Nogan drummed his fingers across the hand rest in the car. He kept playing the same rhythm over and over.

tap,tap,tap...tap

tap,tap,tap...tap

"........So, that's it?" his father asked.

Nogan continued to tap his fingers across the headrest, ignoring his father. He told his father what happened...the whole thing. About how the kid had asked him to chnage his grades...how he refused becuase the kid didn't have enough money....how things got violent. He told him all of it,and his father had just nodded his head and said that. Nogan really hadn't expected much, his father stopped acting like a father when his mom died.

His father  ran his hand through his hair. He then turned his head and stared at Nogan. Nogan stopped tapping his fingers and hung his head low, looking at his feet. His father stared at him for a few seconds before sighing again, and unlocking the car doors.

"You better go inside. Don't want to get into more trouble." his father said as he again turned his head and started staring out the front of the window. Nogan started to get out of the car when his father spoke to him again.

"You know...sometimes I don't even recognize you anymore." his father said quietly. Nogan paused for a second before he responded.

"You know, I think that too sometimes." Nogan said as he walked out and slammed the car door. Nogan then made into the school and started making his way to his first detention. He knows he deserves it...he just never thought he would be sent to detention for fighting. huh.

Nogan walked into the designated room and immediately noticed the hostile tension in the room between....Maddox Cross  and Steven Jame son. Some guys can't go a whole day while trying to prove their masculinity. Nogan just gave then a quick glance as he scanned the room for people who potentially won't talk/mess with him. Emmeline....too...joyful. Sam...too high for his liking. Then he saw Rylee Adams. Huh, the school cracked down harsh this time. Nogan decided seating next to her would prove good. There was a good chance of no social interaction between them, plus she was a teacher's pet. It was more likely people would notice her and not him, and harass her because of her reputation. He should know, he use to be a little like that.

Nogan  made his way to a seat next to Rylee, the whole time giving no eye contact to anyone in the room. He didn't even say hello. He just sat down and toke out a notebook as he studied for a test next week on photometry. He didn't notice as his right foot started to tap on the ground to it's own beat.

Maddox T. Cross

Maddox pushed the incident out of his head as the carefree, joyful tone flowed back into the room. He couldn't help glancing over at the other boy once more, just to see if he was still affected. He was sitting rigid in his chair, his fist gripping his cellphone so tightly his knuckled were right. His jaw was locked. Everything about his posture radiated anger, but when he turned his head and met Maddox's eyes for even just a few slight seconds, Maddox was shocked by the sadness and the pain he saw. Snapping his gaze back to Seth, he chuckled when he spoke in a damn near perfect British accent. "It's too bad. Nashville used to be so good," he said.

Eyes alight with laughter, Maddox grinned back at Seth. "The accent is damn near perfect, and I would know. Remember that British chick I dated in 8th grade?" he said.

Jessica rolled out of bed in the hurry as through her light sleep (she always sleeps lightly. Both a blessing and a curse, she supposed) she had heard a loud thud and angered screaming. She let out a flustered huff; god, she could never get any sleep around here, could she? Jess figured there wasn't time in the moment to make her bed and change. First thing first: stop her brother from tipping the couch again. The brunette scurried down the steps and saw her mother behind the kitchen counter, Matt with a dining room chair over his head. "Matt!" Jess shouted. Within an instant, he dropped the chair at his feet, staring back at her, evidently startled. Once she saw the anger flash in his eyes, her voice hushed. "Matt, why are you mad sweetie?" Her mom had asked. Jess had taken the chance to quickly slip into place behind him. It was in that moment, she grabbed him from under the arms, taking him backwards down the hall and into his bedroom, being bitten multiple times on the way. "Mom, I have to go," The second he was in, she took a quick glance in her direction to see if she'd respond. "To detention," She added a little louder. With a somewhat angry huff, she grabbed her keys off the hanger and went into the kitchen, running her gnawed at hand under the water. Goodness, even a Saturday detention didn't grab the woman's attention. Then again, this wasn't the first time she'd gone, and it wasn't the first time it had no impact, either.

After another ten minutes, she had on a black "shirt" which could have ultimately been classified as a glorified bikini top and simple red spandex, followed by the signature all black converse. . Slipping on a red and black flannel and buttoning it up far enough when she walked in, the principal wouldn't notice her outfit choice. She headed out to the car and took the quick drive of fifteen minutes to the school. It didn't take long for her to climb out of the car and head to room 3208. She had given the faculty a few cold glances and even a wink to one of the teachers as she walked in.

Once she arrived, she saw the confrontation occurring and had simply walked right by-as if it weren't there, and as if nothing happened in front of her. Her head to the board, which read in large letters 'Welcome to Detention' She scoffed loudly at the words, letting the teacher who was somewhat nearby  know quite well she found the entire process bullshit. So what she had sex in the bathroom? Why did some teacher care? She was a teenager, they were a teenager. Hormones. That was the excuse Jessica gave, but at the same time she was well aware that it wouldn't fly. because according to the principal, everyone but her could "control their hormones". In reality, her almost daily trips to bathrooms, stairwells, and janitor's closets occasionally found company with other couples doing similar things. She had spotted a certain boy (Art) in the back of the room and stared for quite a while, deciding on how she felt regarding if she should approach or not. Instead, she went over to the wall, choosing not to take a seat until reprimanded, instead leaning against the wall, legs and arms crossed.

He observed Maddox how returning to his normal self. He hoped he wouldn't have to see anymore of Steven. Hopefuly he'd be able to survive the five hours planned by Principal Walsh. As he spoke, he noticed Maddox glancing to Steven a couple times, he just continued to hope that the three wouldn't have to talk to each other as detention progressed.

As Maddox mentioned the eight grader he'd dated, he nodded, grinning cheerfully as he brought up the subject. "I remember she was a brunette, she was cute." The girls Maddox dated tended to be very beautiful though most of them ended up wanting him for his popularity or yours truly, Seth Couzens. Okay, maybe not all the time, but it has happened! "Her accent was so thick, we couldn't understand what she meant when she said calculator." His cheeks burned red as he laughed. "Oh my, oh, remember her brother Derrick?! His accent was worse!" The memory was so vivid and hilarious at the same time. "The teacher had to tell us what he meant half the time he spoke."

Maddox doubled over in his seat, laughing so hard he could barely breath. Elizabeth had only dated him because he was popular and because she was in love with Elijah. Elijah, it turns out, had felt the same way and the two were still together today. She and Maddox were actually good friends. Her accent had finally died down and americanized to where people can actually understand her, though the rest of her family still sound like they just arrived. Finally calming down, he grinned at Seth. "Oh, good times, good times," he said.

Glancing over his shoulder at the door, he wondered where the Principal was with the morning activity assignments. They'd been in here for half an hour already.

Rylee Adams

For the most part Rylee ignored the guy who sat next to her. Hell, she was now ignoring most of the people in there. And she intended to do so until everyone was forced to talk to each other. But while she was enjoying her book, Nogan's  tapping was starting to annoy her. She tried to ignore it, but since it was right here next to her, and pretty loud, she sighed dog eared her book, and turned to look at him. Rylee glared for a minute, before speaking. Her voice was quite, and soft, but had a sharp edge to it. "Hey. Can you like, stop doing that?" She asked.

Nogaan was just finsihing the subject on the electromagnetic spectrum when he heard Rylee talked to him. Well, more like ordered him. Nogan gave a quick frown and looked down to his tapping foot and immediately stopped. He just gave Rylee a glance and said "Can't help it". Nogan then went back to reading his book, and everything went back to normal for 30 seconds...Until he started to drum his fingers on his leg.

Seth chuckled as well. Virtually everyone in the eight grade knew of Lizzie's odd accent but as suddenly as Maddox dumped her, three years later she became a bit more americanized. "Then there was that scottish girl from nineth grade." He grinned wildely as he remembered Penelope. The redhead with freckles was a foreign exchange student, Maddox once again had gone out with. "I remember how when you first met her, you asked if she was irish. C'mon, there's a big difference between the irish and scottish!" He was slamming his palm against the table as he spoke, slowly pulling himself back together, his thoughts slowly matched those of Maddox with his next sentence.

"Thought we were gonna be given assignments, no?" He looked to the door then tapped the square button near the bottom middle of the Blackberry's screen, the light beaming as it depicted the time. "And they flare their nostrils whenever we're late." He said staring at the phone though still directed at Maddox before he turned around to face him. "You know, you did get thrown in here for music right? Got any new songs written. Forgot but my dad said we could open for Fallout Boys at his banquet, interested?" He grinned sheepishly, he knew Maddox's answer would mostl likely be a yes. "You could text the guys and tell them, next week Saturday."

The girl had not awoken pleasantly, mid-afternoon, with the feeling that the world around her was at peace like her usual Saturday "mornings" went.  No, she had to be up and ready to go to school, just as if it was a normal weekday, and she did not appreciate it.  Saturdays were the only day she could sleep in as long as she pleased - Sundays were always dance practice, and she had school responsibilities during the week.  Unfortunately, Lux was cocky and reckless, and she ended up, on that fateful day, in room 3208.  Detention.

So, there she was, curled up and fast asleep when her mother slammed open her bedroom door and gave her daughter a very rude awakening.  The middle-aged woman shouted at her to get up, or else there would be even more consequences than basically being on house arrest for a couple of weeks.  Lux just groaned in response and rolled out of bed, onto her feet, and shot her mother an annoyed glare before trudging around her room to get ready.

Lux had eaten her breakfast - dry Frosted Flakes - during the car ride over to her school.  At first, she had tried to convince her mother to allow her to take her own car, but that was apparently not something she could do during her grounding.  Secondly, she had gotten into another argument with her maternal parent regarding whether or not she could get away with wearing pyjamas to detention.  Neither went over well, and as such, Lux was forced to sit in complete silence beside her extremely angry mother for fifteen minutes, the crunching of her breakfast being the only sound that could be heard in the car.  Lux did, however, settle for wearing an oversized sweatshirt and jeans - a happy medium between her beloved pyjamas and "normal people clothes".

She didn't feel guilty at all for getting detention - more inconvenienced by it.  After all, it wasn't as if she'd been caught with any harder drugs than marijuana, but the school (and Lux's mother) definitely acted that way.

Eventually, they had pulled up in front of the high school, and Lux groaned in protest.  "Really?  You've gotta be kidding me here, Mom!"  Lux's mother didn't answer at all, didn't even look at her delinquent daughter until Lux had irritably unbuckled and jumped out of the vehicle, stalking off into the ugly brick building without saying anything more.  It took her a few moments to find where she was supposed to go, but the group outside of the classroom really gave it away.  Did they usually have that many people in detention on a normal day?  A mixed feeling of both dread and excitement rang through her small body at the ideas of what was yet to come.

After a quick debriefing by the principal over the rules - yawn - the students were allowed to enter the room they'd be spending five hours together in.  Lux subtly rolled her eyes as she looked around: Couldn't they have picked somewhere more interesting?  Even the library would've been more interesting than this shithole.  That was when she spotted somebody she knew, somebody whom she called a friend, and sleepily wandered over.

"Going to dance tomorrow?"  Lux inquired to her friend and one-half of the Maddox twins, Bianca.  They had grown to know each other a bit through dance practice, and although Bianca was definitely more serious about it than her, Lux enjoyed that they were still able to goof off together.  Her dark eyes skid to a halt, however, once they reached Luke, and she tilted her head in a vain attempt to read what was on the front page of the newspaper he was reading.  "What's in the news today, Mr Politician?"

Rylee Adams

She rolled her eyes, and turned back with her book. At least now it was in his leg and not as loud. Rylee was reading  the last few chapters of Hollow City, the second book in the Miss Peregrine's series. She really loved the whole idea of peculiar's and their loops. But she kinda felt bad for her book cause she didn't have anything to use as a book mark. So, once again she turned towards Nogan and spoke to him, "Do you have what thing I could use a book mark? Like a post it note or something?" her voice was kinder this time since she was asking for sow thing instead of telling him to do something.

"Of course I am, hon. Wouldn't miss it," Bianca flashed Lux her usual smile and adjusted her skirt to make sure she wasn't unknowingly exposing herself to the others in the room. She liked to make herself 'available', so to speak, but everyone knew that the Maddox twins were far from trashy, no matter how many people they managed to get with. Tossing her dark hair, Bianca leant back a little in her chair and cast a glance over to Emmeline, wondering why the hell the girl was even in detention anyway. Emmelone, Rosalie, Rylee, none of them were the sorts of girls who'd be in detention.

"What 'cha drawing, Em?"

"Nothing you'd understand, I imagine," Luke drawled, folding the newspaper shut and lowering it properly to regard Lux with a gaze that was supposed to be cold indifference. Unfortunately, the slight twitch at the corner of his lips betrayed a completely different feeling. Ah, now, this was a girl who had held his interest for a while. Lux was cute, but his secret affection for her ran deeper than just appearances alone; he had never been able to put a finger on it, there was just something another the girl. Not that he'd ever admit anything.

Emmeline Vance

"It's a rocket prototype, very basic and easy to understand," Emmeline explained, brushing some eraser dust away from the upper half of her drawing and placing her pencil down on the edge of the desk. All she had so far was the exoskeleton of her rocket - the shell, so to speak. The engines and propellant and other components usually came at a later date, drawn in more detail on larger pieces of paper because they required serious detailed annotations. She frowned slightly at Luke, unsure of whether or not he was being sarcastic or just plain rude - and if it was the latter she had half a mind to call him out on it. It was a shame she couldn't tell. "I mean did you know that Atlas and Delta rockets have launched over 1,300 missions?" It didn't seem like a very interesting fact, especially to someone who had little to no interest in outer space or rockets, but Emmeline was oblivious to such a thing, figuring that if she found it intriguing than everyone else was bound to as well.

Nogan was started to get bored of the book. He would prefer reading something else, like a sci fi novel..... or he could start working on his own stories. It had been a while since he had worked on them. He enjoyed writing about protagonists who necessary weren't good or evil. Just right in the middle, seemed more realistic to him. Nobody was perfect or completely bad. As Nogan started to put the book away, Rylee talked to him again. He was starting to regret moving next to her, he though the social interaction would be less than this. Nogan didn't acknowledge her but immediately opened a pocket  on his backpack and handed her a bookmark.it was a black bookmark, with one phrase written on it "Nothing is true; and everything is permitted".

"Here" Nogan said, but he continued "You can have it....I..I have others."

As Rylee took the bookmark, he found himself looking at her and saying "Why are you in here Rylee?...I mean you don't deserve to be here and.....just curious."

As soon as Nogan said that he immediately looked away from her face and started nervously started moving his hands .

Rylee took the book mark, and marked her place, before she heard his question. She thought for a moment, not sure one wet her to make up a half asset lie, or tell him the truth. But she sighed, and decided on the latter. "I...I got into a fight. Nothing big," She shrugged. "They threw the first punch, and I was defending myself. What about you?"

Samuel Edward Norton

Samuel now looked at Nogan, Rylee and Jessica.

Nogan, who was known as the nerd, was talking to Rylee who Samuel knew because of two reasons:

1. She and him were both juniors.

2. She was the teacher's pet.

And number two was also the reason why Samuel didn't like her. A complete suck-up.

It was quite satisfying though; seeing the one person who never gets in trouble in a detention class

Then his vision moved to Jessica who got detention for fucking in the school's bathroom.

Who could blame her? The remarkable thing about teenagers is, everyone is horny but no one has sex.

He felt funny and surprised at the same time; he symphatised with the school-slut.

Also, it was at the bathroom which is quite polite considering you don't want to find a used condom in the library.

Samuel looked at her as he was lost in his thoughts.

"I can't believe I'm driving you to your first detention..." Matt sighed in disbelief, keeping his eyes on road as he waited for the traffic to finish. Frankie sat quietly in the back seat of her father's car with one earbud in her ear as she tried to think of a new song. "Yeah, yeah dad." Frankie muttered as she looked out from window, admiring the large skyscrapers in front of her. New York was different from LA, it was always busy no matter what and most New Yorkers don't even smile at you. Matt watched his daughter from the rear-view mirror as he slowly began to drive once more. "Frankie baby, I know this move has been hard on you but it was for your father, it doesn't give you an excuse for punching a kid in the eye." Matt scolded as Frankie rolled her eyes in disagreement. "Dad, what would have you done if some kid was bullying a freshman?" She retorted back with an angry tone. Her father soon quietened down for the rest of the drive until they stopped in front of the school. Frankie quickly jumped out of the car in fear of her father began to talk again, Matt watched his daughter quickly scurried inside before driving away.

She began to navigate her way to room 3208 in a rush, her tiny backpack bounced against her back as she rushed to the detention room. As soon as she found the door to the room, Frankie's hand reached for the handle and quickly entered in the room, heading straight to the unoccupied table. She quietly sat down to the first seat she saw at the table, not caring for introductions. Frankie ignored Principal's Walsh little speech, pulling out her notebook and flicking to a brand new page, she grabbed a gel blue pen and began to write random song names.

"Not Over You"

"Domingo en Fuego"

"Nearly Witches"

Soon Frankie gave up on her attempt to write a song, softly groaning in anger as she slammed her pen against her notebook.

Burke wasn't excited to be going to detention, but at the same time, he wore a smirk as he walked into the school. The school had placed his detention on the date of an important game-a solid competition. He was the running back and quarterback(occasional) and had scored the most touchdowns in the school's history and yet took him out of the most intense game of the season. And he knew they were gonna lose. So as a result, he walked into the building with confidence through the roof, expecting a phone call when he got out of detention from either his coach or the principal, apologizing for taking him out of the game and telling him how much they needed him; some said he had a huge ego when it came to athletics, although he always said it was fact.

As he set off to his destination, room 3208, he didn't look a single teacher or employee in the eye; his head was up and he was focused on whatever was straight ahead. If anyone looked over, Conner didn't want anyone to see anything other than confidence and pride in the way he walked. His father always told him not to look at people unless you're talking to them, or if they're looking at you and you want them to look away. Otherwise, you were supposed to mind your own business and look like everything you do had a purpose.

He walked in and immediately observed who was where, what was happening, and who he could approach. Until the speech was over, he took a seat in the corner of the room, towards the front, and zoned out of his speech. Instead, as he did that, he took in his company and identified a target: the school slut, Jessica. he had noted with one eyebrow raised some guy's head was turned in her direction; he didn't know the kid's name. He looked familiar from what he saw, but no name came to mind. However, he shouldered through the desks, standing right in front of the girl. Jessica was significantly shorter than him and he could probably pick her up and throw her if he wanted to...he wouldn't, but it was his way of noting a person's size. Therefore, he found no problem in drawing attention to the two of them. "Hey, how was that kid you fucked? One of the better ones of this week for you? Out of- well you get at least one a day, I assume, so were they in your top eight for this week?" Him and several of his friends had a joke running with certain groups of people and individuals regarding their whereabouts and school rankings. For example, he wasn't sure if the cheerleaders knew this, but they had ranked the girls on how pretty they were, they often guessed how many STD's the suck-ups got from teachers, and how many people Jessica had banged that day and where. Without further hesitation, he hopped on the desk right behind Samuel's, facing the girl he had ultimately called out.

Lux offered a sleepy grin at her dark-haired friend, "Cool, I'll see you there.  Can I have a lollipop?"  She nodded at the lollipop that was twirling between Bianca's lips and tilted her head.  Then, she looked over at Luke.

"How can you be so sure of that, Luke?"  Lux raised her eyebrows at the boy but otherwise kept a straight face.  She studied him with curious eyes, however, and made a mental note of just how slightly the corners of his mouth turned upwards: the beginning of a smile, perhaps?  Something about that boy intrigued Lux, always making her want to know more.  He always seemed to have this cool, detached air to him, and always acted like he was one step ahead of you at all times.  People like that, well, Lux had a difficult time staying away from.

Lux heard somebody enter the room and obnoxiously accuse some girl - Jessica, was it? - of sleeping around.  She watched from her seat at the back of the room, frowning deeply at the situation, but unsure of how she should react - if a reaction was even necessary.  Lux was a firm believer that people should be able to freely explore their sexuality without being questioned or accused of being a "slut" or a "whore", but she was already in detention and still not completely awake yet.  She didn't want to start any trouble.

  "Al, what did you do?" She was a bit scared and she said to her mother, "I fell asleep in social studies class because the teacher wasn't lecturing us and I stood up for a nerd that was getting beaten up by a jock." She expected something a bit like, "WHAT! WHY DID YOU DO THAT?" But instead, she heard something else. "Al, I see. I'm highly disappointed in you. Now go on and head to school. I don't want you in more trouble." Alice grabbed her flannel and sunglasses putting them in her backpack. She was about to walk out the door when she heard, "Is your boyfriend Arthur coming with you?" Alice turned her head and said, "You're really weird, mom. We broke up a few weeks ago. Getting pretty close again though." Then the last comment her mother made, "The boy is probably the only person I'll let you ever date. Just kidding. See you later, Al." Alice grinned a bit before stepping out of the door and locking it. She said quietly, "Bye." Then she walked off to school. Couple of blocks, not to far. She saw the gate opened and slowly walked to Room 3208. She then heard their principle explaining some rules and she just rolled her eyes ever so gently. She sat down in a chair next to Arthur. She brushed his hair and said, "So, prince, how's life been?" She giggled a bit and then she just stared at the blonde haired boy with green eyes. She looked at Sam and said, "Hey there, Sam." She remembered the guy. A bit of a druggie, but he was one of Arthur's friends that she 'needed to meet' according to Arthur a long time ago. She got jealous of their close relationship at times, but they were just close friends. Right? She wasn't really even dating him anymore. She still liked Arthur though. He was like her favorite babydoll to play with and have fun with. She didn't remember a time when he wasn't there with her and the other way around. She loved his company. It was a great feeling truly. She still liked him although her relationship with Angel has gotten them to break up and get back together. His presence was mysterious to her and that's what Alice liked about Arthur. She smiled a bit and then waited for the reply in the meanwhile. In the meanwhile, Alice walked over to Lux to say, "I didn't know you were here! Anyways, I'll see you later, boo." She hugged the girl, smiled, and sat down on the small chair...      Tags : @Rhaine; @deathworm; @MarsRover;

Nogan shrugged and said in a manner of fact voice "Same here, though..I bet your reason was better..". It wasn't any new knowledge that he had fallen from grace.among the student body.

Nogan then stopped drumming his fingers and said thoughtfully while looking at the other detentioners "Funny, I bet no one ever expected us getting into a fight. Should have stayed to our books, video games, and antisocial ways." Nogan gave a small laugh and began drumming his fingers again.

"Should a, could a.....but not would a. Nah....wouldn't have changed a thing." Nogan said, then he immediately thought he talked too much and started fidgeting again "Umm.....yeah.....just curious..yeah" Nogan turned turned away and started going through his physics textbook again.Should have stayed quiet....Damn. When  will this thing be over!

Nogan started  tapped his fingers furiously against his leg.

Rylee Adams

She kinda chuckled, and sighed. "I know right. I'm gonna be late for work because of this," She said, while putting her book back in her back pack. In reality, she didn't really care about being late for work, she was just covering for someone with  pretty shit excuse. Rylee noticed his really weird and nervous behavior and furrowed her brows. "You ok? Detention isn't really something o be nervous about."

Arthur’s demeanor made a lot more sense once he mentioned his mom. It was always a sensitive topic and Sam wanted to say something comforting but before he could Arthur was already apologizing for himself. It might have been for the best- Sam wasn’t exactly the ideal shoulder to cry on most of the time and his default mode of comfort was distraction and jokes. So that’s what he went with.

“Dude, this entire morning is a buzzkill, you’re like the least depressing thing in the room right now. And sorry to disappoint, but I’m in here for skipping. I spiced it up a little by throwing in some vandalism, if they haven’t cleaned it up already you should check out the men’s room near the cafeteria. Some of my best work to date.”

Sam straightened out slightly at the arrival of Alice, brushing a few loose strands of hair out of his face as he gave her a little half wave and a smile. Despite her dating Arthur on and off for basically forever Sam didn’t spend any time around the girl. She seemed more than nice enough, hell, if Arthur liked her she was probably great. But aside from knowing Arthur the two of them didn’t have much in common and if he was being completely honest, if only with himself, Sam was the slightest bit jealous of the girl. He’d never understood why Arthur had ended up accepting his forceful friendship but when he saw the two of them together they made sense. Alice was functionally perfect and Arthur was Arthur and Sam was this weird dirty fuck-up with shitty teeth and right now he sounded like a twelve year old girl which needed to stop. So he turned his gaze back to Arthur, nudging his leg with his foot.

“So are you two a thing again or nah? I can never keep track of you crazy kids.”

OUTFIT

Today wasn't going to be a good day for Garnet. Last night, she had been caught sneaking into the school's band classroom after hours; without companions obviously. They bailed soon after she broke the window and Mr. Lanniston screamed at her fiercely. The old man threw back whatever he was holding, then climbed up on the stool next to the window to push Garnet back out. The only reason she didn't get suspended or charged was because he actually fractured her wrist and bruised a few ribs. And this morning, she was fucking sore. Her father found out from work at the university and told her that he would rid her of not only her piano and violins if she didn't go, but his old jaguar she drove to school. Though it angered her, she got herself out of bed and into the shower before pulling on a decent outfit. With a piece of toast in her mouth, she ran out of the house; nearly forgetting to lock the door because she was almost late.

Now at the school, Garnet winced as her warm and clean hands touched the front door handles. Better not sneak in through the back once more, she might get yet ANOTHER detention. The first one was because someone was fucking around with Seth when she was around, so she smacked a bitch. With a tuba. Anyways, she gathered her thoughts and trailed up to Mrs. George's history room, where the administration normally trapped the "miscreants." Garnet shot a quick text to Seth letting him know that she was there too, then kicked open the door to reveal some weirdos, whores, and others. Then, she spotted him. Maddox was with Seth, all arrogant and hot headed. He didn't enjoy her company as much as he would if she was sleeping with him, but she was there for her friend. She gave a smile as she stepped through the room towards the two boys.

Arthur

A smile was tucked between Arthur's teeth as Sam spoke.  "I'll be sure to check it out."  His gaze briefly left Sam in order to glance about the room before his eyes returned to the other boy, a glint alight in his eyes.  "The morning doesn't have to be a buzzkill - or the day, for that matter.  I'm positive something interesting will happen, and anyway you're here.  It won't be a total drag."  He said with a bit of enthusiasm, his words taking on a close, almost conspiratory manner.  His demeanor now lost its low tone more and more as every moment went by.  The muscles in his shoulders loosened.  He briefly bit down on his lower lip, chasing a train of thought that was interrupted by the sensation of a hand in his hair and the sound of a familiar voice.

His eyes found Alice, who was now perched next to him.  He gave her a grin.  "Life is perfectly peachy, Al.  How about yours?"  He said this with some playful bravado.  He found his head was filled with contentment.  He loved being surrounded by friends, Sam and Alice's presences were a soothing factor. Art and Alice were currently broken up, though he felt that the rehashing of their relationship might be soon.  It was something of a familiar routine in his life now, and he wasn't sure how he really felt about that.  She was a convenient and safe place to come back to.  She could draw him in like always, but he sometimes felt like maybe he should put more stock into the reasons behind their frequent breakups.  He shrugged the thought off as Alice made her way to greet another friend.

Feeling Sam nudge his leg, Arthur's light gaze met his face once more.  At his question, Arthur gave a brief laugh, shaking his head a few times with a slight shrug.  "We're split at the moment.  You're not alone, though.  I have trouble keeping track of us myself."  He idly tugged on his earlobe as he spoke.  "Sometimes when we're together it feels the same as when we're broken up.  I often lose track of developments."  He said this in a tone that implied he was amused.  This was evident even as he spoke quietly.
