Fantasy Reaper: Reboot

Aura eventually tracked down Lilith and stood in the doorway watching her with mute curiosity

She was nose deep in the book, eyes flicking from left to right at a steady but quick pace, brow furrowed in concentration. She sighed, setting down the book and stretching a bit. She glanced up, and noticed her observer.


"Do you need something?" She asked, closing her book.

Aura shool his head. "Merly curious." He said calmly

 

[Rui]

"About me, or flowers?" She asked. She held up the book, "Come, read it." She requested.

Aura did not answer. He simply moved and did as she requested,confused and curious

 

[Rui]

She flipped the book open to the page she was reading about roses; where they originated, where they best grew. "I always wanted to do something with plants...create new breeds, and grow garden larger than any in the world." She smiled wistfully, "and I still do."

"Hybrid plants...?" Aura asked

 

[Rui]

She nodded, gesturing to a picture. "Mhm. My mama and papa were farmers. I wanted to be a botanist." She smiled fondly, "It was my life goal."

"Fascinating...." aura muttered.

 

[Rui]

She looked at him, softly frowning. "Was that sarcasm?" She asked, "did I bore you to death?" She asked, nibbling her bottom lip, "I'm not very exciting, I'll admit." She sighed.

"Not sarcasm dear..... your are a very interesting specimen you know?" Aura said calmly

 

[Rui]

She smiled slightly, "Thank you." She flipped another page, "Want to read about Tulips?" She asked, gesturing to a picture of a speckled purple flower.

"I don't see why not." Aura said, unsure of what to make of this strange woman.

 

[Rui]

She smiled brightly, "Yay!" She began began reading the page aloud, moving rather quickly.

Aura listened carefully and continued to watch her carefully

 

[Rui]

She finished the page, and sighed, "and there. Now you know." She grinned at him, "do you like it?" She asked.

"This indeed was an interesting experience." Aura commented, still trying to figure this woman out.

 

[Rui]

"Well, that's all for now, I suppose." She murmured, "Anything else?" She cocks her head to the side and studies him.

Aura stared back into her eyes. She indeed was intriguing. But what exactly made her that way...?

 

[Rui]

"Are you studying me?" She asked, noticing his gaze, "I was, in fact, studying you. Ask me whatever question it is you're trying to answer." She said, sitting back, blue eyes sharp and alert.

"What are you, why do you seem different from other people and why are you fearless but not cocky like every human and weaver ever?" Aura demanded swiftly

 

[Rui]

"Because that trait kills." She said softly, and smiled, "My sister was always cocky; she had reason to be. Very skilled, beautiful, talented." She paused, "but like everyone else, she died. I don't want to be like everyone else..." She smiled wistfully, "and perhaps a little mental illness may factor into that. I don't see myself as particularly sane."

Aura was taken aback by the answer Lilith gave him. It was a damn good answer. "You know.... no one is fully saNE anymore." He finaly said

 

[Rui]

She smiled, "Some less than most. I've given up clinging to the little sanity I have. I've simply resorted to releasing the human urge to survive no matter what. I just do what I like, and allow things to happen as they will." She sighed. "And you? What is it that makes you different."

"Well... I'm not human. Nor am I a weaver. I'm from Project Hybrid. I'm half reaper and half human." Aura said a little distantly
