RWBY: The Years Before: Shadow of Grim

Azure & Carter

"Well guys, the only thing I have to say is go have fun! That's what tonight's about guys!" his enthusiastic tone made Carter scoff with indifference. The leaned against the counter beside his leader, his arms crossed over his chest, glaring at the dance floor and all the people in it. He never really was a fan of crowds, made him nervous, and sometimes triggered his social anxiety. Luckily no one really occupied the counter, so he wasnt feeling as boxed in as usual when hes in populated spaces. But he still didnt like it. "Hm." he grunted. What was the big deal about this place, aside from drinking and the possibility of getting lucky with a desperate, easy girl. Speaking of girls, there seemed to be two off in a corner whispering and giggling at either him or Kuro, or maybe even both,"Ugh," he turned his to lean on his back, looking away with a barely noticeable blush.

Azure also wasnt the social type. When they walked in, she threw her hands over her ears from the all the noise hitting her so strongly. After sometime, she got used it, and lowered her hands back to her sides. She stopped in her tracks, taking a look at the inside of the club in awe, and when she noticed Kuro and Carter continued with out her, she made a dash to catch up. When she turned to suddenly to follow, she crashed into someone that crossed paths with her. Just her luck. She looked up at the stranger and he glanced down at her with an intimidating look. The tiny faunus took a few steps back then ran to Kuro and Carter at the counter, using them as cover to hide. Azure knew she could handle herself, but in the case someone man-handled her, shed have a tough time. She was small and had little strength so getting away from something like a chokehold would be a challenge. But she shook the thought. "To have fun?" she blinked at Kuro then took another look around. Nothing there matched her description of fun,"How?" she asked genuinely. Shes never affiliated herself with these things and quite know how to "blend in". Then she looked at Carter, glaring at a pair of girls in a corner. She followed his gaze back to himself and the girl giggled to herself when she saw Carter get flustered again. He was a jerk sometimes, but even jerks had a weakness, and it wasnt that hard for Azure to notice.

Curve nodded, he understood. If he was in Ivory's place, he'd cut staight to the business too. Hell, that's what he was trying to do now. "Well i'm trying to move this along as fast as I can. Do you think there's a reason this place hadn't popped up on the map until I was here?" Curve knocked on the bar, and Junior, who was serving a middle-aged man (assumably drunk) came over. "This is Junior. Junior is a bartender. My bartender. The man at the door's name was Fudge. He's a trained, mad dog. My trained, mad dog." Curve jerked his head towards the dance floor, where Roman was having a good time, swinging his cane about and doing a little dance. Curve almost smiled, the little brother of the group hadn't noticed he was here yet. Neither did Jackal, who was sitting at a table nearby. "That kid over there with the cane and the hat? Charlie chapman like? His name's Roman. Boy's only thirteen, but if you need anything from anywhere, wether it be material or informational, he has it. If he doesn't, he'll get it. The guy in the black coat is Jackal. Usually he does stuff with the new ones, he helps me grow my orginization." Curve locked eyes with Ivory again. "There's only four of us here in Vale, but there's a whole hellofalot more in Vacuo. They are not coming. But with these four people, I can do things I could never manage to do without them, even with all my connections."

He motioned to Junior, and junior poured him some scotch. Raising the glass to his lips, he took a decent amount of the liquor in.This used to be a schnee company warehouse until five days ago. Now it's The Establishment." Curve took another drink from his glass, swirling the amber liquid inside it by holding the cup by the top. He pulled back his shoulder so that he was facing Ivory. "My, establishment, to be precise. Are things starting to fall together? I'm well connected. I've got resources. And I plan to use them to reduce crime in Vale in as many ways as possible, just like Vacuo. I've done it once, I can do it again." Someone else called for Junior, and Curve dismissed him with a nod. Curve took another drink from his glass and set it down on the counter, empty. His tattoos seemed to glow brighter than usual in the dim light of the club. "The reason I brought you here wasn't petty. This isn't a date, Ivory. This is business."

@Metaphysics
Ivory Orin

"Well then let's get down to brass tacks." Ivory said as she pulled out a metal flask and drank from it. "Then perhaps I should introduce myself. My full name is Ivory Orin. I'm going to wait for you to piece this puzzle together." She paused. "Anyways, I've decided to accept your invitation to join...but..." She raised one finger up. "This is my only condition, I'd like to be able to request to handle things on my own, not that I don't trust you or anything there are just somethings I do better when alone. Are we clear?"

Curve shrugged at Ivory's revealing her name. "You forget I've only been in Vale a week. Any lore or urban legends I don't know about." He slung his glass across the bar to junior. "But if you've got a bad history, the dirtier the better. It'll show society that nothing I'm doing is inherently bad." Curve felt a tap on his shoulder and held up a finger to the person. "However, all members of my organization have free reign over any territorry we control. On the more dangerous missions, I won't be sending people with you. I'll be sending you with them. Only when necessary, of course." He felt the tap on his shoulder again, but ignored it. He was glad his orginization was growing. And more importantly, he was glad to have someone joining him who had a questionable moral compass. He had some plans for Ivory, and everyone else, hell, he had plans for Vale. He had plans to control th entire area, and he and his cartel would live like kings, just like in Vacuo. Of course, appearances had to be kept up, and the "degenerate turned hero to society" figure that Ivory would bring would really sell it to the people that he wasn't all that bad. He did what was necessary, and that was all that was required when you had a goal in mind.

Curve felt the incessant tapping on his shoulder again. "What?!" Curve growled, turning around and seeing Fudge, his tatoos glowing dimly. Fudge immediately recoiled, but kept his cool, jerking his thumb behind him. "Hey boss, uh, we got two guys in the back of tha' room over there. They say they want to talk to you, and ah, they know you." Curve's gaze followed Fudge's thumb and to where it pointed. His gaze settled on two boys, just a year or two younger than him. One with blue hair and some markings on his arms, and the other with white hair and pretty distinct eyes. Curve recognized the two boys, oh hell yes he did. Those were faces he would never forget. He couldn't. Curve closed his eyes, letting out his breath in a long, low sigh. "I guess I'll leave it to ya boss," Fudge said, backpeadaling to his post at the door of the club. When Curve got that look on his face, shit was going down.

Curve opened his eyes, staring straight ahead, backing up his stool to give him room to move out. "Excuse me Ivory. Welcome to the family. But at the moment, there is some business I must attend to." Curve's voice was barely audible in the constant background noise of the club, but one could hear it. It was the voice Curve used when he was entirely serious. More than usual. He motioned to Junior, who immediately poured him another drink, which was gone in an instant. Curve stood, lucid to the world around him, his hand gripping his glass tightly.

The day had come. His brothers had found him. After all he'd done to protect them, after the crime-free haven he'd made for them in Vacuo, they had come after him. To a place like Vale, where at the moment, quite a bit of conflict was going on, with gangs, violence, and strange ass grim. This was quite possibly the worst moment for them to find him. He didn't know how they'd fared after he left those six years ago. But he knew they were not involved in criminal activity. He'd spared them from that at least. And he'd like it to stay that way. But now, now all that had changed, and his brothers were no longer safe. All his work... It was thrown out the window with Fudge's sentance.

The glass in Curve's hands shattered, and Curve's eyes snapped open. His tattoos seemed to burn, his eyes had the look of a rabid, but contained animal, just waiting to get off its leash. Some shards fell to the floor, others cut into his hands. "What are these men doing in my bar." Curve said quetly to Junior. It was not a question: "What are these two doing in my bar." Curve's voice got louder. He flung the glass at Junior, who immediately ducked. What was left of the glass smashed against the wall behind him with the trademark smash and rattle tinkling that glass made. "WHAT, are those two, DOING, in my BAR?!?!?!" Curve growled at Junior. How dare Fudge let them in? How dare Junior serve them? And where the hell was Jackal and Roman? Stalking over to the table, the sound of Curve's boots cla-Bmp ing was heard over the bass by those near him. Anyone in his direct line of vision, anyone who crossed his dark gaze, fled, or was removed forcefully. Curve reached the table, and flipped it with little more than a first thought. Grabbing Zaffre by the collar and hoisting him up to his face, Curve studied his brother. As much as he regretted saying it, this was him. "Get. Out." Curve growled gutturally through gritted teeth. Then he tossed Zaffre onto the floor, his eyes burning holes in those of his brothers. Turning his gaze to Violes purple and black eyes, Curve pointed to the door behind the bar. If they didn't understand that now was not the place, and they needed to move to a place more private, then these really weren't his brothers.

Zaffre & Viole

'Shit!' The second Cervena started stalking towards them Zaffre knew there was going to be hell. Both he and Viole had seen that face enough to know that something had set him off and they knew it was them, why well didn't take a lot of guessing to figure that out. Zaffre had recoiled downed his drink and whipped the glass back towards the bar, the glass spun just so that when it landed bottom down it didn't shatter, instead it came to rest neatly in front of Junior the energy being dispersed in the spin. As Cervena or 'Curve' hoisted Zaffre off of his feet and examined his face Zaffre glared back with a burning defiance. It was clear as much as he might want them two they weren't going anywhere. Zaffre was tossed back by Curve but instead of landing on his butt his feet met the floor instead his reflexes kicking in he twisted and slammed his feet against the ground landing in a crouch he almost reached for his rifles...almost. Of course sinc it was Cervena he wasn't going to retaliate, or lash out. He needed to keep his cool fully aware that Viole would react much more violently than he would if given the provocation.

Meanwhile Viole stared right back at Curve his face showing nothing of his thoughts or feelings. He didn't exactly appreciate Cervena throwing Zaffre but it was his brother, he wasn't going to attack, instead he let out and exasperated sigh nodding his head in the direction of the backdoor,
"After you Big Brother." Viole's words were spoken with a firmness that served to remind them of who they were to each other. Viole's stayed still signaling that he would go but only if Cervena was in front of him. He wasn't going to let the door get shut and locked behind him, not when they had finally tracked Cervena down. Not that it would keep him from knocking the door down either. But he's draft her do this quietly, "Curve" had already caused a scene. A sidelong glance would affirm Viole's guess that Zaffre had already positioned himself outside. The azure clad young man had his arms crossed and his foot tapping impatiently against the ground.

@Alstromeria

Curve gritted his teeth. His lips were almost pulled back in an animal like snarl. His tatoos burned bright enough to cast a shadow from the bridge of his nose in the dim light of the club. The veins in his arms stood out, and those closest to his wrists and on the back of his hands were visible. Afterall, they weren't covered by the long sleeves of his suit. At least half the people were watching him. The other half were either not paying attention, dancing, or too drunk to focus. Curve cracked his knuckles in front of him. With a grunt, Curve placed a hand on top of the bar, hoisting his legs over and firmly on the floor of the other side. Junior practically lept out of his way. Firmly gripping the handle and opening the door, Curve stepped through, flicking on an overhead light so he could see. He waited until his brothers had followed him inside and slammed the door shut behind him.

They were now in the "Second Stage" area of the club, which was set up to be a strip club. The only reason it wasn't functional at the moment was because of lack of personel. A few poles were erected, seats and tables were set up at "strategic" locations. The lights were set up, but most of them weren't on. Instead of setting these off, Curve opened a panel in one of the walls, flipping a few switches. The house lights turned on, and everything was illuminated in normal colored light from the normal colored bulbs from the normal lamps hanging from the ceiling. Curve's tattoos were still glowing, but the shadow didn't show on his face because of the bright lighting.

Now that everything was illuminated, Curve could see his brothers more clearly, as well as them him. A crease was on his brow that wasn't there earlier, small, barely noticable wrinkles gathered around the right side of his mouth from his permanent scowl. There was a few bags under his left eye, again, barely noticable. Even a few gray hairs streaked his long, dark hair.

His squarish jaw was prominent, that was a feature neither of his brothers had, and Curve could see this. Zaffre's less prominent nose and rounder face was still the same. His hair was blue, like he always had it as a kid. That wasn't something Curve liked, but hey, he accepted his brother's style when they were younger. Looks like it wasn't just a phase afterall. Viole had the inability to grow colored hair, the pigments in his skin were malfunctional. And there was Viole, pale as ever, with white hair and purple clothing. His longer, thinner face and smaller nose matched Curve's memory exactly. And as much as Curve hated to admit it, those weren't lenses dialating his brothers eyes either.

Curve honestly didn't know what to say, for once in his life. So he did one of the only things he could in a situation like this, he shook his head. But the look on his face wasn't one of anger. Nor dissapointment or surprise. His eyes were hollow, and his body posture almost relaxed for a moment, his shoulders relaxed just a tad, his fists unclenched, if only slightly. His tattoos dimmed, and ceased to shine. The expression on Curve's face wasn't one of intense emotion he wore when he was angry, it wasn't one of sincere indifference he wore for the public. It was one of exhaustion.

Joy Citron

It was obvious the girl was enjoying the make attention, i mean, she was just soaking it all up. The group passed time talking about stories, making jokes, and exchanging flirty comments every now and then. Then, one of the four boys looked at the gauntlet on her right hand,"Whoa, check that out," he pointed out to his other buddies. "Hm? Oh this?" Joy raised her hand, wiggling her fingers, "This is my baby. I actually have two!" she raised the other hand, and pressed the button on her bracer, making the object unfold into the matching gauntlet,"See?~" she chimed. The small group of boys awed over the technology,"Mhmm, I made them myself," she puffed her chest, flaunting her goods even more. Impressed, one of the guys spoke up,"Wait a sec, are you a huntress? Do you go to that academy? Uh...whats it called.."

"Beacon," another cut in.

"YEA! Thats it, Beacon."

Joy smiled, "Yep~! One day Im gonna be a huntress!" Suddenly Curve's raised voice made the grouo turn their heads, looking at Curve and another group of lads a little ways down the bar counter. Following the yell, the angry boy threw a bottle at the bartender. Joy blinked in disbelief, putting a hand to her chest,"Oh dear," a giggle escaped her throat. Watching the chaos unravel excited her even more than the boys did. "Sheesh whats that guy's problem," one of them muttered. Joy's giggle turned into a cute, feminine laugh,"What do you mean? I think its great." The guys laughed, thinking she was being sarcastic when she was being quite to opposite. From the corner of her eye she watched Curve lift the boy by his collar,"Ooh, that strength," she grinned, flashing her snake-like fangs. When Curve and his crew disappeared into a secret door begind the bar, Joy went back to paying attention to guys with her.

Sonora sighed as she saw curve yelling at a couple of men she knew nothing about. "Damn. Who knew a man could have such a high Tempo?" She asked herself aloud as she sighed, grabbed her horn and went to where joy was. "Heya, how's it going? Showing off to these guys?" She asked the snake faunus as she rubbed the handle of her Hunting Horn. She felt secure knowing that her weapon is always with her, so she could bring peace and adrenaline through her music in the heat of battle. "Careful Joy, you don't want them to like you too much. That is when things get rough, and you do not want to go Fortissimo." She said in her usual music talk, her voice lyrically soothing, and the boys around joy started to stare at Sonora instead. @HoneyBear\-Kat (Sorry, not sorry)

(Okay take them over xD )

Joy Citron

After the scene with Curve and a couple of unknown boys, Sonora approached her and the boys she managed to round up. She was glad too, the boys started to talk about things among themselves that had nothing to do with Joy, her partner couldnt have come at a better time. "Heya, hows it going? Showing off to these guys?" Joy smiled at the sight of her comrade,"Mhmm~ For once they brought up the gauntlets," she snickered." Careful Joy, you don't want them to like you too much. That is when things get rough, and you do not want to go Fortissimo." What the hell was that supposed to mean? Joy's usual smile disappeared. Liking her too much? That was the point. The girl shrugged innocently,"Some people like rough," she eyed the first boy she approached and winked at him. When the guys turned their attention to Sonora, Joy moved one of her braids behind her and hopped off the counter, fixing her shirt and adjusting the goggles on her head, stepping a little closer to Sonora, talking in a low volume,"You can have em, they started getting a little...boring." she stretched her arms then turned to the group,"Bye boys, it was fun while it lasted," she saluted with two fingers to her forehead. After dismissing herself, Joy spun her heels and walked off, hips rocking like a boat, and laying a soft hand on Sonora's shoulder as she passed her. "Off to find new prey~" she though, disappearing into the crowd on the dance floor.

"Wow.... You must be a huntress too!" one of the boys exclaimed as he saw her Hunting Horn. "I am indeed. But touch my horn, and I will beat you and your friends like drums, got it?" She said in a teasing, yet aggressive tone as she got into one of the boys' face, and winked at him. "I am also a musician, so If ya'll want, I can play a song with this here horn, but only outside, since it is very Swingin' once I start Playin', so no complaining about that." She said with a smile as the boys nodded. She did enjoy masculine company every now and then, but this group was raging with testosterone, and she could even smell it with her nose of a wolf. "Joy.... You're gonna miss a hell of a show." She said, but did not expect her to hear Sonora as she went into the crowded dance floor.

KURO MAYONAKA

Sitting at the counter with his two teammate, Kuro couldn't help but notice the group of girls giggling and talking in the direction of himself and Carter. Deciding to just play it cool, he shifted his gaze so that he had his eye on them, yet his face was looking at the variety of drinks on the shelves behind the counter. He shot the group of girls a small smirk and a wink before turning over to Azure, who was asking how to have fun. Is that seriously a question? Like, for real? She was actually serious. Wow.

"How to have fun? Go dance, talk, drink, sing, do whatever! That's what the loud music's for, Azure: fun! I'm feeling a little sore, so I'm just gonna sit here for a bit, but don't let that stop you!" he lied excitedly to the tiny Faunus. He was basically encouraging her to do all the things she would normally freeze up doing, probably a bad thing, but it was a method to get her to open up a bit more. She was speaking words with other people, and a little more social activity might get her to open up just a bit more.

Grau Kohlrabenschwarz

Grau lounged about outside Beacon, stretched out across a bench. He let out a sigh, crossing his arms behind him, lying his head upon them. He gazed into the sky, humming gently to himself, wondering where all his friends, and everyone else, had gone. He had tried to find everyone around the campus, to no avail. He let out a sigh, idily wondering where Azure had gone, as she was the only person he had really talked to in the past few days, beyond a few passing words. Eventually, he got up, leaving campus. Perhaps the city had more in store for him?

Azure Snow

"How to have fun?" Kuro sounded surprised. She blinked twice and nodded, reassuring him that that was indeed her question. 'Have I asked something bad?'

"Go dance..."

'No.'

"Talk..."

'I only speak with you and Carter...'

"Drink...."

'Water?'

"Sing, do whatever! Thats what the loud musics for, Azure: fun! Im feeling a little sore, so in just gonna sit here for a bit, but dont let that stop you!" He finished his list of examples to the poor girl who didnt quite understand social gatherings. Having Kuro basically spell it out for her must've been a nuissance but she just didnt understand. Azure stood there for a moment, taking it all in. She stared at him with emotionless eyes, blinking a few times. Her ears were relaxed and her tail was still. Did it really take that long to compute it all. She continued to stare him, wondering which of those options she could take part in, or, which one she would dislike the least. Finally she spoke,"Okay.." and that was it, despite her mental protests. The faunus turned around and walked off, ears bouncing with each step.

What to do, what to do. Azure tried from the top of the list...

1. Dance

She managed to push her way through the dancing crowd, but many of the dancers were taller than her and she just ended up being pushed around, unnoticed...

1.Dance

2.Talk

There was a small group of people standing off to the side, laughing about who knows what. The tiny fox approched them,"Um," she started. The group stopped and looked at her curiously. When all eyes were on her, she froze,'No..' and walked away...

1. Dance

2. Talk

3. Drink

When the bartender came back with a surprise drink in a shot glass, the first thing she did was sniff it,"Ugh!" She shook her head with flattened ears and her nose scrunched up from the potent smell. The bartender on the other side of the counter watched her with an amused smirk. Her small hands wrapped around the tiny cup and she raised it above eye level to look the through the clear glass,'The liquid is clear...' she thought,"Is this water?" Azure asked herself aloud. The tender heard her and answered,"Water of the Gods," he corrected. She lowered the glass to look at him then looked down to the drink in hand,'It is a special water then?' her heterochromic eyes blinked. "Shoot it," the tender grew impatient, it was obvious shes never had a drink in her life and he was eager to see her reaction,"Real quick like medicine," then he montioned the action for her, pretending to have a shot of his own in his hand. Azure nodded and did as she was told. Parting her lips slightly she tilted her head back and let the liquid wash down her throat. Immediately upon ingesting it, she set the glass down and her body tensed with eyes shut. The taste was so awful it made her shiver with disgust, the fur on her tail puffing and her ears pinned down. It was extremely bitter, with a spicy kick at the back of the throat, and cold to the touch, but left a strange warm sensation in her chest. "That was..." searched for a befitting word, "absolutely dreadful! Revolting!" She shook a her head a few times, trying to ignore the feeling of wanting to throw it back up, and pushed the small glass back across the counter. The bartender couldnt help but laugh at her response to the drink,"Its strong stuff kid, thats why the glass is so small," he said, holding it up with his thumb and index finger. Azure swiveled in the stool and hopped off...they were kind of high, its a wonder how she climbed on in the first place....

1. Dance

2. Talk

3. Drink

4. Sing: ...yea thats...not going to happen...

Sward Green

Sward watched as Curve dragged two figures with him. "That's not good." Oh well. Curve always had his reasons. Luckily the mood of the club bounced up again and returned to normal with people talking and drinking like if nothing happened a few moments ago. Sward was still impressed how is friend was able to build all this in such a short amount of time. As he was walking a female faunas grabbed his arm and whispered to him. "Sorry but I need to ask you a huge favor. Please act like your my boyfriend for little?" Sward's heart skipped a beat and gave a confused look at the girl. Who was she? She was cute and all but saying that out of the blue. He had no experience like this before. No girl would ever ask him out much less him asking other girls out himself. He was still awestruck until she shifted her eyes to the side where a group of thuggish looking individuals were eyeing him specifically behind her. "Its a long story but please? It is the only way to make them leave me alone." Sward was still confused and before he could give a response the girl pulled him towards the dance floor. "Right this way silly. The Dance floor was is this way." Sward was still flustered at the moment and was being dragged by the collar.

Sylvia

Sylvia was still eating when the late night entertainment came up and ended with a man dragging two individuals with him. "That was interesting to say the least." She commented to herself. Just then a group of boys with torn up clothes and tattoos approached her and sat right next to her most likely there leader blocking her exit. "Well hiya good looking. what brings a gentile flower like yourself here?" Sylvia can smell the fact that these guys had been drinking and a lot at that. "I don't have time for you. Beat it and Let me be." "Ohhh..(posse of boys) "Who would have thought the gentile flower had some thorns. I'm more accustomed to human girls but I do have a weakness for (starts brushing his hand against her head and his other leading to the tip of the tail.) cute animals. Sylvia jumped in surprise and instinct took over. "Hip! *smack!*" Sylvia was very sensitive to her tail and reacted as any other normal woman would have done in a situation like this situation, however... "Arghh!! (Grabs her arm) You'll pay for that my sweet." Sylvia looked around and tried to find someone who was convincing enough to act as her guard, or better yet a boyfriend. Her eyes sat upon a green dressed individual wearing a helm (Sward) .Sylvia then bumped the table so her drink would land on the man distracting him which enabled for Sylvia to break free from his grip and rush toward the man in green and grabbed his arm to get his attention.

KURO MAYONAKA

The club was a nuce scene and all, but if something didn't happen to get him off of his chair and up and moving soon, Kuro was going to start a bar fight. Bar fights were fun, or at least they looked that way in movies. He saw Azure's attempts at trying to enjoy herself, including her experiment with alcohol. He stifled a laugh, but still smirked a little. Actually, speaking of entertainment, he was wondering what ever happened to that group of girls that were looking in his and Carter's direction while giggling. He winked at 'em earlier, so maybe they all went off to swoon somewhere from his handsomeness. Nah, he wasn't that lucky. He turned his attention back to the bar, signaling with his hand for a drink. A small, half-full glass was slid down his way containing a rust-colored liquid with a strong scent. He grabbed the glass, now unsure of if he was going to take a drink. Kuro was never a partier, but he did like to have fun.

"Bottoms up, I guess," Kuro admitted, tilting his head back and taking the quick shot of alcohol down like it was the disgusting medicine his parents gave him back when he was a kid. His spine felt tingley and a chill ran up the base of his spine from hus bottom to his neck. He shivered a bit and coughed as well. That was stronger than the average soda or juice. The bartender looked amused. He waited to see what Carter's reaction to that would be, as the youth most certainly would frown upon even one quick drink while underage.

Viole & Zaffre

Viole looked up at Curve his expression losing a bit of its mania he exhaled softly. " 'Curve' huh, short, intimidating, and just your style...I like Cervena better." Zaffre rolled his eyes and sighed, "What he's trying to say is it's good to see you, it's been way too long." "Yeah pretty much, you've you been big bro? Busy solving the worlds problems through petty crime and abandonment?" "Viole!" Zaffre snapped at his younger brother reigning him in though looking at him one would think Viole was going to hit Zaffre instead of listen to him. They both spent the next several moments looking their brother over, he had aged much more than any 16 year old should have. As much as they had been through he had been through more, the stress and the strain it has put on him was evident. They knew his tyoical outward strength and to see their brother so visibly exhausted was a bit painful as the two knew it was for their sakes. But it didn't matter they were together again and all that painful crap in the past didn't matter. The words they were struggling to find and still losing didn't matter. Letting out a huff off exasperation Viole's eyes looked back at Cervena's "I...WE...Really missed you Cer- Curve, ah fuck this shit man!" Throwing his hands up in frustration he simply walked forward head down until he bumped up against Curve's chest, the closest he'd let himself get to a hug. Viole always hugged Cervena, both of the brothers did but this was 'Curve' Viole wouldn't hug him until Cervena showed himself. He missed Cervena more than Zaffre even knew, the old Cervena, the one that was bright and smiling, the one that helped teach him to walk talk and ride a bike, the one that fought off bullies...the good old Cervena that was always there always helping. Zaffre followed suit joining the huddle head down against Curve's chest an arm going around Viole's shoulder he felt the smaller boys arm go around him as well. While enjoying the old gesture they were both anxiously waiting for Cervena's response, would he embrace them, push them away, both? They could only guess at this point, and so they waited, quietly standing there together for the first time in years and that was ALL that mattered.

"Bartender! Bring me the best wine you have! I'm here to have a good time, and I'm going to do it right!" Sonora exclaimed as the group of boys looked at her, raising an eyebrow. "What? If you wanna have a good time, kick it off with some nice wine." She said with a chuckle as she looked at Junior. @HoneyBear\-Kat

Junior nodded, pouring a glass of wine for Sonora. Some people might feel bad selling drinks to minors, but hey, nobody here was complaining. And to be honest, the police had bigger things to worry about. Coming over to Sonora's place at the bar, he placed the glass in front of her and continued bustling about. Tonight was a busy night

"Thank you, sir! I appreciate it!" She said as she took a sip, and enjoyed the taste as she swallowed the liquid. "Strong, and has a very savory taste to it. It also has a grape taste to it. I like it." She said as she set the glass down, and cracked her neck as she looked at the boys, who were getting ready to leave.

Curve was shocked. His two brothers, one whom he'd just thrown across the bar, had attempted to hug him. Curve's tattoos glowed hot against his face, but he really didn't know what else to do. Of course, he was fucking pissed that his brothers had sought him out. He'd made a haven for them, a place where they could be safe, one regulated by him, his advisors, patrolled and protected by his people. And in spite all that, in spite of him leaving them six years ago, they'd come back. They'd managed to find him. Despite his anger at their initial appearance, Curve was glad they'd found him. Not only did it mean that they forgave him, and that they cared, but it meant that they were strong enough to make their descisions on their own.

Wrapping his muscular arms around his brothers, Curve rubbed the back of their heads. "Hey. Watch your language V." Curve said softly, using the childhood name for his youngest brother. Letting go, Curve stepped back. "Just because you're a few inches taller than me doesn't mean you can just go off the hook." Curve examined Zaffre as well, and sure enough, both his brothers were beginning to gain some height on him. But he was still more muscular than either of them.

Curve stared at his feet for a bit, then sighed. "I... I apologise." He started, and begin slowly pacing as was his style. His boots cla-BMped on the tile floor.

'I apologise.' Those were words Curve rarely spoke, and not many people heard them twice. "I owe you two an explination. I know that just up and leaving isn't the best thing to do in Vacuo. Especially back then. I can't even start to thing about what our mother and father assumed..." Curve didn't know what had happened to them either. But to be honest, Zaffre was more of the mamas boy than either of the other brothers. Curve was really indifferent towards their parents. "But hey. That is irrelevant. I left home because... Remember when that man had escaped from prision? And he shot and killed the woman right on our street when we were coming home? That could have been you, Zaffre. That could have been you, Viole. I guess that's when I realized that the world wasn't safe. And it probably will never be. But humans are humans worst problems." Curve stopped pacing and leaned against the edge of a nearby table, running a hand through his hair. "What was it father always said? 'Conflict is humanity's greatest weakness, but conflict is where humanity thrives'? Well I've remembered that. And from Viole's opening statement, I gather you've done some digging and found out what I've become." Curve wiped his face, it probably wasn't easy figuring out where your brother had been and what he'd done, especially from other people and never finding a trace of him. "I meant to leave. I really did. This is going to sound cliché, but I did it to try to protect you. And I origionally had the idea to rid the world of bad people. But after a while in, I realized that was impossible." Curve reiterated his experiences with different fights with criminal orginizations, and why they were futile. "So I reasoned that bad people would be bad people no matter what. But if I gave those bad people something to do, they wouldn't mind. That's when I began to build my cartel, and as bad as the media makes it sound, I've convinced criminals to protect people instead of hurting them. Since they still get paid from the business we do offshore, they don't mind. And as shady as it is, you can't deny the good i've tried to do." Sure, that sounded like a sucky explination of why he'd left and never even contacted his brothers. But oh, they had grown up so much. Hopefully they could see that what Curve had done, what he'd made himself into, that it was to make the world a better place. It was all he could hope that they hadn't had some of the same experiences he had. "The ends justify any means," Curve finished his shpeel, waiting to see how his brothers would react.

Sasha

Sasha was sitting at the bar with a ton of empty bottles around her. The funny thing was that she was still sober even after having all these drinks. Just as she was about to leave a group of boys began to surround her. Weird seems like every girl in the bar was getting this scenario. Then something surprising caught her eye. She saw Sylvia pulling a young man to the dance floor. She never took Sylvia as the girl to go for a knight in shining armor. Sasha gave nice almost mother like smile as she rested her head on her hand which was on the bar table. "Thats my girl."

"Whatever. I will have some fun by myself." Sonora said as she pounded the glass down, and set the empty glass down. "Bartender, can I get another please? You sure know how to get the right wine, and the tasty kind too." She said with a chuckle as she set her horn next to her, and pats the top as the face lit up in red, with an open-mouthed smiley face, and then goes blue with a close-mouthed smiley face. @HoneyBear-Kat @apoliseno @Everyone else

"Well allrighty," Junior said, raising his eyebrows a bit and filling up her glass, "but keep acting like that and I might have to cut you off. I have to make sure you get home in one piece." Junior laughed goodnaturedly.

"Oh come now, You wouldn't deny a lady her fun, would you?" She asked in a flirty tone as she took another sip. "I might go shred the dance floor after this drink. I will show them my rhythmic moves. Like flowers in the wind." She thought as she finished the drink, and got up, put her horn on her back, and went down to the dance floor, feeling the hold of tipsiness grab her like a vice grip. Once the music was playing, she moved with the beat, and many people stared at her as she had a good time. (Better?)
