Growing up as an army brat, Alessia never stayed in one place for long as her father was deployed from one combat zone to the next. At the age of fifteen, the long dreaded news of her father's death at the guns of terrorists came home and after a long period of grief, Alessia joined the army as soon as she turned 18, determined to take her father's place as she saw it and avenge her loss upon the enemy.
After 4 years of serving in the army however, she became dissatisfied as she never saw combat and quit at the rank of sergeant. Upon returning to civilian life, she sought employment with private military companies and eventually found one that was engaged in the same area she was previously deployed in. This time, she saw combat and plenty of it.
From one hazardous mission to the next, Alessia proved herself to be an effective combatant and over time her squad became her family. With most of them being former special forces veterans, Alessia learned many skills from them and eventually became an operative in her own right, in performance if not qualification. She's been a mercenary ever since... until the Reapers came.
In their very first engagement against an enemy they knew nothing about, Alessia's squad was decimated with less than half of them surviving the battle. The remainder, including Alessia, were absorbed into another squad that had likewise suffered a similar fate and so the cycle went, on and on until the entire company collapsed due to lack of numbers.
Of her original squad, Alessia was the only survivor. She continued to fight alongside fellow remnants of the company, but after yet another disastrous battle and too many losses, Alessia turned to the Weavers, utterly exhausted with the frailty of humans. Now she only fights to avenge the ghosts of comrades long gone.
Recently, she's been expelled from her squad due to one too many incidents of abandoning a comrade in need, so she is currently awaiting reassignment.
Personality: Quiet and aloof, Alessia is prone to disappearing from time to time to lead solo attacks on Reapers. At this point, she's almost completely apathetic to death and suffering, and though a talented fighter, she simply cannot be relied on to protect a fellow squad mate as she is far more likely to ignore them in favour of killing more Reapers.
Due to past experience, there is only one thing Alessia hates more than Reapers and that's humans wanting to fight them. She doesn't say much, but she'll make her disapproval very clear in her own way.
Several reported incidents include shoving human squad mates behind cover during combat and not letting them leave until the fight is over, or knocking them unconscious before an assault, or even outright intimidation before a mission. In her eyes, ordinary human beings are far too fragile to fight against Reapers and therefore have no place on the battlefield. This attitude has caused friction for obvious reasons.
Despite having Weaver powers now, Alessia prefers using her skills as a soldier, fighting with guns, explosives and combat knife. She only uses her fire thread when the situation calls for it, so her power is quite undeveloped. Of far more use to her are the passive enhancements that being a Weaver grants, such as improved eyesight, reaction speed, durability, strength, etc.
