"It was my only way to beat you in a fight, and nice shot. Now DUCK!" She cries, leaping over her to chop the three beowolves in half, as they resumed their race to the chasm. When they arrived, they skidded to a stop, before looking down.
"Well the fasted way down is to... JUMP!" Jade yells, leaping down.

"I WIN SAPH!"
Sapphire sighed, and stepped over the edge. When she came closer o the ground, she switched her weapon to it's dual sword form again and stabbed one into the side of the casm, slowing her descent. From then on, she pulled out her weapon and restabbed it into the rock, slowly climbing downwards. When she was about a foot off of the groun, Sapphire took hold of both of her swords, paced her feet on the side of the cliff and pushed, the swords came out of the rock, and she did a backflip landing perfectly onto the ground. (now we wait for the others as well as Grieve Writer to post exactly what the relics are. I kind of didn't want us to go this fast in the rp, sis. I like to take my time when it comes to these things.)

"Oh fuck...!" was all Herb yelled as he sailed over the trees of the emerald forest, while the feeling was the best adrenaline rush he'd felt in years, he realised he hadn't yet calculated a good landing strategy. He took Envy from its sheath and his brain began to scramble, trying to find a safe way to land without becoming a quadriplegic. The answer came when he saw a taller tree than the others, "And here, we, go!" He said with a smirk, at least trying to sound as badarse as he could to anyone who may or may not be in his vicinity. As the tree became closer and closer he swung his sword, attempting to hit the tree and hopefully stop his momentum. The maneuver was a success and Herb was now left dangling from a tree, until Envy broke loose, causing Herb to drop to a branch below, crushing both his testicles. "Motherf-!"

Lilith sat perched on a large branch, trying to catch her breath. She liked to think that she was the kind of person that was prepared for any situation, however she had most definitely not been expecting to be thrown off a cliff. Had she know she would have brought a parachute with her. Instead she had relied on her Semblance to get her safely to the tree tops, but such rapid teleportation over such a long distance had drained her.

After a few minutes when she was fully rested, Lilith hopped out of the tree, her coarse of action already planed before he feet had even hit the ground. It was simple. Get to the ruins, find a Relic, avoid all contact with other students. Simple. She didn't need a partner. She didn't need a team. She could do this all by herself.

A sudden gust of wind sent a small shiver down her spine. It took a second for her to realize that she had felt that breeze with her feline ears. Putting a hand on her head to figure out why, all she felt was her hair and the fur from her ears. 'Great. I must have lost my hat on the way down. All the more reason to avoid people. Don't want to run into any bigots.'

Beo looked around her, completely relaxed. Finally. No more awkward looking for conversation. She was in her element. Though last night had been rewarding, she liked this so much more. Her every sense was running overtime taking in everything. She memorized the directions and groomed as she saw how people were entering the forest she grinned. This was going to be fun.
Finally, it was her turn and she went down to all fours on the board and let it launch her through the sky like a pouncing cat. She enjoyed the feeling of flight for a moment then focused again. "Landing right. Ok." She muttered then focused on shaping her aura calling out,"Vetenici!" The wind totem formed and caught her in it's talons slowing her descent until she landed. The hawk dissapated sand she scrabbled into a tree to observe her surroundings. She closed her eyes and sniffed. All Faunus had enhanced senses of course but she had trained hers to a ridcoulas level. She didn't smell any Grimm near by but she did smell.... Mel? It was hard to tell because... Why was she wearing perfume? She did look like she was trying to impress someone this morning Beo reasoned. Either way, it'd be good to team with someone she alredy knew. So She started stealthily jumping from tree to tree, moving quickly but hardly making a sound over the sound of the breeze in the wind. Eventually she found the tree that Mel was standing under and landed silently in it. The girl was scouting the forest with binoculars and completely unaware of her surroundings. Beo sighed. She was going to have to work on that if they were going to be on a team. Work to do. She jumped down to the lower branches and twisted over them so she was hanging upside down behind her. Then she reached out and tapped Mel on the shoulder.

@theManCalledSting
Mel felt Beo's hand on her shoulder..

Mel was startled by this as she turned around with Jotunham in her hand....

"Oh sorry it's just you, Beo... I'm just a bit on edge... you know?" she said in a oddly refine manner

Mel realized that they've made eye-contact...

"So... I guess we're a team now... huh?"

Okay Mel, keep yourself calm... even if you're now on the same team as the hottest girl in Beacon... Keep calm and take things slow... you don't want to blow your only chance!

Now in a very refined and gentlemanly manner Mel stated, "I believe we must march on to where ever those relics are, my friend!"

((@Ian Temero you can have Lilith join up now))

Something fell on her. A human, to be precise.

"Ow, what the fu-?" No, don't open your eyes, no no no,

and she was locking eyes with a a blonde with bright green eyes.

"Uh.... no to be, like, totrally, rude, but uh.. who the heck are you?"
She looked up at the large handsome boy sitting atop her, he looked vaguely familia-

"OH! Pretty boy! From the train, with the really really ungodly amount of stuff!"

@Bullet Tooth Tony ((does that work?))

Well if she was surprised she didn't show it, which was probably a good sign. "Partner's it is!" Beo declared as she flipped down to mel's level then stood in front of the girl. Mel was slightly shorter than her, she noticed for the first time and definitly seemed a little to primped for hunting, Beo personally couldn't Imagine wearing anything like it, ever . It was cute though she admitted inwardly. But there were Grimms to kill, and that was more important right now, "Relics it is then!" She agreed, "You have any idea on where they could be?"

Mel used her binoculars... turned away from Beo to survey the surrounding area.

"A Part of the Reason why I brought these... and I rather not end up on a team with bigots..."

Keep it cool, Mel... don't freak out.

Mel was truthfully trying to hide her Blushing face from Beo.

((@theunderwolf I'm giving @Ian Temero an opening for Lilith to join us))

Lazuli

"Hello? Anyone out there wanna play?" Lazuli had been calling out randomly as she trekked through the forest to where she hoped to find the chasm, in hopes of roping a partner somewhere along the way. "I'm bored!" So far, she had been unsuccessful.

She let out a sigh, dragging her feet along the ground. She had no idea why doing that would help her meet people. She supposed making a shit ton of noise was a waste of t- Lazuli snapped to attention when she heard a rustle in the bushes nearby. "Hello? You my partner?" She inched her way toward the noise cautiously. Her hands reaching out to the foliage, almost touching the leaves, when they opened, revealing a couple of beowolves.

There was a bit of silence as both parties were staring each other down. Then Lazuli put up her hands and said, "Sorry guys. I'm flattered, really. But you're not my ty-Woah!" Lazuli jumped back as one of the grimm tried to claw through her torso. "Geez. Touchy much?"

The one who attacked her charged again, with Lazuli rolling to the side. The dust chamber on her bracer spun again as her fist began glowing a dark purple color. She slammed it into the beowolves abdomen, sending it flying back several feet. The other came this time and she delivered a few quick strikes to it as well. But before she could give it a final strike, the first came in through her blind spot and knocked her aside.

Lazuli grabed her stomach, fighting back the urge to throw up. That thing sure packed a punch. But she could as well. She switched dust. Both fists now glowing bright red. Hands up and close. Feet apart. Make sure your stance is steady. She stood there, waiting. Both came at her. She managed to duck beneath the first swing and hit the one in the back, a small scale explosion sending it onto its back as Lazuli kicked the first one to distance itself from them. She then delivered successive strikes to the one before her until long after it stopped moving.

From behind her, she could hear the growls of the first one and swiftly turned around to face it only to see the multiple pairs of glowing red eyes peering at her through the trees. "Shit." About 3 more emerged from the forest, She considered fighting but when an especially large one came, she instead made a run for it.

Over the hill and through the woods, to grandma's house she went. Lazuli sped through the trees, hoping to lose the grimm but that big one didn't let up. "No one likes clingy men!" she shouted over her shoulder. ***. ****. ****. What was she going to do?

Then she saw it. An oppurtunity. She saw someone else. A student. It was Suzy Sunshine from last night. As she got closer, she jumped onto his shoulders. "Tag! You're it!" she said, before vaulting off his shoulders and effectively pushing him into the direction of the beowolf before disappearing up a tree. He could handle himself. Maybe.

Irving stretched a bit and got ready for the platform to launch him.

"Alright. Let's do this."

Irving shot through the air like a human bullet. When the ground grew closer beneath him, he activated his shields and covered up his head.

Irving slammed directly into the ground, plowing a 20ft trench in the ground. Standing from the mound of dirt he'd created, Irving cracked his neck and brushed off his clothes as his aura glowed white, healing a few minor scrapes and bruises.

"Alright. I wonder where this chasm is."

Irving jogged off into the forest.

Lilith had realized very fairly quickly that traveling on the ground was a bad idea after having several near run-ins with Grimm. In an effort to avoid unnecessary fighting, the cat girl had switch to traveling through the trees, leaping from branch, blinking to the ones she couldn't quite reach. Several minutes of this went by when...

"Partners it is!"

'What!! How!! Who!!' In her panic, Lilith's foot missed the branch she was aiming for and she began to fall. She grabbed on to the next branch down and swung herself under and over, landing on top of it.

Who the hell had spotted her way up here? She looked around and spotted Mel and the girl from last night talking. Lilith let out a sigh of relief. So Mel had found a partner, and a nice one too it seemed. 'Good for her.' She thought, 'I should probably move one before they notice me and call me down.'

As she watched the two girls however, she began to wonder if that was really such a bad thing. Nearly running into a group of Ursa earlier had reminded Lilith just how dangerous this forest was. While sticking to the trees was one survival method, traveling in a group was another one. The Grimm would be less inclined to attack a group, and even if they did, a group would have an easier time fighting them off.

Quietly, Lilith worked her way down the tree, swinging from branch to branch, before dropping down silently behind Mel, the girl who had offered to become her friend. What a strange word that was. Friend. It had been such a long time since she had allowed anyone to get that close to her. Even now the idea scared her, but she wanted to give it a chance.

She soundlessly walked up to girls and glanced over their shoulders, noting the binoculars and Mel's explanation. "That's pretty smart." she commented, finally letting her presence be known.

Oak was falling at very high speeds. she suddenly stuck bloodthorne out when she reached the trees and bloodthorne got lodged in a tree with oak hanging off of it. "ok this was very poorly planned." she admitted whilst putting her feet on the trunk of the tree. she dislodged bloodthorne from the tree then jumped to the ground branch by branch. "ok people people people people people people." she said whilst surveying the area.

Oracle was investigating around, when she heard some rustling leaves. "Helloooo?" She questioned, though a little more softer than she had wished for. Her eyes surveyed above her, then she suddenly became filled with fear. What if her partner was someone who HATED her!? Oh god, that would suck! As she thought about this, she did not notice the person plop down RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER. Earth to Oracle, look in front of you! She snapped out of her thoughts and locked eyes with a green-eyed Oak, the friendly Faunus she had met already. She sighed happily. "Thank goodness. I thought I'd find someone li-" Her statement were cut off by a roar heard from nearby. She flinched, then turned to face Oak again. "You ready for this?" She questioned, a new fire in her eyes that were ready for a fight.

WarZii stood on a launch pad slouched over with bags under his eyes. His head drooped slightly but snapped back up as he tried to stay away. A co-ed "slumber party" leads to a late night for he who were to protect the rules and serve justice. He had been siting the rule book to anyone breaking the rules the previous night. He let out a might yawn and rubbed his eyes just as the pad he was standing on launched him into the air over the forest.

"Whoa... this dream is pretty crazy. Man, I never land in dreams where I'm flying." He was still in a daze confusing reality with a dream. WarZii looked at the trees come closer to him. Before he knew it WarZii's face crashed into a thick tree branch causing his body to flip. "OW! OKAY THIS IS NOT A DREAM! GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER WARSCEWICIZII!" He grabbed his sword and shield from his back and slung it around. The shield flipped on the sword and locked in place creating an axe. He swung Storm Charger at a tree that was in his way hooking it around the trunk. He spun around the tree slowing down as the axe cut around the tree trunk creating a spiral on the way down. Hitting the the ground he unhooked his axe from around the tree and rolled springing to his feet at the same time unlocking the shield from the sword. He stood gallantly with his shield in one hand and his sword in the other. "Fist day on the road to a huntsman. Time to shoot for the top" He said to himself winking with a black eye.

Irving heard a rustle in the trees to his right. Facing the trees, he fell into a combat stance. With a loud roar an Ursa barreled out of the brush, charging straight at him.

"Well, I guess it was bound to happen sooner or later..."

Irving wound back his right arm and swung at the Ursa as it bore down on him. First the tip of his weapons blade plunged into the beast's eye, traveling all the way in until Irving's armored fist made contact with it's face. The bone-like shell over it's head cracked like pottery as Irving struck it. The Ursa shrieked and reeled before Irving finished it with a burst of gunfire from his auto-pistol.

"Good warm up." Irving commented as he pulled his blade from the mess that was left of the Ursa's skull.

"Heck yes I am!" Oak said enthusiastically. she held bloodthorne like a shot gun, flipped out the trigger and got ready to fire. "i've been ready my whole life." she said to herself aiming at the sound of the grimm nearby.

@theunderwolf

"OH DEAR! Where are my manners? I forgot to introduce you to, Ms. Beo Violetova, she's a faunus as well... A Fox Faunus judging from the ears..."

Mel then returned to her scouting duty.

"So ladies, any of you have a clue what Ozpin might use as relics?"

@Ian Temero

Beo's 's ears twitched when she heard something land roughly in the tree.. SHe didn't smell Grimm so she relaxed, figuring it for a rather large, clumsy bird. SHe wasn't really surprised when the girl she bumped into the night before made her presence known. What bid was that clumsy? Then mel spoke and threw her for another loop, "I love faunus too much? weird nickname though it would explain why Mel had latched on to her so quickly. Beo filed away that information for later. "Nice ta meet ya' Lilith." Sh said serenely, "And wait you can tell what kind of faunus someone is, just by the ears?" She said to Mel.

Irving made his way through the forest, killing several Grimm that got in his way. He still hadn't found the relics, or any other students.

Eventually...

(Something... Seriously, anyone.)

"Well, I was adopted by a family of Faunus... The only real friends I had back home were Faunus." Mel explained to her now teammate, Beo.

"So, Yeah... Also I'm very well-educated in Zoology, so your ears reminded me of a Fox's... though Cat Faunus and Wolf Faunus ears are too similar for me to tell a part without closer inspection..." Mel said keeping the accent of a well educated Brit

While her face didn't show it, Lilith was a little surprised by the girl's lack of a reaction. Surely they hadn't heard her coming. Maybe they just didn't scare easily. She gave them both a polite nod, both to reassure Mel and to acknowledge Beo's greeting.

Well that certainly explained a few things.

It occurred to Lilith that the longer they stood there talking, the more danger they would probably be in. "Let's get going." She interrupted, motioning deeper into the forest.

"Good Idea, Lilith," Mel said as the head deeper into the forest.

Mel began singing a tune to herself.

"We walk alone... in the unknown..." she hums the rest as she only remembers the opening and the chorus.

"Sounds good. I think I saw a chasm, like ozpin mentioned, that way"' Beo gestured, "Lets take the trees and try to stay quiet, Mel's got that massive hammer so, Lilith what are you armed with?" She looked over to the girl, seeing two knives, but this being beacon they may well be great swords for all she knew.
