Question: Sniper adds +2 to Aimed and Called Shots. If I select Sniper, will that affect Dreamy's Disarm attempts?

If anyone's interested, here's what Dreamy receives at 4th level in total. How about your character?

Spoiler: Level 4.

Reset Action Points to 7 (5 + 1/2 our level).
+1 to Mental Affinity (increasing it to 22 for the bard in her - plus being more charismatic means feeling more free. Plus, hey! 70% chance to Charm/Intimidate? Yes, please!).
+1 to Strike and +2 to Backflip/Cartwheel (Ninjitsu).
4th level "Other" Skill: Paramedic (improves vampire staking bonus on top of life-saving techniques!).
4th level Secondary Skills (2): Wardrobe and Grooming (of course, she'll need help with color-coding). Maybe Sniper?
Note: I also swapped W.P. Blunt for W.P. Staff (Hand to Hand Ninjitsu offers Staff, not Blunt. My error.)
Note: I'd like to get Dreamy a few new spells, but darned if I know if we pass any places that deal in magic or anything of the like. =)

Concerning Dreamy and roleplaying... I have been thinking of roleplaying Dreamy a bit differently. I have never played a Blind Warrior Woman and one thing they can do is cocoon themselves and basically live another life.

They do this when their minds are bodies are too damaged to be of much use anymore. I thought, "What if Dreamy feels this way because of her recent past and events and by cocooning herself, she becomes a slightly different Dreamy - one completely free of Splugorth influence and younger in perspective?"

By doing so, she would have to learn about the party again. And that might make some for some really fun roleplaying. She would also be closer to the original Dreamy than I created back in HERO champions.

The only drawback I can think of is that she would have to lose half of her experience levels and go from fourth level back down the second unless our game master says no to that.

Thoughts?

Well, on the side of having a character that you would really enjoy playing, I am all for the idea, but how would it work? I confess I am not as fully up on the Blind Women as you are to know about this cocooning effect that you are talking about. How long does it take for this effect to happen?

1a. Dreamy comes to terms with the idea that if the sudden arrival of a Splugorth Slaver Minion scared her so badly that it nearly locked her back into a slave mentality that was - in truth - willing to side with the Splugorth against her own friends, then it is time to clone herself.

1b. "Remember." Dreamy asks for Owl's blessing to help her new clone understand as much as possible. She also calls upon Lumpy, her symbiote "bestie" to help the new clone remember, adapt, and be truly free to live a new life. She then puts pen to notebook and writes in Braille (her supernatural sense of touch will be able to feel the ink). She delivers [i[everything[/i] the new Dreamy will need to know including who is who in her party, her goals, and why she did this.

Among the major reasons? She's long, long overdue (her current clone is 26 when the average turnaround is 12 years). She will finally and honestly be free of the Splugorth hold over her. She imagines she'll be much happier as she frees herself from all of her emotional nightmare memories (which have only just now peaked with her understanding that she's still scared of the Splugorth while her new clone might not be).

During this process, she explains to everyone in the party (Colsons included) what she is doing, why, how this is completely natural for her people, and how the new Dreamy clone is likely to be different than the Dreamy leaving this Megaverse.

1c. Dreamy finds a secluded spot (preferably a space inside of the Mountaineer - she requires a safe and secluded space) and begins the process of cocooning herself by way of entering a trance. Soon, an ectoplasmic cocoon encompasses her "old" body and 48 hours later, the new replaces the old (think caterpillar and butterfly).

2. 48 hours.

If anyone is interested in the fine details, see Rifts World Book 2: Atlantis, page 50. This book contains their old statistics (Rifts Sourcebook One Revised has her current statistics). Still, the details in their background here are pretty interesting and are part of the inspiration for me to do this. =)

Important note to Psychie: Upon rereading Atlantis, a Blind Warrior Women secondary skills vanish as well as any augmentations (including symbiotic - meaning Lumpy). I just learned this. If she loses Lumpy, she ceases to be a Mega-damage being (among other bad things).

But... again with your approval, she could keep both? What's your call?

With Dreamy's assurances that this is all normal and a natural thing for the Altarians, Raven's concerns would be addressed and he would offer up any aid in getting the new Dreamy up to speed with who everyone is and what the team is trying to do.

I'd feel kind of (insert something bad here) if I changed Dreamy into a solely S.D.C. creature only to have her atomized by a single Mega-damage hit.

I just realized - Dreamy still has her talisman and Armor of Ithan spells to fall back on if she isn't allowed to keep Lumpy. That would be a super-drag if it happened, but hey, I'm the one that started this conversation; I should at least follow through as honorably as I can. It wouldn't be right if I hid these matters just for the chance to keep them. =)

According to the Rifts Atlantis book, Blind Warrior Women have none of the deeply personal memories of their clone-mother. This is why Dreamy doesn't remember anyone; all of your characters were deeply personal to her.

They do pass down racial memories.

Add to this the journal Dreamy passed down to herself and any wisdom that Owl and Lumpy offer, and boom-done - This is the Dreamy that I think is accurate now? What do you think?

We have a new hosted project on RP Nation. It's the first new hosted project in years. I was asked if I wanted to show that both of my games are "Closed" to new players and so you'll see that word beside both of my games titles now.
