The two Tanks visible are the biggest targets out so far.

You can engage from as far back as you want, but there is not much in the way of high ground for you to be on within range of your Boom Gun. The best you can hope for is a small rise that is perhaps 50 feet tall about 10,000 feet out.
Cool beans. I'll take it.

Are there any vulnerable looking segments, or target spots in general, on the tank?

Not really. It is a heavily armored hover/grav tank, built to endure the worst weapon fire and come out on top.

Well I am known for having the worst weapon fire... but probably not in the way you were referring to there.

So no real areas of things to disable?

There is the main hull, the main turret, and small laser turrets on the forward hull.

Hey D.?

/silly on

You've got a Boom Gun. To heck with the trick shots - just blow the hell out of that thing so it stops shooting at us. Heh! =)

/silly off =)

Called shots take two actions to make, otherwise your normal to-hit attack will go against the main body of the target. Normal Aiming just uses a standard action.

Seriously, though. Sherwood? Is this the same type of tank we took down earlier? It was tough but it wasn't "all that" if you get my meaning. =)

But that's half the fun! Like the thrill of a lucky second crit in a row and from two miles the round somehow manages to slide right down the barrel. Astronimacal odds. But it would be awesome.

But i suppose I should try and play more conservatively.

D., you make me laugh, dude! I just like the way you think. =)

D. Rex D. Rex Do whatever is the most fun for you, bud! =)

EDIT: I just reread this. Sorry if I sounded like I was trying to rush you - that wasn't my intent. I just wanted to point out that the tanks aren't so tough that you can't take them down as we did. Alone, I bet it would take Daisy less than two rounds to do it. Most importantly, have fun! If you want to try for the ultimate shot, go for it! You never know! Besides, that's why we have Bonus (Action) points, right? =)

Lol unless bonus points = autocrit, then I'm not going to need it. Daisy has a monstrous +19 to hit with the Boom Gun.

Ouch - and that gun hurts quite a bit as well... glad we've got you on our side.

Unreal. A 1 followed by a 1 followed by a 2. Those virtual d20s are just asleep at the wheel. Give me good ol' polyhedrons any day. =)

How to roll your dice by Dawnforged.

I hate to say it, but I have had players do exactly what he's talking about! I also enjoyed some of the comments below his video. I like hearing fellow gamers talk about their Good Times. Hope you do too. =)

Bad luck can be just as prevalent on physical dice, unfortunately. RPN's are demanding their share of blood again though. The fewer dice rolled at a time, the more suspect their track record can become.

As for the video, I have also seen players fudge dice at the table. Not many thankfully, but some.

Oh, definitely! But at least with physical dice, the lifelong gamer that I am can blame it on something other than a program's algorithm, you know? During tabletop, if my dice consistently roll low, I ask to switch dice (or if I'm running the game, I change dice). There is no such option when using a dice roller program. I guess it takes some of the wonder out of it for me. No biggie, but I like to keep every bit of wonder and fun that comes my way. Besides, I just have always liked the sound of rolling dice! =)

Let me see - from my spot right now, there are ten dice within sight, and I'm about to stand up to search the eleventh - I think I can relate =)
As someone who has learnt about rping online, I've actually not run into most of the things he mentioned - RPN luckily has a system that makes it easy to decide which roll was the right one. Don't think I'm guilty of the things mentioned (if so, then by accident), though it has been tempting to ignore the rolls as a gm myself - you know, both the bad-ass monster that hits nothing, and the mere goblin who almost crits the group's well-armored fighter to death...

Guess we'll just have to do our best to make sure Sherwood has less and less to keep track of as the fight progresses. =]

In my head, my character Gradicus is just loving this! What better send-off into retirement could a guy like him get than the biggest battle we have ever had?

Loving this, I say! =)

I just have to share this with you guys and gals. It's a Wikipedia for Rifts and it's eye-opening and not just for the bits of profanity. Whoever put this together knows the game pretty well. Check it out sometime! I doubt that you'll regret the time spent. =)

Indeed. Thanks for sharing. I am always open to seeing more info on the Rifts system.

Yes! Found it! We did get six extra Talismans of the Blind Warrior Women from Atlantis! That would mean Terra, Shaona, and Grad have a grand total of 9! Those 6 were to be handed out to new members of our team. =)
