So many options out of the conversions books and the D-Bees books, and world books. It's crazy nuts. I was going to do some variation of Troll Headhunter or Ogre Crazy initially. Those seemed fun. The lizard-type folks like Grackle-Tooth, Larmac, and even Greot Hunters and Lanotaur Hunters are also pretty rad.

I think remember something about croc folk bounty hunters. They seemed pretty awesome.

But if I go scalie, sherwood might have trouble handling me.

Sherwood is the final say on what's what. Probably might want to stay away from Phase World, Three Galaxies, and Anvil Galaxies type stuff just because Jebus. I usually recommend people stay away from most of the South America stuff.

Amazonian Mech Pilot from Space with Chainsaw Blades is totally doable though.

We have so far an eclectic group of folks:

-Minotaur Cyberknight
-Technowizard
-True Atlantean Gladiator Undead Slayer
-Whatever Terra is (Atlantean master golem pilot something something wizard?)

Probably shouldn't go jolt evil. Aberrant at the most.

That he does, and with the exception of all my questions, I obey him unquestioningly(as a GM).

I don't know what any of those mean but I'll take your word for it.

And yup, that's my current plan.

Nah, evil isnt much my style. It tends to cause too much headache when trying to make them play nice. (Villain campaigns are another story)

I'm planning on checking out what the Palladium game's Dragon template looks like. I know the Savage Worlds one is pretty impressive, so I've been wanting to try one as a character.

I do recall Sherwood nixing the Cosmo Knight as a playable O.C.C.. but those guys and gals are serious heavy-hitters. =)

As a Dragon hatchling, am I starting the game either as an egg or just hatched? I noticed the requirement is a good alignment. So, I just wanted to make sure to remind everyone that the character's perception of morality and ethics will largely be determined by the people he communicates with, even if he has a bit of age to him.

Well, not to speak for anyone Rykon Rykon , but we've already had two major (and separate) alignment-related issues with prior PCs, both of whom left this game. I think right now good-aligned is a must (and I don't mean Aberrant-Evil). As for dragons, we did have a fellow begin this game with a dragon hatchling and his character had just come out of the egg. Have fun with yours!

Ha! I could be a Mutant dog soldier with a rocket launcher. Funnily enough I have a pic for that.

I'm sorry to hear that. Sounds like it was a fairly unpleasant split. Rest assured I have no intention to cause problems with the hatchling's alignment, only to ask if anyone is interested in being a teacher to a hatchling.

Given that there has already been one within this group, I'm not sure if it would be grating or not. I s'pose if that's the case I could fall back on trying a Leyline Walker. They were at least ridiculously powerful and versatile in Savage Rifts.

*raises hand*

I was about to prepare myself to jump into a very bizarre twist on Dennis the Menace were that to be the case.

I take back my previous statement. My offer remains. You seem to know what you would be getting into.

I don't think it would be grating at all. The player didn't play the dragon for very long, plus you (and D.) have been pretty cool players in Psychie's game. You'll be just fine here.

I have seen quite a lot in my days of roleplaying. Elves, dwarves, dragons, saiyans, demi-gods and everything between. Stuff can get real weird out there. Some of it is great fun. Some of it will make you look for something to rinse your eyeballs with. Others will leave you with memories that make you laugh awkwardly when reminded of them, often at inappropriate times.

In this case, a friend of mine has done a great job setting an example of a hatchling done well. So I'm prepared to adapt to things as they happen. The impressionability of hatchling dragons is probably the most interesting part of exploring them as a character to me.

I can say much the same.

So unless you want to leave it in the air, let me know! The more I been looking, the more ideas I been having. Can make something that skirts the lines of a miracle example to give some worth exploring.

One thing I've have been most enjoying about the dice rps, is getting to make test the bounds of what I can make. Something I didn't get to quite do very often. But I also still got it in me to make a grounded char.

Just to let our new players know, you will be starting out with the same xp as the rest of the party. Expect that, depending on your various OCC/RCC Xp charts you will be around 5th level.

What's up with this sudden burst of activity? Can't even take a few days off these days... welcome, both of you, looking forward to what you come up with!

Also: I certainly want this to continue - a bit late, I know, just thought I'd still answer that question. Got a lot more things to explore.

I could use some advice on a fairly fundamental decision.

I'm torn between Royal Frilled and Flame Wind variants of Dragon. I rather like that Flame Wind's abilities and flavor do make it feel like a true Dragon, immunity to fire, a breath weapon that hits hard, good core stats, etc. Royal Frilled, while having a bit of an embarrassing paralytic fart-breath power, is undeniably better statistically in all but speed.

If I make the sacrifice of the better attribute stack for rule of cool, is what I am losing in magic/psionic potential going to be a significant detriment to the character's ability to make meaningful contributions to the group's objectives? Are there skills/traits/etc. I can take to offset the comparative weakness? Would they help build M.D.C, Regeneration, Breath Weapon Damage, or magic/psi? Are there items or Techno-Wizard enhancements that could also help offset the difference?

Sherwood Sherwood , also for all the template attributes that roll at 3D6+X, do I roll that as 4D6+X as per what's posted in the character's thread or as printed?

My personal preference would be to go with the Frilled Dragon, but that is my own choice. I like the magic and Psi powers that you start with, and get with each level up. There are techno wizard items that are out there that you can pick up that will aid you in your abilities as you go, no matter which species you choose.

Hmm... other than Hand To Hand-Dragon (which I'm not sure I'll be permitted to take), are there skills I can take as the character advances that improve things like MDC, natural regeneration and other draconic traits like the teleporting?

Unfortunately, no. Those abilities only increase with age, and that only happens when you hit adulthood.
