keeping two regular Yozi Shintais a necessary balance point in your view?

Also, are we using Vance's "stunt canon" Infernals 2.5 rewrite?

Okay, new plan. 45 charms at 20 knacks for Lunars.

Edit: @WarDragon. I'll allow you to cannibalize your shintais and stuff. Creating a devil tiger completely as a new Character is different from making one over the course of a campaign.

Err, you probably shouldn't do that. Rykon doesn't have nearly as many Knacks as I do, so they'll actually LOSE Charms out of that. The 5 extra charms is certainly appreciated, though.

Just to confirm, then. It is a total of 55 Charms for the Sidereals? If not, I need to know to make more changes.

Ok. I'm good, then. If my having the CMoS technique is going to be a problem for you, I can drop it if you insist. I would cry like a baby, but I want to have a fun game.

maybe separating, but I'm not entirely sure. I'll go ahead and post a pdf here of what I have so far to let you get an idea of what I was going for. If I have to make cuts though it'd probably be dropping my training charms and sorcery in favor of a young solar ally to do those things for me, since breeding an army as a recreational activity is something I felt to be important to the overall build. All I really have left to finish is backgrounds.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_03/Kitsuo_pdf.76fed3d417aeb813994466e001192d4a" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="43984" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_03/Kitsuo_pdf.76fed3d417aeb813994466e001192d4a" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

It's just that it's... CMoS. The Sidereal styles are naturally overpowered as fck. It's going to be a pain to balance, but I'm going to let you do it. It just means that I'm going to have to escalate the enemy level somewhat or do some of the more esoteric stuff.

I know right? it feels really awkward to have such a top heavy build considering almost everything else is ability based.

True... did you perhaps mean Snow Lion? :P

Ah, I see, Emperor Ox Expansion. That explains a bit on the Spirit Shape.

Well, if we are planning on carving out an empire, we will probably be running into some nasty stuff that will take a Circle of Exalts to take down.
I'm confused on how an Arctic Fox has 7 Strength and 7 Stamina.
Since it's not an animal covered in the material here is my logic.

I couldn't find stats for one and thought well, if the Ermine being super sized into the Ice Weasel gives it an attribute spread of 4/6/4 considering that a normal Ermine is the size of a ballpark footlong hotdog. If I wanted to go with different northern predator sized up to about half the shoulder height of a snow lion, a 5 foot (to the shoulder) fox would be bear like in stat spread. so imagining a 6/4/6 attribute spread as opposed to a bear's 7/2/6 spread I then applied the benefits of the Mountainous Spirit Expression Knack which gives it the large mutation 7/4/7 and then Internal form mastery takes it to 7/6/7. At the end of the day though, short of the large mutation, I ended up with something that was identical to my natural attributes which I paid for plus the two knacks I have to augment the spirit form. So as a sanity check I spent 2 charm slots worth to have a really cool looking form with a negligible attribute buff of 2 dots. Even though it's not a lot of return, I still appreciate it a rule of cool side investment.

Mmhhhm, yeah. Army-scale Wyld Hunts, Deathlords, other Exalts with ambitions... gonna be awkward if someone summons Ligier on us. He and Viktor did not part on good terms.

Okay, under the Charm limit. You'll have to give me some guidelines for who I can and can't have slept with - I have Grala listed as a Heart's Blood but you might veto that, for instance. Are Second Circle Demons okay? I'm assuming it would be a bit absurd if I slept with Erembour or Ligier.<p><a href="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_03/Opal_pdf.3674c9113c345590c131a9ea6c8493a7" class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image"><img data-fileid="43989" src="<fileStore.core_Attachment>/monthly_2015_03/Opal_pdf.3674c9113c345590c131a9ea6c8493a7" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt=""></a></p>

Just a thought here, but would things be easier on our ST if I drop the CMoS down to just cover the Form Charm? That way, it gives me a few Charms to invest somewhere else, and we don't have to run into Deathlords every fight.
