Good news! I have been PMing with Yum3ko Yum3ko and we will soon have a new player in the game. She is new to the system, so I would ask of everyone to welcome her and offer up any assistance that you can give.
 
Everyone had to start somewhere. Not everyone can be an old hat like Sherwood . . . he's only been a member of the site since 2005.
 
Don't pay too much attention to her. I have a daughter as old as Psychie.

So! Lets start getting into the meat of making up a character. We currently have an NPC that is the team's radio man, but we don't have a scientist or medical doctor focused character in the game yet. Do either one of those sound interesting to you?
 
Yum3ko Yum3ko Any thoughts on your character? I can help answer any questions you have, or I can give you a completed sheet. I just need a direction to go in for you that you'll enjoy playing.
 
Hmm, that would fit with an OC of mine a little. She's one who's quite interested in the study of human Anatomy and the reaction of different chemicals to one's body. But with the appearance of things that aren't human she would've been a little, excited(?) To study and learn about these new creatures and how their bodies work, if that makes sense
 
So, a scientist/doctor. I can work with that. Would you like me to make up the sheet for you?

Oh I've been there. One dnd campaign, I liked to roll for odd things here and there. And got the oddest crits ever. To the point it seemed like my char was secretly an master wizard.

Once I ended up rolling a 1 on an arcana check. The gm being cheeky said fighter was convinced that he knew a secret technique that if he stood on his head for one hour that a portal would open up.

Well, being cheeky back, I asked to roll for magic.

Got a nat twenty and ended up opening that portal.

A funny scene made funnier. Because the gm later forgot about that, and when we were trapped in a cage I was able to roll and use that portal again to get us out.


Good times.

I just learned that DrivethruRPG has a Robotech PDF for the Savage Worlds system! It is running only 12 bucks. Just in case anyone is interested.
 
I have to get it first! lol Once I do, I might have to give it a try.
