Old Bruiser

Old Bruiser noticed the sword being swung towards him and he winced, he was moving too fast to stop, and it was too late to react....Zelia's blade cut off one of his horns and he roared in pain, he staggered to the side and rammed into a tree. For a moment, Old Bruiser stood still, in shock from the overwhelming pain he was experiencing. But then, his body glowed brightly and the horn grew back in a matter of seconds. He grumbled quietly before turning back around to face Zelia, his eyes and body glowing red in anger. He bellowed loudly, and went to charge again, before Soma came from the sky and rammed herself into Bruiser's side, knocking him right onto his side. Soma shook her head and screeched, before running up to Zelia and checking her for injuries. She cooed and rubbed her head against Zelia's cheek, before turning and screeching at Old Bruiser as he slowly stood up. He glared at Soma and reared his head in an attempt to show dominance over her...But Soma wouldn't have it, she hissed at him and slashed his cheek, before jumping in the air with a flap of her wings and landing right on top of Old Bruiser. She dug her talons deep into his hide, before biting his  newly regenerated horn and using her entire weight to bring Bruiser to the ground again. She succeeded, and Soma got off, pecked him twice, and then walked over to Zelia and placed her head on top hers. The griffin purred loudly, and then put her head underneath Zelia's legs and hoisted her onto her back. She looked back. Bruiser was on the ground, breathing heavily. He was clearly very angry, but he didn't dare attempt to get up and try to attack Soma. Pleased with her victory, Soma began walking back to the farm, bobbing playfully as she walked to comfort Zelia. Soma still had her saddle on, and Vinn's gigantic LMG was strapped to the side in it's saddle holster. Vinn's backpack was also still strapped on the saddle, and a note could clearly be seen sticking out of it....

Kyns

Kyns looked at MJ, then back to Dorian. He shrugged. "Alright. Fine by me. Lead the way Ulfdr." He said gruffly, looking at the kykdren.  Ulfdr's eyes widened in surprise...it was time....

Ulfdr

Ulfdr smiled at Alex. "A pleasure to meet you...I'm going to place you towards the back so you can strike enemies with your magic. We need the ranged support desperately...my tribe's javelin throwers and archers are lethal...and we'll need you targeting them as much as possible." He said, before turning to the group. "Alright everyone, let's head out. We'll travelling in this formation: Me, MJ, Kyns, Alexander, and last but definitely not least will be Dorian. We need to move fast, and like Dorian said, strike at night. We'll wait a far bit away from the treeline of the swamp and rest so we'll be less fatigued for the night attack once we get there. I'll explain more and we can talk while we walk! Let's move!" Ulfdr exclaimed, before throwing open the door and moving out quickly.

Zelia

Zelia braced for an attack when Soma came out of the sky and saved her. The fight between the two only lasted a minute as Soma easily defeated the bull into submission. Soma came over and comforted Zelia, assureing her that it was okay. Zelia bobbed with Soma as she made sure Ol' Bruiser was following behind the two. When she saw the Old bull was following she looked to see the letter sticking out of the backpack. It would be bad to snoop, but maybe it's for her? She reached down and grabbed the letter. It read... ( @SpookySpecter wrote this )

Vinn's Letter

Dear Family,

Hey, it’s been a week since I’ve been gone...I miss you guys. How’s everyone doing? I’m doing just fine, I got a job as a butcher in the undercity of Pitfum. I’m writing this in my spare time here, so sorry if there are any blood marks. Listen to me rambling...even when writing letters...anyway, I’ve got the spare house key so I can come back at any time. But not until I’ve found Kyns! That’s why i’m here, just remember that. I’m not trying to abandon the farm...I just want to see my older brother again. Anywho! I’ll try to find time to send this letter. I’ve been so busy with getting money for rent and stuff that I haven’t even been able to get CLOSE to a post office. So...I love you guys. I hope i’ll be able to see you soon!

                               Love,

                                Vinn Arvo

Zelia felt so happy. He didn't deliberately ignore them. He could never send the letters. It made her feel happy that he really loved his family. Zelia has sent letter's to her family too. She could never get one back because she was always on the move. I wonder if our family farm is doing okay. I miss my mom and dad... I miss my farm too. But, I have a family tradition to uphold. I can't stop now. Zelia held her head high as they reentered the farm area and led The bull to the grazing grounds. Zelia jumped off of Soma and went back to Bjor and said, "Well, now that, that excitement is over... Anything else need to be done. Oh! And don't worry, Ol' bruiser is okay." She gave Bjor the thumbs up.

Alexander smirked, blinking his left eye. "Excellent... Stars will bright on our side as my power will reach it's peak. And once whatever the threat is will be kick out, i will glorify the north, taking my retreat in hope there won't be more pertubator." He moved onto the direction of the door, moving his elbow. "May we all came back alive with our tale written on a book !" He said before finally leaving the room.

@SpookySpecter ( OOC : Is it ok if Alexander temple can fire one solar beam that can deal an explosion equal to a rocket from a really long distance ? It won't be spammable but if it's seems too OP i will understand it and won't use that)

Bjor

Bjor panted heavily on the back of his horse. His face was beaten and battered. "Oh good....Bruiser's back...I was secretly hoping you'd kill him right then and there but whatever..." He said, wiping blood from his nose. "All the cows are in the grazing grounds...except for two...they got pounced on a by a Prairie Runner in the outer fields." Bjor said quietly as he mended more wounds. He got off the horse and sent her back to the barn. "I think that'll be enough excitement for right now..." Bjor said, looking over towards the farmhouse, where Vinn and Chad were already heading in. Vinn had a fresh claw-like scar across his cheek...Bjor looked over at Zelia. "Let's go in....it's about noon time. Time for lunch." Bjor said, smiling weakly and heading back to the farmhouse....

Green colored predators from the south, Prairie Runners are perfectly adapted for running at high speeds on the flatland in the south. They typically prey on small mammals, and occasionally attack farms to prey on livestock. They're pack hunters, and are lead by a Matriarch Prairie Runner, which if killed will cause the rest of the pack to scatter. The matriarch usually stays at the den, where all it's needs are met by it's children and mates. Prairie Runner Matriarch claws are prized  for their healing properties, and are typically ground up into medicines of all kinds.

Kyns left the Hall. Alex's words had inspired him. "Hell yeah! You think they'd write a book about us? Hey guys, we're gonna get a book written about us! And maybe even a song or two!!!" He exclaims, setting a goal or himself and the team. He hit his fists together eagerly  as the they walked, the streets beginning to bustle with activity around them. It was about noon, and the sun was high in the sky, shining beautifully. It was the perfect weather for an adventure....

Zelia

"Hey... If you need me to heal you up I'd be glad to help. Only minor cuts and bruises though... I can't heal much else but that..." as the two walked back to the house Zelia said, "Me and my dad used to deal with Prairie runners too. Back when I was home anyway..." Zelia stared at the ground for a moment, but suddenly perked up and said, "Oh! I can cook you guys some lunch if you want! It's the least I could do for letting me stay here. By the way, it seems that you don't like Ol' Bruiser very much, but I think he's neat. The way he glows like the moon. It's very pretty when he's not trying to kill you!" Zelia laughed and continued to walk inside when she noticed Vinn had a huge gash on his face. "OH MY GOD VINN!" she ran towards her friend and began to ask a million questions. "Are you okay? What happened? What did this to you? Do you need me to heal you? Is your dad okay? Is everything okay?!?!?"

Bjor

Vinn was about to enter the house when all of a sudden Zelia appeared, asking a flurry of questions ecstatically. He smiled. "I'm fine, everything is fine. You can heal me if you want..." He said, holding his cheek. "Some prairie runners were in the cornfields...there were two. One of them scared the corn hauling mule off into the barn, then it charged at me. I punched it in the snout twice before it could claw me and it ran away. But then the second came from behind and jumped on my shoulders. It scratched me once and dug it's claws into my shoulders before dad came over and grabbed it by the throat...then he tore it off my back, beat the shit out of it, and snapped it's neck. He hung the body up in the fields by a rope as an example to the other runners." Vinn said, opening the door for everyone else. Chad had a bottle of whiskey and he chugged it heartily before entering the house, then Bjor went inside after him.

Dorian twitched in eager anticipation, the groups excitement being infectious. "There is no me, there is no you! There is only the never ending spit and bile of combat! The twenty-four hour murder spree of shining metal! I drink the blood and strip the flesh and breathe the carnage, because I! AM! A MONSTER! NOW AND FOREVER!" He cried out psychotically, only just keeping himself from up and flying off to find someone to kill. It had been Weeks since he had killed something, and his bloodlust was at an all time high, beginning to cloud his judgement. Following closely behind the group, while delivering a har smack to the side of his helmeted head, snapping him back to his senses. "Sorry about that... Haven't killed anyone in weeks...." Dorian explained to the others. "If we do end up in combat, stay out of my way, because it'll be messy."

Zelia

"If you really think you are okay then I won't bug you anymore about it." Zelia listened to his story about what had happened to him in the corn fields. "Wow... That is... something. Me and my dad never really did any of that. We mostly just used our magic to scare them off. We never actually fought them. See look." Zelia opened up her hand as magic spark began to shoot out of her hand.

The small lights caused Zelia to smile lightly. "My dad taught me everything I know about magic. He was a spellsword like I am. It's a family tradition to be a spellsword." Zelia stopped using her magic and continued walking inside. "I think you guys would like my family. We aren't as brute as you guys but we can sure put up a fight!" Zelia laughed. I sure hope my family is okay...

MJ

Margret Jane

MJ shook her head and smiled. They gave there tiny speeches pretty much saying how excited they was for the journey. She wasnt used to anything like this but she could not help but smile at there excitement. 'Dont worry Brick, I will make you proud.' She quickly threw on her hood and ran out to catch up for Ulfdr.

Time Skip....

6 hours later:

It soon had begun to pour...dark clouds rolled in unexpectedly on the adventurers as they traveled to Plague Woods. Eventually, they made it,  and they found shelter in a small bush thicket on the side of the road that Ulfdr slashed into to allow the group some time to rest. Kyns got out of his suit, took off the top section of his armor and stashed it where it'd stay dry. Then he leaned against his steam plate suit to catch up on the sleep he didn't get last night. Ulfdr stayed up to watch for any enemies. No fire was built, to help conceal the group as they waited for the darkness to come in...now...as the cold veil of night sets in....the air of combat begins to loom among the group...it was time to enter the swamp soon...

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kyns

Kyns jolted awake and looked around. He could hardly see a foot in front of...him...his eyes had yet to adjust to the night. Rain hit his head and he felt his hair, it was soaking wet. In fact, his entire body was soaking wet.  He groaned and got up, feeling his side for his side satchel. Once he found it, he dug through it and found his flask of dark rum and took it out. "Everyone awake?" He asked, taking a large swig of his drink. It was seven at night, and the rain was still coming down as hard as it was before. Kyns began shivering, which activated the runes on his back. They lit up and caused his body to warm to a pleasant temperature. Water droplets falling on his bare torso evaporated immediately, and small tendrils of smoke slowly rose from his body...a small bi-product of his runic magic. He took another large swig of rum and leaned up against his armor, as he looked at the huge scar going across his chest. He smiled to himself, thinking of war memories...then sighed. Kyns looked into the night sky. No stars shone tonight because of the rain clouds...it made Kyns feel a bit on edge, and he liked the feeling. He held his flask in the direction where he remembered his comrades being. "Anyone want a swig?" He offered, still looking into the starless sky.

Ulfdr

Ulfdr gripped his spear as he looked out towards the treeline of Plague Swamp. His naturally keen eyesight allowed him to scan the treeline effortlessly. No enemies...but he could still smell them. Ulfdr was a master scout, and his keen sense of smell made him an asset to his tribe. It's kept him alive on many occasions when the tribe felt as though they had no more need for him...many of his brothers and sisters couldn't smell as keenly as him...and that was good. Or else they'd already know they were there. He shook himself in an attempt dry his matted fur"How is everyone?" He asked, his eyes not fraying from the treeline.

"Ready when you are. I had just finished the instrument of our foe's demise" Dorian replied securing what looked to be a piece of quartz, with a rune carved into it's mirrored surface. "Just point the bastard out and i'll send him a little gift. After that, we can focus on the bloodletting" He added sliding the harpoon down the barrel of his rather ornate railgun, before pulling back the charging lever. "I'll take to the air, and wait for everyone to get into position. When everyone is ready, I'll fire the harpoon. As soon as the device detonates, we can all have fun."

MJ never could fall asleep. Every time she closed her eyes it brought back memories of the war Kyns was in. It amazed her how composed he was after just coming back from something like that. So, instead of sleeping she began tinkering with a few of her inventions making sure they were ready when she needed them. Later everyone was becoming more active and a man named Dorian began explaining  the plan with the harpoon gun. It made her mad when he started talking about killing for fun. She had killed before but it was never for fun. "Fun, do you take this as some kind of game, because I don't!  She says in a whisper wondering if anyone even heard her. "And what if this plan doesn't work. We should have a back up plan just in case. The harpoon idea sounds fine but it just sounds... too easy."

Sidash'Vinaruu

Meanwhile at Sidash's home village....

Torchlight is all that lit the hardened faces of four kykdren chieftains and warlords as they met around a round table. They were there to discuss matters of war...and Sidash's face bore an especially sinister grin. He had his most beautiful women serve them offerings of bread, wine, and fresh bloody meat. The visiting kykdrens ate heartily, accepting the bounty of food that was there offering. After a while of watching the men eat, Sidash rose from his seat. "Alright. I believe that is enough. Now it is time to discuss war." He said in his native tongue. He looked at a bird kykdren named Hilkilma, a kykdren warchief famed for his tribe's prowess in airborne combat. "Warchief Hilkilma...I understand you have already agreed to join forces with my holy army, and pledge your soul to Miskara...correct?" Sidash asked, slamming his hands on the table to get everyone's attention. Hilkilma scoffed and leaned back in his chair. "I believe I said i'd sooner eat the flesh of my own people than join sides with you, or your false god Miskara. The only reason I came here was to eat your food and drink your wine!" The bird kykdren exclaimed, before spitting on the chest of Sidash. Sidash glared at him, then grinned toothily.  "Well....then I guess you've already done just that...a shame really...I understand that cannibalism is greatly looked down upon by your people." The jackal kykdren said, smiling sadistically. The two other kykdrens stopped eating and spat the food from their mouths quickly. Sidash turned to them. "Oh no..I only served Hilkilma his own people. You two are just eating chicken...well..now that I think about it..what's the difference?" He asked, shrugging and taking a piece of meat from Hilkilma's plate and eating it. The bird kykdren glared at him, unable to comprehend how angry he was. "So...I guess that means you're just going to have to pledge allegiance to Miskara for forgiveness..." Sidash said to Hilkilma. The other two kykdren didn't dare speak a word, and silently ate, awaiting their turn to be asked to join Sidash. "I'd sooner die than join you!" Hilkilma screeched, jumping from his chair and swinging at Sidash with a club that he kept under the table. In response, Sidash calmly raised his hand toward the attacking kykdren and then balled it into a fist, causing a peculiar wave of energy to flow from it. Hilkimla stopped mid-swing, screamed in pain, and then his throat exploded from his neck, causing blood to spurt all over the table and onto the three remaining kykdrens. Sidash sighed and turned to a human slave. "Run and tell Hilkilma's village that he is gone...an assassin attacked him...tell them his dying wish was to join me...they'll make a marvelous addition to the two other bird kykdren tribes we have in our alliance..." He said, wiping blood off himself and wiping it on one of the kykdren chieftain's faces. He looked at the remaining kykdrens and grinned. "What? It wasn't really kykdren meat! I think..." He said, sitting back down....

(The kykdrens in this post were speaking in their tribal toungue throughout the whole post)

After lunch, the midday chores were finished. The as night approached The Bjor and Chad sat in the living room. In the small living room, a red couch was placed against the wall. Right across from it were two handmade chairs, one navy blue and the other light purple, both were stuffed to the brim with cotton and looked incredibly comfortable. In the middle of the couch and chairs was a small coffee table...Bjor sat on the couch while his father sat in the navy blue chair, looking sternly at the wall, clearly deep in thought.

Vinn

Vinn entered the room and smiled at his brother, before sitting on the couch quietly. Not knowing exactly what to say.  His father spoke first. "Where's your friend?" He asked, not looking away from the wall. "No clue Dad...i'm she's not too far way." He said. "Your griffin did a hell of a number on Bruiser...he seems to be in place now." Chad said quietly. "Soma? Yeah...she knows exactly when to help and what to do..." Vinn said, looking at his father. "Now that damn bull is too scared to even walk up to one his cows! You think she helped? Your damn griffin broke my fuckin' bull!" Chad exclaimed, before grumbling to himself and putting a hand to his face. He shook his head and didn't say another word. And neither did Vinn...

"If the harpoon fails, then it'd be best to engage Loxnik in melee combat...though he's never been bested at that...i'm sure we'll do just fine." Ulfdr said, looking at everyone. "He uses a blade and shield...and has been trained with them in the north by an order of knights that he slayed not long after they trained him...the style he's trained in revolves around patience and exploiting weakness...hhmmm...what else...he's a merciless battle tactician....and of course there are the runes that are etched into his flesh, which stops fast moving objects...which i'm sure your runic harpoon SHOULD counter." Ulfdr says relaying crucial information. He sighs, then nods to Dorian. "Be careful when flying that nobody sees you...the tree canopy should be thick enough for them to have no vision of you...but that means your shot will be much harder to take...i'm sure you'll be able to make it." He says, then pulls a small leather pouch with some blue powder inside it. He raises it to the sky and allows rainwater to fill inside it, then he closes it and shakes it around. The he opens it back up, revealing a blue paste. He kneels on the ground, and begins applying it to himself. He applies it around his left eye for good sight, his cheeks for good luck, his hands to strike true, and then his mouth to plead for forgiveness for the acts he's about to commit. Then he stands and looks toward the treeline again. (This ritual is a common practice among all tribal societies in Flumi. With northern origins, The Marks of War have been practiced by an entire range of warriors all throughout history) Kyns noticed Ulfdr doing this and he walked over, and knelt before him. He had done the same thing when he fought in the tribal wars up north for the Hilingrove Monks. He was moved by Ulfdr's actions, as a wave of emotions spread over him. "Ulfdr....could you give me the Marks of War as well?" Kyns asked, showing a rare sign humbleness. Ulfdr nodded, and did the same ritual quickly for Kyns, whose eyes were closed the entire time. When it was over, Kyns got up and walked over to his suit, and leaned against it, his eyes looking almost hollow. Ulfdr looked at Dorian, Alex, and then MJ. "Would any of you like The Marks before we begin?" He asked, holding up the pouch.

Kyns

Kyns could feel the incoming PTSD attack. He sweat profusely, and his hands balled up into tight fists as he leaned against the suit. He began breathing heavily, trying to fight back his visions...his thoughts...the flashbacks....he closed his eyes...(Just in case you never read Kyns' character page, Kyns suffers from PTSD...)

Kyns opened his eyes. All he could see was the pile of enemy warriors he had just freshly slain. He looked down at his fists, they were covered in blood...the only warmth he felt on his body, as his runes were out of energy...he couldn't stay on this frozen lake much longer...he had an objective...he began running...running to the next objective...a lake town...unfortunately this town was held by the enemy tribe. Everyone had to be destroyed. Kyns was the last remaining warrior of the entire war party that had been sent to take the town...but he wouldn't stop just because his friends were dead. The town was close. He could smell the mothers cooking dinner for the warrior husbands they anticipated to be home soon. Slowly, he walked into town. Children played on shoveled paths, and the mothers cooked on outdoor fires. They all saw him enter town and stopped everything they were doing...looking with expressions of horror at the man wearing nothing but fur pants, ragged boots, and the blood of their loved ones. The only warrior in town charged at him with an axe swung overhead. Kyns quickly stepped out of the way as the axe came crashing down into the snow beside him. Then Kyns punched the man in the face, grabbed him by the throat, and then plunged his entire head into the ice covered lake, breaking a hole in it's surface with nothing but the man's face and his raw muscle. He drowned the man in front of the entire village, then threw his body onto the river's icy surface. Then, he picked up the axe, and looked at the terrified faces of the defenseless villagers in front of him....women, children, animals, all had to be slain in order to show the Hilingove Monks were not to be trifled with. When the deed was done, Kyns could do nothing but smile at his own luck...a blizzard had set in quickly while he was slaughtering...and the fresh layer of blood upon his body would keep him warm for at least a few minutes on his journey back to Hilingrove...

Kyns opened his eyes and looked at his hands. They were clean..and dripping with water. He looked around, everything was fine...he sighed, and grabbed the torso section of his armor and put it on, before leaning against his suit again and waiting for the attack to begin. He started blankly into the trees of the Swamp. Soon... He thought to himself, finishing his rum and putting it into his side satchel.

Erectyple Disfunctinalis busied himself with the simple sights of the road, which wasn't at all difficult, for he had the pleasure to view trees, a luxury not afforded when he was in the North. In his hands, he held a wrench close to his heart, and his sides contained sheathed saw dirks, while his back carried a half-sawed shotgun. He wasn't carrying a backpack, which was indeed odd for an adventure. And then, he stopped only for a moment to summon a portal. With his portal up and running out in thin air, he placed his hands inside the dimensional magic in order to grab out a flask of water, which he immediately gulped down. Streams of water gushed down from his lips onto his sweaty body, and hot, stinky tank top. After he finished consuming the liquid, he put it back into the portal, and then he continued his adventure down the pathway. A goal always seemed to linger in his mind, but he lacked a sense of direction. In fact, he began to realize the stupidity of traveling alone without a guide, as he shouted to his wrench, "Wrench-chan! I demand faster walking legs!" Then, a small pause, before he spoke again, "No! I will not ride in a car...they're dangerous contraptions. If only the beings beyond had given me a steam, metallic body." This bickering continued, as Erectyple walked near several thickets; however, he couldn't help but hear noise, making him realize he wasn't the only one traversing this road.

He entered through the thicket to spot several individuals going about their business. "Oh, uh...sorry I couldn't help but be drawn by the noise," nervously mumbled ED. Therefore, he stared awkwardly at the others, before saying another comment, "Anyone know about a city nearby?" And with that, his eyes just lingered at the individuals around him, for he was unsure what to do next.

Once they were in the Shelter, Alexander couldn't help but lied onto the wall, falling asleep. The long travel and the past quest he did needed some rest for now. After Kyns finally broke the silence, he slowky awaken until taking a sit, looking around at the group, listening to the actual plans glancing toward Mj and Dorian. "Your words are true. We need another plans in any case, and not about only blowing up stuff.,"

He got up, yawning silently before talking back. "I won't interfere with your idea though as i know only little things from our opponents. But if this guy is an expert about exploiting weakness which that greatly scare me, then focusing him will be the best." He then got up, shaking his head at Ulfdr answering about the marks. Alexander had already one of them, hidden on his back. (Previous picture i made for the mark)

He looked at a stranger coming until laughing. "Come on, don't be scare with that look ! Those guys behind me are the good guys. A city nearby... You must be really lost, eh. Well, i let the others help you walking back into safety..." He said before walking out not too far, raising his left hands toward the sky as his arm became white. Now, he was just waiting for the crew to move, calming to prepare himself for the next bloodbath.

Kyns

Kyns looked at the stranger with distrust. "Look buddy, i'd love to help  just like Alex said, but we don't have time to lead you to a city. We have important shit to do." The rain began to fall harder as darker clouds moved in...somehow making the night even darker. "So unless you want to help us out, then I suggest you run off and get to shelter before any of the violence starts." He said, walking closer to the stranger. "And if you decide help us out...then that's pretty much a blood oath. No pussying out halfway through. Kyns said gruffly, before running a hand through his soaked hair and scowling toward the sky, his mood becoming bitter from the rain. "So..you joining or what?" Kyns asked impatiently.

Ulfdr

Ulfdr figured no one wanted the Marks of War, so he put the paste away and grabbed his spear. He looked over at the stranger, waiting for his response. If he refused, Ulfdr figured he might have to slay him...he didn't want this stranger to blab about how he saw them...the information would surely reach Sidash'Vinaruu's ears.....

(just trying to hurry this and get to the long awaited action)

MJ

Margret Jane

MJ looked over and watched Ulfdr do some kind of ritual putting some blue paste on himself. Kyns also followed and did the same. She was about to tell Ulfdr she wanted some to when a new face appeared, which took her attention. She listened to Kyns talk to the man before finally packing her things and throwing off her hood. "Yeah, we should get moving. The ran might help conceal us for a while but it might not last long "she said looking around.

ED felt he had no choice, but to agree to the blood oath. After all, he couldn't just back down, he may have it worse off traveling with Wrench-chan, rather than with others. "Very well," spoke ED as he nodded to Kyns, "I'll join your on your quest," finished ED. He raised his hand to shake Kyns' hand should Kyns choose to accept ED's friendly gesture. While waiting, he spotted Margaret Jane and Ulfdr, and he looked somewhat curious at their conversation. Then, he tilted his head to Alexander, who also answered his question. "Oh, sorry," he spoke again, while leaving his hand open for Kyns. While reading himself to speak again, he took his other free hand, the left hand in order to shake it with Alexander, "Let's do a double handshake, so we're on agreeable terms. Right?" When he finished speaking, he turned his head back and forth between Kyns and Alexander.

"Why aren't my fingers in someone's eye sockets right now... Why aren't my fingers in someone's eye sockets right now... Why aren't my fingers in someone's eye sockets right now... Why aren't my fingers in someone's eye sockets right now... Why aren't my fingers in someone's eye sockets right now... Why aren't my fingers in someone's eye sockets right now..."  Dorian mumbled getting impatient. He could feel the battle that was to come. He could taste the fear that he hand his comrades will fill their victims before snuffing out the spark of life within each and everyone of them.

Kyns

Kyns grinned and shook the stranger's hand firmly. "My names Kyns Arvo the Dragonslayer. Hero of Binbig and Champion of the northern Hilingrove monks." Kyns said, before releasing his hand and turning to Ulfdr, giving him a thumbs up. Ulfdr nodded back to him.

Ulfdr

It was time for action. Ulfdr looked at Dorian. "It's time to fly my friend. Good luck on your end. We'll make our way to the middle of the swamp...may your aim be true, and your foes fall swiftly amongst you." Ulfdr said to the man, before turning to MJ, taking a bit of paste from his pouch and putting the Mark of True Sight on her face expertly. "I could tell you wanted the ritual done...may this Mark allow your sight to pierce the darkness...and for you to see your enemies long before they see you...." He said to MJ, completing the ritual of sight for her. Then he looked at everyone else. "Alright...everyone, move swiftly and quietly with me to the treeline." He said. "Leave anything you won't need. This is a stealth mission, travel lightly." He added, before swiftly and quietly making his way to the treeline. It began to sleet...a rare sight for the East, but not uncommon. He was soon at his destination, and upon looking into the forest, it was clear visibility was going to be almost impossible. The rain would conceal their footsteps for now. Ulfdr looked behind himself, gripping his spear in both hands. He then entered the forest, becoming almost invisible in the sheer darkness...he tapped on a tree, showing the team where he was, and then signaled for them to follow. Ulfdr began walking forward, his eyes beginning to adjust to the dark forest floor. He couldn't smell any enemies, and all he could hear was rain...

Kyns

(again!!???)

Kyns decided to leave his steam plate armor to allow them to be much stealthier. He followed Ulfdr to the treeline, then waited outside the forest before getting the signal to follow him. He entered the forest, and immediately became enveloped in sheer darkness. He followed Ulfdr in a crouched stance, listening to his surroundings. The group suddenly came into a clearing, where a muddy road could be seen. They were hidden behind a shrubbery patch, which was good...because a three man patrol of kykdrens was right in front of them, speaking in their native tongue. Ulfdr turned to him, not knowing what to do next. Kyns turned around to the group. "Okay...three of them are on the muddy path right in front of us...there is no sign of them moving soon...MJ...you have a knife? Okay...I need your help for this..." He whispered, picking up a stick and drawing in the mud. He drew the shrubbery patch, the group, the narrow muddy path, and the three guards standing on it in a cluster talking amongst each other. "Okay...i'm going to throw a rock to the left, which if we're lucky, the noise will distract the left guard, who's equipped with a horn, and could raise the alarm with it if he sees us.. This is where you come in MJ, once he's distracted, I want you to sneak around and kill him while Ulfdr and I charge the other two guards. Alex and the Stranger will stand by and look for anyone coming...got it? This will all go down once I say three...okay?" He asked, looking between everyone. He nodded to them,  then picked up a nearby rock. "Ready? One..two...three!" He whispered harshly, then chucked the rock. The rock smacked into a tree, causing a heavy crack sound. The left guard looked over in surprise, putting a hand on his horn. He looked at his two allies, then walked over to check it out. Kyns got up with Ulfdr, then charged the two other guards as quietly as possible. They hit them before they could even notice...Ulfdr speared the second guard in the throat and dropped him to the ground, and Kyns grabbed the third guard by the snout to muffle his screams, then tackled him down to the muddy road, where he put him into an arm lock, then snapped his neck....he could only hope MJ was successful in her assassination...
