Fantasy Reaper 3: Final March

She dropped to his side, looking for the source of the wound. Her body shook heavily, terrified of the thought of losing another loved one. Grabbing his hand tightly, Kirsa's eyes filled up with tears as she tried to speak. "R-Revnoir.. Don't go.. Let's go back to base and get your fixed.." She tried to help him up.

It hadn't taken long for the Reapers to get there, since they were capable of dashing at extreme speeds, but the two Reapers had gotten there quite quickly. Yulier was in the arms of one, and Asilia was on the back of the other. They carefully approached Aura, not making a sound as they took steps closer to the man.

Revnoir attempted to stand, but his legs gave way. He was too weak to move properly. He tried again, his legs barely holding him up. "I'm not going anywhere, don't worry..." He said, forcing a smile.

The Wraiths slowly walked closer and closer until they were only a few feet infront of him. Yulier had lost consciousness, and the Reaper was gently trying to wake her up.

Aura moved towards the two reapers, ready to rip them apart if needed.

Asilia looked up at her father and yelled excitedly " daddy!"

Kirsa put his arm over her shoulder, supporting him. "Come on.. I'll help you." She showed him a weary smile. The blood kept reminding of her parents, but going berserk now wouldn't help him. She tried to make their way to the base, holding him up.

The Reapers stayed still, trying not to seem dangerous. They gently lay Yulier down, and let Asilia onto the ground.

Revnoir scowled, trying to take his weight off of her as best as he could. He didn't want to burden her, and he felt bad leaning on her at all.

Kirsa frowned and looked up at him. "Lean on me.. I'm your.. girl.. friend?" She hesitated with the last word. It felt embarrassing to say that, not knowing whether or not it's true. "I want to support you as well.. So let me." She scorned, pouting.

"Right... Fine, just tell me if I hurt you alright?" He didn't want to hurt her with his weight. Plus he was taller than her by a considerable amount. His usual smile returned. "What a way to come home, huh?" He spoke as if to himself, talking about Aura. He watched the scene in the distance as the two walked towards he base.

Finally, the Reaper managed to prod Yulier awake. She looked around weakly, then saw Aura. She stared for a long moment, her mind blank. She just stared with wide eyes. That wasn't Aura, was it? Was it? It couldn't be. She made a move to stand up, but her weak body protested.

A few minutes passed before they finally reached the base, helping Revnoir sit on the floor. Kirsa sat beside him, stricken with concern. "Are you sure you're okay?.. "

Revnoir's voice was no more than a whisper at this point. "I'll be fine. You shouldn't underestimate a Sin..." He said with a subtle smile. He gently rested his head on her shoulder, closing his eyes for a moment. She was warm, unlike him, who was cold after being shoved into the snow.

She was a bit relieved at his words but couldn't help but be worried. His body was icy to the touch, he must be cold. Kirsa leaned her head on his, her arm wrapping around his shoulder in hopes to warm him up. "Sin or not.. You aren't invincible, Revnoir.. " She said in soft voice.

Revnoir chuckled weakly. "I'm pretty damn close to it." He said, trying not to fall asleep on her. He didn't want to startle her when he wakes up. Besides, sleeping wouldn't fix anything. His mind finally calmed down a bit, giving up on the tugging and the pushing of his thoughts. He sat there, smiling from her warmth. It felt so familiar.

She sighed but laughed as well. It was nice like this. Kirsa nuzzled her cheek against his head, smiling softly. He smelled sweet, reminding her of the pastries her mother made in the past. For once, she'd have a happy memory. Kirsa removed her arm and prompted to hold his hand, squeezing it tightly. "You should rest.. For the wound."

Revnoir let out a groan and held her hand gently. "I don't want to... It'll do more bad than good." He said, his voice slowly fading. He wasn't losing blood anymore, but his body needed rest despite his hatred for it. He wanted to stay awake, to feel like this forever. He didn't want to sleep and end the feeling. Her shoulder was comfortable, and her voice was soothing. "I don't want to sleep..."

Kirsa nuzzled him again, enticed by his scent. It was soothing to her nose and body. She suddenly buried her face in his hair but kissed the top of his head. Her words were muffled but it was still audible. "Rest.. I'll be here when you wake up, Revnoir.. " Kirsa responded in a tender voice as her hand intertwined with his.

Revnoir gripped her hand tighter, as if scared to sleep. Not as if. He was scared to sleep. He didn't want to dream. He wanted to know how it would feel to sleep without dreams, but he knew that that would never happen. He let out a sigh of defeat and gave a subtle nod. "Fine..." He said, letting his mind fade into the black slowly as his thoughts told him to stop, to stay awake, to stay with Kirsa. He didn't want to, but he wouldn't give her a hard time about it. He'd do as she asked, even if it meant his discomfort. After all, the last thing he wanted was for her to be worried.

(Up next: Dreams! All the dreams!)

She smiled as he slowly fell asleep, closing her eyes as well. Kira drifted in her sleep. Her nightmares soon to taunt her.

( Convenient exit.~ Will return at 3pm PST. )

Yulier tried again to get to Aura, tears forming in her eyes. "Aura..!" She spoke quietly, and struggled over and over again until the Reaper helped her walk over to the white haired other. She quickly wrapped her arms around him, gripping his shirt tightly so she didn't fall. She was crying. "You're..." She couldn't speak, she could barely breath because of the sobbing.

"I'm so glad your alive.... My beloved wife...... And I asume the little one is my daughter.. ?" Aura spoke softly, his golden wold eyes glowing in the winters cold.

Revnoir's mind whirled, making images in his head. It would replay his thoughts time and time again.

The Shadows seeped in through the door, staring at us with their bloodstained eyes. They made no sound as they moved, both of them sliding closer to us. Behind me was Enma, and I myself was behind Mom. Dad was staring at them from where he was at the counter. The tiles under my feet felt cold now that the loving warmth of our home had left alongside the feeling of peace. The Shadows got closer and closer, and Dad quickly turned to look at us.

Run! Now!

But Dad..!

Now!

I grabbed Enma's arm and quickly ran to the door, sliding past the Shadows. They had tried to stop us, but we were too small and too quick to catch. They missed us, and in seconds, we were gone. We flew out the door, and I didn't bother to look behind me. Enma, though, did, and tugged at me when she realized Mom and Dad weren't following us.

Yulier nodded. "Yeah, Asilia." She had given her the name Aura and her had decided on a few days before he disappeared.
