Refuge [Inactive]

Xavier paused and thought for a second, trying to figure out why he was a daisy. 'Maybe it's because hair is kinda yellow, like a daisy,' he concluded, even though he didn't really know what a daisy looked like. Shooing the thought away, he smiled apologetically at Zero. "Ah, my mistake. I should have known, sorry. And I have no set destination, just taking a walk and have no idea where I am. Would you like to walk with me? You can show me where things are," he said, grabbing a brownie off the plate quickly and nibbling on it, enjoying the smell of chocolate that filled the air and also enjoying talking with Zero for some reason, even if they wasn't actually there in her world. 'Her world might be better,' he reasoned, taking another bite of brownie.
 
zero grinned at the prince. she looked around the woods as she tried to remember what destinations were near.


she headed to a back trail and pushed some leaves aside and made way for the prince


(she went to the back side and opened a door for xavier)


after the prince had passed her. zero skipped ahead. they walked a while passing empty or locked chambers until she found one of the many chambers houses that she liked. she slowly opened the front door and quietly showed the prince the inside. all around there were paintings and jars full of berry potions that zero used in her spare time to create images when she was off duty "this is the casters chamber. no one able to trespass because they always spill his potions. but zero can cast here anything she wants when shes off duty," zero puts a finger to her mouth showing that they need to be quiet. the faint sounds of snoring could be herd as a dark figure slept on the table.


"sh. mustn't disturb the image caster. he gets cranky quickly"


(zero lead xavier to the art room. the art teacher is sleeping on the desk. there is barely any light in the dark room)
 
Xavier followed Zero, keeping a mental map going as they walked around. When they stopped in the art room, he smiled. 'Good, a place for me to draw,' he thought, then smiled and suppressed a small laugh when he noticed the teacher and Zero acting quite. "Well, it's best we don't wake him then," he whispered, tiptoeing out of the room and being careful not to trip over anything. Outside the art room, Xavier looked up and down the hall, putting his hands in his pockets and wondering for a second if there were other people there while he waited for Zero to come into the hall.
 
zero had quietly closed the door and lead him down the path. she stopped in front a door. this one full of swirls. she peaked through the looking glass on it and when convinced no one was in she quietly opened the door "this chamber is where the sound caster dwells in in the red light..." zero giggles as she skipped in."big brother angel showed zero how to cast all the doohickies. she enjoys the threads more though." she seems to be looking for something. as she passes each doohickey she makes a few sounds. the fireflies dance along to her tunes. the last one she stops at and stares at it. it looks like a tree with many different colored leaves. zero sits on a stump in front of it. "this tree is one of zeros most enjoyable ones. " she looks back at him "would the prince mind if zero casts this doohickey?" (there in the music room. as zero crosses the room she plays a little of some of the instruments. she ends up sitting on the piano)
 
Xavier continued following Zero, pausing in the door to the music room and glancing around, listening as Zero played a few instruments as she went. When she sat at the piano, Xavier smiled and nodded, dragging a chair over to the big instrument so he could listen. "Oh no, I wouldn't mind at all Knight Zero. Cast away," he said, smiling at her and sitting back in the chair, pulling his legs up and putting his chin on his knees as Azeel and Jack both sat down on the other side of the room. 'I guess if they woln't go away then they can listen,' he thought, turning his attention back to Zero and silently cueing her to start playing.
 
Leo put out the half smoked cigarette, took a gum so his breath wouldn't smell so much smoke and sat on the bench next to Lyra. "If I'm gonna keep it short so.. Uhm, I get anxiety over some things and have panic attacks.. And I can get really horrible nightmares so I just wake up in the middle of the night and scream. My foster family kind of didn't want to take care of me anymore so they put me here." He looked down at his feet trying to avoid to meet her eyes. He sat quiet for a moment stroking his wrist and felt his scars. Then he looked up and looked into Lyras eyes for a few seconds. "What about you, why are you here?"
 
zer smiled at the prince, she usually hates it when others are there when she castes but he didnt seem to be uncomfortable with her.plus he was royalty so she just had to show him otherwise he wouldn't know how wonderful the spells were. she faced the leaves and laid her fingers on them. she closes her eyes and hums for a moment before she starts casting with her eyes closed. this spell was one that he mother angel taught her to cast. shes casted this so many times that she could do it with her eyes closed. and thats what she did. ) as she played she could here the fire flies dance and hum along with the spell. when she finished she opened her eyes to the prince "was the spell to the prince's liking?"
 
Louisiana angled herself to face him, sighing softly when he put out the unfinished cigarette, he could have finished it. While she never wanted to strike a cord with anyone when she asked that question, it was often inevitable and she was glad that he didn't put up too much of a guard with her. Once he had finished, she sort of nodded to him before taking a deep breath. When she exhale and sat straight, it was like her rib cage opened up, allowing him full access to her vulnerable soul that sat within. "I have anxiety as well, along with depression. My brother died while on a tour of duty and that's when it all started." She paused to reach up and rub his dog tags as she had earlier. "I have nightmares as well, usually having to do with Jackson. Not to mention his death left me with more than just a hole. I have a fear of getting close to anyone."
 
Emma gratefully took the medication from Hadley, swallowing it down with the water he provided. She was extremely thankful for all he was doing for her, and she didn't know how she could vocalize it to him. "Would you come cuddle with me?" Emma's voice was quiet and shy as she asked. She had never uttered those words aloud before and it seemed foreign to speak them aloud; even if it was to Hadley. She scooted over and opened up the blankets. "There's plenty of room and everything." Emma smiled a small smile in his direction.
 
Xavier sat silently as Zero played, staring at her wide eyed. He had honestly been expecting something harder and played with deeper notes, like what a vampire would play or something. But the song Zero played was light, happy and above all, simply beautiful. While she was playing, Xavier closed his eye and listened to the notes as the flowed through the air, a smile on his face. When the last note faded, he stood up and gave her a round of applause. "Bravo! Bravo! That was amazing! How'd you learn to play like that?" He sat down on the bench next to Zero and tapped a key a few times before looking at the pink haired girl and smiling. "Yes, it was. You can play really well."

Zero giggled. "The higher level spells that zero likes require two casters but zero only casts with brother note. " zero tapped a few keys at random "mother Angel always cast this spell with her voice whenever zero's demons comes....brother note taught zero to cast this spell on the leaves for when mother was at war...." zero was quiet for a moment looking a little sad but then that crazed happy go lucky smile appeared. She hopped up out off the chair and skipped to the exit door. "Third chamber is the world room. Don't Dally Prince daisy or the elves will catch up!" Zero Giggles (Lol. Its ok. ^-^)

Hadley smiled shyly and nodded. Never before had he ever laid down and cuddled with anyone, let alone a beautiful young woman. However, he was in love, and love does crazy things to the self-confidence. "I'd be happy to, dear." So, he happily got in bed beside her and under the blankets. He wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her just a little towards him, kissing her on the side of the cheek as he did so.
 
Xavier thought for a few seconds, trying to figure out who brother note and mother Angel were, but shrugged it off as her family nicknames. When Zero jumped up, Xavier flinched, the movement startling him before he too smiled, chuckling as he dragged himself to his feet and walked after Zero. "That would be bad, wouldn't it? Let's get going then, so neither of us gets caught." Smiling, he followed Zero out into the halls and wandered after her, then ran up and slid down the handrail of the stairs, passing by a girl standing at the top (Delilah) and stood at the bottom, putting his hands in his pockets and looking up at the girl as he waited for Zero, wondering if she was nice or not.
 
Under the time she talked he nodded along. When she was finished he sat quiet and then laid his hand on her wrist. "I'm so sorry to hear about your brother, I really am. I can say that I also have a fear of getting close to someone. I can't really trust people unless the person means a lot to me." It's something about her, I just want to get to know her better. "And can I just say something off topic, I think you're really beautiful!" He said with a smile on his face as he looked into her eyes.
 
When he went quiet, she awkwardly looked at him to ensure that he wasn't saying anything in a voice that was too soft for her to hear. The touch to her wrist was surprisingly comforting and it brought her from her thoughts, back into reality, away from the ebbing darkness that was depression. Lu gave a soft, almost happy sigh. "Looks like we're in a scarily similar boat. There are some days where I would give anything just to have him back. And then other days, it's enough to just feel his hand on my shoulder or to feel him mess with my hair." She turned slightly to gaze over her shoulder in hopes of seeing her brother but she wasn't disappointed when she didn't, because she knew she wouldn't. However for her, spirits were all around, which is why she spoke of her brother like she had. Leo's off topic comment almost made her head snap back to him, her cheeks all rosy. "Oh, well thank you very much."
 
Zero didn't change her pace when the Prince passed her. She knew she would catch up Though she did wanted to call out and make sure that he didn't get lost in this forest. He actually passed the world room(which is the game room) and then somehow went outside the forest into a wider bigger darker forest (meaning that they ended up outside in the garden where Delilah and Leo are. It's night time I guess) zero saw that other girl and hood. She slowed down and her care free smile dropped. She timidly walked around them then walked down halfway of the stairs. Zero sighed in relief then turned back to look at the Prince but froze. There behind him in the darkness. Was rabbit man.... a look of horror was placed on her face as she stared at rabbit man. Her strange mind once again forgot what she was doing and could only focuse on the dark figure as it raised its claws getting ready to strike him.(nothing is there this time) zero saw the stairs grow longer and she knew she wouldn't be able to help the Prince at all. Zero screamed at the top of her lungs and fell to the floor as she covered her eyes and curled into a tight ball. The once carefree child like girl crumbled into a huddled mass of non-stop screaming crying Insain looking girl.

Xavier's smile dropped of his face when Zero froze on the steps. The look in her eyes suggested something wasn't right. Slowly, Xavier took a step forward. "Zero?" He called quietly, wondering where her mind had taken her. Then she started screaming. Xavier froze for a brief moment before running up the steps to her. "Zero! Hey, what's wrong?" He put a hand on her back and rubbed in a circle, shushing her and trying to get her to calm down. It was something he had seen in a movie once, but doubted it would work. What Zero needed was probably medical help. He looked up the stairs and into the house, then bit his lip while thinking. 'Everyone can hear her probably, I don't need to go find anyone,' he thought, turning his attention back to Zero. "Come on Zero, it's ok. Nothing's there, you'll be fine," he muttered, trying to pull her out of whatever nightmare she was witnessing.
 
Zero couldn't stop screaming. It was like she was a broken record. Her vision had darkened as all she could hear was that God awful sound of rabbit man laughing. He enjoys it, He enjoys her misery. He won't stop laughing.she hates him. She really hates him. Suddenly creepy crawlies were on her. Zero wasn't only screaming. Now she was also crying hysterically as she slapped at them. They were biting her and it felt so REAL. She felt a pressure on her back but her frantic mind payed no attention to it as she couldn't see what it was nor had the time to ponder what it was. Spells! She needs to caste his minions away! Zero started to sing random words and hum out tunes but she was to frantic to make any proper spells. Zero started to wail and meaow like a cat when her spells didn't work as she still tries to swat those horrible bugs away.

When Lyra told Leo more about her brother he stroked her wrist with his thumb. When he noticed that her cheeks went all rosy he couldn't stop from smiling even more. Suddenly Leo's stomach started to rumble, he took his hand, the one that didn't lay on Lyras wrist, and held around his stomach a bit. "I'm hungry, maybe you heard.." Now his cheeks went a bit rosy. "Can we maybe go to the kitchen and eat something? It's getting darker anyway so.." God, does my English accent have to be so broad.. I hate it so much! He looked at her and smiled, he couldn't do anything else right now when he looked at her than just smile.
 
Lu smiled softly at the gentle movement of his thumb across her skin. She giggled when his stomach growled and nodded to him. "Yeah, we can go back in and get something to eat, well you can. I'm not really hungry right now." Standing, she sighed quietly, her hand had slipped from his grasp. For some odd reason, he made her comfortable and while she was still scared to get close, in a twisted way, knowing that he probably felt the same way brought her even more comfort. "So, where are you from? I mean obviously England because of the cute accent but where specifically?"
 
As Leo followed Lyra to the kitchen he laid his arm around her and exaggerated his broad accent. "Now my lady, I'm from the capital of Great Britain, London." When they entered the kitchen he walked directly to the fridge, he looked for something to eat. "I've lived there my whole life, so it feels pretty good to get away from there actually." He found some jam and peanut butter. As he made a pj sandwich he had a little smile on his face. "So where are you from?" He stopped what he was doing to look at her. "Do you want to split this?" He held the sandwich in his hand.
 
Kelly woke up and carefully got out of bed. She made her way towards her wardobe and looked at her clothes. After several minutes of thinking, she put on a green miniskirt with a blue thin shirt. She put ankle length white socks on and carefully put her sneakers on. She slowly made her way downstairs and went towards the kitchen to grab some breakfast. "Morning!" She said to everyone as she entered the kitchen.
 
Louisiana's cheeks heated up for a moment when she felt his arm drape itself around her, however she didn't try to shake it off. In fact, she leaned into him a bit, realizing for the first time how much she had been craving human touch and when he left her side to go to the fridge, she shuddered as if she were cold. To avoid looking anything close to desperate, she separated herself from him even more by hopping up and sitting on the counter across from him. "I'd always wanted to get out and travel, London was towards the top of my list actually... Oh, no thanks, I'm not hungry. But anyway, I'm from Montana, my parents own a fully functioning cattle ranch..." She bit her lip, looking off to the side. Home made her think of Jackson, had he not decided to join the Marines, that property would have been his. He'd always had such a passion for it, always more than happy to wake up before the sun and set to work, never once complaining. It wasn't that Mark didn't like it but he would never be in love with the job. The voice from behind her not only pulled her from her thoughts but caused her to jump as well, then laugh softly. "Well, someone's a little off with their timing."
 
"Ah, didn't meant to make you jump!" Kelly said after noticing Louisana jumping. "I only meant to get up in the morning instead of the afternoon again. Good thing i've got no lessons today." She said to Louisana as she went to wash her hands and was very careful with turning the taps. After washing her hands, she carefully made herself a small breakfast. She knew it was pointless to have a normal sized one due to the likely hood of lunch being soon. "I'm going for a swim after i've eaten, would anyone like to join me?" She asked the others in the kitchen. Swimming was one of the few physical activities that she could do.

After eating her very late breakfast, Kelly washed her things up whilst being very careful to avoid breaking anything. "I'll be at the pond. Hope you'll join me!" She said to the others as she carefully left the kitchen. She walked towards the pond whilst making sure she didn't stub her foot on anything. She arrived at the pond and carefully sat down near the edge to remove her sneakers and placed them on the ground. "Wonder if the others will join me." She wondered aloud as she carefully crawled towards the edge of the pond. She carefully slid herself into the water and began swimming.
