Fandom RWBY: Adventures in Vale [No Longer Accepting]

Nyx had been nodding along to whatever Ivory said in agreement. "Yeah, Aqua, I'm not usually the one to talk when I say this, but be more civilized, damnit. People don't just give concussions and break hands for no reason." She angrily uses her semblance to travel back to her seat. This is not how Nyx wanted team HANI to start out. She hadn't even expected this as an outcome. Maybe it'll work itself out, but shit, this is a deep hole Aqua-Marie dug them in.

"Oh I hope none of the professors know about this..." Hazel said nervously.

"Don't worry I'm sure we won't get into any trouble..." Aqua-Marie said reassuringly.

"Ms. Hicklebottom!" cried out a voice that may belong to Ms. Glinda Goodwitch.

Aqua's face changed from a positive optimistic face to that of despair.

"I'm not bailing you out again..."

"It was up north, crazy weather is the norm up there." Beo said as the water came to a boil, "Actually grew to like it after I got grom, but that's not the point. I think its gravity because I've seen it in action." She sighed and poured about half the large pot into two glasses then put it back on the fire. Pursing her lips, she covered the two glasses with stones and put the pot back on the fire after filling it with a bag of oats and some dried raisins and berries. Then she jumped to her feet and scrambled over to the grove of pine trees near the cliffs. Grabbing some needles and sage. She came back and stirred the pot then dropped the pine needles and sage into the glasses to seep. They emitted a heady, steamy scent that Beo inhaled gladly. Sage and Pine needle tea was always nice after a work out and was good for the soul, or at least that's what her mum always used to say. "any revelations?" She asked the meditating boy quietly.
WarZii did not reply to Beo. A low humming Z noise was coming from his throat. A stream of drool was creeping down his mouth. WarZii had successfully fallen asleep during his meditation session. Meditating wasn't something he did normally. The smell of food woke him up, "Uh... revelation? Not that I noticed. I"m not sure this meditation thing is going to work."

Lazuli

"Nope!" Lazuli chimed. "Can't believe anything that comes out of a face like that. Maybe if you were pretty . . . " She brought her hand to her chin, as if pondering something before looking back at Hazel and letting out a poorly stifled laugh, as if she was mocking Hazel. She took another look at her scroll, playing the footage she had gotten over and over again. She smiled, looking at what a nice angle she had gotten of the fight, if you could even caall it that. Lazuli pressed a few buttons. "Save and send."

Lazuli glanced at all the people that had come to their table with a smile. The air around her practically sparkling. "We're so popular, aren't we?" she beamed toward Teal. "First day and we've already made so many friends. It'd be nice if they had some remnant of a brain but beggars can't be choosers." Knowing him, or what she thought she knew of him, all this would probably be very uncomfortable for him. Which was a plus for her. This morning was proving to be quite entertaining. She got to see two fights, record one and she got bacon.

"Whelp, I'm full," she declared, swinging her feet out from under the table. "I wanna get to class early. Get a seat with the perfect angle to throw stuff at people and all." She then hopped onto her feet and practically skipped out of the cafeteria.
"Aura amplification. That's the name of my game." Saffron explained, "Anything that your Aura does for you I can make it do better. I make you stronger, faster, and tougher. I even make your Semblance more powerful. I can also use it on myself, but there are special rules for that. I'm not going to say to much about it, don't want to spoil the suprise."
"What about you?" He asked, "What kind of power do you have?"
"I shoot green crap outta my hand and kill shit." he said "Killed one of those big snake ones, isn't that right Hansi?" he asked.

  • "Yeah, he did kinda save me from a King Taijutu. I have like, a crippling fear of giant two headed snakes. Who would thunk right?" She laughed lightly, although she was a little miffed at Herb for bringing it up. Her fear of the snake Grimm was a rather personal thing, and she didn't like dwelling on it.

"But, I'm sorry about the Wolf Tribe. The Grimm can do terrifying things. I uh. I hope you can learn something to help your people." She was a little bit taken aback by him revealing something so personal so easily, but maybe it wasn't as personal to him? The wolf tribe might have known his people, but they were not directly his people. Perhaps his sense of duty kept him light about the whole thing? Or maybe he was just that kind of person.

She then saw an opportunity to regain her independence from Saffron's arms. "But, ya know. My semblance is kind of great too. You see, I can influence the power of various forces on my body, so say, if I like, injured my leg or something random like that, I could decrease gravity's effect on my body, enabling me to walk without putting too much weight on it and stuff. So that I could still walk. By myself. And not be carried."

As lunch wound down the next few hours seemed like a blur, the actions of Aqua led to the entirety of Team HANI having to join Team CRKM in the task of fully repairing the lunch room after Team CRKM's altercation. Supervised by a miffed Ms. Goodwitch, the two teams would spend the better half of the day not only fixing the place, but improving upon it with constant additions the teacher gave them. And of course, it didn't even excuse them from the assignments from every single class they missed due to their punishment. And so those two teams would start their time in Beacon behind everyone else lesson wise.

In other news, Teams BLWM, HAWT and MSMA found themselves put through the beginning of their lessons along with the rest of the students. Being such an esteemed school, many students had dared to assume they'd be prepared for the amount of work they'd have to do.

Many were not.

Aside from that, the next few days went on as to be expected. For the rest of the week the students would settle into the routine of Beacon's lessons, and many students were thrilled to be approaching the weekend. They teachers stressed that the students wouldn't get every weekend off, what with several being reserved for academic school trips or missions, but this one would be given to the students since it was their first week attending the academy.

And as the sun rose, a large portion of students immediately began heading into Vale.

The first weekend had arrived.

"Do you not see what we have to go through now, Aqua-Marie? We're behind our studies because you can't help but flirt with the Camera girl while your teammates do all the work!" Hazel Snapped at Aqua.

"What, I can't help myself around a pretty face." Aqua shrugged

Hazel could not help but shake her head.

WarZii woke up to a loud thud and a knot on his head. He had been floating in his sleep again. His daily training was Beo was paying off in unexpected ways. He stood up and began to stretch. His black compression shorts with red stripes down the side were comfortably snug against him. "Ugh, maybe I should start tying myself to the bed.. That's the third time this week." He looked at his messy bed with homework assignments stuffed between the mattress and box spring.

  • She was all stretched out, preparing for her showcase. Her hand was finally fully healed, and she was ready. She'd been practicing every minute of her free time, and it all came down to this. Her Vale debut. This showcase would determine how every dance scout, instructor, and recruiter saw her for the entirety of her career.

She stepped to the center of the stage, stood in first position and curtsied "Hansi Kharaba, 15 years old, from Mantle. Today I will be doing a Ribbon Dance."

And she began to dance. As the music filled her, she felt it all melt away. The stress of the week, the pain and soreness in her body from her work as a huntress, the bruises from Lazulii throwing Dwayne at her. She let it all fall away as the music moved, letting it fly away from the ends of her ribbons as she moved, free at last.

If any of her new friends at Beacon had watched her in that moment, they would not have recognized her. At school, she was gangly and insecure, unsure of where she belonged and desperate to eek out a place. Here, she was confident, she was her own person. The stage was hers and she belonged to the stage. This was where she belonged.

As the music wound to a close, she bowed low to the crowd. "Thank you for your time." She then walked off the stage.

After his thirty minute morning exercise WarZii showered then put on his casual clothes, his sleeveless vest hoodie and a pair of black and red tripp pants. His first weekend at his new school, what is a hero to do. Serve as hall monitor? Nah, there wouldn't be anyone around to correct on the weekend. With that thought in mind He decided to take a trip to Vale. He was running low on dust for Storm Charger and now is as good a time as any to load up on the stuff.

The sweat rolls off of Argen's body as he finishes his rigorous training outside of the academy. It was a nice quiet place that few visited and he could do his daily training with minimal interruptions. Argen had taken off the top part of his uniform to avoid getting it damp with sweat and blood. His final exercise involved him activating his semblance and attacking a solid concrete wall full force with only his flesh. It was a form of spartan training he created to not only train his semblance but the pain tolerance of his body as well.

Sometimes small disturbances like Hansi or Saffron would come down to this area just to play or generally bother Argen. While it was quite bothersome at times, Argen found himself enjoying their company. He had hear Hansi was actually taking some kind of dancing debut and he sincerely wished her luck.

The knight breathes in deep and evenly as he training comes to an end. The weekend for the students had arrived but Argen not only didn't have family to visit nor friends to write to, he also didn't have many people he could call "Friends" If any. He mainly kept to himself as always and continued training and conditioning his body.

Teal during the whole fight did what he did best and sat back and watched the whole time. He really did not care to fight and while everyone was fighting including Lazuli he actually ate behind their back and no one ever saw because he made sure to calculate when they would try to look, what a creepy guy. He just kinda took it all in, he never really got a word in, it went to fast and he was honestly busy eating and scanning them, if he intervened it would have gotten a lot....more....violent. He was taught to take out anyone who compromised his mission. Yeah getting used to school would take so long for him. Once everyone left he was left sitting there staring at an empty plate. He got up and stared down at his feet, for a moment he took his gloves off and put them away he sighed and closed his eyes taking a deep breath when he opened again he was in grass, rain pouring down, a lightning strike and a flash of light revealed a bloody body, Teal covered in blood, he looked to his hands smothered in the crimson liquid and for a moment he felt at home. But he snapped out of it when one of the custodians grabbed his shoulder.

Throughout the week Teal would eat before anyone woke up and then just sat with them letting them get to know each other, he idly listened and never said much about himself. And every night he would leave out the window, maybe to train, to talk to contacts whose names were encrypted by him...he hid a lot of his life. And most of the week not spent in the classroom he disappeared and went to train alone. It was just how he worked. He would leave and then come back late at night when no one was awake then wake before anyone else did.

And now it was the weekend and they were in their room debating on what to do and yet again, Teal was not there. He was outside the window sitting down staring off into the distance, but he honestly would not be a good person to ask what to do, he rarely ever did anything fun and he did not know half the stuff anyway. Every once and a while he would check his scroll and then send a message to two main people that he messaged a lot named Scorpio and Tarantula in his phone, encrypted as always but they seemed to be good friends of his. But right now he was chilling alone.

Beo slept in, it was the weekend after all what else was she going to do? Then after the third time she opened her eyes, she decided it was time to get herself up. She stood and yawned ten took a overly-long shower to wake herself up and poured herself a mug of tea from the pot in the common room She sleepily walked back to the room sipping the tea and changed quickly, only to jump right back in bed with a leather bound book. She read a bit then noticed her other team members. Well it is nearly 8, am she supposed. She quietly read and listened as her team woke up until Mel started talking to Lilith, "What do you need help with?" She asked Mel, hoping to be useful.

Come on, Mel you can do this!

Mel doesn't notice Beo standing behind her listening in.

"Please help!" Mel pleaded to Lilith.

Lilith looked up from her homework and glanced back and forth between Mel and Beo. "Hello, Beo." She said quickly, glad that she had an excuse to dodge the question for the umpteenth time that week. She still hadn't given Mel an answer, mainly because she wasn't sure what she was going to do. Adding the finishing touches to her essay on the Application of Dust in Warfare, Lilith slipped the several pages into a plain, orderly binder. She then grabbed her Scroll and pulled up the news.

"... we've asked their opinion on the matter, but the Schnee Dust Company still refuses to make any comments." Vicky Vale's voice could be heard coming from the device in Lilith's hands. "On the topic of the Schnee Dust Company, nearly a month has passed since the death of their Chief Technology Officer Basil Easton and the police have yet to apprehend his killer, the Cheshire. It is believed that the enigmatic assassin has already left the kingdom, but authorities still remain cautious. More on this at nine. Now on to the weather..."

Saffron lay propped up on his bed, shirtless as he usually was in this room. His homework that he yet to even touch lay jumbled at the foot of his bed. He had all weekend to do it, there was no reason to do it now. Even if he was completely bored. Hansi was off in town at a dance recital so he couldn't fool around with her. Argen was off training again, not that his presence would have made things less dull. The dude was stiff as a board. Saffron just couldn't figure the guy out, and even though it was kind of fun trying to get the guy to loosen up, he just didn't feel like bothering with it today.

"Alright boys," Saffron announced to the room, "I'm officially bored. Is there anything you guys want to go do?"

  • She was sitting in a cafe in Vale, drinking a cup of tea and eating the most sugary cake her money could buy. She liked to treat herself after a good performance, and now was no exception. She wouldn't hear back from the judges until that evening, and all she could do until then was wait and panic. And stuff herself with empty calories.

The news blared dully in the background, something about some runaway assassin. It might have been interesting, if not for the vary nature of the news to make things not interesting. She had heard rumors of some underground party happening in the city that night, and a few guys had given her a poorly made flyer, promising her a 'good time.' Hansi was not interested in any good time 3 sleazy guys wanted to give her, but she was amused by the idea.

Between bites of her decadant cake, she sent a message to each of the members of Team HAWT and what other friends she had. She didn't want to waste the time going back to campus, since she had to be present to get her judging results, bu if they decided they wanted to come to the city that night, she wanted to know, so she settled for tapping out short messages on her scroll.

To Data(<3.<3) : Heyo! Plans 2nite? Stuck in the city, so if u want anything, hmu and I'll grab it.

To Chottee Don(skullKing): Yo! There's some crazy party downtown 2nite, and you know how people get at parties. Just giving my fave prankster a head up if she wants to come down and ruin some1s nite! (<3)

To Pretty Boy(xnx): Dance thing went well, bored out of my mind in the city. Plans today? I'm stuck until I get my results tonight.

She even poked one out to Argen and Saffron, she was that bored. She had already picked up a bad habit of flirting with the entirety of team MSMA, but Argen and Saffron were by far her favourites.

To Shining Armor: Hey hot stuff! Figure you might want to know my showcase went amazing, and that I all it all to my adoring fans like you. I know you won't read this til after you finish training but love and kisses anyways to my biggest fan! (<3)(:*)

To Prince Charming: Hello, gorgeous! Is your team (with the exception of A, who is probably halfway done with his day) doing anything today? If not, come rescue me in town from this boredom like a proper prince. (OUO)(<3) I don't get my results until tonight, so no point in going back.

She waited for responses, decided to grab a biscotti to go and explore the little city. Maybe she'd find something fun.

Herb halted his maniacal pacing when he saw the message on his scroll. "Finally!" he yelled.

To My Fave Ophidiophobe: Yeah, sure what kinda shit do you wanna do? We could catch a movie, maybe visit some guys I know. I'm currently also bored outta my mind. It appears the WT in HAWT aren't that interesting when it comes to parties and shit.

"Actually I already had the showcase finished on the day the assignment was given," Hazel said as she gave Ivory the presentation.

The presentation was very formal and professional, the only downside is that it only details the Advantages of Hazel's weapon, "Terra Ryzing" and the disadvantages of Ivory's weapon.

"I say I've out done myself with this... surely this would be enough to regain any reputation lost because of our dear Casanova's stunt."

"What?! I can't help myself around her! She's almost as hot as me!" Aqua-Marie cried out.

VALE...

Three figures walked past a torn up store with police tape covering it, several officers looking over the wrecked building. Maroon, Amber and Citrine each gave their own passing glances upon seeing the sight, with Amber and Citrine both photographing the place as they walked.

Maroon wore a black shirt besides his signature jacket, besides that everything looked the same as his Hunstman attire. Citrine herself had traded in her Huntress uniform for a pair of long golden colored slacks and high heels. Her usual top replaced with a dress shirt and tie. Amber's attire barely looked different from what she usually wore, the only difference being she didn't have that brown coat draped on her frame as she usually did.

"What do you zink was ze cause of zis terrible sight?" Citrine asked, idly capturing the image of the busted business with her camera

"Who cares? Its not our problem." Maroon grumbled as he sped up

"Awe, come now Maro." Citrine cooed as she pulled her camera away from her face and patted the white-haired boy on the head condescendingly "As a Huntsman in training you should try feeling a bit of sympathy for your fellow people."

Maroon just rolled his eyes and chuckled dismissively at the thought.

The three continued walking through the city for a while, passing by several other shops that seemed to have been hit with police surveying them. This peaked Citrine's interest, but the photographer decided to bring it up with her team when it was fully assembled. Speaking of which...

"So why was it zat your sister couldn't come exactly?" Citrine finally asked

Maroon just turned back to look at her, then cracked a smile.

"What do you mean you won't help me!?!" Russette cried out

"Sorry sis," Maroon said as he straightened his shirt "sometimes in life you just need to overcome these obstacles on your own."

"B-but bro!"

"No buts, the rest of us were able to catch up on the given assignments and we'll be taking this trip to the city as our reward." he stated with a hint of self-satisfaction "You on the other hand..."

Russette whimpered a bit, the Faunus was literally surrounded in textbooks and paper "This isn't fair." She struggled not to cry as Maroon made for the door

"Life's not fair." He stated as he left to meet up with the rest of his team

The Present....

"She said she wanted to try and fit some more work time in," he said with mock pride "said she was feeling a bit guilty since she did do the most structural damage to the Cafeteria."

Whether she bought it or not, Citrine took the answer.

After several more streets of wandering and passing by more assaulted businesses, the three team party turned another corner only to run into a familiar student.

"Ah! Hansi was it?" Citrine said as she rubbed her chin and ran her eyes up and down the girl before them "What a lovely run in!"

Though Amber just silently photographed her as Citrine talked, Maroon took one look at her before folding his arms and taking interest in another assaulted business across the street. Taking note of the extent of the damage, Maroon kept himself silent as Citrine continued.

"Several of my dear fans have told me of your showcase zis morning." Citrine continued "How has zat gone for you, Fraulein?"

(@The Succubi Queen )

  • To Pretty Boy: Well, don't just ditch them, we've done that enough this week. I don't even know, I was thinking about grabbing a new skirt, since my 5th favourite one got torn to shreds last week

She looked up as someone spoke to her. It was Citrine, the leader of team CKRM. She'd seen them around school, but she hadn't really spoken to them yet. "Oh, yeah, it went great." She ran a hand through her hair, trying to sound as confident as she had been on the stage. "I'm a natural born star, ya know? I rock the stage like you rock that camera! Now I just have to like, wait for them to declare me the best dancer in Vale on top of Mantle, and I'll be set for life or something..." she looked at the destroyed building before them

"What happened here?" she gestured at the building. "Or, uh, is this one of those 'hush hush pretend it isn't there' things?" She asked Maroon. She had a feeling he would be honest with her. It had only been a week, but the guys direct nature already had a reputation.

In the back of her mind, she vaguely remembered Aqua having mentioned a date with Citrine, and seeing the photographer now made her internally giggle at the violent girls mistake.
