Fantasy Rosewind Tavern (Walk in Always Welcome!)

Shiki huffed"He just doesn't want to eat it, that's all! It's not poisonous!"

Temota shrugged. She didn't eat anything yet. She wasn't even hungry

"It's not...?" She looked up at Shiki, and one could see wide black eyes. "Oh... that's a relief." Her thin lips curved into a smile as she reached for the salmon.

Arrow groaned. "There goes another one. So, little lady, what's your name?"

"Hm? Ishkira. That's my family name."

Shiki smiled"That means you have another name?"

Temota nodded at Ishkira in greeting before going back to her business. She secretly hoped she wasn't as annoying as Arrow, but it seemed that she wasn't

Ishkira nodded. "Yes, I have another name. I'm not allowed to share it, though. That's what mother and father said." The girl couldn't have been older than twelve, with her round face and short stature.

"So, what's a nine year-old doing at the round table?"

"I'm... not nine..." Ishkira pouted.

Arrow rolled his eyes. "Bullshit, you're definitely not older than, like, ten."

"I'm eighty-six..."

He laughed. "Oh, damn, an elf, that explains it- dear God, an elf! Priceless!"

Shiki was also surprised"Eighty six! That's alot.."

Temota looked up interested "That's interesting. We have an elf right there and he looks like my dad" She pointed at Rhyse in a joking manner

"What's a kid like you doing outside the forest?"

"I'm not a kid," she protested quietly, "and I come from the North. Not all elves are from the forest."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever, the point remains-"

"That's personal, sir, and I'd rather not get into it." Ishkira shook her head, then looked around at everyone else. "Did you all get this letter...?" The girl, cloaked head to toe in shades of blue and white- including the hands- removed her left arm's glove and proceeded to take off the hand, as well. She pulled a tightly-rolled piece of paper from it and closed the arm back up, before raising the paper. "It said to come here... I don't know why I did it, but, well, here I am..."

Shiki and Temota nodded and took out their own letters.

"So basically, these..Gods here want us to stop the darkness from covering the world by defeating their sister" Temota explained

"Gods?" Ishkira looked curiously at the two mysterious figures. "They don't look like Corellan or Alane, or, really, anyone. Are you sure those are gods...?"

"No, they're not, they're mages," Arrow called, filing his nails.

Ishkira nodded. "Yeah... Corellan has white hair, and Alane's skin is blue like frost, and they wear capes of seal velvet. So those can't be gods. You're not gods, right, mister, miss?"

Temota shrugged. She didn't believe in gods. There

"I have no Idea..Maybe they are? Well, I'm clueless" Shiki said

Ishkira sighed. "Thank you anyways... wait, how old is everyone...? I'm in a room full of babies," she lamented.

Arrow rolled his eyes. "They're more mature than you are."

"Very few humans are," she said importantly, pulling down her hood to reveal messy black hair, tied into a low ponytail.

Arrow fell silent, the only sound from him being the filing and cutting of his nails.

Ishkira smiled around at everyone. "Thank you for being so welcoming."

Temota sighed"We're twenty three..I'm ten seconds older" She gestured at herself and her twin who was currently messing around with his single, long brown braid

"No problem" Shiki smiled. She reminded him of his cousin

"Ten seconds? What an accomplishment." There wasn't a hint of sarcasm in her voice- she seemed to be completely genuine. "Why is it raining so much out- oh, this isn't natural..." She clutched her head suddenly, seeming to be ill. "No, no, no, I don't like this at all..."

Temota didn't care either way, but was curious"What's wrong? You don't like magic rain?" She started looking for one of the medicinal her she had in her bag

"No, we're not on human soil. I don't know where we are- astral realm? But it's not... natural..." She sighed and flipped her hood and mask back up. "Why is magical rain... necessary...? Are we being kept here...?"

Temota tensed"The god-mages did it..They probaly didn't want normal people seeing this.." She raised a brow in suspicion. Why would they do that?

Shiki stood up and went to the nearest window and tensed"Uh..Guys? Why isn't there a ground or a town anymore?"

"I don't know, but it's a bad aura from this place... maybe an evil spirit...?" She looked around, then at the ceiling. "Some sage...? Would anyone happen to have some, I mean."

Temota blinked and checked her bag. She took out a pouch of some sort."Here, these have herbs I've collected. Maybe there's some sage in there?" She gave them to Ishkira

Shiki came back, sitting down, looking like he was going to puke for a minute before shaking it off

She took the bag gratefully and started rummaging through it, her disappointed face displaying the result. "There's nothing... thank you anyways..." She passed it back and sighed. "Well, we're on the astral plane. This is why elves don't deal with this... with extradimensional magic, I mean..."

Temota took back the bag"You guys deal with what?" She kicked the thought of her being annoying out of her head. She was interesting just like Emerald

"Well, my tribe always dealt with ice. We kept everything in motion. We take what we need and carefully cull the overpopulation, and you get harmony." She laughed softly. "But, well, that's no longer the case. I know the elves in the North are forbidden to try and cross the planes... but I'm not sure about everywhere else..."

"That magic is dark stuff..." She rubbed her shoulder unconsciously, her face darkening. "But that's how I ended up here, yes..."

Temota nodded"If you feel uncomfotable with my questions, I can stop.." She sighed. She knew well that to be a good person, you'd break the rules or bend them.

"Oh, huh?" She straightened up again, smiling once more. "I'm sorry, that's quite a dark topic. Why don't we talk about lighter things?"

Temota gave her a nearly visible small smile"Okay..First things first. I'm Temotamiku Doruga, Call me Temotamiku or Temota, nothing else" She glanced at Arrow at the last part
