Multiple Settings S.D.I.C(Supernatural Department of Investigation and Containment) interest/recruitment check.

PRAISE THE EMPEROR
Howdy!! I haven't been on in a hot minute, so let me introduce myself!! I go by Caesar on here, and most won't know me, but if you were around for it, I happened to be one of the members for the Lockheed Orphanage RP(that sadly died, may it return one day), and after what happened to that one, I sadly began losing interest in roleplaying entirely. But as of recently I've been wanting to come back and start up new role plays and I'm curious to see if anyone would be interested in a series I've been working on for a bit.

The title kind of gets the gist of it out there, but to go into more in depth detail, the series follows the tales and files of an organization known as the S.D.I.C, or the Supernatural Department of Investigation and Containment, founded by Theodore Roosevelt in 1905 in secrecy, even from the rest of the United States government after discovering a Supernatural Anomaly, specifically the 3000 year old son of Dracula, in the pursuit of investigating and containing Supernatural phenomena and Anomalies.

The first instance of it would be tracking down one of the many folklore monsters of the North American continent , debating between a Wendigo or a Navajo Skin walker. Just curious to see if anyone would be interested. Please let me know if anyone of you would be interested!! And I'm open to any and all questions regarding my plans for it, if you'd like me to delve even deeper into details.

For anyone else who may be interested, here's the three main links:

This has Hellboy vibes all over it. The whole BPRD thing, ya know?
I'm tentatively interested but would like to know the parameters and limitations of character creation.

Honestly, the idea comes from multiple source inspirations, like Hellsing, Hellboy, and even SCP. But for now, there's not really any limitations other than 3 characters max, and parameters for this revolve around things like roles, species, things of that sort. I'm not too picky on characters or their functions, so unless I say otherwise, I'm open to just about anything!!

yes, well, I'd like to know what the parameters ARE regarding roles and species, character ages, etc. Can we be something other than human? How far out are we allowed to go? For instance, could we make a character that is say... a lycanthrope? a goblin? an alien? a cyborg?

What is the SDIC organized like? Can we get like a table or detailed rundown of its administrative structure so that we can fit a character into its ranking system?

Btw, what year is the RP setting taking place? Your original post mentioned a 3000 year old son of Dracula... but Dracula was born in 1431 as Vlad III.iI we are going off of Stoker's lore (OG lore): in 1897 (the timeframe of the novel) he is only centuries old, not millennia. So is this RP set in the future year of 4000 + AD?

Hmm, I actually don't think Dracula was ever confirmed to be Vlad the Impaler in the original novel.

maybe not (though it is a common attribute post-novel), but in the novel he IS written to be centuries old, and the setting is late 1800's.

Yep, so that sets a lower limit but not an upper limit for his age.

This was the question I was genuinely hoping for.

1: Yes, I actually promote being other species outside of humans, as the SDIC will go out of its way to hire the more "docile" and cooperative of the Supernaturals/Anomalies. The only limitations I have on those are things is if there is an overabundance. After all, it's a human run organization, so not everyone can play a supernatural anomaly.

2: The SDIC is organized in a similar manner to what many government/military/scientific organizations would be, so they have scientists, military personnel, test subjects, etc. The only big thing is they operate outside of government knowledge, and they're independently funded by the Roosevelt family, who keeps the organization and it's origins under extreme classification. Even discovering they exist is essentially a death wish. Basically the rank and file roles of most government organizations.

3: This universe is it's own standalone from the traditional media of things, so in this universe, Dracula isn't actually a person, but a title, and the one I speak of is actually a vampire from the 1300s, and his last known sighting in this universe would be back in 1605, before he basically vanished from the records of history, and also the day said mentioned vampire/son was conceived. The reason I'm doing it like this is because vampires in this world are very much different from traditional vampires, and unlike most media, they're actually one of the main reasons people go missing, such as the over 400 folk who have gone missing around the caves scattered across the US parks.

So it is set in the future then? Or did you mean to write that the son was 300 years old?

And to answer this question, the year setting is about 2037, not too far into the future, but technology advanced extremely fast and extremely differently from our modern day setting.
As expected

Not extremely far in our future, but as it's its own timeline and universe, the rules operate very differently from our traditional modern setting. Think of futuristic/modern setting.

Sweet. I'm not going to make an alien cyborg character, btw. was just putting the question to exemplify an extreme notion. imo, that kinda character seems out of place. But im definitely of the mind to make a low-powered "supernatural" character.

Is there a simple breakdown to field agent rankings? Can I assume we are using standardized Private<Seargent<Lieutenant<Captain styled rankings?
its all just nomenclature to me. Just wanna know what titling is appropriate.

So does that mean vampires can procreate post-vampirism?

1: Yeah, essentially, the only difference between ranks and titles is the roles. If you're a scientist/researcher, you'd use scientific role titles, if you're part of the investigation teams, it's things like Detective or Agent. But you've got the gist of it down.

2: Yes, they can, as vampires in this world are not necessarily undead, just defy all known science. You can be born or turned in this world, but the naturally born are far stronger than turned.
