Roger's Academy for the Unknown [RP]

Helena shook her head just to feel her hair bounce around it again. She enjoyed its shortness, only for her attention to be brought back to the cat as he spoke. “Banshee eh? Those are fun to play with if you do it the right way.” Her eyes glanced about as in hopes to find it. “Which direction? Think it’s some new kid who hasn’t even learned how to talk correctly? Damn it would be no fun to go around with earplugs none stop again.” Pausing she smirked as he gave her his name and protested what she called him. “I call a dog a dog and a ***** a *****, what you don’t like being a cat or something?” She headed to him glancing over his music system only to giggle. “You must be overly sensitive, if you normally listen to that crap and the scream still got to you.”

"I know how this is going to go. I've been on the internet. I'm going to try to defend myself but then you turn it around and offend me even more. I think the sound came from that way" He said as he pointed down the hall. "Why don't you go play with the banshee and leave me alone." He started to listen to his music to try and get the ringing out of his ears.

Helena paused at his words, offend him? Here she was just being truthful and playful in her eyes. ***** was just another name for cat after all. Puss in boots was a famous neko boy thingy after all. “Aw, did I get your hair to stand up on the back of your head?” She would try to hug him then ruffle his hair before walking off. “Alright I’ll just stick to kitty then. Try not to get so ruffled so easily . . . life’s short, enjoy it and have fun. Maybe if I see you around I’ll drop you some more jamming tunes than some of that nonsense you have there.”

Blake kind of felt bad; he was usually calmer than that. "Wait... I'm sorry. I was irritated by that sound and I thought you were insulting me by calling me a *****." He said. "People nowadays don't use that word as another name for a cat."

Helena actually paused when he called out to her. Slowly She glanced back at him with a smirk only to laugh some. “Yeah? Well I’ll give you a little hint; insults are only insults if you let them be.” Pausing she glanced him over before heading back his way. “Names Helena Gemini, if it helps I’m more of a cat person than a dog person. I prefer their self dependant ways. Dogs follow you around like an idiot way to much . . . give me someone with pride and a brain and willing to stand out and up for what they want to and you have my style down pack.”

"Yeah..." Blake said. "By the way, what are you? It's obvious that I'm a neko, but I'm not sure exactly what you are. Are you the astrological being Gemini or something else?"

When she was asked what she was Helena’s smile faded a touch. “I guess you could say I’m human in ways.” She gave a little laugh shaken her head, even she wasn’t sure what she was. “I mean I have a bit more strength and such than humans . . . and a bit of . . . what did my parents call it? A disorder, that’s it. That’s what you get for experimenting on yourself when you’re pregnant.” Another weak laugh, she surely wasn’t glad she had to share her time with another. A pause after awhile and she would glare him down. “You have a problem with what I am?”

"I don't see why I wouldn't... that is unless you can make some kind of loud sound like the banshee." He said. "So basically, you are actually two different people in one... Anything else I should know?"

Helena was starting to slightly get annoyed by the boy in front of her. All these questions, why did he care to know this stuff about her anyways. “Yeah . . . I’m easy to get mad . . . and when I get mad usually I end up punching someone’s lights out.” She frowned crossing her arms before looking him over. “Why all the questions anyways? Didn’t you ever hear curiosity killed the cat?”

"If I had a dollar for every time I heard that..." Blake thought. "Alright, let's talk about something else then. What kind of music do you listen to? I usually listen to video game OSTs and remixes, but I also like other instrumental songs."

Helena paused when he started to speak of music. She was about to open her mouth only for him to mention boring stuff, or nerdware as she liked to call it. Shuttering she merely shook her head. “You just lost all your cool points with me kitty-cat. I tried to listen to some of that junk once since Janet was all into it. I prefer the more heavy and deep stuff, the stuff you can rock out too.” Her eyes drifted back to his player. “Seeing as you are probably a music buff that will probably ruin any fun we may have had. Unless . . . you happen to be good with a spray can of paint?”

"I've never used spray paint. but I like rock music too. Instrumental songs are just songs without lyrics. Maybe if you listened to one you might like it. I have a good rock song on my mp3 player." He said as he went through his mp3 player to find the song he was looking for. "Although I'm not forcing you to listen to it."

When he spoke of never using spray paint Helena’s face just lit up. “Cat, you’re missing out on one of the greatest ways of expression.” If he allowed she would place an arm around him trying to lead him to where she knew some paint was. “Art is one of the greatest things we have after all.” His speech of music had her lift an eyebrow and shrug. “Sure, why not. As long as it doesn’t bore me so much I get replaced.”

Blake let Helena lead him to where the paint was and gave her the earphones to his mp3 player and played a song (

). He wondered if she was the kind of person to use the spray paint for vandalism. He figured that he would try it out as long as it didn't become vandalism.

Helena of course was willing to try new things. She listened carefully before sighing and removing the headphones offering them back. “Sounds like that classical crap Janet listens to but more upbeat. That’s just not my style.” At the paints she glanced over them all as if trying to decide what to pick, or what art she would start with. “What’s a great way to say I’m back and you know it? But in a painting? That’s the hard part . . . finding the perfect way to express yourself and place. Any ideas?”

Blake took back the earphones somewhat disappointed, and briefly wondering if she was talking about the same song. When she asked him about the place to do it he replied "I probably wouldn't know. Like I said, I'm new at this." He figured that since she tried out his music, he could try out her way of painting.

Pen held poised in one hand above papers held steady by the other, Mitchell was disturbed from his thoughts by a sudden all to familiar stirring in surrouding though did not look up from his work, his expression softening, the left hand corner of his lips pulled ever so sightly upward in smile as the headmistress' voice reverabated throughout the infirmary like a lullaby, beackoning him forth.

Carmen. As disturbing as the day he had first spoken to her and those inbetween it seemed and he sat back with a sigh looking over his work load, brow furrowing in slight frustration before reaching out to shift between the the papers in front of him; he could not leave these out like this.

Pulling out several papers he rough handedly jotted several notes and acronyms for later reference, highlighting what needed to be reviewed and updated in a scripted scrawl as he simultaneously sorted them, before finally retreiving the Sandman's among several other student's folders on the floor beside him and replacing the pages inside with a somewhat flustered air. Carefully sealing them in the appropriate cabinets out of reach before exiting the infirmary.

. . .

"Huh?" He was mid way to the teachers lounge when a familiar figure drifted by in trance, and the Stag's hand raised in reflection of the greeting Kibeth directed at him and giving him reason to pause in silent observation, mouth quirking in amusement before facing forwards, shaking his head and continuing on his way.

The sound of the banshee's cry not far off a short soon after caused him to draw both hands up to his ears even as his body simultaneously fought to reverse the damage instantaneously, enabling him to right himself quicker than most. It could not however relieve the shock and as he took a momment to right himself he glanced about, registering and pinpointing the same effect that the sound had had on the hearing of those nearby closing his eyes muttering and muttering a silent curse. Already imagining the number of students he would have lined up outside his 'office', a hand drawing up to smooth over his brow as he continued on his way.

This was perhaps one of those times he would have otherwise felt a migraine coming on.

"Reg. . . "

Leaning back against the wall, breath falling heavy, still startled by the sound, Remy folded his legs, the knee of one leg slightly raised as he rested a palm against the other and held the other against an ear. What was that? He breathed deep, once, twice, three times, again, unsettled, determined to be calm before closing his eyes, not for the first time uncertainty setting in and he rested his head back with a gentle thud, staring up at the lights above, looking through the eyes of an unfamiliar body as the realisation of another year set in.

Scarelet went . . . well scarlet her face blushed a bright red and looked down at the water, watching hjs reflection in the water but pretending she wasnt, he was adorable she wouldnt ever say that or perhaps she should and his nervousness? well thats what she thought it was was adorable. he seemed to ve hyper and she didnt know how to deal with that. . it alway made her laught though she giggled slightly. "your cute." she blushed more but at least sh was coming out of her shell a little. she shook her head and smiled

Helena merely rolled her eyes as he seemed to have no input. “Fine, just help me carry the stuff then.” Using a few buckets she filled them as much as she could with spray can’s before handing him one to carry as she took two of them herself. “The cafeteria always seems boring . . . we should make a great mural reminding them of just how awesome we can be. You know stand out above the rest and keep shinning strong.” Without even waiting for his reply she was off heading in that direction.

Helena both hand full would past by another student that seemed effected. Pausing she sighed placing down her buckets before reaching a hand out to help him up. “What is this school full of whimps all of a sudden?” Rolling her eyes she moved to pick her buckets back up. “We’re going to do some art . . . you coming?” As if they have known each other for years she treated him like a friend, or well someone she was used to bossing around.

Blake picked up the buckets, and then she said where they were going to do it. "Wait, are they going to be okay with it?" He said cautiously. He really didn't want to get into trouble for something like this.

Whimp? Dragging eyes down to the small hand that was held out before him, Remy followed the extended limb up to it's owner, the light of the window above setting the girls red hair aflame with it's cast, his eyes shifting over bright lit features before meeting unfamiliar eyes. He had never seen her before, but then, had he really ever seen anyone? The majority of his school life spent aiming to be invisible to save from embarrassment or in the infirmary, and he took a moment, hesitating before stealing himself enough to ask as his eyes shifted to the boy standing with her as they spoke, moving to linger on the bucket of spray paints in his grasp.

"Art?" Remy enquired cautiously.

Helena seemed not to even notice Blake’s slight protest at first only to laugh it off. “Don’t tell me you’re a scaredy cat. Who cares what they think? It’s art, it’s suppose to be all freedom of expression. You can’t tell me that the lunchroom doesn’t look dull with nothing but walls and well tables and crap.” She gave Blake a sly look at that. “You do something amazing I may even start calling you by name.”

When the new boy asked what was going on she just smiled. “That’s right, going to do something epic in the lunchroom on the walls. Something to make them a lot less boring, you coming or not?” She paused realizing something before turning to look at them both kicking herself for not thinking of this before. “Unless you’re a snitch and are just waiting for me to leave to rat me out, you guy aren’t snitches are you?”

"Forget it." Blake said as he put down the buckets. "Go ahead and call me a scaredy cat, I don't care. I'm out of here." He began to walk away from Helena.

Remy visibly blanched in his surprise at the sudden question and change in direction, his expression opening as pale lips parted, blue eyes flicking back up to the red head.

"No!" His voice loud in the otherwise desert hall and he turned his head to glance along it's length, he did not know what else to say to that, not entirely sure how to answer, fully aware that memories could sometimes betray in ways a person least expected. . . although usually this was not a problem encountered by him, the one observing the betrayal. Did that count? Probably not, and he reached out a heavy hand to grasp hers, already struggling to push himself upright as he did so.

"No. . ." Remy said more calmly this time, though he was saved from his continued wonder at the other boy's sudden outburst, and he paused in his ascent, eyes shifting to the other individual in sudden avid and somewhat confused attention, uncertainty wavering his gaze.

Helena frowned at the cat chickened out, only to shrug some. As long as he didn’t tell on her he could stick to his guns all he wanted. He didn’t seem anywhere near her type anyways. Of course that followed by the loud no from the other boy. Her eyes glancing to him unsure of which question he spoke of. When he suddenly grabbed her hand she just smirked. The second no telling her he wasn’t a snitch but probably wasn’t coming along anyways. No big . . . she was used to doing things alone. Once the kid was well situated she shrugged. “Can’t force you, but I’m telling you, you’re missing quite a bit of fun and a chance to show who you are in ways.”
