"This world...it was once...something alive. It was. It had been. It's all gone. There was a forest over there. That's just sand now. There was a whole city there. With people. Other...people. But now. It's all sand. That's what this whole damn planet is now. It's ALL SAND."

"What happened. What did this? I can't remember. No one can. Really, the only hope for this god forsaken planet is if we can actually find some damn life here. But no. There are no trees here. There aren't any animals. This is a goddamn desert. Of fucking course it's not going to have anything here. Except for us. We are practically the only ones still alive. There was another group of survivors. But they were foolish. They tried to "save" their home. They died..."

"...that's enough for now." He looked at the recorder. 243 logs. He has been making them since he found this recorder. One for everyday. It's broken. All 243 logs, he remembers. The record says 0. But he believes that his legacy will live on. In the empty, broken, sand fulled...recorder. He sighed, and put the recorder on the shelf. Where he put all his treasures from the sand. When he put the recorder onto the shelf, the side of it busted, and poured sand all over his desk, where the shelf was hanging over. He groaned, and got up. "This shity sand...stupid town...no one even likes sand." He mumbled to himself, as he walked out of his home. A small stronghold made out of stone, the stone found below the sand. He was seemed to have enough stone to make a house...or two...or...the whole community. Stone seemed to be a common material here. Very, very common. At least everyone has a suitable home. He walked the small town. The place where all the survivors lived, After the mysterious event that changed this world. As he walked to a small shop-- the only shop in this place --he mumbled. "Everyone here are fucking idiots. They don't know how we got here. All I want to do is just sit in my own house. But no. It's always stupid shit like this." He groaned as he walked into the small shop. "Yeah. Can I get a cloth to clean something up?" He asked the shop keeper, and after a few minutes, he was back, on his way to his home. Until he saw that there were creatures in his house. Five of them. All of them looked dog-like, although they were very small. One of them were small enough to be standing on Leonard's desk. It turned, growled and hissed at Leonard as it saw him standing outside. It hopped off the desk, and called the other four creatures. There were obviously not friendly. And Leonard had a bad feeling that this wasn't going to be a good day.

Andrew wakes up from a dream about life before the changes, a life where everything wasn't sand. He gets up from where he was sleeping, and starts to stretch. After stretching, he gathers up his gear and starts looking for some food. I think I'm in the mood for some wolf. Man, I really need to come up with a name for those things, since they're not really wolves but they are canines. Whatever.

Andrew walks through what used to be his home town, and is now just a bunch of sand. He stops when he spots a wolf. He takes a knife out and charges at the wolf and stabs down. He goes back to his camp and starts to cook the wolf.

What happened to the world? It was a thought that had always managed to cross Lavender's mind. The world was a mess. A ruin of what it was once and no one knew what the hell happened. All she knew was one day everything was okay and the next day everything was gone. She didn't try to dwell on it too much and continued on her merry way.

Lavender wasn't lost, but then again she was. After all everything looked the same. The sandy plain seemed to stretch out for miles. She also tried not to dwell on that fact. With her thoughts elsewhere she hadn't realized the small town she had stumbled upon. Her eyed widened as she studied the small town of stones. She hadn't know there were still places like this around. There was even some food! She grinned and walked over to the stand.

Maybe today wouldn't be too bad. Maybe.

"God. Dammit." He groaned. The creatures slow advanced on Leonard. He found a rock under the sand, and threw it. It missed, and landed quite a distance away. One of the canines turned to the stone, and ran to it. The others hiss at the canine that left. In return, the canine abandons the stone, and goes to attack the others who hissed at him. Soon it was an entire brawl. It was impossible to see, with all the dust and sand they were kicking up. Leonard moved away from the area. The canines forgot about him. Although, his house was blocked by the fight. So he ran back to the town. He didn't talk to anyone, and sat down next to a building, looking a bit distressed. He could still see the mountain of dust in the distance.

Slowly waking up, Noir was lying down on the sand. "Whoa, where am I?" He asked himself. He got up and around and saw the sandy realm. "How? I wasn't sleeping on sand!" Noir shouted out. He ran through the sand to see anything that could help him find out where he was... But there was nothing. "I'M LOST!" Noir screamed as he dropped to the ground. "What's going on?"

The girl made her way through the dark, barren halls of the facility, curiously looking around for any signs of life as she explored the place.  She had woken up in some sort of strange, cold... pod, yes pod was the word, it was hard to remember sometimes, in fact she had no memory of anything before the pod, and her knowledge of things like words was slowly returning to her.  It slowly became apparent that this place was devoid of life, an empty shell of what it had once been.  Luckily it wasn't all bad, she had been rewarded from her search with a small backpack and two small snack bars!  The girl hadn't realized how hungry she was until just now, wolfing the two energy bars down quickly, wishing she had something more filling to eat.  With a resigned sigh, she slung the empty backpack over her back and continued her search of the facility.

After a few hours of exploration, her eyes caught something curious, a VERY long ladder leading upwards, the sign near it read 'emergency exit'... exit, that means it's a way out!  The girl smiled at her realization, maybe there would be more food out there, and people to explain what had happened!  With renewed curiosity, she quickly made her way up the ladder, stopping at what looked like a heavy metal trap door at the top, a red wheel in the center read 'emergency release' so, obviously she tried the wheel.  It took a great amount of strength to get the old, rustic wheel to budge, but finally, the thing snapped to the left with a loud CLANG!.  The door swung inward, taking the girl with her, she clung tightly to the wheel for dear life as she watched the influx of sand pour down the hatch and into the facility, it seemed like the stuff would never stop!  But finally, the last granules settled, and the girl swung her feet back to the rungs of the ladder, taking hold of the metal bars again, the girl saw something completely alien to her until now...

Sky, beautiful blue sky, the sun perched up high in the air, shining brightly down to the world below.  The beauty of the open sky struck the girl for a moment, and she basked in awe at the warm glowing light at it's center.  Climbing up the ladder and to the surface world above she extended her arms and basked in the warm glow of the sun, smiling brightly.  It took her a moment before she decided it was time to keep moving, she needed to find someone who could help her, preferably someone with food.  She began to walk in no real specific direction in the search for something that could explain her current predicament.

It was a long day of walking, the hot sun which she had praised moments ago bared down on her now, causing her to sweat from the heat, sand got everywhere, it clung to her skin, got in her shoes, creating a much more uncomfortable experience for the poor girl as she walked the barren wasteland.  It was some time in the afternoon when she found it, a small collection of buildings on the horizon, with renewed strength she slowly but surely made her way towards the small town, her legs burned with pain, she had been in the pod for what she could only gather as a very long time, her muscles weren't used to walking for such a long time anymore, the second she entered the small town, she collapsed to the floor.  Dehydration and exhaustion taking it's toll on the girl.

After finishing his breakfast, Andrew decides to go visit the town he camped near. Now that I think about it, why didn't I just go there for breakfast. Well whatever, might as well go check it out. He puts on his backpack, and starts gathering his survival gear. He heads out of his tent and goes towards the town.

As he is getting close to the entrance of the town, he notice something very unusual. What is that? He gets closer to the object to see what it is, until he final realizes what it is. That's a person. His eyes widen, as he rushes over to help . As he get closer, he notices it's a girl. He checks her pulse to see if she's alive. Good, she still has a pulse. He picks he up and starts to look around to see if anyone is around to help. Damnit, I guess I have to use it. He takes her under some shade and puts her down. After putting her down, he grabs his backpack. He pulls out some smelling salts and waves it in front of the girl's nose. Come on, wake up.

Noir looked around. He finally saw someone. Two people to be exact. He couldn't make out of what was going on, but his instincts told him to help out. "Alrighty then..." He said before sprinting towards the two people. "NEED HELP!?" He shouted while sprinting at the strangers.

The smelling salts caused the girl to stir for a moment, she sat up weakly before her eyes fluttered open.  She was met with a face, someone holding her, waving something under her nose, but she didn't care much for that, there was another human! Flashing a bright smile towards him she spoke up weakly "h-hello" she said, her voice rather wispy after going for so long without speaking.  Wiping some sweat off her brow, she smiled a little at the shade in which they sat "are you a human too?" she asked curiously, sitting up and leaning in closely to take in his features.  She was so excited! Another human after so long! What would he tell her? what did he know of what happened? He had yet to speak but she didn't doubt the treasure trove of knowledge in which he probably held.

Lavender hummed slightly to herself as she munched on some bread. The town was small, but the people in it were rather kind. She had learned the history of it while she chatted with a store owner. Turns out someone actually built this place and she had grinned at that. Humanity wasn't completely lost. There was still the smallest sliver of hope and to her it was in the form of this little town.

She spotted a lone figure resting against the building and she frowned. He looked distressed. "Are you okay stranger?" She held out some of her bread. "Want some?"

Noir finally made it to his destination. It seemed they don't need to much help. But, they're all in a sandy world, so he wanted to had company. "Hello!" He greeted with a smile. "Do you guys know where I could find a village or a town or... Something..." Noir knew that most of the villages should be drowned in the sand.

"...what?" He said. "No. I don't." Leonard said. "And yeah. I'm actually having a great time here. With my house-- the one covered in disgusting monsters and dust. That one --being completely destroyed. You can see the enjoyment on my face."

A pout came to Lavender's lips at the amount of sarcasm that was leaving the boy. Her eyes landed on the house he had mentioned, but it was more like a cloud of dust if anything. "Well then Mr. grumpy pants," She grinned, "Why don't I help you out?" After all what was the worse that could happen?

"...sure. You can go and get killed by those...things. Although, I really don't feel like doing anything stupid or deadly today. So I'm just going to sit here. And wait for them to leave." He said. But apparently, the Canines were done killing each other, and decided to continue their previous objective. And actually. Quite a bit of the Canines were dead. Maybe that fight was more serious than Leonard had thought. "Yeeeeah. They are actually coming over here." He groaned. "I gotta get away from them. And you too. If they can't get to me, then they'd go after someone else. AKA you; Random person."

Lavender frowned eyeing the canines. They did seem pretty deadly and she could understand his...concern? "Then what about the townspeople?" She questioned, "Not all of them can actually protect themselves, but I can."

"If they were smart, they would hide in their houses... I didn't build them just so they can look at it." He groaned. A Canine growled and jumped out at Leonard. He yelled and tried to hit it.

Lavender's eyes widened. "You're the guy who built this place!?" She wasn't even sure what she was expecting but it really wasn't this sarcastic boy before him. The canine that jumped at him had caught her attention. She grinned and shot a mini fireball at it. She was extra careful not to hit the boy. "Oh hey what's your name?" She asked whilst watching the canine she blasted at stand up. It was injured and much to her dismay she had managed to catch the other canines attention. She cracked her knuckles and gave them a look that said I dare you.

"Uh. Do you really think while we are being attacked is the best time to get to know each other..." he said. "It's better not to fight these things. They are like trying to break stone with your hands. And they are damn well strong. We gotta run." He looked at the canines.

"That might actually be a good idea." Lavender said. There were actually more than she had originally thought and he seemed to know more about them  than she did. "We should probbaly go like now." With every word she was taking a step back.

"Look. I'm going to run to the market area. These things don't like crowded areas. To many people to kill I guess." He said. "They still might follow us. But it's worth a try." He mumbled, as he sighed and turned around, ready to try out his plan.

“Um... y-yeah" he said being a little nervous. He didn't notice before but now that he is looking at her, he notice that she was kind of cute. But..., I don't really know how she is. Hell, I don't even who she is. "Here" he grabs a water bottle out of his backpack and gives it to her, "I'm guessing you passed out because of dehydration. You should probably take it easy for now."

Another person approach them. The man asked them if there's a place near. "Um... yeah. In fact your in the entrance of a town. I think there might be a inn there, or at least a place you can eat" he says referring to the man and the girl. Sigh, I might as well buy the girl something to eat. As for that guy, I'm sure he can buy his own food.

Lavender nodded. "Market area. Got it." If the canines weren't that fond of crowded areas it would ease worries for the towns people. She took off running not really wanting to linger any longer especially with how blood thirsty the canines looked. She shuddered. She remembered when dogs were man's best friends not man's best food option.

Elise gave a nod, so he WAS human, this was great! It wasn't too long after that ANOTHER human made his way over, looking for a town,  that sounded like a nice idea, towns have tons of people, and someone there could definitely explain things to her.  Taking the bottle from the boy, she drank eagerly from the thing, emptying the thing in one fell swoop, she let out a pleasant sigh and handed the bottle back to the boy "thank you!" she exclaimed, feeling much better now, although it would take a lot of rest and water before she would be in good health again, dehydration and heat stroke had really taken their toll.  Now that she was feeling better, she was able to move a bit more freely, sitting next to the boy she brushed herself off "so... where are we? i don't remember much, but i definitely don't remember things looking like this..." she said, a few lingering images of towering buildings and city streets swarmed in her mind.
