He furrowed his eyebrows as the Blackberry rung. The only other person who had his phone number was... wait, Garnet? Scratching his head for a moment, he wrapped his arms around the former generation phone, pressing the square  button which turned on the screen, selecting the envelope that had a number one symbol, circled in red blinking on it. Taking the message, he smiled, exposing his teeth as he was informed that Garnet was coming to the detention with them. It was actually quite a relief. He hadn't flirted with one girl and Garnet was one of the girls he didn't find interest in only based on looks. Maybe the only girl. She was cute, confident and could stand up for herself when it was needed. She was also very stubborn which intrigued Seth. Turning to Maddox, he smiled as he spoke. "Garnet's in detention. This must be a party, we might as well invite Scott." He joked, looking to the door where Garnet had finally entered. Placing the phone on the table, he looked up to her, a smirk growing onto his face  as he slid a chair from another desk behind her.

"Welcome back, Sugarcoat." He greeted, turning to Maddox and then back to her. "In Maddie's own words, welcome to hell." Paraphrasing those words from the Rocker himself before looking in a mutual direction, gazing back and forth between the two. "So why'd you get busted, Sugar? Maddie skipped class, I did the same..." He let it settle before adding. "I mean, for different reasons. I mean, I'm funny and he's well... Maddox." Jesting, he patted the brute's shoulder.

Okay so landing herself in detention wasn't on Haley's to do list. But hey, there's a first for everything. Honestly speaking the girl had no idea why she had exactly landed herself in detention. All she remembered was dumping her plate of Sloppy Joe's and mashed potatoes with peas on a very popular girl's chest. Oh yeah and there may have been some iced tea that spilled on her too. Okay okay, so Haley shouldn't have laughed her ass off, but come on, it was such a cliche, how could she not laugh at it. Usually Haley would've spent hours cleaning up everything, but honestly the cello geek couldn't handle it. She cracked up laughing, tears in the corner's of her soft brown eyes. The girl then found herself getting cussed out by the Queen bee and soon teachers came over to break up the dispute after many many tears on the bee's part. After the crying and accusing finger of the blonde, Haley found herself inside the detention room on her precious Saturday morning. Normally she would've been passed out in bed, then she'd get her delicious breakfast before heading downstairs to practice her cello for around two hours. Ah yes, the perfect Saturday morning, filled with sweatpants and her nerdy glasses all day. The perfect day.

But instead she was sitting in the detention room, her fingers running through her brown shoulder length hair, earbuds blasting music as she drowned out the noise around her. Honestly she's a very reserved girl, but socializing with other people in detention wasn't something she wanted. She didn't think they were the type of people her mother would approve of. So the Korean kept quiet as she tapped her fingers on the surface of the desk, browsing through her music with a bored expression. Her brother had gotten in detention as well for a fight in the locker room but it was pretty boring after that. He came home with a slip saying that he was in detention, the same one that his twin sister brought home the day before. Of course their parents had been shocked, but they didn't like disown their children or freak out. I mean seriously, Haley dumped her tray on a girl accidentally and Mark got in a fight because a student was trash talking a girl in the locker room.

The girl finally stopped tapping her fingers and looked around the room, curious as to who exactly was in detention. The girl was considered a nobody at school, just the girl who got good grades and played the cello at amazing levels of skill. Other than that nobody really cared who she was. That is other than Jaz and Mark. The trio had drifted apart causing the two girls to become practically sisters, but they did sometimes managed to drag Mark into their little hangout sessions and dorky ass moments. The short haired girl soon leaned down to grab her backpack from the ground and opened it, grabbing a pen and notebook. She zipped her bag up again and then set the book down on top of her desk, opening it to a new page, soon scribbling a few things down in it. She was just jotting down some ideas she had. Whether it was for her recital or just a random ass idea, it went down in her rather unique and colorful book. And by colorful I mean the various ideas and thoughts that have been written down over the course of the year.

"Oh, yeah, obviously," Bianca nodded at Emmeline's e plantation but her expression and tone of voice made it abundantly clear that she had absolutely no clue what Emmeline was actually talking about. In response to Lux, she just smiled and held out the open bag with a bit of a nod; she was always up for sharing with the few people she actually liked.

"I just have a feeling," Luke replied, his lips curling into a proper smile, although it had just a hint of a smirk playing about it too. He dropped the newspaper onto the table and ran a hand through his hair, very obviously looking Lux up and down before he spoke again. "So, how have you been, then?" It was random considering the fact that he was trying to seem like Lux's didn't really affect him, but nevertheless he was tempted to start a conversation. If they were talking, perhaps she wouldn't wander off too soon.

2016-10-27 18.22.29.jpg

The eighteen year old glared at his reflection, his eyes boring into the purple bruise displayed on his ribs.

Harrison had not taken well to the new of the detention, but that wasn't unexpected.

Angel made a tired sound, before putting on a T-shirt and a jacket, heading for school.

Even if the distance between Angel's house and the school could be covered in about thirteen minutes, he still was one of the last to arrive, but the principal didn't comment on it, thankfully.

"Great." He groaned once the man had stopped speaking, taking a look around to study those who he would share the detention with. He didn't bother hiding the roll of his eyes.

He noticed quite a few people he knew, and who's presence there didn't really surprise him, but also a few who he'd never picture getting a detention.

In fact, he snickered slightly when his eyes laid on Juno.

The eighteen year old went up to her with a smirk, and lowered his voice so that only she could hear.

"The princess did something bad? I'm shocked."

But he straightened as soon as he saw Arthur, his ex best friend, and glared terribly at the blonde.

Noticing another familiar presence to his left, Alice's, he acknowledged her with a faked surprised look.

"Seriously Alice?" He called her out, winking as soon as she caught his eye, "Is the whole fucking school in here?"

He wondered if this was actually some kind of test that the old principal wanted to do, seen that practically there was one member for each social status in the school's popularity.

The young man twisted his lips in annoyance, if it wasn't for this stupid detention he wouldn't have to lose his time with worthless people, nor would his rib hurt so much.

"Can't believe we have to stay here five hours, with them."

This one was mostly for Alice to hear, but Angel didn't really bother lowering his voice.

Maddox T. Cross

Maddox smiled as he remembered Penelope. The fiery red head had been the only Maddox had ever been with who challenged him. Most girls he as with didn't dare do anything like that, because of his size. He worked out a lot, since it helped him relieve stress, which made him almost the size of NFL linebacker.  "Her brother was petrified of me, simply because I was several feet taller and nearly three times his size," Maddox laughed.

When Seth asked almost about the band, the light in Maddox's eyes flared brighter,  his smile widening,  dimples showing. LIOH and the music they made was absolutely everything to the 18 year old music addict. But nothing made him happier than when he heard Seth say they had the chance to be the opening act for FallOut Boy at his dad's banquet. Maddox shot upright in his seat, eyes wide in excitement as he looked at his friend.

"Oh my God, Seth, seriously? Don't play with me man," he said. Seth grinned and told him he could text the guys. Maddox pumped his fist in the air. The oppurtunities and exposure his band would get for the his gig could make or break their enature musical career. They had to be ready. "Practice at my place tonight, man," he told Seth.

He took out his iPod where he had all of their music recorded before taking out a pen and the notebook where he kept the songs he wrote or the remixes he created from other bands' music. As Seth spoke to Garnet, he sung the words to his newest song lightly under his breath.  When he heard his dreaded nickname, he glanced up, waved at Garnet and then glanced back down. He felt Seth's hand when the other  boy lightly punched his shoulder and he chuckled slightly, punching his shoulder back even more lightly,  considering he had more strength than he realized. Then he placed the iPod on the desk and played the recording he'd made of him doing the song solo with a soundboard, simply so Seth could hear it.

"This is the new song I've been working on," I said as I let it play.

(Note: Look up Let It Die by Three Days Grace. That's the song)

Emmeline Vance

"I really hope the principal comes back soon," Emmeline sighed somewhat dazedly, beginning to grow tired of sitting down in the same place without a continual progression of activity going on - even she could only sit still and sketch out rocket plans for so long and she'd near enough reached her limit. She glanced back up at the chalkboard, narrowing her eyes slightly but nothing about it changed and she quickly averted her gaze, wrapped up in a long-winded, convoluted monologue on stars and planets to keep her mind occupied - Emmeline and an idle mind did not mix well. She glanced back at Bianca, knowing full well, deep down, that the other girl didn't care much for space facts or sketches of rocket designs, and smiled at her anyway - she supposed rockets weren't everyone's thing, even if she didn't have a single clue as to why. She figured that just like she loved outer space, Bianca loved something else instead. "I've been excited for this detention all week, I can't wait to get started!"

Samuel Norton

Samuel noticed Burke was taking a seat right behind him. Samuel stared at Burke for a second as he passed him, walking towards the seat.

God, did he hate that guy, an arrogant asshole who didn't contribute to anything.

Samuel then looked at someone else; the other asshole; the guy who was sort of looking for a fight earlier; Maddox.

He was showing his friend, Seth, his music, on an ipod.

Obnoxious narcissist, Samuel thought. The music? Mainstream wannabe rebellious yell music.

It was satisfying to see he wasn't the only one who disliked being in the same room as these pricks.

The small teen was taken by surprise when she heard the familiar voice of her best friend rang through the air, and even more surprised when she was hugged by her.  "Christ, Allie, what'd you do now?"  Lux teased, giving a little grin at her friend.  They had grown up together, been best friends since elementary school, and although they were fairly different from each other, their personalities never seemed to clash.  A friendship between the two had blossomed beautifully.  Lux then turned back to Bianca and gratefully picked out a lime lollipop from the bag, smiling at the dark-haired girl in thanks.

"Oh, you shouldn't underestimate me, Luke," Lux began, watching him closely as he so obviously checked her out.  She didn't feel self-conscious but still felt a small shiver spread up her spine because of it.  She gave him a smile similar to his own as she replied, "I've been decent.  Basically on house arrest for the next two weeks, though; what about you?"  Lux tilted her head slightly, twirling the lollipop around between her lips.

"Excited? For detention?" Bianca echoed, raising her sculpted eyebrows in surprise. "You realise you're meant to be dreading turning up, right? Because it's boring and a total waste of everyone's time? And the principal is an idiot?"

When Alice arrived, she was greeted with a little wave from the dancer.

"You want?" Bianca flashed a friendly smile and held out the bag to Alice. While the two hadn't known one another for nearly as long as Alice had known Lux, they were still familiar and Bianca considered them to at least be friends by association. Besides, the blonde was a cheerleader, and Bianca admired and respected the sport-- in her eyes, it shared some similarities with dance, which she of course lived for.

"I know, an underestimated person is the most dangerous, after all," Luke replied with a smirk, his gaze lingering on the lollipop in her mouth for perhaps longer than a few moments before he abruptly looked away and cleared his throat softly, swiftly returning to his usual collected self. "House arrest? That's rough. As for me, I suppose you could say I've been decent too. Nothing exciting to tell, unfortunately," He shrugged one shoulder carelessly and finally moved his legs off of her desk, swinging them off so his feet were planted on the floor again. "Alice," He added, with a nod of greeting.

Nogan sighed as he closed his physics book again. He knew he was being irrational...it just was he was nervous yeah. Just not about detention

"Sorry,..it just that...yeah I'm nervous, just not over the detention. I actually deserve it...maybe not for the fight but for the other stuff I've done over the last couple years." Nogan said as he looked at Rylee but immediately focused on the other people in the room.

"I'm nervous about...all these people in here. I know your okay because you won't mess with me, not your style...Emmeline too, maybe more. The others though, they make me nervous. We have all these people from all these different walks of life, and that doesn't look good to me. It's like a powder keg in here, and it could blow any second." Nogan whispered.

"You may not see it, but I do. Did you see the way Sam glared when he saw you? The way Maddox almost got physical with Steven when everyone was just getting here? The look Angel gave when he saw all the outcasts, nerds, rejects, and basically everyone who is below him on the popular scale?" Nogan said when he glanced around again. He stopped when he heard the song come out of Maddox's ipod. He calmed down a little and relaxed a bit when he heard the music. Nogan took a breath and finished with one last thought.

"Maybe I'm overreacting, maybe not. Just think about the facts, data, and other events when different people of different backgrounds were forced to get along with each other." Nogan said while he listened to the music again and started to drum his fingers again.

Emmeline Vance

"I don't think it's a total waste of everyone's time," Emmeline admitted truthfully, unaware that she was practically about to give Bianca a lecture; she had a bad habit of doing that. She could talk for hours and hours on end, generally rather quickly and incoherently, which resulted in most people just zoning out or politely nodding their heads every few minutes as if they were actually listening. She glanced around the room before speaking again, wondering if her point was well justified. Most of the people in detention with her were the usual troublemakers - the ones you'd expect to constantly get in trouble - whereas a few others, much like herself she supposed, appeared very out-of-place simply because they were unlikely candidates for causing trouble. Heck, Emmeline still wasn't even sure what was so dastardly about what she'd done so she didn't even know if she could even call the detention a punishment - if it was supposed to be one then she had to admit that the school were awfully lax. "I mean, who wouldn't want to help out around the school and make it a better place? I don't know what I'd like to do more on a weekend!" To any normal person she probably sounded like she was either out of it or being completely sarcastic despite neither of those things being true. For Emmeline, a weekend involved caring for her siblings and making sure her mom didn't choke on her own vomit after getting hammered in her bedroom throughout the day. Forcing gum off of bleachers, washing cars or even watching paint dry all seemed like more entertaining options to Emmeline - especially when she got to do such things with other people, whether they spoke to her or not.

"So you'd better watch your back, bro."  Lux grinned and rolled her eyes at the boy in front of her, eyes locking with his for a few silent moments before she somewhat shyly looked away.  "What'd you do to get here, huh?  I would've expected Mr Politician to negotiate his way out of detention but it looks like you royally screwed up."  She laughed - a bubbly, sweet sound that rose up from her chest.  Poking fun at Luke was one of Lux's favourite things to do, especially because she enjoyed the obnoxious banter that often rose up between them.  He always had on this cool façade, and although a lot of it was just who he was, Lux could still see through what wasn't real.

Lux's hearing picked up on the conversation between Bianca and... Lux couldn't recall the other girl's name, but she heard her mention something about wanting to make the school a better place.  She snorted, and spoke up, "I honestly don't think this school has the capability of becoming a good place, but hey, more power to ya."  Lux gave a smile at the cute girl.  "Didn't mean to barge into the conversation, but, y'know."

She couldn't say she hated Angel. She just loathed him with a burning passion. But there was something about him that intrigued her greatly. He was undeniably attractive; there were always a handful of girls fawning over him. However, to Juno, his personality was a big turn-off. The school bully. He tortures the school-days of underclassmen, and Juno herself. The two can always be found together, bickering over any little thing. Their "friendship" is made up of angst and anger, and it's been like that since the year before. Angel's a senior, and Juno's a junior. Though she tells her friends she can't wait for him to graduate, she knows deep down that she'll miss him.

Minutes before his arrival, Juno makes her way over to a girl with her head in her hands, staring at an open notebook, with scribbles all over. Edited yesterday at 12:36 PM by Elizabeth Duchamps abc

Despite his efforts to keep it down, Sam let out a slightly stupid sounding laugh at Arthur’s optimism. “I’ll do my best to keep you entertained, baby.” He threw in a teasing wink as he leaned forward with his elbows resting on his knees. “It’s pretty crowded in here, I’m sure something exciting is gonna happen.”  For being trapped in detention all morning, Sam felt pretty good. His body was humming as the drugs settled in and the other conversations in the room provided a comforting white noise. The idea of being stuck in this room all day had him a bit antsy and he fidgeted with a loose strand of hair hanging from his bun, looping and twisting it around his finger and watching it unravel out of the corner of his eye. Hopefully they’d be given something to do soon.

Sam’s smile grew as he listened to Arthur’s laugh. “I’ll never get you kids. Alice must be pretty amazing if you’re willing to deal with the confusion. It’d drive me out of my mind trying to figure that shit out.” He sighed, drumming his fingers against his chin as he propped his head up on his hand. Relationships had never been Sam’s strong suit and his relationships rarely lasted more than a night, his greatest success managing to make it to the two month mark before boredom set in. The idea that people could get back together was bizarre to him- if it didn’t work, why bother trying to fix it?

His attention shifted again with the arrival of Angel. They’d never gotten along and since getting close with Arthur, Sam had only grown to hate Angel more. So he shot him a shit-eating grin in return to his glare, even if it wasn’t directed at him. This wasn’t exactly the potential excitement he’d been hoping for.

"I'm with Lux on this one-- not sure how this school ever manage to improve. I think it's hit rock bottom and it's stuck there," Bianca added, only half joking. She had never really enjoyed her time at school once she became a teenager, and as the years wore on it only seemed to get worse and worse. People changed, usually not for the better, and the lessons only grew harder-- what was there to enjoy?

"I cut the wrong class, I suppose. Couldn't sweet talk the bastard," Luke replied with an irritated toll of his eyes; clearly, he didn't like admitting that he had been defeated, especially not when the person who had managed to withstand his charm had been some dull teacher. He had decided to leave out the part about the fact that he had been smoking at the time, because that was another thing that Luke hated to admit-- the idea of having an addiction, something that could control him in some way, he hated even thinking about it. Besides, he felt that it'd make him seem weak, and that wasn't something he wanted with Lux around.

"I mean everything has room for improvement; the human race is forever evolving and adapting and changing. We seek to improve anything and everything in every which way possible. An attitude like that isn't going to get you very far - things just take hard-work and dedication but any goal is achievable in the end," Emmeline said, oblivious to her tangent as she picked up her pencil again and went back to shading her rocket skeleton's design, trying to make it more professional and official. She could hang it on her wall if it looked good enough, up there with all her other prototype designs and blueprints. "Unless, of course, your goal is to ride a unicorn in which case I have bad news for you."

Just to unnerve Juno's nerves further, he decided to lean toward Frankie and greet her with a kiss on the cheek, instead of answering Juno's question.

"You're alright?" He asked his friend in a bored voice, hiding his actual concern.

Angel had made it clear in the school that nobody was to bother his friends, and it wasn't typical of the girl to get in trouble, so if someone or something had caused Frankie's presence in the detention, he wanted to know.

Casually moving his attention back to the school's princess, Angel sneered, passing an hand through his hair.

"Do not try to sway the conversation Bradshaw, that isn't going to work, I know why you're here. Got your panties up in a bunch huh?"

The eighteen year old snickered viciously, moving his eyes around the room once again just in time to catch Sam giving him a mocking grin just near by Arthur's smiling face.

"If I were you I'd try to keep those few brain cells left safe, Hain."

Angel's bad temper was the one reason for which he was in detention, Juno could probably tell that by herself.

Rylee Adams

Rylee looked at Sam, and scoffed. "Yeah. On my list of people who dint like me, he's like, number two. Plus, he's just a pompous asshole," She shrugged it off, not aware he could probably hear her. "Just ignore most everyone," Rylee said with a small chuckle.

"I think so too, actually - I like learning, but my time in high school has made me hate it."  Lux shrugged, thinking back to elementary and middle school when she had really enjoyed spending her time there; even during the subjects she hated, like math, she still thought of it as a good and fun way to spend her time.  Not so much after she started high school, however, because Lux saw through the condescending smiles and fake promises to help students achieve the best grades they could.  She was a firm believer that the system was working against them to weed out the weak ones.  The blonde rolled her eyes at Emmeline's rambles, frowning as she spoke: "What about those that bust their asses, then?  And why are you even in detention if you're such a good student?"  At times, Lux could have a sharp tongue, and occasionally her natural crankiness would poke through.

She turned back to Luke and gave a soft laugh.  "Wow, it's not everyday one hears that the infamous Luke Maddox failed in sweet-talking somebody.  Could he be losing his touch?"  Lux raised her eyebrows, testing the boy in front of her's patience with an amused smirk dusting itself across her lips.  "Guess what I'm in here for."

Frankie decided to zone out from everything and just think, she needed to anyway after the recent move and trying to find her spot at her new school. Yet her time trying to think was quickly interrupted when Juno, one of her good friends, Juno Bradshaw. She nodded to Juno's advice, taking small mental notes in her brain for later, "I'm not panicking," She retorted with a cheeky know-it-all tone, "I'm just being my usual hysterical self."  Her lips formed a smirk as her fingernails began to tap her long fingernails against the notepad. In a quick moment, Frankie felt an unknown pair of lips kissing her cheek for a split second. She felt her nerves tingle with surprise and anxiety, not something she expected.

"You alright?" Frankie nodded, slowly placing her head on her right arm for support. She was tired yet once again after staying up during the night trying to write a new song, it was Frankie's way of expressing herself in a non-aggressive way but unlike two days ago, trying to annoy Frankie was a bad idea, especially after not drinking coffee for the day. Frankie was brought back to reality when she heard Angel speak, she rolled her eyes and sharply punch her friend in the shoulder, "Quit it Angel," Frankie hissed quietly under her breathe, "Don't dig yourself a bigger hole."

"Art, actually life is pretty good. Practice these past days have been great, but some cons of them are that right afterwards there's always the jocks that come to us and start flirting. I can't help to leave practice right after." She shrugged her shoulders and ran her hands through his perfectly smooth and straight blonde hair. She grinned and said, "Your life must be great." Her eyes drifted away from Arthur, but her hand still stroking his hair, to Angel's. She replied to the boy's remarks and said, "Pretty much every type of person is here, Angel. Weird, huh? I wouldn't want to stay here for five hours..." She saw his wink and she giggled quietly. She looked over a few feet back and there Lux was. She told Arthur, "I'll be back, Art." Then she winked at him and walked slowly toward Lux. She gave a fake and sarcastic laugh towards the tease her best friend had just given her and said, "Um. Nothing really. Just some situation about me trying to stop one of those annoying jocks that are like pesticides from punching nerds. Ends up, the principle thinks I was 'helping'..." She rolled her eyes ever so slightly and then she said, "What about you?" She stood there with one hand on her hip and one twirling a strand of her hair around and around slightly.

OUTFIT

Garnet smirked as Seth pulled out a chair for her, sitting down with her left arm around his shoulders. She turned to face him, her brown eyes scanning his scarred face. The faint scars on his face stood out against his tanner skin, his long eyelashes grazed against his cheeks, and his hazel eyes peered back at her. She blushed, turning her head away to focus on Maddox, who was currently giving her a wave. At least he bothered to greet her, unlike all the other fucks in the room with her. Angel was here, the asshole of the school. He was heartless as all hell, hot, but INCREDIBLY stupid. Garnet used to have a crush on him in freshman year when he was decent, what a joke. He clearly loved Princess Juno, who wasn't terrible, but she looked like a whore, just like Jessica.

To shake her from her thoughts, Seth spoke up again, giving her a large smile. Suddenly, Garnet realized that she was still sitting down in the chair that Seth grabbed for her. "Hey there sweet cheeks;" She said, tapping her fingers on her arm. "Busted? My right arm and ribs are more busted than I am..." Her eyes peered at the new people entering the room, giving them a slight sneer. "Anyways," She turned back to the boys, ignoring Maddox's conversation. "You and Maddi here skipped class? I broke into the school, got caught, then pushed out a window. I'm lucky I didn't get the cops called on me. Try living on the wild side some more, Seth."

Arthur

Art received some pleasure from Sam's apparent pleasant mood.  When his friends weren't in the best head space in terms of contentedness, he was usually brought down with them.  His feelings were fickle and often different from one moment to the next, usually completely unpredictably.  Still basking from the physical attention he had received from Alice's hand in his hair, a genuinely amiable expression was present in his face.  He nodded in response to Sam's words, eyes following the loose strand of hair that Sam curled around his finger.  "She is, of course.  You know, we grew up together and everything.  It is difficult a lot of the time, but I've never actually thought about it too hard.  That's probably isn't a good thing, but whatever."  He shrugged with a brief, though slightly sharp chuckle.

He noticed Sam direct a grin that was a bit on the antagonistic side somewhere away from him.  Following his gaze, he caught sight of Angel, who then spoke in response to the look Sam gave him.  His mood quickly dampened, Arthur's smile dropping, his shoulders slightly tensing.  These days, Angel's presence only proved to cause discomfort for him.  It was something of a sad fact for him to accept, though mostly everything about the circumstance was.  "Really, Angel?  Isn't it a little too early for threats?"  He responded in slight defense of his friend.  His response was quick, though a little more genuine than sharp.  He should have expected that Angel would be here, but with everything else going on, he hadn't thought of it.  As a result, it took him a bit by surprise, not giving himself time to prepare for what the day may truly provide.
