Nation Building Rebirth of Tyrium

Don't worry this RP is alive. Sieges are also a very important thing to talk about, good idea.
Rushed Defense (1 hour - 12 hours)- Spans 20ft wide, made of dirt, gives those housed in the defense +1 block. Basically a small dirt wall.

Basic Defense (13 hours - 24 hours)- Spans 30 ft wide, made of dirt and wood, gives those housed in the defense +2 block, and archers +1 attack. A small dirt wall with wooden supports that covers two sides.

Moderate Defense (25 hours - 36 hours)- Spans 35 ft wide, made of wood and stone blocks, gives those housed +3 defense, and archers +1 attack. A larger fort-like building, with three walls made of stone bricks and wooden supports.

Good Defense (36 hours - 48 hours)- Spans 40 ft wide, made of stone and wooden supports. Gives those housed +4 defense, and archers +2 attack and +10 range. A large building surrounded on four sides by walls. Has a second floor that is made of wood, on which archers stand to fire down at enemies.

Sieges are more complicated. Trade inward and outward is intercepted, giving the sieger both bonuses. If there is no food inside the city, those inside of the besieged city begin to starve after a week, and after two weeks half to population is dead. In a capitol, there is a month's supply of food in stores for every capitol, and each capitol has to designate an escape route. Escape route plans can be intercepted or discovered by assassins or scouts, however. If scouts or assassins find the documents for the escape routes, then plans can be made to intercept fleeing refugees, and stop food supply altogether.
sieges, when attacking should have 2-3 stages.

First is taking the wall

second is taking the sreets

third is taking the city fortress

What bonuses should walls and such give?

@Bobisdead123 Good idea.

Walls should give archers +10 range, +2 attack. Streets can be treated as wooded areas. +1 to sneak and stuff.
You should implement the trade system me and Cookie agreed on

There should be different "level" walls

Also need some bonuses for forts and castles.

Can you implement some of the suggestions I made for the Armor and Arms levels? Or at least take a look and tell me what u think

Basic Wooden wall - Thick tree trunks shoved into the ground to form a crude and basic wall. Unless multiple areas are broken into, it serves as a choke point since the attackers are.forced to go through the gate. If wall is broken, defender gets no bonuses

Wooden Wall - Wall made of two layers of thick tree trunks with a platform in between. Unless it is broken into it serves as a choke point at the gate. Gives defenders +2 block and archers +1 hit chance

Basic stone wall - small stone brick wall supported by wood. Serves as a choke point at gate unless broken into. Gives defenders +3 block and gives archer +1 hit chance and 5 more range

Small Stone wall - a small stone wall that serves as a choke point unless broken in to. Gives defenders +3, archers get +2 hit chance and 10 extra range

Stone wall - a stone wall that serves as a choke point unless broken in to. Gives defenders +3, archers get +2 hit chance and 15 extra range

Large Stone wall - a large stone wall that serves as a choke point unless broken in to. Gives defenders +4 block, archers get +3 hit chance and 20 extra range

You guys are doing well, just with the two of you. Makes me wonder why you even called a meeting to begin with. Though...what happened to that? You guys kinda just started doing this on your lonesomes.
Sorry I had HW today and was busy

I'll work on my cs tommorow
we still discussing stuff, looks through what we have said and say what you think
Well it seems more organized then the last mechanic.
yep :D I think the RP will start back up tomorrow or the day after

@general ostruppen Is the RP being closed to allow way for a new one? If that is the case then I guess we can be allies but we'd need to have it set in a role-play sense or have it written that we were allies in our back stories to allow a faster progression to occur.

The rp is gonna reset, because of the changes being made. ))

If the RP's going to reset, does that mean new sections of land are given or that our nations are to be wiped and new ones take their place?

Should there be towers as well? Or would they just add unnecessary complexity to this complex RP?

@Bobisdead123 I think that towers are a given. They'd be added on with wooden walls and upgraded each step of the way. Small stone walls would have platforms while large stone walls have proper archer towers with windows to maximize defensive capabilities.

Good point. Ignoring individual towers will make it less complex :)

@Rand Got any plans.for siege equipment?
