Weapon and semblance: Two twin square bucklers with dust powered shockers on the ends that combine to make one large turret shield and each shield has dust explosive in it. Semblance: Can greatly Increase his physical strength and agility for short amouts of time but using this alot wears him out greatly but short uses of it are generally fine.

The wires connected to the knuckles are rolled up on simply designed bracers, which can also be used for defense.

Using a small portion of her aura, Beryll is able to cover herself in a field of concentrated aura for a short time span, rendering herself nearly invincible. The duration and strength depends on the status of her spirit and the remaining aura. Her whole body glows rapidly with her aura color for the duration.

Personality: Lazy but brilliant. Strelitzia is a genius in both studies and combat, but lacks the motivation to properly do almost anything. When she finally does get the motivation, though, nothing will stop her, and she’ll push herself hard- usually through her tears. She’s rather emotional and cries easily, and will get angry or upset when things don’t go her way.

She has a deep fear of being forgotten- dying, and thinks the same of others as well, which prompts her to try her best to save everyone- even strangers and enemies.

Weapon : Bird of Paradise
A saber with a series of shorter blades spiking out of the external guard. A pistol is attached to the blade and guard, with the muzzle underneath the spiked guard. The guard can be used offensively as well.

Can teleport anywhere she has ‘marked’ with a glowing sigil. She usually marks locations by firing a bullet from Bird of Paradise, or tapping an area with it. Can mark up to 3 locations at once. Instantaneous teleportation, but has a range limit of 30 meters, and a cooldown of 3 seconds per use. Must be marked on a solid area.

Duke Blu(Blue in Italian)

Race: Human
History: Duke made a promise once, a promise to man he called his father.
That promise? Live a clean life.
It was the last promise Duke made to his father….a promise made after his father threw himself and a the Blu rival family, the Rosso Family, mob boss off of a skyscraper.
Why did his father throw himself and this man off of a tall building, they were gangster, mobsters, what have you. The Blu family had been criminals for generations, specializing in arms dealing. It made them lien, but it came at a cost; for Duke’s father, it was his wife.
Duke’s mother had died barely because of a Rosso drive-by, a few days after Duke was born, just as Duke’s mother and father were leaving the hospital. Needless to say, Duke’s mother died with her son still held firm in her hands.
After that, well...Duke’s made a decision….a decision to end this, not just the Rosso family, but also the Blu family. This was a plan 16 years in the making, but Duke didn’t know any of it until his dad made the final blow.
No, rather, Duke had always wanted to be part of the Blu crime family. Even at a very young age, Duke wanted to be like his father, maybe even work alongside his father. Afterall, his father was the only thing Duke had, alongside the rest of the Blu crime family, who were all mobsters.
Duke should of known something was off when his dad sent him to combat school, but then again, he was only a kid at the time; a kid who thought he was only there to get stronger so he could join his family mob.
But that was never the case. Sure, to get stronger to be able to defend himself, but the main reason Duke’s father sent him there was for protection. The Rosso family didn’t dare try to make on Duke at the combat school, especially one staffed by huntsmen.
Duke was a delinquent all through combat school, but he was the type of the delinquent who’d show up to class and got good grades, occasionally setting the odd trash can on fire or graffiting the campus walls. He learned everything there was to know about being a hunter, even though he never really thought he be one.
But he never did anything serious, and that was exactly what Duke’s father wanted.
Duke never knew of the plan, the ultimate battle. He had heard of a big battle, but the Blu family kept everything under wraps for him. Fact was, the day before the big hit was suppose to happen his dad pulled Duke out of class to go fishing. It was the last time Duke ever saw his father alive.
It was only after the big hit did Duke found out what happened, from a mentor at the combat school nevertheless. All through his time there he had a specific teacher who would look out for him and keep him out of trouble. Turned out his dad had literally begged her to keep his son safe, safe until after the hit had happened. But it was not her who told him, rather she was only a messenger, delivering a scroll recording from his father.
The recording was simple, it was his dad’s last words to his son. Within those last words, he made Duke promise, promise to finally live clean, promise not to tread the path of the mobster like many of the Blu’s before.
What choice did Duke have? It was the only way to properly honor his father’s sacrifice.
Didn’t mean he had any idea what he was going to do, all his life Duke wanted to be mobster, now with the crime family gone he was at a lost...until his mentor stepped in once more.
She suggested that he apply for a huntsman academy and take their test, as the end of combat school approached. In all honesty, it hadn’t occurred to Duke whatsoever to apply. Only a few people in Duke’s past had even graduated from combat school, not one of them had ever gone to huntsmen academy. But at this point, Duke had nothing to lose, so he applied, not expecting much from himself.
Either by miracle or by luck, Duke passed, marking himself to be the first Blu to ever enter huntsmen academy.
Upon receiving his acceptance letter, Duke could only think… this was a dream only his father could have...and Duke was living it.
Still, life has a way of turning things on its head...
But never forget their names.
Personality:
Duke’s can be quite the wise guy, generally poking fun of everything and everyone, but usually a laid back kind of person. Never one to stay upset or get worked up about most things despite his family’s history. Even under such scrutiny or other pressures Duke can keep his cool. The young man is actually really polite in his attitude, especially towards most strangers. Even so, Duke can be real intimidating real fast if the situation demands it, he knows a trick or to from his mob family if he ever needs to get anyone to talk. Still, if one gets to know Duke better, they can find he only intimidate for a good reason, despite his mobster appearance. Loyalty and trust is another thing Duke values, one of the key principles Duke was raised upon. Duke’s hardly ever broken his word or his trust, and does not take lightly to people who do. Even so, that doesn’t mean Duke can’t forgive...Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.
In battle, Duke gets a bit worked up and trigger-happy with his rifle, always shouting at the top of his lungs, taunting the enemy and shouting words of encouragement to his allies. The method Duke generally uses is either spray-and-pray or focus down the enemy.
After the fall, Duke hadn’t changed all that much. It was a big hit, but this the first time he nearly lost everything. He wa still standing, and he’ll hold his ground until his last breath.
Clothes: Always dressed semi-formal, looking much like Junior or Flint. Wears a white dress shirt, tucked into his pants, without a tie and with the first button unbuttoned, black vest with a duke blue napkin in the pocket(occasionally he’ll have a pair of aviators hooked in it), black dress pants with chains(attached to a pocket watch), pair of black gloves, and a pair black dress shoes. Duke’s vest may look ordinary but is actually made up of light kevlar and is surprisingly roomy, allowing for Duke to store ammunition and his handguns. Duke occasionally wears a duke blue tie but generally goes without it, and although Duke possesses a blazer only wears it on occasion. Duke’s school outfit is the full set with his fedora and minus the tie. After the fall, he now has a green bandana tied to his arm, in honor of his partner, as well as wearing an ammo belt and utility belt w/ grenades on them across both his shoulders. Duke keeps his rifle slung over his shoulder, and Underboss in a holster on his right hip while Capo is holstered in his best.
Weapon: The Don- Essentially an M16-like assault rifle with rifle strap and a jerry rigged underbarrel grenade launcher tied on with rope. The assault rifle has three modes of firing: Single shot, burst, and full auto. Most of the clips for the weapon are jungle mags, usually are two clips ducked-taped together for a fast reload. The properties of the rifle’s payload could be altered depending on what ammunition is used.
Underboss an’ Capo- Rule #1 of unarmed combat, never be unarmed. A backup in case the main weapon runs dry or is disarmed. Two semi-automatic handguns that could transform into brass knuckles. Underboss is a higher caliber pistol than the Capo that transforms into a slightly bigger brass knuckle, but has a slightly lower ammo capacity and larger kickback. Capo is a smaller caliber but faster shooter pistol with slightly more shots than the Underboss that transforms into a regular brass knuckles.
The Accociates- A series of throwable such as dust grenades, flash bangs, smoke, molotovs, etc.
Skills/Talents:
Gunmen- Well versed in the art of the firearms, effective at all ranges but most effective at mid-range, Duke can keep a gun steady long enough to put a bullet or twenty into the enemy.
Munitions Expert- His family were once a arms dealing gang, Duke has picked up quite a few tricks along the way. He has a good understanding of most weapons in the market, as well as capable of using some more...special, ammunition and throwables.
Brawler- Good with his fighting with his fists, can even take a hit or two.
Large Aura Pool- Duke's aura pool is large enough as is, with training, he's able to slow down the consumption rate of it.
Side-Steper- Good at getting out of the way of harm’s way, though relys quite heavily on that to survive.
Likes: Loyalty, fishing, guns, explosives, weapons, fighting, sleep, music(jazz), being part of a team.
Dislikes: Traitors, lyers, swords, people screaming about his family, people dissing his father.
Smooth Talker- A method of shouting as a means to influence another’s emotion. Depending on what Duke shouts, he can either intimidate, enrage, or encourage a person, creating positive or negative emotions. As a side effect, the shouting can give Duke a rush of adrenaline that may be depleted if his aura is depleted. He can also use his semblance to taunt grim, resulting in the grimm taking more of an interest in him.

Weapon(s):
Jade Fire- A guan dao that stands roughly 6’6”. The weapon’s blade is about 2’5 while the shaft is roughly 4’ with a spearhead measuring 5” on the end of the shaft. The weapon transforms in a folding motion into a double-barrel lever-action shotgun.

Semblance: I'll Stand With You!- Cong Yu in a way can use his semblance to link himself up with someone. By doing so, he can share his aura with those he links up with, effectively pooling together their combined aura. Doing so may grant the linked person more aura to use or even keep one in the fight for longer, and if need be Cong Yu can transfer aura to the person he is link, allowing for example faster heal time. However, although they have an overall increased aura pool that means that any drain on the aura pool, be it physically or through the others semblance will affect the other. In other words, if one is hurt, the other will feel it. If one were to fall unconscious this will severe the link in a manner that will be violent towards Cong Yu. Death may also be a problem, but that has yet to be tested.
Strengths:
Polearm Specialist: Skilled with a his guan dao and polarms in general, the young man’s speed at wielding said weapons are rarely matched. Using polearms also mean that his reached is longer than most in melee.
CQC Expert: Even without his polearm, Cong is a mountain of a man to be reckoned with. His strength only adds to the ferocity of his attacks, often he will planet his weapon into the ground or throw it into the enemy before engaging said enemy with martial arts.
Strength and Resilience: Years of conditioning has produce a big man with monstrous strength with a learned ability of how to take a hit. Stronger than most, Cong also takes a reduced amount of aura drain per hit than normal students. His armor only adds to his resilience.
Speed Load and Fire- The lever action nature of the Jade Fire’s ranged ability means that the weapon can be rapidly fired and even loaded.
Book-Smarts- Strongly values education, and is pretty good at maintain good grades.
Weaknesses:
Slow Build-Up: Has a hard time matching speeds with other huntsmen, though it is less so regarding the usage of his weapon and more with his movement.
Mid-Short: Jade Fire is only effective from mid-short, leaving him without much attacks at long range.
Big Target- Cong is not a small figure, and generally will be the first thing to be targeted in a fight.
Honor of the Righteous- No matter what happens, Cong will never kill children or the elderly. He will defend himself and others, but he will not kill, not unless it’s necessary. Hurting on the other hand, that’s less of a problem.
Personality: On the outset the man is quite intimidating, though he isn’t exactly what you may call a gentle giant either; though he can be. Rather, he’s much more of intellect, a man of observation, a man of study. Cong values the importance of education, and always strives to learn more about the world around him. It’s not uncommon to see him about with or a book, or closing his eyes in meditation. But when the sound of battle calls, no one’s more ready than Cong. Discipline is what comes to mind, never one to break rank, unless an injustice is done. For Cong does not rush into combat, rather he builds the momentum to enter it, and when he does he comes down upon his enemies like an avalanche. Some may say it’s scary to watch Cong fight, he exhibits almost no emotions in a fight, keeping the same stoic face no matter what happens. The only time such a look will shift is when he is addressing his allies, for they are the only ones Cong needs to show emotion towards.
History: Cong was originally from a remote region of Mistral, son of a blacksmith who made a decent living off of producing weapons for huntsmen and ordinary people alike. The boy was talented, showing great potential not just in combat, but also talented of the mind. So, he was sent to the resident veteran, who trained him, mentoring Cong with many stories of past battles. But this was not forever, for his mentor died, natural causes, a rare sight in the world of Remnant. But the man’s legacy would live on, live on in Cong
Such legacy started at age 12, when Cong witness corruption and put a end to it, but that meant he had to skip town, as the only way to stop said corruption was to kill the leader of their village. He became a street urchin, wandering the streets of a particular town for a while, right before he was recruited into a local militia. See, within that area of Mistral huntsmen were spread out thing, already preoccupied with keeping the grimm at bay, giving groups such as the White Fang plenty of room to operate. The son of the town’s leader had decided to gather a small group of armed individuals to put down the White Fang’s operations, Cong Yu was one of them. Under a cherry blossom tree, would this group form a pact, a brotherhood, a brotherhood that would make a name for itself: The Pact of the Cherry Blossoms.
This pact would see them many feats, as they did battle against the White Fang. Many in their ranks fell, but they fell just as many of the White Fang. Cong himself became one of the more famed of the brothers. It is said that he had a habit of breaking the masks of each White Fang member he encountered, a way of showing his might, perhaps, but it is said it was a way to revel the eyes, a way to show that they were not fighting monsters, but people. Another, more famous story that circulated that Cong Yu defeated 8 White Fang lieutenant in order to get to deliver an urgent request for reinforcements.
Perhaps such stories were truth, perhaps they were just stories. Whatever the reason it was enough to land Cong Yu a recommendation to Beacon Academy all the way in Vale. At first Cong Yu almost refused, but it was his brother-at-arms that ultimately convinced him to go.

History: Duke made a promise once, a promise to man he called his father.
That promise? Live a clean life.
It was the last promise Duke made to his father….a promise made after his father threw himself and a the Blu rival family, the Rosso Family, mob boss off of a skyscraper.
Why did his father throw himself and this man off of a tall building, they were gangster, mobsters, what have you. The Blu family had been criminals for generations, specializing in arms dealing. It made them lien, but it came at a cost; for Duke’s father, it was his wife.
Duke’s mother had died barely because of a Rosso drive-by, a few days after Duke was born, just as Duke’s mother and father were leaving the hospital. Needless to say, Duke’s mother died with her son still held firm in her hands.
After that, well...Duke’s made a decision….a decision to end this, not just the Rosso family, but also the Blu family. This was a plan 16 years in the making, but Duke didn’t know any of it until his dad made the final blow.
No, rather, Duke had always wanted to be part of the Blu crime family. Even at a very young age, Duke wanted to be like his father, maybe even work alongside his father. Afterall, his father was the only thing Duke had, alongside the rest of the Blu crime family, who were all mobsters.
Duke should of known something was off when his dad sent him to combat school, but then again, he was only a kid at the time; a kid who thought he was only there to get stronger so he could join his family mob.
But that was never the case. Sure, to get stronger to be able to defend himself, but the main reason Duke’s father sent him there was for protection. The Rosso family didn’t dare try to make on Duke at the combat school, especially one staffed by huntsmen.
Duke was a delinquent all through combat school, but he was the type of the delinquent who’d show up to class and got good grades, occasionally setting the odd trash can on fire or graffiting the campus walls. He learned everything there was to know about being a hunter, even though he never really thought he be one.
But he never did anything serious, and that was exactly what Duke’s father wanted.
Duke never knew of the plan, the ultimate battle. He had heard of a big battle, but the Blu family kept everything under wraps for him. Fact was, the day before the big hit was suppose to happen his dad pulled Duke out of class to go fishing. It was the last time Duke ever saw his father alive.
It was only after the big hit did Duke found out what happened, from a mentor at the combat school nevertheless. All through his time there he had a specific teacher who would look out for him and keep him out of trouble. Turned out his dad had literally begged her to keep his son safe, safe until after the hit had happened. But it was not her who told him, rather she was only a messenger, delivering a scroll recording from his father.
The recording was simple, it was his dad’s last words to his son. Within those last words, he made Duke promise, promise to finally live clean, promise not to tread the path of the mobster like many of the Blu’s before.
What choice did Duke have? It was the only way to properly honor his father’s sacrifice.
Didn’t mean he had any idea what he was going to do, all his life Duke wanted to be mobster, now with the crime family gone he was at a lost...until his mentor stepped in once more.
She suggested that he apply for a huntsman academy and take their test, as the end of combat school approached. In all honesty, it hadn’t occurred to Duke whatsoever to apply. Only a few people in Duke’s past had even graduated from combat school, not one of them had ever gone to huntsmen academy. But at this point, Duke had nothing to lose, so he applied, not expecting much from himself.
Either by miracle or by luck, Duke passed, marking himself to be the first Blu to ever enter huntsmen academy.
Upon receiving his acceptance letter, Duke could only think… this was a dream only his father could have...and Duke was living it.
Still, life has a way of turning things on its head.
Beacon was attacked.
Two of Duke’s teammates managed to survive, thank Oum, though one of them was severally crippled.
His partner?
Their leader?
No one knows...they never found the body.
His teammates went home; one of them went with the other, so that they could look after each other.
Duke? Duke wasn't going home, not yet.

Personality:
Duke’s can be quite the wise guy, generally poking fun of everything and everyone, but usually a laid back kind of person. Never one to stay upset or get worked up about most things despite his family’s history. Even under such scrutiny or other pressures Duke can keep his cool. The young man is actually really polite in his attitude, especially towards most strangers. Even so, Duke can be real intimidating real fast if the situation demands it, he knows a trick or to from his mob family if he ever needs to get anyone to talk. Still, if one gets to know Duke better, they can find he only intimidate for a good reason, despite his mobster appearance. Loyalty and trust is another thing Duke values, one of the key principles Duke was raised upon. Duke’s hardly ever broken his word or his trust, and does not take lightly to people who do. Even so, that doesn’t mean Duke can’t forgive...Forgive your enemies, but never forget their names.
In battle, Duke gets a bit worked up and trigger-happy with his rifle, always shouting at the top of his lungs, taunting the enemy and shouting words of encouragement to his allies. The method Duke generally uses is either spray-and-pray or focus down the enemy.
After the fall, Duke hadn’t changed all that much. It was a big hit, but this the first time he nearly lost everything. He wa still standing, and he’ll hold his ground until his last breath.
Clothes: Always dressed semi-formal, looking much like Junior or Flint. Wears a white dress shirt, tucked into his pants, without a tie and with the first button unbuttoned, black vest with a duke blue napkin in the pocket(occasionally he’ll have a pair of aviators hooked in it), black dress pants with chains(attached to a pocket watch), pair of black gloves, and a pair black dress shoes. Duke’s vest may look ordinary but is actually made up of light kevlar and is surprisingly roomy, allowing for Duke to store ammunition and his handguns. Duke occasionally wears a duke blue tie but generally goes without it, and although Duke possesses a blazer only wears it on occasion. Duke’s school outfit is the full set with his fedora and minus the tie. After the fall, he now has a green bandana tied to his arm, in honor of his partner, as well as wearing an ammo belt and utility belt w/ grenades on them across both his shoulders. Duke keeps his rifle slung over his shoulder, and Underboss in a holster on his right hip while Capo is holstered in his best.
Weapon: The Don- Essentially an M16-like assault rifle with rifle strap and a jerry rigged underbarrel grenade launcher tied on with rope. The assault rifle has three modes of firing: Single shot, burst, and full auto. Most of the clips for the gun usually are two clips ducked-taped together(each facing a different direction) for a fast reload. The properties of the rifle’s payload could be altered depending on what ammunition is used.
Underboss an’ Capo- Rule #1 of unarmed combat, never be unarmed. A backup in case the main weapon runs dry or is disarmed. Two semi-automatic handguns that could transform into brass knuckles. Underboss is a higher caliber pistol than the Capo that transforms into a slightly bigger brass knuckle, but has a slightly lower ammo capacity and larger kickback. Capo is a smaller caliber but faster shooter pistol with slightly more shots than the Underboss that transforms into a regular brass knuckles.
The Accociates- A series of throwable such as dust grenades, flash bangs, smoke, molotovs, etc.
Skills/Talents:
Gunmen- Well versed in the art of the firearms, effective at all ranges but most effective at mid-range, Duke can keep a gun steady long enough to put a bullet or twenty into the enemy.
Munitions Expert- His family were once a arms dealing gang, Duke has picked up quite a few tricks along the way. He has a good understanding of most weapons in the market, as well as capable of using some more...special, ammunition and throwables.
Brawler- Good with his fighting with his fists, can even take a hit or two.
Large Aura Pool- Duke's aura pool is large enough as is, with training, he's able to slow down the consumption rate of it.
Side-Steper- Good at getting out of the way of harm’s way, though relys quite heavily on that to survive.
Likes: Loyalty, fishing, guns, explosives, weapons, fighting, sleep, music(jazz), being part of a team.
Dislikes: Traitors, lyers, swords, people screaming about his family, people dissing his father.
Smooth Talker- A method of shouting as a means to influence another’s emotion. Depending on what Duke shouts, he can either intimidate, enrage, or encourage a person, creating positive or negative emotions. As a side effect, the shouting can give Duke a rush of adrenaline that may be depleted if his aura is depleted. He can also use his semblance to taunt grim, resulting in the grimm taking more of an interest in him.

Jade Fire- A guan dao that stands roughly 6’6”. The weapon’s blade is about 2’5 while the shaft is roughly 4’ with a spearhead measuring 5” on the end of the shaft. The weapon transforms in a folding motion into a double-barrel lever-action shotgun.

Semblance: I'll Stand With You!- Cong Yu in a way can use his semblance to link himself up with someone. By doing so, he can share his aura with those he links up with, effectively pooling together their combined aura. Doing so may grant the linked person more aura to use or even keep one in the fight for longer, and if need be Cong Yu can transfer aura to the person he is link, allowing for example faster heal time. However, although they have an overall increased aura pool that means that any drain on the aura pool, be it physically or through the others semblance will affect the other. In other words, if one is hurt, the other will feel it. If one were to fall unconscious this will severe the link in a manner that will be violent towards Cong Yu. Death may also be a problem, but that has yet to be tested.
Strengths:
Polearm Specialist: Skilled with a his guan dao and polarms in general, the young man’s speed at wielding said weapons are rarely matched. Using polearms also mean that his reached is longer than most in melee.
CQC Expert: Even without his polearm, Cong is a mountain of a man to be reckoned with. His strength only adds to the ferocity of his attacks, often he will planet his weapon into the ground or throw it into the enemy before engaging said enemy with martial arts.
Strength and Resilience: Years of conditioning has produce a big man with monstrous strength with a learned ability of how to take a hit. Stronger than most, Cong also takes a reduced amount of aura drain per hit than normal students. His armor only adds to his resilience.
Speed Load and Fire- The lever action nature of the Jade Fire’s ranged ability means that the weapon can be rapidly fired and even loaded.
Book-Smarts- Strongly values education, and is pretty good at maintain good grades.
Weaknesses:
Slow Build-Up: Has a hard time matching speeds with other huntsmen, though it is less so regarding the usage of his weapon and more with his movement.
Mid-Short: Jade Fire is only effective from mid-short, leaving him without much attacks at long range.
Big Target- Cong is not a small figure, and generally will be the first thing to be targeted in a fight.
Honor of the Righteous- No matter what happens, Cong will never kill children or the elderly. He will defend himself and others, but he will not kill, not unless it’s necessary. Hurting on the other hand, that’s less of a problem.
Personality: On the outset the man is quite intimidating, though he isn’t exactly what you may call a gentle giant either; though he can be. Rather, he’s much more of intellect, a man of observation, a man of study. Cong values the importance of education, and always strives to learn more about the world around him. It’s not uncommon to see him about with or a book, or closing his eyes in meditation. But when the sound of battle calls, no one’s more ready than Cong. Discipline is what comes to mind, never one to break rank, unless an injustice is done. For Cong does not rush into combat, rather he builds the momentum to enter it, and when he does he comes down upon his enemies like an avalanche. Some may say it’s scary to watch Cong fight, he exhibits almost no emotions in a fight, keeping the same stoic face no matter what happens. The only time such a look will shift is when he is addressing his allies, for they are the only ones Cong needs to show emotion towards.
History: Cong was originally from a remote region of Mistral, son of a blacksmith who made a decent living off of producing weapons for huntsmen and ordinary people alike. The boy was talented, showing great potential not just in combat, but also talented of the mind. So, he was sent to the resident veteran, who trained him, mentoring Cong with many stories of past battles. But this was not forever, for his mentor died, natural causes, a rare sight in the world of Remnant. But the man’s legacy would live on, live on in Cong
Such legacy started at age 12, when Cong witness corruption and put a end to it, but that meant he had to skip town, as the only way to stop said corruption was to kill the leader of their village. He became a street urchin, wandering the streets of a particular town for a while, right before he was recruited into a local militia. See, within that area of Mistral huntsmen were spread out thing, already preoccupied with keeping the grimm at bay, giving groups such as the White Fang plenty of room to operate. The son of the town’s leader had decided to gather a small group of armed individuals to put down the White Fang’s operations, Cong Yu was one of them. Under a cherry blossom tree, would this group form a pact, a brotherhood, a brotherhood that would make a name for itself: The Pact of the Cherry Blossoms.
This pact would see them many feats, as they did battle against the White Fang. Many in their ranks fell, but they fell just as many of the White Fang. Cong himself became one of the more famed of the brothers. It is said that he had a habit of breaking the masks of each White Fang member he encountered, a way of showing his might, perhaps, but it is said it was a way to revel the eyes, a way to show that they were not fighting monsters, but people. Another, more famous story that circulated that Cong Yu defeated 8 White Fang lieutenant in order to get to deliver an urgent request for reinforcements.
Perhaps such stories were truth, perhaps they were just stories. Whatever the reason it was enough to land Cong Yu a recommendation to Beacon Academy all the way in Vale. At first Cong Yu almost refused, but it was his brother-at-arms that ultimately convinced him to go.

I weigh about: One hundred and sixty pounds.
Look at my scars: There's not too many - I try not to get hit all that often. There are quite a few smaller ones along my fingertips, from my...unique way of fighting. Other than that, I'm miraculously scar free.
My most distinguishing features: Probably my eyes? They're a bright goldish green, and apparently unnatural. Pupils are somewhat slitted...one of my Faunus traits, I guess. I have a few patches of ebony scales, very warm to the touch, along my elbows and neck, and my canine teeth are noticeably sharper than normal.
Role: Student.
My team is called: To be filled out later, I'm pretty sure.
I really like: Maintaining and designing weaponry, exploring unknown territories, spicy foods, and freedom. High places are also pretty nice - especially when the sun's out and blazing. Man, I'm getting sleepy just thinking about it...
I really don't like: Sweets, ice cream, and cold weather. Annoying people are also a given, although a select few could say the same for me.
Some of the thing I like to do: It's probably listed in the above sections. I enjoy resting and observing from high perches, preferably with sunlight. Designing different weapon types is also a personal hobby of mine, along with playing the flute. They're both pretty relaxing.


My semblance is: Combat Perception. Even to me, it's...odd to describe. Basically, whenever my adrenaline begins pumping, my already freaky eyes dilate further, and I see things...differently. Weaknesses, small and unnoticeable mistakes and chinks in armor and stances, and my body becomes faster and more agile to adapt to this change in perception. Generally, emerald green streaks - a byproduct of my adrenal glands secreting so much Aura - begin to drift from the corner of my eyes whenever my Semblance activates.

I can also: Aim pretty damn well. Some people say it's my Semblance helping me, but they're dumbasses. I've trained extensively to use Exodus Zinnia, and I'm a crackshot with both it's sniper and katana forms. Swordfighting is the only thing that can rival my marksmanship.

I may be strong, but I have my weaknesses: Admittedly, I am not the most durable and hardy combatant. I can take a few hits, obviously, but my body isn't built for taking lasting damage and coming back stronger and better. Because of this, I try to use my skill and speed to strike at the opponent swiftly and dangerously, not giving them any quarter. Fighters who rely on defense and battles of constitution will find me to either be an incredibly frustrating opponent, or a rather easy matchup.

Now here is my most exciting backstory, maybe not, not too sure yet: It shall come soon, rest assured. Just know that I was born on the streets, and did a lot of morally dubious and potentially incriminating things, but I actually enjoyed it...for the most part. Becoming a Huntsman was a choice I made on my own volition, and although my past life is tempting, I plan to move ahead with confidence and dry, witty banter. It'll be fun, no?

The songs I like to listen to: Low jazz and hip-hop. You can't beat the classics.
Just some other misc. things about me: I sleep for long periods of time - and I love it, I once had to go to the ER because of a massive brain freeze, I subconsciously draw out my s's when I'm frustrated, and I enjoy scaring children by elongating my snake fangs. I see myself as a pretty laidback and friendly guy, cool-headed and such, but some dumbasses say I have a dark sense of humor, or that I'm a bit cynical, or cold, or 'a socially deficient weapon-hermit', or 'overly blunt', or 'quick to call others dumbasses', or...well, you get the picture. Personally, I don't see it. ...Seriously though, if you're a teammate or friend, there's an incredibly small list of things Iwouldn't do for you. Loyalty is important to me.


Now, as for my weapon...:
Exodus Zinnia is a dual-type of weapon, personally crafted by yours truly - truly my pride and joy. Thusly, it is still prone to upgrades and changes, whenever I have time for such things. Exodus Zinnia's appearance is that of two long, razor-sharp, sleek black katanas, with a dark steel and mechanical hilt, and with the razor-sharp edges of the blades being a deep emerald green - for aesthetic purposes. Deep steel, cylinder barrels are built into the bottom of the edge of the blades, connected to the hilts. The hilts are pressurized - meaning that a certain pressure on the hilt's grips will shoot high-caliber rounds from the barrel - with me using the recoil as an enhancement to my acrobatic combat style.


This usually means that, to aim, I simply have to point the blades at the opponent, and squeeze the hilts. However, when Exodus Zinnia is in it's blades form, I don't need to focus on my aim all that much. I try to stay in melee range, the sharp blade cleaving through enemy after enemy, with me mainly shooting as an after-thought. Highly efficient at mid-to-close range.
When I slam the blades together, hilt-first, a sensor takes over, instantly transforming Exodus Zinnia into it's sniper rifle form;; a large, long, and surprisingly light-weight, high-calibered sniper rifle, combined with an enhanced-zoom scope on the top. I usually use this for when I need complete accuracy, and when I need to keep my distance. I can insert Dust cartridges into the gun as well, for a variety of different effects. The gun is primarily black, like the blades form, with emerald accents. Highly efficient at long range, with some potential at close-range, depending on the user's skill level.

Personality: Generally awkward with a tendency to trip over their own feet, they are for the most part nice enough to others, unless Finley is directly insulted or their friends are in danger. Fin doesn't like to be made fun of for their choices and can get aggressive because of it. They try not to hurt anyone though, and is learning to keep their temper down.

Time Junction: Finley can either slow time or speed it up. If they slow time, then they can make the days longer without anyone really noticing in order to get tasks done. Personality: A total oddball among the huntsmen and huntresses. Arc has a rather unique personality that seems to be rare to find. On first impressions, he is always calm, shy and rather dull when first met. The poor fella lacks social interaction as he always spent his time training more than socializing, making him awkward at moments. He doesn't seem to express his feelings much through face nor words. His body language does the talking. He is very soft spoken and polite to others. Especially those who are close to him. He has a gentle nature that he shares to everyone. Arc is nice and sweet even when mad. He does more action than talking. In fact rarely talks yet his body language is very expressive. So if he feels bashful he'll show it. He does reply to some statements. Most of his responses are surprisingly very comical, add that with his face unchanging facial expression and you got yourself a low key comedian for a friend.

Standing at a whopping 4'7 and weighs around the exact ideal weight for his height. He looks like you typical gamer boy except he has a few questionable fashion choices, more like bad ways of dressing himself. As shown above. He appears to be very lousy to his appearance not even bothering to wear his headset straight and fix his hair, right. He wears a plain teal jacket with a hoodie while wearing a white button down shirt with a red necktie underneath it. He wears the manly big boy black slacks with a regular black belt and black shoes. The most notable feature from the boy is probably is strange headset he's wearing. A black colored headset with speaker cat ears and silicon butterfly wings. he has dull blue hair and faded silver eyes now just a disclaimer, he actually doesn't have silver eyes. (Or does he?) There were no records of him actually using the power nor has actual ability to do so. He looks pretty young, in fact baby faced. Some might mistaken him as a kid lost in Beacon. The heart with the cross hairs on the side of his headset is his emblem icon.

Arc has personal style that is rather new and strange to sword fighting standards. Arc is able to switch to single hand combat to dual wield thanks to his custom made weapon. At first glance Arc's fighting style looks rather impractical and just seems like he's just showing off but then later he'll come to his more advanced and trickier moves that he has either learned or seen from others. Arc is dangerous up close. Arc constantly switches between styles of sworplay every minute or two. Arc is ever growing in his fighting style and continues to expand it by learning from others. There has been times that he has actually been outmatched back in his earlier times and he is still learning till today. Arc is close to completely useless if the enemy is afar. He has done Grimm crowd control but he is better when it is a 1V1.

These two colored straight katanas can be merged into one sword, thus giving Arc the single handed option to fight. These katanas are actually short sword length rather than the usual long. Both the same size and design. Made with near indestructible material. These katanas are not Dust compatible as Arc is not really fond of dust due to an accident he had back in his earlier days in Atlas.

Semblance: Omega speed

Rumors say he doesn't have a semblance but in reality he actually does have one, he just doesn't show it often. He has the ability to buff his own speed for a good 5 minutes. If practiced it could longer. Arc becomes insanely fast, so fast he has been clocked around the speed of Mach 5. He becomes so fast he could leave his standing spot a afterimage of himself doing his last pose before going insanely fast. Although he maybe going fast but he sacrifices all his Aura to be converted in to speed. So anyone who can see him coming at 500mph can totally finish him there and on as he sacrificed his Aura for the sake of speed. In fact even weak punches can finish him at this state since he is going so fast and he is now fragile, it's like crashing a car to a solid brick wall to him. Although as strong as his semblance is. He only uses it as a trump card when the battle is hard and he is resorting to anger and violence.

Skills: Computer know how is second nature to him, thanks in part to his semblence. His car is another matter entirely, and because of this pet project he has a general knowledge of cars and their mechanics. In his schooling and tinkerings, he's found himself to be a practicioner of Dust usage.

Semblance: Technopath - has the ability mentally interact with various aspects of technology and bend it to his will. The more mechanical and/or computerized an object is, the easier it is to control. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, boats, planes, scrolls, robots, all of this is potentially susceptible to his semblance. As a rule in general, the more hostile or complex an object is, the longer it takes for him to bring it under his control. Distance is also crucial, as the farther away an object is, the weaker his influence on it will be.

Fighting style: He will generally resort to attempting to use his semblance first, and then on failing that, using all of his gadgets and a combination of his semblance with them depending on his selection of gadgets at hand. And on finally resorting to his weapons, all bets are off.

Weaponry: Zai usually travels in style, with a moderately high-end two door red sports car. This dust-fueled wonder is a special project of Zai's, with many, many, many modifications to handle a variety of situations. It is capable of partial tranformation into an off-roading vehicle, and is armed with many dust-enabled defenses, as well as a direct connection to his scroll and the wealth of information of the CCT.

Always on his person is a sword-gun, emblazoned with his emblem, a gear eclipsing another gear. Using his mental abilities, he can switch out whatever loaded dust types he wants to use.

Appearance: Zai's faunas heritage is quite obvious in his striped skin. The famous stripes of the animal adorn him, and his skin color very much so mimics the big cat, though far less furry. As a tiger faunas, he has also been blessed with intimidating inky black claws. Golden eyes that seem to shimmer with an unknown spark adorn his sharply angular face. Normally, his sleekly muscled torso is adorned in a loosely fitting leather vest with a white button-up shirt tucked into a pair of black slacks with a series of studded belts ladden with dust cartridges. He keeps his bright red hair long on the top with the sides and back shaved off, and often enough just keeps it all pulled back in a ponytail. on his right ear is a small hoop earring with a minuscule red dust crystal on it.

Personality: Always talkative, always cheerful, and always thinking of the next move. He's a hyper bundle of energy, and always looking for the next big score or the next worthy cause, whichever way he happens to drift. Honoring the dead and fighting for the still living are very important to him, hence his wanderer lifestyle since the disbanding of team CHEZ.

Backstory: Growing up as a priveledged Faunas, Zai was always taught to be thankful for what he had, as many others were not so fortunate. His parents were the figureheads of a massive collection of merchants, with his mother being a huntress of no small caliber. As such, they were able to eek out a moderate sum of money to live by comfortably and then more over time. At a young age, however, his mother passed in a devastating Grimm attack, leaving his father to raise a rebellious child. But, that generousity and willingness to help others that his mother lived by never left Zai, it being one of his most cherished memories of her wonderful heart and a desire to continue his mother's work. Shortly after enrolling at the academy, he began to work as a mechanic outside of taking classes with his father funding much of Zai's education, both at the academy and his tutored passion for understanding the mechanics of vehicles, seeing as how the family made their fortune using them. Zai did quite well with Team CHEZ, up until one fateful day when pursuing some particularly nasty Grimm did Zai's life truely change forever. One member did not survive the onslaught of Grimm that came at them with no warning, and another died later due to her injuries. Zai has since displayed a sense of hyper-vigilance, unwilling to let that happen again to anyone.

Okay, so I am one of the moderators but I've yet to have permission to officially accept your character. I will throw in my 2 cents, but you may or may not change it or wait for teh admin, who will return in about two daysish.

I don't know about his semblance about specifically controlling tech, doesn't really sound like it can be a semblance. Maybe if he controlled electricity or metal or somthing, it would make sense? And even then it also sounds a bit too op to me, mainly cause I am imagining him just stright up messing with people's weapons. I think giving him a time limit for how long he can control a tech would be best, since having unanimous control over an object(mainly other people's weapons) seems a bit god modding. Another thing, they're should be a limit of how big of a thing he can control, if he controls it at all.

I also feel that he puts a bit too much emphasis on the car? Now imma wait for the admin to come and give yes or no, but it feels a bit much? I dunno. I mean what's the character's background like? I guess that's my only question, if it's either from a rich family or from a kind of a mechanical family that makes sense. As for the weapon, why not make it a wrench that turns into a nail gun or somthing? Since he's all mechanical and techy and what not. Just a thought though and you don't need to follow through.

I wasn't wanting to mess with weapons, my emphasis was on controlling vehicles and interacting mentally with computerized things, hence the car. Yang has a bike, but I personally don't care for them. and I was thinking it's mentally exhausting to control something. And yes, he was a rich kid. I can edit in a backstory.
