Fantasy Reaper 3: Final March

Revnoir's smile faded quickly. "Ah, no... She needs to rest some more, but once we find her some medicine she'll be just like new, alright? Maybe... You can come with me and a few others later to find some." He said, forcing his smile to return. The thought of bringing Asilia with him was a bit controversial, but he knew that as long as she was with the strong Weavers, she'd be just fine.

Noticing Revnoir just leave without saying much to her, like usual. 'Hah, guess a busy guy like that has priorities.' Thought Demi, grabbing some wood to make a fire. She walked over toward her small pile of squirrels, using the basic flint trick to get a fire going. 'Now I have to skin these bastards... Hate this.'

Abel laughed a bit. "The end game..? Like I could plan such a thing. No-one can plan their fate." He smiled towards Pride, his face showing hints of sadness. "I do not believe that we should kill the Weavers. They were doing what they were taught were right, I can't blame them for that. If you want, you can act separately from us."

Revnoir laughed a bit. "Alright, we'll leave in a few hours ok?" He said, hugging her back. He held the little girl close, keeping her warm. Her fingers were cold, so he decided that she herself must still be freezing. He wanted her to be comfortable despite the discomfort surrounding them. He only wanted the best for the girl, as Aura would have done the same.

(Gtg for a bit, sry!)

as zen was patrolling still trying to comfort himself from the depths of his mind he passed an unfamiliar face. they seemed to be about to cook something. taking a closer look he realized she had started a fire and had a pile of dead squirrels next to her. he made his way over and doing his best to not to sound as if he was trying to do anything weird asked"need help?" from under his gas mask it was muffled but still loud enough to be heard.

After breaking away from the hug, little Asilia ran around their makeshift bace and looked for new people to talk to. She saw Zen talking to a woman and ran upbto him, tackling him with a flying high yelling happily "Uncle Zeeeeen!!"

Demi noticed a masked male walking toward her, shortly following with the five year old. 'Some military organization...' "Not much you could help with, to be honest. I only have one sterilized knife..." Sighed Demi, avoiding the blood that squirted from the squirrel as she pierced it's skin.

zen looked down at her picking her up gently and setting her on his shoulder "hey Asilia" he said slipping his gas mask from his face as not to scare her. he looked back to the women then to the hilt of his katana, to his duel swords on his canc and his scythe"...sorry i guess i don't have anything that i can do then...but would you mind if i sat for a while?" he asked setting asilia down and putting a hand on her head.

"Fine by me... It's not like I could eat all this by myself." Said Demi reluctantly. Sure, she could definitely eat everything, but she was part of the team now. She needed to earn their trust, needed to give them a reason to keep her around. She had learned a lot from her years of surviving, even though most of them were spent taking other people's supplies. Demi set up some sticks, stuffing one through a squirrel and handing it to zen. "... Think of it as 'meat on a stick'. Hold it over the fire and let it cook. I'm not very keen on flavoring, since spices and shit aren't exactly a common thing, but just suck it up I guess?" Laughed Demi, stabbing another squirrel with a stick and holding it over the fire herself. She never really asked what the deal was with the kid, figured it was none of her business. It's not like she wanted them to know her life story either, so why put up history in discussion if she wasn't willing to say hers?

(Just 'cause I'm isolating Leah for finals week doesn't mean I won't be posting occasional updates on how she's doing. ^-^)

It had been a day since Leah left the new base, and the small bag she had slung over her shoulder full of food taken from her personal kitchen was hardly exhausted. Nevertheless, she didn't want to use it all very quickly if that could be helped. The winds were a little more active than the day before, and it impressed the cold ever more into her face, hands, whatever the ice could touch. Leah, cursing the cold, eventually stopped to scrape a shallow hole in the snow into which she deposited the few things she brought with her. Her mind eerily calm and blank, she scanned the snowy, ruined land around her, crumbling streets, collapsing buildings. After about an hour of lying low in the snow, she found the thing she was searching for; movement. She saw a small creature dart through a gap between stones of cement, and her threads lashed forward to retrieve it. It was a bunny, who seemed as lost and scared as she herself did...

A fluffy animal darted through the snow, a small white rabbit. Envy's hand darted forward, throwing threads at the tiny thing, threads that twined round its ears and small pouffy tail, suspending it like a marionette. Half a moment later, her threads relaxed and retracted, letting the bunny fall back onto the snow. Envy's hand was still twitching. She wanted to catch the rabbit again, just to watch it writhe, but at the same time didn't want to hurt it.

Leah was motionless as the memory played through her head. The only movement came from the struggling prey, a few yards away. She hesitated, remembering the feeling of conflict... she longed to torture something, but she had spent five years keeping that side of her at bay. She didn't want to succumb now...

The rabbit was still struggling.

A loud crack sounded around the ruined buildings as she snapped its neck.

(And yeah, I might timeskip. I'll just wait till that time passes for her isolation to end.)

zen took the skewered squirrel holding it over the fire and turning it occasionally "i've eaten many things but this s the first time i'm going to be eating a common backyard animal.." sighed zen he actually hadn't eaten for the majority of the week. it was a wonder how he had not starved to death yet"thanks..." he muttered not knowing he person's name

"hmm?" he turned to asilia putting on a smile"what is it? you want some" he asked holding out the now cooked squrl to fer first making sure that it was cooked thoroughly but still cool enough to eat.

She shook her head. "Mommy needs medicine..... She is not doing to well..... Uncle Rev-war has been so bussy that he doesn't have the time to look for it....." She said. She was hungry. That was proven by the fact that her stomach growled. But she put her own needs aside and worried about someone she thought more important.

zen's smile faded to more of a somber one. such a brave child she was"her take it" he put the skewered squirrel in her hand"you should worry about yourself more...how do you think your mother would feel if something happened to you while you were worrying about her?" he put a hand on her head "don't worry we'll make sure your mother gets well soon"

"Thank you uncle Zen..... And um..... Mommy said that..... Daddy may not be dead....... She said he had a habit of.... Showing up after he was killed.....? Do you.... Think maybe my daddy is still out there....?" She asked before taking a bite of the squirl. It was chewy.

he laughed a little. saying that he had a habit of seemingly coming back from the dead couldn't be more true"maybe he might be out there somewhere... if he is, when the time is right, he will show himself"

Yato finally gained his consciousness and woke up. He slowly got up from lying down and sat up. He took off his eyepatch showing a long scar, from slightly above his eyebrow, to the top of his mask which covered his mouth and nose. He sighed like usual and slowly tried to get up, using the rubble around him as support. He extended wind threads to keep away wind chill. He wearily started to walk. He went outside of the camp but not too far. He went to look for a water source to power Byakko or maybe any electric source. But he stayed a half mile away from camp, at the most.

zen smiled at her. she was a cute child. how sad she had to be borne into such an ugly world"he looked back to the girl who was cooking the squirrels"might i ask your name?"

(im going to be leaving soon and ill probably be back around noon tomorrow"

"Well, Zen, the name's Demi." She said calmly, over-hearing his name spoken by the girl. "Is she gonna eat that, or..." Questioned Demi, kinda laughing at how much the girl had slept on a daily basis. She really wasn't expecting a response to te question, but someone had better eat that thing. 'Wasn't easy to catch... Assholes.' Falling asleep in the cold hungry wasn't really a smart move, but she figured the others would make sure she didn't die in her sleep. "I guess I'm in squad 6? I have no idea anymore... Nobody seems to be really doing much. By the way, I have a couple of improvised traps around the 'camp'. Don't think they'll do much against reapers, but they would definitely take a leg off a human, so watch out if you feel like exploring."

"thank you for the notice"he spoke as he gently took the skewered squirrel from Asilia's hand and devoured it whole"and i think your traps will help alert us of an incoming attack"he sighed setting the skewer down"sorry about the lack of food and everything...i'm new to the whole director thing but i'm trying my best...its fine if you hate me for it though i'm nowhere near as good of a director as aura was..."

Fuse leaned over a tree, setting down JAX's steel jacketed motherboard beside him, he kept a closer look to the other remaining survivors of Weave in deep thought.

It's been almost five years since Weave was destroyed, and it's been five years since they were all casted out into the wilderness to survive and fend for their own.

Sitting down on the snow under the tree, and burrying himself in order to make His body feel cool and numb, Fuse grabbed a small bottle of Scotch and began to chug it all down in one go, trying to relief himself of a certain pain.

( Sorry, I was out because of school.~ )

Kirsa watched Asilia leave, she probably spaced out. Should she ask Revnoir for help? She let out a heavy sigh, leaning back against the rubble as her hands say in her bag. To be honest, she didn't want to ask him. Revnoir intimidated her. However Kirsa needed to improve, so she wasn't dead weight. Even when she was able to use her Thread, it would go out of control. Her eyes shifted around her, sitting alone. "Ahhh.. Maybe I'll just ask." Kirsa decided. What harm would come to it?

Deus laughed as Abel gave him permission to go off if he wanted. "How amusing its strange sometimes I wonder how you ever ended up knowing Cain." He said a sadness in his voice, Cain might of been a dark twisted man stuck on revenge but it wasn't like he didn't have a reason. Although Deus himself didn't know Cain all that well either so he couldnt really say much. He looked over at Abel and smiled."You know the old Deus would of jumped at the idea of going and slaughtering what remained of weave... But I've changed and it would be pointlss. Although I think maybe if we assisted them somewhat they would hate our guts just a little less. Although I suppose that's just my idiotic thinking. But I believe your correct they didn't do anything what they believed to be right. So maybe drops some food medicine stuff like that off at theee location. Hell I'll even bring it myself if you'll allow it?" Deus said stepping forward his feet crunching on the snow that had long since covered the room. With every word he spoke his misty breath appeared although honestly he wasn't cold. He looked at Abel questionagly as he waited for a answer. He didn't know much about Abel either but he planned to change that as soon as possible. @Umbra Regalia
