Mel continued to list down her achievements.

"Oh.. thanks." Sapphire said, taking the granola bar from the girl. In all honesty, she had never had anything of the sort before, due to the fact that she grew up fending for herself. She unwrapped it and took a hesitant bite, her sharp canines sinking into the granola with ease. It didn't taste half bad, and in a matter of seconds Sapphire had finished it. She crumbled up the wrapper and stuffed it into her pocket before folding up her weapon to it's neutral position and sheathing it by her side. At that point she was much more calm and collected, and she was no longer in her confused daze. Awkwardly, Sapphire gave a small smile, revealing her abnormally large canines for a second before sealing her lips together. Things would slowly decrease into another awkward situation.

"Don't worry, stick by me and you'll get the hang of it in no time!" Mel said.

Mel continued to list down her achievements.

"Thanks!" she said happily. Although Oak was constantly happy she was even more so now that she had made a new friend. Its not every day that people come up to her and people are actually friendly. she continued to look out the window and point out all the dragon and non dragon shaped clouds. She still wondered about whoever set off that explosion.

She flashed her signature dazzling smile back. Now she was getting somewhere. "I'm Hansi, first year, Pendulum Blades, dancer extraordinare, and no, I am not from around here." She let out a small giggle "And you are?" She directed the question at both girls in front of her.

Nervously, her ear twitched once more, as if it were batting away a fly. She cursed to herself, tired of her stupid ears having almost a mind of their own.

WarZii stood over Mel's luggage, like a guard dog, as the girls interacted with each other. "Ah, youth is a wonderful thing not to be wasted." he said to himself. WarZii took a good look at all the students on the ship. When the explosion happened WarZii started to make his way over to those who were caught in it, but he over heard a couple students making racial jokes about Faunas. Clearing his throat WarZii walked over to the pair, "Hey guys. Let me have a word with you." He grabbed the two by their ears and dragged them to the the boys bathroom with much resistance.


A couple minutes passed and WarZii stepped out of the bathroom with a bloodied nose and a swollen cheek. "Well... That should teach you guys about a little respect. The world has bigger problems than to put up with immaturity like that," he dusted his hands off as if he had just finished cleaning. "Would anyone on board happen to have a first-aid kit?" Without getting an immediate response WarZii walked back to Mel's luggage. He did promise he would help her out after all.

"So besides cloud watching any other hobbies?"


Mel said as she continued with her conversation.


Mel only made a quick pause to thank WarZii for keeping an eye on her luggage.

Hansi laughed, then grimaced. She hated her laugh. "Yeah, I'm from Mantle, and to be honest, Vale kinda seems like a different world, sometimes, ya know?" She smiled. "Ohkay, so shut me up if I'm being like, super offensive, but you're like, the first faunus I've ever spoken more that a sentence to, and the last time" She vaguely gestured at Oak and Mel "Didn't go too well, but like, the ear thing- do you control that? Or is it like blinking or something? Again, just slap me or something if that was racist or whatever."

Sapphire sighed ever so slightly when Hansi asked about her 'ear thing,' it wasn't that Hansi was doing anything wrong, it was just that she got that question so many times back at Signal. "I.. honestly don't know. I think it has something to do with emotions. Sometimes I can control it, like I can do this," Sapphire raised her ears and then flattened them against her head repeatedly, "But if I'm super scared, sad, or mad, they'll fold back on their own." She stopped moving her ears, allowing them to rest in an upright position before continuing, "And when I'm awkward or excited, they kind of twitch." The Faunus shrugged calmly, scratching behind her ear briefly before lowering her arm to her side.

"See, you could have just said you didn't want to tell me, but now I know all your ear secrets, hehehe!" She let out a fake evil laugh. "But seriously, that must be aaaaaawful. I'd just wear a cute hat or something all the time if my ears displayed my emotions." She paused for a second, realizing the connotation of her words. "I just realized that that was probably and even ruder thing to say than the initial question and I am so sorry, sometimes I start talking and don't know how to stop and I'll just. Shut up."





Oh god, what was she saying, how rude could she get, why was she saying these things? After a moments pause, Hansi stared at the floor. Back to awkward and shy for her, it seemed.

"Ooh," WarZii chuckled a bit embarassed, "Soo... What does it do? I have this Storm Charger." He took his large shield and sword from his back to show it off. "I designed it myself. It's like my baby. Perfect for slaying Grimm. It's a Charge blade."

"Sounds like a deal, then. And yeah.. I've tried beanies and I love them, it' just.. you can still see the shape of my ears through them. Trust me, if I had a good way to conceal my ears, I would be your human friend, and not your Faunus friend." Sapphire messed around with her weapon nervously, doing her best to keep her ears from twitching. Talking to people was one of her biggest weaknesses, but Sapphire figured the more people there were, the less she had to talk. "Uh.. hey, look at those people over there! They seem interesting!" "Also your weapon isn't really the norm which is great for Tournaments!" Mel said.

To Oak, Bloodthorne was her legendary weapon of power and she was the only one worthy of her. "Yeah pretty big fantasy" oak thought whilst staring longingly at Bloodthorne.

Sapphire walked over to Hansi and nudged her gently on the side. "Come on, let's go talk to people. I mean, this is a rare occasion for me, because talking isn't my thing." She chuckled slightly, before making her way over to the group in hopes that Hansi would follow. The Faunus caught sight of the weapons and grinned.


"Is this a weapon showcase? If so, let me enter in my beauty." It was obvious that Sapphire was in a better mood due to making her first official friend of the day. She pulled out Hyacintho Lamina in it's sword form and showed it to the group. "It's got four different modes, all that are super kick butt if I do say so myself." This really wasn't like Sapphire to be so cocky or to actually talk to people. Her ears flicked, this time it was completely involuntary and had nothing to do with her emotions.

Oracle watched the two interact, remaining silent. She sighed, wishing there was way to join into the conversation without seeming utterly awkward, but that seemed to be impossible. After they had finally stopped, she stepped in. "Alright, now that that's done, I'm Oracle." She bowed dramatically, her smile wide.
