William followed the group silently, listening and taking in all that they wanted, and or needed to say. He watched Demi slowly become more and more aggressive, and uncomfortable, was she in fact one of those furbags? He then corrected himself, not furbags, but rather faunas. He swallowed and looked around at the gathered students, before looking back at those assembled on stage, and took in every iota of detail he could from Ozpins speech. When he finished, he slithered up to Demi. "Hell of a motivational speech, eh?" he asked with a slight chuckle.

Markus laughed. "You could say that." He said looked over at Demi and smiled at her. He then looked at Hayden. "Oh by the way I am Markus. I'm originally from Vacuo, but I was transferred to Atlas for some outstanding reasons." He said with a crooked smile. He took off his hat and bowed. His wolf ears were showing. "Yes I am a faunus, and I am proud of it... Don't put me out for a second trust me." He chuckled. "When it comes time for teams just remember that I am a force to be reckoned with." He said as he scrunched up his nose. His nose was the most powerful thing he had. He could follow a path that had gone cold for a week with one scent.

Shadow

Multi-coloured irises were concealed behind lowered eyelids, the hybrid enjoying the serenity her clear mind offered. The dispute between two males across the airship, however, dragged her out of her silence, much to her displeasure. Exhaling slowly out her nose, Shadow opened her eyes slightly to witness the scene before her. The larger male seemed to be messing with another. Typical. Competition was always a major issue between students, but Shadow knew that that would be their greatest downfall. The students ought to strive to be their best, keeping their accomplices and themselves alive and well; not attempt to better their acquaintances when their lives are in danger.

As the small altercation quickly dissipated, the Faunus watched as a female made her way to the male who had attacked and defended himself against the larger male. Of course, the "courageous male" always attracted the pretty females. As the female walked past Shadow, she could faintly smell the scent of aminal on her.
Another Faunus, Shadow noted silently.

Her eyes flicked away from the fox and glanced over the others on the airship. There was a significant amount of space between Shadow and any other students, which she expected. Who would dare stand near the mysterious, hooded figure that had a light black mist emanating off of them? They were afraid of her, and she had no problem with that. The less people she had to encounter and deal with, the better.

Averting her gaze back to the window, she began to observe the landscape below. Fascination was something that she could not deny that she felt. Originating from a poor, fairly barren town, Shadow was taken aback by the excessive extravagance that Vale offered. Everything was much different than she had imagined. Her observation was cut short as a holographic woman appeared on the airship, speaking to the students. It was a quick introduction that lasted only a minute or so, and the woman was gone as abruptly as she had appeared.

The airship landed and everyone began exiting, heading towards the main area at which the introductory speech would take place. Unfamiliar with Beacon Academy, Shadow silently and subtly followed the students that seemed to know where they were going. The scent of humans was almost overwhelming, but the wolf-human could pick out the occasional hybrid at times, whether it be another wolf or a fox. Her scent, however, was not among them, thanks to the odor-eliminating perfume-like potion she wore daily. She didn't want some idiotic Faunus revealing her identity to the surrounding humans.

Shadow entered the main area, keeping her distance from the crowd and sticking to the outskirts. The speech was long and uninteresting. It had a hint of "let me try to be motivational" but to no avail. The moment the introduction ended, Shadow slipped out the doors and away from the crowd, isolating herself from the others. She made her way back outside and went further away from the entrance, leaning against the wall nonchalantly. Taking a deep breath, the Faunus closed her eyes once again the gather her thoughts. She wasn't exactly sure where to go or what to do now, so she just hoped that she'd overhear a conversation that revealed that information.

Standing outside Hayden turned and saw a unfamiliar student in a hooded outfit, in his mind he wondered if the person knew where they were going or if they were waiting for someone. Deciding against his better judgement he approached the person in question and noticed that there seemed to be smoke rising from their body. "Excuse me, sorry if I am being a bother, but are you lost or waiting for someone?" He asked, one eyebrow cocked up to show he was neither scared but more or less curious to the response he would receive. Thanks to Ozpin mentioning his codename in front of the students in the gathering he would most likely be found out by the next day. He didn't like being hounded on information about hunting down White Fang members. He didn't find it amusing, it was just his job. A job that constantly demanded his attention when he wasn't doing other things.

Shadow revealed her multi-coloured irises hastily, her eyes snapping open at the voice that was seemingly speaking to her. In the short amount of time she had been standing there, she had gotten herself lost in her thoughts once again. It wasn't so much that she was thinking or overthinking, though; it was more so that she was clearing her mind and getting lost in the serenity the absence of thoughts her mind offered her. The solitude was addicting. That would get her killed one day.

The Faunus was slightly startled that someone had dared approach her. It was rare; most avoided her at all costs. But then she realized that it was the female-attracting male from earlier. He seemed to be the one who pushed aside fears regularly to find out information to face situations, so she understood now why she was approached.

Clearing her throat quietly to warm up her hardly-used vocal chords, the hybrid responded hesitantly, "
Lost." Her voice was low and tinted with a foreign accent—one that we would recognize as a Russian accent. She repeated one of the options the male offered, not too keen on delving into the language the male spoke, English. It was not her first language, and she was still learning some grammar rules and terms. So instead of attempting to speak English and make herself look like a fool, she repeated words and kept her answers short and concise.

"I see, then follow me." He said turning away from her and moved away from the crowd yet again, he didn't want to get swept up in the crowd of student who would be rushing out soon. He on the other hand could sense she didn't want to talk much and took that as a sign that he should keep his speaking to a minimum. Instead he focused on the task at hand. As he walked though he felt his phone buzz, pulling it out he saw a message was left for him which he quickly read. 'Ozpin forbids me to leave campus until after the ceremony tomorrow? Ugh, damn it Ozpin...' He thought sighing a bit. At least he knew that he would at least be able to leave afterwards but that would mean avoiding his teams watchful gaze which would be hard enough as is. He looked back to see if she was following him or not. He didn't worry about not seeing Demi because they were all heading to the same area anyway. (If Demi and the others want to run and catch up then do so now otherwise they will see Hayden later on.)

After the ceremony Ash decided to follow a large group of students. It was his best bet to finding out where to go. He saw the same boy from the airship, this sparked the memory of the counter thing he did with his hand. Ash picked up his pace until he was next to the boy, "neat trick you did there back on the airship. With you countering that other guy." Ash asked. He knew it was kinda rude to barge in on the guy, but Ash was curious about this guy.

William saw his new found leader and ran after him "Hayden! Hayden wait for me!" he yelled, barging through the crowded hallways, uttering a series of "Sorries", "Fuck off"'s and "Get your fat arse out of my way." William made it to him, and was now exhausted, he was wheezing, gasping for air "H-hayden... for Dusts sake, where did you go?"

Somewhat grateful that there was someone who was willing to help her out, she was still cautious. Perhaps he would lead her to somewhere she didn't want to be? Maybe he was one of the returning students who made a fool out of the newcomers? Maybe he was a traitor and worked with one of the gangs or criminal groups. Or worse: the White Fang. She had to let out a slow breath to calm her raging thoughts. If it came to it, she could defend herself. She had to do it many times; more times than she'd like to admit.

As she followed the male, his phone went off. His entire demeanor suddenly changed as he checked his messages, and Shadow couldn't help her ears twitching in curiosity, wondering what made this student so upset. Perhaps one of her suspicions were correct, and he was a gang member or a criminal or a traitor. Knowing better than to pry and make the situation worse, however, she remained silent.

Two other students began to approach the one she was following, referring to him as "Hayden". Accomplices? Newcomers? Shadow wasn't exactly sure, but she slowed a bit to make sure there was enough distance between her and the others, though she made sure that the one called Hayden still knew she was following him.

The speech had gone on for ever, was ozpin and the Goodwitch EVER going to shut up. Sadly she's heard most of this speech already when the Ozpin had come to talk her brother into her coming to Beacon. She was getting sleepy again even with all the cat napping she'd done on the trip over. She couldn't help it though she loved sleep and all things cuddly, though that was a more secret side of her.

Suddenly the speech was over however and Ozpin was heading for her little group. She could feel her tail bristling but kept it under control. Then something completely odd happened. He addressed Hayden as the Enforcer. Bright magenta eyes would follow his leave and then suddenly was assaulted by their fellows before she could turn to follow. Coming up a half step short as Markus explained first about his origins and then about his genetics her eyes sharpened a hair and she glanced down to William as he explined the speech was hella long. Demi puffed her cheeks for a second and exhaled. This was becoming exhausting.

She turned on heel and took off out of the crowd and headed for the gym in which Ozpin had spoken about. She found herself on of the first there and would shuffle her ruksack down to the floor tucked back behind a stair case she curled up and prepaired to sleep until nightfall. She was hazy with sleep and her pink eyes barely peeked at others as they came into the gym. She was homesick and missing her brother but the calm rest she would get before nightfall was essential to her. That was after all her most active time of day.

Markus looked at Demi. She was reluctant to tell him her name. Meh, faunus can be stubborn some time. He followed her to the gym and set up shop on one of the bleachers. It was still light out, but he was tired enough of the day to where he could fall asleep at any moment. He tilted his hat and began to doze off. He let off a slight snore.

Unfortanetly for Markus he couldn't sleep. He awoke a half an hour later and looked around. Most people were out cold, traveling all day can do that. He shrugged and looked around. He saw one person up, the one that didn't like him, Demi. He made his way over there and sat down next to her. "Why do you hide the fact that you are a Faunus and try to act like human when your obviously not?" He looked at her with his cold eyes. "Are you ashamed of who you are? Or what you are?"

Demi was indeed awake and sitting closer to a window now, further away from the mass of slumbering bodies. Her magenta eyes focused on the moon it would appear while her thoughts were distant and vague. She missed her brother but in the same moment she was glad to be so far from home. So far from the military life of travel, hunt, train she was practically electric with energy. She was excited to have new friends? Acquaintances? She wasn’t sure what these new people in her life would lead to but she was more than ready for the challenges that laid out ahead of her.

Something would catch her ultra sensitive hearing and her sharpened vision would turn to lock onto Markus as he popped up from his resting place. ~Don’t see me don’t see me…FRAK~ Too late the wolfen Faunus was already standing up and lumbering his way over. My he’s a rather big fellow! Well at least compared to her he was. She waited until it was affirmed that he was making his way over before her eyes dropped from their cold stare.

He flopped down next to her and she took a hesitant sniff before sighing in relief and mumbling, “I see you managed to find a shower…” But he suddenly asked her the one thing she’d been hopping to avoid, at least until the second day or so! He was acting like her pretending to be human was any of his business at all. She didn’t know him but because they were the same species he must think he was entitled. She almost started a rude retort but would still her tongue momentarily and decided it would be better for her to practice her response with him rather than a human.

“I’m not hiding my Faunus heritage, I’m simply keeping it a topic off the table.” She said rather curt still in her remark she took a softening breath and the very tip of her tail gave a soft twitch from it’s place wrapped about her waist. “I am not ashamed, I am proud to be a Faunus, but sometimes it’s easier to make friends in a place so dominated by humans if you simply take the… Distractions away.” She meant simply by keeping her ears and tails hidden it was just easier to get past the annoyance of OH You’re a Fuanus! “But to be honest you are the first and only one to realize what I am, either that or others simply do not care.” Her pupils expanded fully giving her the look of a cat with catnip in its whiskers. “Now a question from me… Why do you care how I act or present myself?”

He closed his eyes and smirked. He lightly chuckled. "If a bird were to act like a cat, some would think the bird was crazy, and vise versa. Some people look their whole life to find themselves. And what they are missing is embracing their true self. The person they are meant to be." He looked at the moon. "In old legends the wolf would howl at the moon. Non would know why... There is an old tale. The wolf was always seen as the bad guy. The people would be afraid of the big bad wolf, and would cower in fear from it, and when they heard it's cry to the moon they though it was going to be hell tonight. But what they didn't realize was that the wolfs cry to the moon were because the moon was the only thing that would listen. It didn't pass judgement on the wolf. Every night it went up and it went down, but it would come back.... Now why would I tell you this story... Yes I am a wolf Faunus born and raised in a pack. And I accept the fact that I am a wolf Faunus and that people are going to be afraid and be scared of me. But there will be people who are like the moon in the story, who will come back and not judge him. I've accepted that and embraced it. But you don't." He looked back at her. "Now to the point because I believe that we are going to work together soon and a teammate should care for their teammate." He said as he smiled at her.

Hayden had successfully lead the newcomer to where she was meant to be and had found himself by the window, his eyes watching the night sky. This request from Ozpin was eating away at him, why couldn't he do what he was meant to do? Was it because of the test for tomorrow? He sighed to himself and threw his hands up in frustration. He threw himself on the cot next to Demi, William and Markus. He smiled to himself a little, at least he could do it after tomorrow. "Get some rest, tomorrow will be a long day."

Demi’s magenta eyes stared at the wolfen faunus as he blantly stated her unwillingness to accept her true self. She anted to growl but reframed as he continued with his little story her eyes sharpening more and more, her anger was spiking and her ears were no longer tucked back due to hiding them, but from the anger that boiled in her. ~You don’t even know me~ She wanted to snap, a flicker of blue pink fire slipped from the skin on her right hand and she bore down on her own Semblance to keep it in check. No need to start fires Demi! ~ Her brother’s voice echoed in warning she calmed and her tail still as did all outward signs of anger. She took a gentle breath then said.

“Let me say this if you cared you would leave me to my habits who cares if I am Fau…” She halted her tongue though suddenly Hayden was throwing himself down on the cot beside the two. Her bright pink eyes large she averted her gaze and her right hand went to work straightening her hair, a bad habit one would think she was just fiddling or twirling her luscious locks but infact it was a habit from hiding her ridiculously large ears. She glanced up at Hayden as he told them they should all rest. She blinked and gave a fake yawn “Yeah I’m pretty tired myself!” She said and then without warning she face planted into her ruck sack and curled into a ball on top of it, screw a sleeping bag, this floor was far more comfy that any of the training area’s she been forced to patrol.

((Sorry Crap post is crap FACE+DESK- I fail!)_)))

Markus sighed when she stopped mid sentence. "Come on embrace who you are and say Faunus in front of them... If you aren't then I will make you say it." He looked at the moon and sighed. He couldn't sleep. He walked out side and looked at the moon. He howeled at the moon, like in the story. He would do it every night before he passed into sleep. After he walked back in and climbed into the rafters. He would watch over his slumbering friends, or would he call them companions, acquaintances? Either way he would watch over them as they slumbered.

The sun rises like it always did the next day. Markus was awake, hell he would never fall asleep. A few woke up early a few waited, but the group of people he focused on was Demi Hayden and William

Ozpin's speech was long and boring. Scarlet didn't really listen, but instead looked at the fellow students, seeing what weapons they had. After Scarlet had gone to the gym, and rolled out a sleeping bag, she decided she had one more thing to do before going to sleep. Even thoughs he was tired after the long day, she walked over to the guy who Ozpin had called Enforcer.

-Is it true you're Enforcer? she asked and helt out a hand. My name's Scarlet Raleigh either way.

@Shade Wraith

William slumped into a bed under Hayden's orders "Night guys." he said, all the emotional pressure slowly relieved itself as he finally felt free, and could fnally fall asleep. "Fuck its a good bed." he said with a chuckle.

"Scarlet... Yes it is true. And I wish he would have kept that secret. What if there were spies from the White Fang here?" He grumbled as he looked at the ceiling. Thinking to himself about what was to come the next day. He closed his eyes, "Good luck tomorrow."

(Sorry; I had to do some college application work.)

The hybrid followed Hayden in silence, entering the gym after him. She settled on an area near the male and his accomplices but kept her distance. There were too many people in this room, and it made her significantly uncomfortable. It wasn't long before students began lying down and letting slumber take them, the silence closing in. The shadows closed in as the darkness grew, and Shadow dared to relax her ears. Instead of having them flattened against her head to hide the indentions they create under her hood, they were now slightly up.

The wolf-human remained in her sitting position on her cot, enjoying the silence and mild solitude the nighttime offered. She had half a mind to sneak out and revel in the moonlight outside, but she knew better than to do that this early in the night and at such a populated place. So instead, she grabbed a book from her bag and began reading it in the darkness, grateful for her enhanced eyesight her wolf blood offered. The anthropoid would most likely not sleep tonight, especially with the anxiety of being in a new place gnawing at her mind. It wouldn't be the first time, though.

-I understand. Good night, Scarlet said and went back to her sleeping bag. She couldn't belive that Enforcer was in their school. She had always taught that he had already graduated. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.

The following morning...

Hayden found himself rushing out to the cliff, a piece of toast hanging from his mouth. Skidding to a halt he saw Ozpin sipping on what appeared to be coffee. "You are early as usual," Ozpin stated waving his coffee mug to the forest, "I will wait until everyone is here before we begin. There is a few new... features to the test this year." He said as a rather familiar blonde woman approached, her eyes watching the first arrival closely.

"Alright, I look forward to a good run." Hayden said taking a bite of his toast. He sniffed the air feeling a gentle breeze caress his body, a smell of moisture clinging to the wind. It was going to rain it seemed, but there was a first time for everything at least. He checked his dagger quickly, inspecting it to make sure it was clean and was free of damage. He then also looked into a bag that hung on his hip. "I remember using these in Signal..." He said pulling out 8 rings which all sparked when they touched. He shoved them back in his pocket, "I better only use those in an emergency." He said more to himself. He looked back to see if his friends were ready yet.

William woke slowly the next morning and sighed, realising this was the day he was to be tested. He was anxious to get the whole process through with, and didn't want any distractions from the task, which in his case would primarily be survival. He waltzed into the mess hall and ate on bit of toast, watching the near empty hall fill with people.
