Abilities: Aura can be used as a means or protection as well as a weapon by projecting one's aura outward in a "push" of sort.
A person's semblance is an extension of one's self. It should be a reflection of that character's personality in a way. It also shouldn't be OP. Try giving it limitations or weaknesses in order to balance it out.
A semblance may also be used with the mixture of dust. If your character knows how to, come up with some ways that your character's semblance can be mixed together with dust.
Tank: Durable, heavy hitters that are usually somewhat slower with their attacks depending on the weapon.
Fighter: Attacks that rely on direct hits that do more critical, calculated strikes in close range.
Ranged: Distanced hitters that usually rely on speed and reflexes to get the job done.
Caster: Someone very influenced by semblances and dust, specially trained in these categories and more fragile than others.

Her long, blue hair is pulled into a ponytail by a leather band. Her eyes are like crystal spheres of cyan with pale white skin. Atop her silver tank top rests a blue jacket with silver trimming that follows the bottom trim, the middle trim, and the trim down her arms, finished by cuffs that button at the wrists. At her waist rests a silver cloth, held together by a silver buckle holding a blue gem in the center of it. Extending downward from the cloth belt comes a white skirt. The shadows that fall on the skirt make the white coloring look gray. Finishing her look are cyan colored heels. Blue pears rest in the middle of the ankle, guiding a split in the shoes that pull the material back into bands that wrap around her calves, crossing once before wrapping around the very middle of her calves. Bliss stands at a short 5'5", weighing about 90 lbs. Her expression is set in bitter coldness from years of emotional repression, easily mistaken for a glance of boredom or disinterest. Her voice is calm and rarely ever raised, seeming almost as bored and uninterested as the look on her face.

Semblance: Cold Touch
Bliss's semblance allows her to conjure ice out of thin air, similar to that of combining water and wind dust. Mainly used for the purpose of creating ice bolt projectiles and covering the ground with a slippery sheet of ice, her semblance can also be used to create sharp spikes to pierce enemies and walls or domes to protect herself and others from harm. Bliss has also trained herself intensely with dust, being able to use it to empower her own semblance very well. (Example: Combining her ice bolts with fire dust creates a projectile of burning ice that does both ice and fire damage, both freezing and burning enemies.)

Well versed in her swordsmanship and her projectiles, Bliss's skills are best used in the combination of dust in order to support her allies. By applying dust to her semblance and weapons, she can use her skills and abilities to boost others' attacks and also help protect them from taking damage.

Weapon Name: Blue Bury
Primary Form:
Blue Bury only possess a single form. A long, thin sword, the hilt holds a large blue gem. Extending outward from the gem are diamond-shaped metal pieces, all placed in the form of a snowflake. Holding the bottom of the gem is a cylindrical piece that connects the gem to the handle. At the very bottom of the bottom rests a plate with a sharp arrow extending out of it. This piece can be removed to reveal a chamber of dust cartridges. There are three cartridges, designed to hold five forms of dust: Fire, (Kinetic) Energy, and Gravity Dust.

History:

The daughter of a crazed discharged Atlas Soldier. Korin spent much of her life being forced through rigorous training. It had always been her fathers idea that Korin would eventually join Beacon Academy and become a Huntress. Her father had been discharged due to being believed to be too unstable mentally. She grew up in Vale watching many people around her struggle through life. She had met many people that only would go on missions as hunters and huntresses to only end up dead. It almost became something she was good at. She would be able to pick out a huntress or hunter and guess how long till they died. It was easier to see the problems when you lived on the lower side of society, her own father being too poor and stubborn to trust anyone enough to get a stable job. Knowing her own set of skills she knew she would end up at Beacon, she even ended up going to signal. While at signal she struggled to find a weapon type she liked and eventually created red valkyrie after one of the professors pointed out she liked to stay at a distance during combat. She ended up graduating with full marks and has since been enrolled in beacon.

Personality:

Korin could be described as a serious person. She tends not to open to others very often, often getting into disagreements or even not talking often for extended periods. She views the world as a dangerous place where everyone is just struggling to survive. She tends to lay with her thoughts, examining situations and others without telling anyone what she thinks.
She may come off as secretive to others. She goes to great lengths to prepare herself for combat situations, she comes off as odd, many finding it hard to get past her closed view of the world.
She refers to her friends or teammates often as simply "colleagues" unwilling to get close enough to anyone to be affected by the possibility of their death.
She can be quite hyper-focused when it comes to missions and carries them out relentlessly and even can be merciless when she is upset or has a dislike for someone. Korin sees herself as realistic, she knows the dangers and requirements of becoming a huntress and takes on a self deprecating view of the world, often struggling to find meaning in life.

Semblance: Teleportation Tag

Korin can tag an object and throw it and teleport to it's location. This works within 20m and can only be used once per tag, after she teleports to an object, she must touch it again to tag it.
This is most notably used on her own weaponry, tagging her Naginata or one of the bullets from her DMR, teleporting to the object after it has been launched, she can use this to simulate flight to an extent although she can only tag an object while grounded.


Combat Style: Ranged
Most of Korin's fighting style revolves around taking use of the length of both her naginata and the effect sniping range of her DMR. She makes for a good fighter and a good long range sniper, often mercilessly slashing through large groups of enemies due to the long reach of her weapon. She is quick and hard to pin down due to her ability to seamlessly incorporate her semblance into her fighting style, often throwing a weapon to impale an enemy, teleporting to it and pulling it out before quickly manuevering around teleporting.

Weapon Name: Red Valkyrie

Red Valkyrie is a weapon that can turn into a Naginata or a DMR (Designated Marksman Rifle)

While in DMR mode, her DMR has a scope that can function between a regular scope or a nightvision scope. It can shoot from far ranges, much like any other sniper and can be outfitted with dust rounds to provide elemental bullet effects such as incendiary rounds or Ice rounds. Unlike actual Sniper Rifle, as a DMR, it has a much higher rate of fire, at the cost of a reduced range. It however has the benefit of being much more compact than a true sniper rifle.

While in Naginata mode it functions as a Naginata would, being a long polearm, Korin relies on brutally impaling enemies, spinning her polearm and twirling it to deflect bullets, and generally taking advantage of the longer range of the weapon.

Appearance:
For all intents and purposes, Geist's appearance is the definition of unremarkable, and she is indistinguishable from a crowd of faces in any normal situation. She has fair, brown hair, and rather soft-looking steel-grey eyes. Despite her history as a soldier, her body is quite slim and petite, and she stands at a paltry 5'5".

History:
Geist Grauwolke, real name unknown, used to belong to AlsosprachZarathustra (here onwards referred to as AZ), a mercenary outfit that based itself in Vacuo. She left her past behind, becoming the Hunter who exists today, casting the memory of her life prior behind, but holding onto the fury that fueled her desire to become a hunter of the darkness that plagued the world.

During her years in AZ, she would be partnered with another young wannabe mercenary, Yurei Aoshima, and both slowly became close partners in their training. Deployed out at a young age as child soldiers, the both survived battle after battle, facing near death with each other, and by the young age of 10, both of them were considered official members within the ranks AZ, surprising most of their peers. They were, by all means, supposed to be cannon fodder, meant to die for the missions. No one would mourn them, after all. Yet, both of them kept coming back, and soon, the two 'spectres' of AZ became something of an oft-told story amongst their kind.

By that age, however, both Geist and Yurei had long forgotten their reasons for fighting, and gained new ones. Yurei was determined to scrape up enough money to open up her own bakery, having gotten into business and baking. She fought for the money. Geist, on the other hand, developed a love for battle, and fought for the sole reason of fighting. Every time she picked up her axe, each time she felt the rush of wind in her face as she chased down her prey, the resistance on the shaft as she slammed her halberd’s axe-head into the body of a Grimm, the recoil of her gun- these were what she fought for now. She lived and fought for the pure thrill of it. She didn’t simply enjoy the hunt. What she enjoyed was surviving. Every daybreak was exhilarating to her. She was determined to live, and she was determined to fight for as long as she lived. Geist and Yurei would chat into the mornings about their wishes and desires for the future, and, though their paths diverged, they understood what the other wanted to do.

When they were 16, just one year prior to today, AlsosprachZarathustra disbanded out of internal conflict, as well as the fact that some of their numbers were unofficially registered hunters, and the subsequent arrest of its leader due to dealing with child soldiers. Piling their money together, Geist and Yurei set down their weapons, and set up their own bakery, far away from Vacuo, in a cozy town somewhere in Vale. One year passed, and after Geist was sure that her friend was going to do just fine with her store, she left with a promise to visit whenever she was in the area. Both girls understood that Geist belonged in the chaos of battle as much as Yurei belonged in her bakery.

If she wanted war, if she wanted battle, if she wanted to fight, then why shouldn't she do it for something that mattered? She enrolled herself into Beacon Academy, for the sole selfish reason of being thrown into the fray once more, and to get official paperwork while she was at it. It would feel good to be ordered to fight once more. She was initially declined due to the events surrounding her past, namely her involvement with what could have been considered a criminal organisation. However, Beacon eventually caved, reasoning that she was merely one of the many victims of circumstance- another child soldier brought to bear by the cruelty of the world, and she was accepted within the walls of the academy.

Personality:
Geist comes off as extremely adaptable, almost hilariously so, to many things in life. While it may seem as if there is little that can cause a reaction from her, the truth behind the matter is that she does indeed react. It is simply her ability to immediately adapt herself to the circumstances, whether through suspension of disbelief or otherwise, that allows her to regain her composure and calmness quickly.

Though perhaps possessing more experience than most of her peers, Geist sees herself as just another soldier. She would agree to take up a leadership role if pressed to, but she is content with being nothing more than the muscle of the group. She doesn't see herself as any better than other Hunters, and is only too happy to take orders from a capable leader. It follows that she blends in quickly to a group, and does all she can to assist team-mates without being asked. She strives to achieve solidarity between her and her group. However, when she gets truly frustrated, either through the bumblings of a leader or her team-mates, Geist becomes extremely stubborn, and takes off to do her own thing by herself. Whether anyone follows her or not is irrelevant. If she has to do something by herself, she will.

Geist is socially awkward. She has absolutely no experience talking with people, and has problems understanding what other people want. Though quite astute in feeling the atmosphere of a room, she has no idea how to read between the lines, and takes the words of others at face value. She is so spoiled by her relationship with her ex-partner that any other social interactions with other people not named Yurei Aoshima crumbles quickly as she is simply not accustomed to conversing with civilians or other Hunters that don't match her wavelength. The only way to get her to understand is by being as direct as possible about what one needs. However, she knows of her own predicament, and has picked up on how to better read the mood of a room or others, and knows when she should keep her mouth shut...unless told to do so otherwise.

Abilities:
Geist specialises in using her Aura for combat applications, due to her less impressive Semblance, being able to switch between defensive and offensive applications of her Aura to block, and riposte where needed, as well as grant her temporary boosts in speed to maneuver around targets.
None. Geist, surprisingly, hasn't been able to manifest a Semblance, relying wholly on martial prowess and Aura to survive this long.
Geist is a Fighter but her range is usually much longer than what most would expect from a fighter, and she prefers to dodge and duck around rather than trade blows.

Strengths -
What places Geist, at the very least, on the same level as her allies is her experience and the skill that comes with it. Barely the strongest, not exactly the fastest, Geist uses her prime weapons at her disposal to their greatest efficiency to cover the distance between her and those with superior physique. She is learned in making up for her lack of a Semblance to manipulate her Aura, and is capable of using it to bolster her movements, defenses, or attacks much more easily than most of her peers.

Her appearance, loadout, and skills encourage her to favour hit and run techniques, and she capitalises on this, using her agility and all the tools in her disposal to engage a target, land a few good hits, then backing off to create confusion.

Geist has the analytical mind of a tactician, and the skill of a soldier of fortune. With the combination of both of these, she makes for a strange type of team player, being able to identify the weaknesses and strengths of her teammates and her targets, and adapting her own behaviour to better support her allies and creating openings for them to capitalise on.

In halberd mode, the Calibre offers the ability to control close-ranged combat by keeping enemies at a safe enough distance, while also providing not-so-insignificant damage output. In its split mode, the Calibre offers faster maneuvers and the combination of both axe and gun lets its users cover a close to mid-ranged combat quite well, at the cost of general firepower.

Weaknesses -
Geist's small body and specialisation (or lack of one) puts her at a disadvantage when it comes to matching brute force. Under no circumstance can she even hope to try and block heavier and stronger attacks without eventually crumbling.

Reloading the Calibre takes a significant amount of time, which means that if Geist has to take off to reload, she will be out of commission for a good few seconds, or she will have to risk continuing the engagement with nothing but blanks.

Geist has a bad habit of doing things her own way. While she ultimately does things for the good of her team, there are times that she will completely disobey orders out of exasperation, and act on her own instincts rather than follow others’ lead. She will follow orders, but has only so much patience before she takes matters into her own hands.

Geist is extremely spoiled by her experience with a proper partner who knows how to follow up with her attacks. She has no experience (or at least, has forgotten about it) working with people with different personalities than her previous partner.

Weapon
AT-434 'Calibre'
A halberd that can be split up into a gun and an axe, and was designed, as most huntsman weapons are, to be able to be used across any range with flexibility. There is a locking mechanism in place to secure the axe-head into the gun section, so its user has no need to worry about the axe-head being dislocated during a fight. The gun is a semi-automatic handgun that has a cyclical chambering system within it that loads different Dust types within its system, which the user can control. Compared to the Myternaster, which its design is slightly based off on, it has a more limited capacity, and runs out of Dust ammunition fairly quickly, necessitating reloads in the long run.

The Calibre was supposed to be a beginner's weapon, designed with the basic idea of transforming weapons in mind, to get huntsmen used to the concept. However, it fell out of favor due to the lack of need of such a product, and production was discontinued. Geist's Calibre is the one out of seventy-six models that still remain today.

Primary Form
Halberd Mode: Pictured above. In this mode, there is a function for the Calibre that allows it to 'fire' blanks. By pulling the trigger, an empty chamber is able to discharge a vibration across the axe-head, allowing it a burst of energy to cut through more stubborn hides of Grimm, or overpower the defenses of human enemies. This allows the user to still be able to use the weapon even when running on empty.

Firing Dust in halberd mode imbues the axe-head with the properties of the Dust chambered into it. Common usage of this trait consists of running a Grimm through with the spearhead, and firing an Ice Dust round, causes an explosion around the spearhead that encases the Grimm in ice, allowing for more follow-ups from either Geist or her team-mates. Geist primarily uses Ice and Fire Dust, but has a stock of a variety of other Dust rounds.

Split Mode: The disengaged form of Calibre, turning it into a gun-and-axe combo. What it lacks in the melee firepower that its Halberd Mode possesses, it makes up for it with utility. Dust can be fired for a variety of effects, but none of them are particularly impressive, ranging from incendiary shots to high-voltage 'shotgun' blasts at close range. Its lack of flash and firepower befits the Calibre's status of a generic Hunter's weapon.

History:
Merlin was a huntress of a very successful team that graduated Beacon about a decade and a half ago. Team MADN was a very well known team that came out of beacon.
Not much is known of their members however Merlin went on to become the headmaster of beacon at age 28.


Personality:
Merlin can be described as wise and charming and even kind. She tends to be quite supportive of her students, encouraging them to be open about their problems and tends to not like punishing them in any severe way.

History: Arséne was born into one of the richest families of Vale. The family has held on to their wealth for generations through one means and that is strength. Thus he was trained and tutored by the worlds finest to be the best. As Arséne and his relatives come of age and an inheritor had to be named, it was time to prove himself to the family. He is the eldest son of the current CEO and thus has the most eyes on him. As a way to prove himself and knock down his inferior cousins, he will attend Beacon Academy and become the greatest hunter to ever belong to ever carry the Arcueid name.

Personality: Arséne is a confident man that very often comes off as cocky. He cares nothing about race or physical attributes. As long as you have a use you have worth. Arséne has no problems with bending the rules or playing dirty, but he always stick to his morals and the code of his family.

Semblance: Electricity, Arséne's body can generate electricity that he can use in his attacks and transmit through his aura and weapons.

Weapon name: Ouroboros, Wrapped and held around his wrist
Primary form: Two long chains with blades and snake like hooks on the end made with a mix of metal, gravity and space dust. Extends out and can be retracted quickly. Made with space and gravity dust to be an incredibly long length, and able to hook onto a small gravity field made using dust.
Secondary Form: Twin daggers from the end of the chains used for close combat.

Standing at an impressive 5'6 1/2" with a build to match, Isern won't be darkening any doorways any time soon.
History - Born in Vacuo, Isern has lived, for all intents and purposes, a fairly average and boring life. He's gotten into his fair share of brawls over his height, the would be bullies thinking someone like him would make for an easy target. How he got into Beacon, however, is suspect, for he did not have the best of grades in his classes.
Personality - The very definition of Napoleon Complex, Isern is hot tempered and always spoiling for a fight in an attempt to prove himself better than others for his perceived shortcomings, the most obvious of which being his miniscule height.

Color: Steely grey (Isern translates from Old English to Iron)
Abilities: Defense
Dragon's Greed. Quickly bracing for an attack, Isern absorbs the kinetic energy and stores it as thermal energy. He can then use this stored energy to do a small handful of things such as breath fire or empower one of his swings. Doing this expels all stored energy.
Tank: When Isern feels like he has something to prove, he is not easily moved.
Strengths -
  1. Using his Semblance, Isern can absorb large amounts of damage with no ill effects over a short amount of time.
  2. Not a stranger to fighting against the odds, Isern can handle himself in a fight against many foes.
  3. Surprisingly strong for his size
  4. His high aura levels allow him to act as a bulwark against all but the most determined of assailants.
  5. A happy accident, the bony growths that sprout from him can make it awkward, or downright painful, for larger combatants to grapple him.
Weaknesses -
  1. Hot tempered and touchy, he's a short fuse that's looking for the lit match to set him off.
  2. Prolonged fights were his opponent(s) attacks are light nullify the effectiveness of his Semblance.
  3. A close to mid range fighter, Isern has no way to close the distance.
  4. He isn't the brightest bulb, most colorful crayon, and could quite possibly be rowing with only one oar. This boy isn't that smart.
  5. Isern can easily be manipulated via his Napoleon complex.
Weapon Name - Cwellere
Primary Form - Two handed dane axe.
Secondary Form - The head of the axe drops down to serve as a stock, pulling the trigger down as it does so. A slot in the top opens up where dust cartridges can be loaded. Fully transformed, Cwellere resembles a bren machine gun.

Allium Clematis

Age - 17

Species - Faunus (Bee)

Gender - Female

Occupation - Student

Appearance - She has tan skin, purple and black striped hair, violet eyes, purple-but-almost-black antenna, and insectile wings (they are not able to grant flight, only redirect her in the air).

History - Born in Vacuo to a nomadic tribe she spent her early life knowing only the other members of her tribe. She was raised as a beekeeper for the settlement by her father, but she loved to tinker with her mother. A Grimm attack left her with both parents dead and no living siblings. The tribe took care of her, but it was never the same afterwards. Eventually she decided to train to fight the Grimm, to protect what was left of her community. Now she is entering Beacon Academy after years of hard work, and she is ready to prove herself to her peers.

Personality - She is somewhat shy and awkward around strangers. She is usually timid and is slow to anger, but once riled up she will fight fiercely to the end. Allium prefers the outdoors, especially natural areas. She can get excited over lush plant life, especially flowers. She is very protective of her beehives. She is loyal to a fault, but is slow to trust.

Aura Ability - Bursts of speed and minor protection

Bees! - She can push her semblance into bees, making them hers. Her bees tend to grow to the size of hamsters, but they are not particularly fast, durable, or venomous. They tend to be fluffy like a bumblebee, no matter the type of bee it was originally. Her bees are a bit more intelligent than normal, like particularly dumb dogs. They are very loyal, and very snuggly. The honey that her bees make has interesting properties, though so far the results have been somewhat random, if consistently positive. There are a few types of honey she has categorized.

Healing Honey - This honey can heal injuries it is smeared on, or give the drinker minor regeneration for a minute or two. Made by her bees like normal honey.

Aura Honey - This honey partially restores the drinker's Aura. Made by pushing her Aura into the bees making honey, it is exhausting to make.

Strong Honey - This honey gives the drinker enhanced strength for around a minute, though it doesn't protect from exhaustion or doing damage to oneself with the enhanced strength. (She only has ~5 doses left of this, and she has no idea how her bees made it the first time and she hasn't been able to replicate it).

Allium has done limited experiments with Dust, and she can tell that her bees can make some interesting honeys with it involved, but she hasn't been able to afford enough to figure things out.

Appearance: Yuki comes in at a rather tiny five foot one, the shortest in her family much to her chagrin. Her hair is a vibrant shade of pink that reaches down to her upper back with small green baubles attached to the ends, the baubles a present from her mother. Her skin is rather fair despite where she was raised, and piercing green eyes match the baubles in her hair. Her usual outfit consists of comfortable brown loafers with black knee-length socks. A short green plaid skirt conceals a pair of black spats, above which she wears a black t-shirt partially covered by a brown jacket, the sleeves rolled up to just below her elbows. A pair of fingerless gloves complete the outfit, as well as a dufflebag full of arrows and her favorite stuffed charm.

History: On the distant shores of Menagerie a young faunus girl would stare up at the stars and wonder if she could one day reach out and grab them. Yuki was always intrigued by the stars, how something so beautiful could exist so far out of her reach. Her mother would tell her stories of a great archer who pinned all of the stars to the sky long ago for the one they loved. Her family lived in one of the smaller settlements on the island, they survived on a diet of fresh fish and hardy crops. Life was good for the small family, but all of the stories that filled Yuki's head since birth had her dreaming of something more than a simple life. She wanted to be the greatest archer in the world, in all of history! Good enough to rival the archers of legends and shoot down the stars themselves to prove it. It took years of begging, saving lien from small jobs and practicing every day, but she finally received her parents permission to attend a huntsmen school in Vale. There she continued her training in the way of the bow, peppering her opponents with enough arrows to blot out the sun.

Semblance: Threads of Fate: After touching an object, Yuki can create nearly invisible threads out of her own aura. These threads allow her to manipulate how an object moves, from it's angle and trajectory and even it's speed. There is a limit to the weight and size of object she can handle, and as it stands she can only manage four threads at a time.
Combat style: Ranged/Caster. While she's no slouch with her bow Yuki uses her semblance to manipulate her arrows in order to keep her foes at longer ranges. She prefers to play keep away with enemies, never letting them get within a range where her bow is useless.

Weapon Name: Twilight Piercer, A mechashift bow that can fire both dust and regular arrows. Dust arrows range from whatever dust Yuki can get her hands on, although she usually carries yellow and and light blue dust arrows.
Primary Form: The base form of the weapon, it is a composite shortbow that allows for quicker shots and is useful in enclosed spaces.
Second Form: The variant form of the weapon, the bow itself folds out into a longbow of around five feet in height. This larger form allows for more powerful arrows to be fired and is usually used in larger areas.
Final Form: The final variant of the weapon, the bow itself straightens into a medium sized bo staff of around three feet. Useful to catch enemies off guard, this form also allows it to extend and retract a short distance with the press of a button

History – Reggie was born and raised in Atlas but later moved to Vale seeking a simpler, slower paced life. His family is still in Atlas and he visits them when he can during Beacon’s holidays. He graduated from Atlas Academy and served his time as a Huntsman in his home country before moving to his new home.
Personality – Reggie resonates too well with Atlas’s dogma of discipline and duty. It was because of this that he decided to get away from his roots in order to find his own peace. He knows that had he stayed there, he’d either get roped into the military or worse, hired by the SDC. Because of his history, he tries as best as he can to be a more relaxed person outside of his job and duty.

Reggie can use his semblance to affect the friction surfaces in contact with his projected aura field. He usually uses this to increase traction when moving, allowing him to run on walls to some extent given enough speed. This also has some applications in combat but aren’t as easily visible. He can increase the damage of his blunt attacks by increasing friction on his club’s surface. Or by reducing friction he can give his bullets more stopping power or make his shield deflect attacks better.
He cannot transfer this effect on other people covered with aura.
Tank
Reggie is a close to mid-range fighter, using his club in close quarters and its shotgun form in mid-range while his shield lets him stand his ground and deflect blows.

Weapon – Dodeka and Andreia
Dodeka is a 2 ft long non-transforming twelve gauge shotgun-club. It can hold a max of six shells and can fire semi-auto as needed. It’s short length allows Reggie to completely cover it in his semblance to better aid his attacks. The striking surface of the club is also filled with spikes that further capitalize on Reggie’s fighting style.
Andreia is a smooth round shield that doubles as Reggie’s means of reloading Dodeka. There is a cartridge feeding system near the handle of the shield that Dodeka can slot into for a quick reload. The shield holds a maximum of thirty shells, and can be quickly refilled.

Now he's hoping to get into Beacon and become someone that his terrible parents would admire, that or he has something else entirely in mind.

Personality: He's rather laid back about almost anything. However, there is one thing that he is completely serious about, and that is his goals. If you come in between him and his goals, he will shoot you down, no matter who you are to him.

He ran. He ran and he ran - sprinting through the forest of emerald trees. His breaths heavy and panicked. Visions flashed through his mind - visions of his brother's body lying in the dirt, not moving. The pack of Beowolves surrounding it. North squeezed his eyes shut and shook the thoughts away. This wasn't the time to mourn. This was the time to run. He heard the pounding steps of the pack behind him, and he couldn't help but to glance behind. It lead to his downfall as he tripped on a tree's exposed roots, tumbling into the dirt. Instinctively, he twisted his body around to see the alpha of the pack rear onto its hind legs and stare at him, eager to end the boy. The alpha let out a deafening roar, making the boy flinch and cower. He was going to die. He knew it, but he didn't want to die. He couldn't die. Then who would avenge his dead brothers? Filled with sudden determination, North gritted his teeth and reached back for a shoddily made arrow. As the alpha went to attack, his eyes turned white as a blinding light encompassed his entire body. The alpha reeled back from the pain as North nocked his arrow and pulled back on his drawstring.

Appearance:
Argent Decently built with a height of 6 ft. The most striking feature is his faunus characteristic, Argent has intermingled silver hair and quills going from his head and eventually tapers out on his lower back. The stiffness of his quills and hair results in a Faux Hawk that continues down his neck, shoulders, and back. Due to this trait he has much difficulty wearing shirts. He has a tight leather vest that can help hold his quills down or a vest that has multiple thin straps in the back that can slide underneath the layers of quilts for a much more comfortable experience. Lastly due to his life on the plains he’d often not wear his vest so his skin has a very dark tan to it.

History:
Argent was born in central Sanus between Vacuo and Vale. Argent’s father Aurnox was an entrepreneur who decided to buy a herd of cattle and herd them around the pampas and prairies that ran along the borders. Of Vacuo and Vale. Once the cattle were fattened up they would take the herd westward to Vacuo where the beef could catch a high price. They would then take what they didn’t sell back east where they could trade cattle to several settlements and purchase supplies from Vale. Though the first years proved troublesome, once he got familiar with the paths, how to wrangle cattle, and how to fight off grimm or scatter the herd and round them up again following a gimm attack; he began to make a sizable profit eventually earning the title of the Bull Baron.
Argent’s mother, Cyprus, was a porcupine faunus who resided on one of the settlements on the trail. She was a strong minded spitfire of a person. She was the daughter of the sheriff of the area. She herself was a deputy that’d often keep the peace. The first time she saw Aurnox and his cow hands passing through she wasn’t sure if this would pan out. During one of the early years Aurnox ran into bandit issues. Cyprus took pity upon him and respected the fact that he would often bring and trade items and supplies from the bigger cities. She was able to round up several townsfolk and were able to track down the bandits and recover the stolen cattle and items. Following this Aurnox always made sure to stop there along the way and give a decent commission to the sheriff for keeping the area safe. Eventually they fell for each other. Cyprus only traveled with Aurnox a few times when bandits were especially active, otherwise she mostly stayed in her hometown. She had three kids with Argent being the middle child.

When he was younger he remained in town living with his Mother, Grandma, and Grandpa. When he was older he went out with his father on the trail for a few years herding the cattle back and forth between Vacuo and Vale. While on the trail he learned that there are some grim that should be avoided at all costs until the rare huntsmen passed through the area and cleared it. Wishing to help improve these forgotten settlements Argent decided he would become Hunter.

Personality:
Argent is a bright cheery character who has endured many hardships on the trails. While he is with others he tries to be the pillar of solidarity even pulling more than his fair share of the weight to make things easier for everyone else. For those he doesn’t know he is quick to understand them sooner than others would expect.

Argent’s aura is a dark grey colour. He has a significant amount of aura but it’s VERY slow to recover.
Aura Vamp
Argent is able to drain aura from others to fill his own. The closer the proximity the stronger the drain. Argent can feel a slight “pull” towards those he is draining. Since Aura is also the manifestation of one’s soul that “pull” often has a general emotion that has an empathetic effect.

Argent found his semblance when the herd was attacked by a death stalker. They scattered the herd to minimize losses. Unfortunately his section was the one chased by the death stalker. The other cowhands were attempting to regroup to fight it off. Driven by a sense of urgency to protect the cattle Argent had inserted himself between the deathstalker and the cattle. As he was struck by the tail he could feel his aura flicker and then something else. He felt a “pull” between him, the other cowhands, and the cattle. Though still tired and exhausted he felt his energy slowly returning. He was able to hold his ground a little longer until the rest of the cow hands showed up to help drive off the death stalker. Once the Death Stalker was gone they began to round up the scattered cattle. That night after they ate dinner and settled down after telling the story of how he held his ground against the stalker, he could still feel that “tug” and a feeling of exhaustion and content those around him. Feeling that connection he was able to rest easy knowing he stood for the masses.

Combat style:
Argent is a grapple tank who’d likes to be close and personal. Argent focuses on immobilizing a target so they can’t move and then using his sword as a finisher. While long range is a tragedy for him, mid range isn’t too bad, and close range is S+ tier.

Ferox is a pair of insulated scaled plate gauntlets. While initially simple there is a cattle prod built into the knuckles and gravity dust wells built into it. These dust wells correspond with Argent’s boomerangs and Bolas to bring them back if need be. Argent also has manicae that can drop down from his shoulder guards to protect his upper arms.
Argent has several boomerangs and Bolas that are tethered via gravity dust to the Ferox enabling them to return as needed. Argent also has some smoke bombs at his disposal.
A heavy two handed non-tapered sword (executioner sword). The handle does extend for mounted use or to increase the swing length.

History: Musashi was a Faunus born in a remote village in Minstral. Musahi spent a long time traveling the wilds, fighting grimm before finally getting a license as a hunter. He found work in Vale as a professor at Beacon after a dispute with the Minstral council due to his background as a vagrant.
Personality: Musashi is a calm, collected, humble man. He has spent much of his life around nature and has grown a strong love for it. Despite his easy going nature his is strict when it comes to his teaching, knowing that knowledge is what will keep his students alive in the future.
Aura:
Color: A light pink
Abilities: Musashi can infuse his aura into his weapons, to increase the power of his weapons. This works quite well against Grimm.
Semblance:
Sakura Blossoms

Musashi can produce Sakura blossoms to hinder his opponents sightlines and hide in. His semblance can be used with dust letting his Sakura blossoms take on the properties of the dust used. For example if fire dust is used then when the blossoms are cut, they will ignite to cause an explosion.
Fighter:
Musashi uses a blade in both hands and relies on dodging and parrying his opponents attacks before delivering a devastating attack that cripples his opponents.
Strengths - Calm, Agile, Uses tricks when fighting his opponents, His semblance allows him to conceal himself, ambidextrous
Weaknesses - Cannot take a lot of hits, Stands out due to his looks, fighting in a team is not his specialty, Semblance can affect allies as well, a frail constitution has left Musahi with a constant cough.

    Personality:
    Easygoing and chipper, Fang Hua seems to get along with most people around her, due in part she tries so hard to see the best in everyone. That's not to say she's trusting, as, Fang Hua tends to keep most people at arm's length, not allowing people to become too close. The reason, is why they are here, to become huntsmen and huntresses, a dangerous job that could see many killed, injured, and missing. To lessen the pain of that knowledge, Fang Hua gives into the fear, and tries her best not to get too attached to everyone, as a way to preserve herself from the self-destructive thoughts she's harboured. Masking this under her smile and cheer, it looks as if she has little care in the simpler things in life.

    However, come time for a fight, Fang Hua's demeanor changes, the smile fades, and stone cold determination sets in. Her eyes become passionate and still, while she still keeps her easygoing attitude within, allowing her to communicate with those around her, one thing sets in at the forefront of her mind, the fight. In stressful times, she's courageous and brazen, doing everything she can to make things right, even if it means she throws herself into a fray, to do everything she can to help those in need.

    History:
    Born within a small town named Xucheng, in Mistrel, Feng Hua was the fourth of six siblings, placing little expectations on her as one of the middle siblings. That's not to mean she was ignored in her family, as everyone had their own time, it was more free feeling, as Fang Hua could live how she desired, in her case, she desired to be a fighter, protecting her siblings from what harm may come, and, to bring justice to those whom earned said condemnation. (There is more, however, I would rather explain in character~ ♥)

Aurelian is a rather average individual, he stands at about 5'10 with a fairly lean body. He has shorter black hair and golden eyes, matching his aura.

History -
Aurelian was born and raised in a rural village in Vale, just east of the Capital. He was born to a family of hunters, not of the Grimm kind but of game animals. The village was nestled at the base of a mountain range and was surrounded by a thick forest that was rich in animals. Aurelian was the youngest of two brothers, and ever since they were young they were taught the family trade. They were taught how to safely use a gun, how to track animals, and how to move about the forest. One of the most important things they were taught about Grimm and how to handle them, most importantly how to get away from them, as their father would say, "We hunt the animals, and the Grimm hunt us". Being in such a rural and remote town the threat of Grimm was always present. The boys were even taught about aura to an extent a practice started by their great-grandfather, a huntsman who retired here ages ago. The amount of aura varies between family members though they were not on the scale of a huntsman in training, though in some cases they could also unlock their semblance (Seeing as it's a passive one) like Aurelian. The heightened senses given to them by their semblance was perfect for tracking prey, or knowing when something was stalking them.

Out of the two brothers, Aurelian was the only one to unlock his aura and they were soon off to hunt on their own. There would be times where they ran into Grimm, mostly Beowolfs and Ursas but luckily they were able to get away thanks to their training. Though their luck would soon run out, on a hunt like any other disaster would strike the brothers. The two were separated, scoping out the land after they discovered some tracks they weren't too far away from each other about shouting distance (though they kept quiet to not scare away their prey). Aurelian was the first to notice something was wrong thanks to his Semblance, something was following them. It wasn't the first time this had happened, and he moved to warn his brother but the beast pounced first. He could hear it moving quickly through the brush, but it wasn't going after him, Aurelian yelled out a warning to his sibling, but he replied with the sound of a gunshot and a bloodcurdling scream. When Aurelian arrived at the scene there wasn't much left of his brother, and what was standing above it was a Beowolf. Enraged he lifted his rifle and fired at the beast, striking it in the jaw, and he fired again and again until he ran out of ammo and the Grimm's body started to disintegrate. It was the first time Aurelian killed a Grimm, let alone attack one and he was lucky it was distracted by his brother. Still, even with the beast dead, the anger didn't quell for Aurelian he wouldn't be satisfied until all of those monsters were dead. So that's when he decided to become a Huntsman not for helping and saving others, but for revenge.

Personality -
Aurelian is a very calm and collected individual, in most cases, he can keep his cool under pressure and intense situations. He's no stranger to near-death situations, given his life outside of a major city. Being a hunter Aurelian is patient, he could sit in one spot for hours just for a chance at spotting his prey. on top of that, he's also a quick thinker, being able to react quickly to a given situation and formulate a plan, usually an escape route when attacked. Aurelian is also a pretty quiet individual, though he has no problem interacting with others it's just a habit of being in the wilds and not scaring off prey, a lot of the time he uses small gestures such as pointing or motioning someone over. He can also be quite stubborn with technology, growing up in the sticks he didn't have access to all of the shiny things found in civilization. And as somewhat mentioned in his history Aurelian has a deep hatred for Grimm, it's the leading reason being his drive to become a huntsman though he keeps it hidden from others. While he will save others like a good huntsman his main goal is to kill as many Grimm as humanly possible.

Aurelian's semblance passively heightens his own natural senses, that being sight, hearing, touching, smell, taste, and his reflexes to an extent. The amount varies from each one:
Eyesight ~ Sharper image, able to see small details easier. Able to notice very small movement in his peripheral vision. When focusing he can see slightly farther. More sensitive to bright lights, and focusing for too long strains his eyes.
Hearing ~ Ability to hear a wider range of frequency as well as easily discerning where a sound is coming from. Susceptible to loud noises.
Touch ~ Not much is improved, it's easier for him to notice if something is touching him or not.
Smell ~ Able to discern smells, though it isn't powerful enough to track anything. Like touch, this is only slightly improved.
Taste ~ Like the last two it is only slightly improved makes eating spicy food a bitch. Though it might help to taste poison it doesn't help to deal with it.
Ranged -
Aurelian excels and mid-ranged combat, firing at opponents from a safe distance while being close enough to get a good shot. He mainly focuses on vital areas such as the head and heart though he will strike legs and arms to immobilize an opponent. While Aurelian is capable of close-quarters combat it is not his forte.

Accurate ~ Having been raised with a rifle in his hands Aurelian is highly capable and very accurate.
Survivability ~ Aurelian is very knowledgable of the flora and fauna of Vale, and has the skills and knowledge to survive out in the wilderness.
Perception ~ Thanks to his Semblance Aurelian is hyper-aware of his surroundings, making it harder for anything to sneak up on him.
Tracking ~ Aurelian is skilled at tracking creatures or people, mostly by finding tracks or other indicators in the wild.
Sneaky ~ Being a hunter Aurelian can easily hide his presence or sneak around without being detected.

Weaknesses -
Close ranged combat ~ Seeing as he was primarily trained with a gun, Aurelian has trouble when an enemy closes the gap.
Moving ~ Aurelian's accuracy drops significantly when he's moving.
Aura Knowledge ~ While his aura has been unlocked for a while he hasn't been taught how to use it correctly (Other than his semblance).
Overloading senses ~ Aurelian's semblance can be used against him through bright lights, loud noises, and intense smells. Possibly leaving him vulnerable for some time.
Bad with technology ~ Seeing as he's from the sticks Aurelian has trouble understanding and using technology.
Basic weapons ~ Aurelian's two weapons are rather mundane, lacking any sort of dust enhancements they pack a significantly smaller punch than others.

Old reliable and a shortsword

Seeing as Aurelian comes from a modest family who couldn't afford a fancy weapon (Plus he lacks the knowledge on creating one) he uses his old rifle and a sword they found lying around in the village. They aren't pretty, but they'll get the job done until he can find or create something better.

Primary Form -
Old reliable is a basic bolt action hunting rifle that Auerlians has been using for years. It's a single-shot rifle where every bullet must be inserted after every shot, it lacks a scope but the iron sights work just fine. It might not pack a punch but Aurelian is very competent when using it.

Along with Old reliable Aurelian has a simple iron shortsword just in case anything gets close. It can quite troublesome switching between the two, it's hard to use a sword when you have a rifle slung around your shoulder, so Aurelian usually discards old reliable when going into close quarters.

Jekyll and Hyde: Gran’s semblance allows him to split his personality into two pieces, which he refers to as the aforenamed Jekyll and Hyde. Effectively, they are two specializations. Jekyll is Gran’s “Good”, the greater part of his intellect, kindness, strategy, so on. Hyde is Gran’s “Evil”, more combat oriented, thrives on negative emotions like a Grimm and isn’t a particularly friendly individual to most, quite sadistic, actually. They’re treated as separate personalities, with Hyde being the one most commonly used over Jekyll when Gran activates his Semblance
Gran is a Fighter with many qualities of a Ranged hunter, using speed and reflexes to handle opponents with more focused strikes, and acrobatics to make himself hard to hit .

Long-Range Combat
Weapon Name: Bleeding Maelstrom
Primary Form: The primary form of Gran’s weapon is that of a large spear. The head of the spear is long like a sword, and at the butt of the weapon is an opening clamp. Out of that clamp a bladed chain can be fired to attack and bring close enemies at a distance. Both the blade and the chain can be used with Dust.
Secondary Form: For the secondary form of Bleeding Maelstrom, the spear’s shaft, blade, and clamp split down the middle. The clamp folds up, halving the length of the handle, and the blade turns, while the chain continues to connect the two halves. It is now a matched pair of chain scythes.
“Sheathed” Form: The “Sheathed” form of Bleeding Maelstrom is very similar to the primary form, however the blade splits once again and sinks down the haft to butt against the clamp, making the whole thing shrink down well enough to take up little space outside of Gran’s back where it is stored.

    Personality:
    Easygoing and chipper, Fang Hua seems to get along with most people around her, due in part she tries so hard to see the best in everyone. That's not to say she's trusting, as, Fang Hua tends to keep most people at arm's length, not allowing people to become too close. The reason, is why they are here, to become huntsmen and huntresses, a dangerous job that could see many killed, injured, and missing. To lessen the pain of that knowledge, Fang Hua gives into the fear, and tries her best not to get too attached to everyone, as a way to preserve herself from the self-destructive thoughts she's harboured. Masking this under her smile and cheer, it looks as if she has little care in the simpler things in life.

    However, come time for a fight, Fang Hua's demeanor changes, the smile fades, and stone cold determination sets in. Her eyes become passionate and still, while she still keeps her easygoing attitude within, allowing her to communicate with those around her, one thing sets in at the forefront of her mind, the fight.     Born within a small town named Xucheng, in Mistrel, Feng Hua was the fourth of six siblings, placing little expectations on her as one of the middle siblings. That's not to mean she was ignored in her family, as everyone had their own time, it was more free feeling, as Fang Hua could live how she desired, in her case, she desired to be a fighter, protecting her siblings from what harm may come, and, to bring justice to those whom earned said condemnation. (There is more, however, I would rather explain in character~ ♥)





Her semblance is going to be too problematic for me to approve as I can't imagine a semblance that forces others to get hurt is going to go down well. I'd also prefer not to have cannons ontop of submachine guns.

The cannons were a jest (I plan to keep it as the SMG types), as for her semblance, I'll go with the other option then~

History:

Haruna Yamashita is a descendant of the notable Yamashita family in Mistral (owners of the Yamashita Heavy Industries Corporation), albeit a branch that has been disowned by the clan elders. Due to this rift, her family has very little status in Mistral, a situation she would like to remedy by becoming well-known enough through hunting to bring her side of the family back into respectability. As part of this effort, she has spent several years researching just how her ancestors ended up on the wrong side of the clan, and found that much of it had to do with the mainline Yamashitas aggressively discrediting a claim that one particular direct ancestor of hers, the one responsible for splitting off in fact, was able to become a legitimate hunter without having to rely on the family's massive resources. As such, Haruna has constructed a replica of the original weapon her ancestor brought to Beacon so many years ago, and now enrolls in the modern Beacon Academy to prove that her ancestor didn't just fake her way through becoming a huntress.

Personality:

If any word can be used to describe Haruna, it's determined. Again, being a member of the massively slandered branch of an otherwise highly-respected (and very powerful) family has led to no small amount of derision cast towards her in her time in basic combat school, but she knows better than to accept the words thrown at her at anything even approaching face value. As such she is determined to not only make her way through Beacon, but to do so in way to make sure no one in the future could ever discredit the name Yamashita, no matter what their lineage.

When the going gets tough and the stakes are high, Haruna calls upon her Semblance to supercharge her speed and reflexes, slowing her perception of time to a crawl and allowing her to pull off otherwise impossible tasks. Finishing a test in record time, deflecting a burst of bullets in midair, or evading a Grimm's strike at point-blank range while plunging her sword hilt deep into one of its weak points are all tasks that are well within her purview when she Focuses, and only the future will tell what other feats she pulls off with her firey determination to succeed.

Combat Style: Fast and Furious DPS

Haruna's fighting style is very straight forward, preferring to get straight to the crux of the matter. At range she will generally administer salvos of shots from Kofude's rifle form, and if the enemy closes distance, she will switch to its blade form and charge into melee. She utilizes her speed and fighting skill to administer a relentless assault upon her foes no matter what the circumstance, stopping her efforts only when the job is complete.

Weapon Name: Modular Adaptive Ballistic Blade Replica - "Kofude" - A copy of a combination sword/rifle from many years ago, Kofude exists currently in the initially incomplete state that Haruna's ancestor had it in at the beginning of her own time at Beacon, limited by how few engineering resources she was able to scrounge up from her family's archives. Cartridges are carried in an internal, fixed capsule magazine that wraps about the receiver of the rifle, loaded via a hinging port on the right hand side, and fed one by one into the chamber via a conventional bolt action. Like many other dust-based weapons, Kofude will accept elemental based rounds to confer different effects upon the projectiles heading down stream; thanks to a presence of a magazine disconnect, switching to a particular round can be done as quickly as the next shot. When the situation calls for melee combat, the grip and stock straighten out, the forearm slides back into a hilt, and a single-edged blade telescopes around the barrel, forming what is best described as a "rough approximation of a katana". The rifle part of the weapon can still be fired and reloaded in this mode, albeit with far less controllable recoil.

Pharos primary combat school was surprisingly easy for someone who never trained, but it let him discover interesting applications for what was once thought to be a simple utility semblance. He balanced combat school with learning more about the fine arts, honing his talent for dance into a skill he could incorporate in both combat and everyday life. Graduating Pharos Violette applied for Beacon and unsurprisingly was accepted, packing his bags for what he hoped to be an interesting time he could breeze through doing the bare minimum.

Violette is a charismatic social butterfly that thrives in nearly any social situation. Sensitive to people's hidden emotions and an eye for small details, Violette can easily sway the toughest crowds and manipulate people towards seeing things his way or doing what he wants. That isn't to say he's always charismatic however, for Violette tends to not put much effort in and assumes it'll just work out. Violette has never been told 'no'; He's spoiled, and likes to say and do what he wants despite any presented consequences or orders given. If you pointed a gun to his head and told him to jump, he'd put his headphones in and sit down. Spontaneous and oblivious to decorum, he'll say what he wants at the time and laugh at your reaction all the while.

Mischievous and sometimes a bully, Violette likes to add fun to things by making fun of people and playing harmless pranks on any he finds interesting. Violette's style is that of a fencer, overwhelming the enemy with elegant and precise stabs, parrying and dancing around any attacks coming his way. His style thrives in the close range, with quick attacks to keep his opponent backpedaling and trickery to keep them out of their element. Occasionally when he feels the need to switch up the tempo, Violette erratically mixes in blasts of his powerful shotgun or some sort of trick to misdirect and confuse the opposition.

Final Form - the blade of Violette's rapier extends and segments becoming a razor sharp chain of individual blades, like a metal whip.

Semblance - "By Royal Decree!" Violette's semblance allows him to not only gain an insight and read the thoughts, emotions, and body movement of people and animals; it allows him to suggest changes. With verbal language or eye contact, Violette can attempt to get you to do anything from feel happy or scared to missing an attack on purpose or hitting someone else. Various factors play in his ability to suggest things; such as mental integrity, degree of suggestion, current emotion, distance, and health.

While at first Violette first thought this to only be useful in social situations, he has since developed a method not using it in combat as well, such as mimicking the words and actions of another to throw them off and open them to more mind tricks. He's not perfect at using his semblance, as sometimes he'll mix up who's thought is who and becoming confused, or In a group that he becomes fatigued.

Overwhelming your opponent with speed and acrobatically weaving around aside, Violette's goal is to get in your head. His semblance revolves around such, so he wants to get you riled up and everything that goes along with you not fighting the way you want to. He'll say what you're thinking, use misdirection, copy your movements exactly, lie, bully, and much more all to get in your head and start manipulating you to literally do and think how he wants.]/SPOILER]

I'm mostly worried about his semblance being too close to mind control, I'm not a fan of any power that controls other RPers or characters.

Looking at it myself, it doesn't seem any different from Qrow's bad luck or Ren's emotion negation. It's definitely got an active effect on other characters, but it's based on persuasion. An ability that allows once person to have a degree of influence/serious persuasion power over others has many RP opportunities

That's fair, my goal wasn't mind control but rather a utility/social semblance that's basically social and mental persuasion. If it's a problem I'll change it now.

Yeah sorta the attempt I went for, a semblance made to persuade people In various ways.
 
I think it crosses a line when a power implies that someone else has to give some amount of control over their writing to another person or even just control of their character, even to debatable extents.

It's one thing when your character responds to something because of the situation, like them deciding to have to fight another person or get hurt by an attack but when your character's own decisions or emotions aren't their own, I think that's bad design.

The very last time I allowed any kind of power that influences or controls over I had two people get into an argument with the person who had the power annoying the other person until they left the RP and then being forced to later on kick that person for derailing the RP, so while I don't think that will occur, I just have since decided to never allow a power like that
