Izaya peered out carefully form the rock when he heard the horn blowing for no reason to see the stranger looking at the rock. "Well isn't this interesting?" He said standing to his full height and starting to brush dust and dirt from himself. He picked up his fur lined jacket he had just been carrying around due to he hot nature of the desert, "I'd have to say taking a dirt bath wasn't on the top priority of the list of things I wanted to do today." He looked down at his black sweaty clothes, then to the guy who just saved him. "I don't suppose you know a place where there'd be a free change of clothes, a shower, and water do you?" He wasn't one for thank yous or apologies, unless he was truly sorry for what had just occurred. He was also in deep hopes that this guy whoever or whatever he may be was actually here to help, and whether or not he did know of a place it would be good to have a friend in all of this mess.

The explanation that Strelok gave seemed to be enough for Ken, giving a small nod of understanding as he went about explaining the whole situation. "I see...then I truly am in a place I don't belong." He didn't even seem to acknowledge the man calling his title 'strange'. He was focused on his own thoughts until Strelok alerted the two of someone on their way. His uncovered eye glanced up, focusing on what looked to be a relatively normal looking girl. Well, normal besides the fact that she was armed. Then again, would 'normal' fit in this place? Ken had to guess she was like him. Stuck in a place they shouldn't be.

He had to arms to raise to the newcomer, instead deciding to merely stand there as Strelok and Callie prepared themselves for a possible conflict. A conflict that wouldn't come to be it seemed as the woman expressed no interest as she lowered her ax. "I have no intention of causing any sort of trouble. So don't worry." Greetings were beginning to be exchanged when the sudden arrival of rain caught Strelok's attention.

Then the sudden change of color in the sky changed the man's expression entirely. Something bad was about to occur, and he was already off to get to the shelter. Callie, the squid, had the sense to get running, with Strelok moving not long after. "Shit.." The sclera of his eye suddenly turned black, the veins surrounding the eye socket visible. Several incredibly large tentacles burst from the man's back like before, burying themselves into the ground as Ken began to use them to quickly move along the ground like a spider towards the structure. He practically flung himself into the building, the large tendrils surrounding him to cushion him as he essentially slammed into one of the walls, leaving a large crater from the impact before landing on the floor of the building.

Miko straightened, so there was another person. It flicked its hands and its kunai seemed to retract back into its arms. It jumped down from the truck, dusting its mushroom cap off to get rid of the sand. "You are welcome, by the way. We did just save your life." Miko commented, walking toward him. "Hold still." It said, trying to sense any injury on the human. Nothing. "As for your question, we have no idea where anything you are asking for might be." So it seems there was also someone else who didn't understand where they were.

Or at least didn't know the terrain. "You are welcome to travel with us, we need to find water as well. And from what we saw, you cannot fight. So we suggest you stay close." It said, it's yellow eye shining with some kind of excitment. "Trust us, we're a doctor." Miko straightened up and bowed, "Call us Miko."

Izaya was slightly offended by this comment, "I can fight without a problem so long as the fight is on equal footing..." Though Miko wasn't wrong either, currently without more heads for his switch blade or access to some form of throwing knife he was practically useless in a fight. He would most likely just get himself killed or severely injured trying to fight those thugs alone. "If you're looking for a thank you from me you're wasting your time those kind of formalities are a waste." Though he was truly grateful that this being was a friend and someone he could rely on, "also all of my nearly fatal wounds have long sense healed..." He was thinking back to the times where he had been stabbed, and shot at by people hired by his common law wife to kill him. Then he looked at the scrapes he had on his hand from where he had rushed into the crack in the rock. He stood thinking for a moment, "well maybe it wouldn't hurt for me to get a once over..." Being an illegal informant he was used to underground doctors on occasion checking on wounds and illnesses he might have. Though usually he'd try and avoid it if possible, but right now if there was something seriously wrong with him there could be no doctor for thousands of miles. "So do you have any idea of anything that is going on?" He hated not being in the know and he would find out, even if he had to make the whole world his enemy again, "and you can call me Izaya..."

Miko tilted its head, once again sand sliding off of the mushroom cap. It seemed that it had offended, and by the way this human male spoke, he sounded familiar. "You are much like a team member we know." Miko chuckled. It noticed Izaya look at his hands and its eye's pupil widened slightly. It reached forward and hovered its own hand over his injured one, a green glow coming from its hand and the scrapes healing.

The skin stitched together easily and poof, done. "We would preform a physical, as we have done with all our teammates, but we assume the desert is not the place." It dropped its hand. "We have no idea what had happened, we were meditating on Bliss when pur teammate Melka confronted us. She was not transported with us, I am worried. If the Battleborn were split up, Rendain's victory is assured." Miko said the last part to himself. "You are not a Battleborn, where do you come from?"

Izaya looked up kind of in shock, "I remind you of someone you actually like?!" He couldn't hold back the surprise in his voice. He had completely convinced himself that someone like him could never be liked. He then looked at his hand, and recomposing himself with the image he was trying to give off stating, "well looky there, you put my old doctor's abilities to shame." He gave a slightly spiteful chuckle. He was so fixated on insulting his old friend's abilities to not care he just gave a half compliment to his new friend.

He looked to his new friend secretly worried for Miko's concern about his team. He had grown rather fond of the strange being and would like to add him to the growing list of strange and supernatural beings that he knew. He decided to give him a response to his question, "no I'm not a Battleborn, to be honest I'm not really sure what they are. I come from a place in Japan called Ikebukuro which is a small part of a much larger city called Tokyo." he looked around for a moment, "I think if we are to continue to get to know each other a little better we should find shelter... I don't know about your kind, but a human can't survive in heat like this for long especially without water."

The Crystal continued to crack as the conflict from afar ensued. Bandits that reside on the area began to attack a rock nearby. This didn't halt anything as the residing knight within the crystal was interested in the fungus-like creature handled the bandits with ease. He had already gone through the process of his reawakening, yet, he's curious enough to know how the fungus fares against him.

The Crystal Seal cracks open as bits of crystal began to scatter about, revealing a pink spherical warrior clad in a metal mask with yellow horns, glowing pink eyes emerged from the mask instead of red as angel's wings spread from his back, allowing him to hover in the position where his crystal stood. Holding his lance and shield, he glanced at the Fungus creature as if to observe as he gripped his weapons. It desires for combat, desires to fight, to kill--For war.

Now...Who dares challenge the sealed Knight?

"The ones befitting of a great thief, so they say. But I'm more curious about this 'immortality' of yours." Sento said, soon releasing the catgirl's hand. "After all, that must be why the Princess is opting to recruit you for her squadron." He got straight to the point, his hands wrapped around one another like that of a businessman, letting out a mischievous smile.

"Yeah, it's somehow in the arena itself." Ryuga commented as Monika told the two where to go. "It's seriously just a booth in the center platform. I dunno why they'd do that, but it does give a bit of a feel on how big the area's gonna be when it starts." Ryuga explained as he soon nodded. "Don't think we're going to go easy on you two." He said with a smile, before giving a thumbs up. Ryuga played the games to know that the two had quite the trick up their collective sleeves, so he's curious to know which one they're going to pull off. The Bros. Attacks? Items? Some shrooms? Whatever it is, it might be worth the challenge!

Miko chuckled as Izaya looked surprised, "Yes, you remind us of someone we like." Melka could be that way, she was stubborn. "We thank you for the compliment of our healing ability. We have evolved to help others." It bowed its head. It straightened up as Izaya said where he was from, "Oh! We have studied Earth, we have had an interest in Japan culture but we fear if we mimic it too closely it would be an offense since we are not Japanese." It explained. "Of course, shelter, we shall accompany you to-" It was cut off as the Knight broke out of his sealed crystal. It noticed the warrior was... Pink. And didn't look too threatening. Though it remembered how Toby was a little ball of anger and hate. This could be the same situation.

It flicked its hands and the kunai slid back into his fingers, moving to put itself between the Knight and Izaya. Though it would keep an eye on the other man, but the Knight didn't seem to be interested in him. "Demon, you stench of ill intentions." It growled, but did not attack. "Can you speak?" It was studying him, conversation would keep him still long enough for it to study any weak points in case Miko had to exploit them. The hand without the kunai was stretched out as if trying to keep Izaya behind it. Nobody else will die on its watch.

Izaya gave a slight chuckle about the Japanese culture comment, but then started to get this sense of growing dread as if maybe some kind of great evil force was about to rain down on them. He was starting to realize just how insignificant he was in this new world. All the power and fear he had once held over others was gone, his wealth gone, his sisters, the only people in the end who cared about him, gone. This new revelation was beginning to terrify him. In this world he was the insignificant little ant that was to be squashed. His instinct was to run but he had a felling that whatever this feeling was it would find him no matter where he was to go, even if he knew of a place to run too.

He was surprised, and almost shocked, when Miko jumped into protect him from the strange knight. He hadn't had someone come to his aid like this sense middle school, and he figured that no one would do it again. Miko was full of surprises and Izaya wasn't sure just how to take them at times. He was really glad that he had met Miko.

Nadia listened to the response of Sento, and after a brief thought processing, she suddenly grows suspicious of him. "Why does the princess want me? I'm a wanted thief. Don't tell me you've been sent here to arrest me? If you do, then it'll take more than simple words to get this cat tamed." Her words spoke of aggression and vigilance. It may seem that Nadia could not trust Sento at that way. Just then, Minette appears along with the food; sweet and sour fish. "Here you go! And its on the house." The Dagonia says in delight as she places the food on Nadia's table. "Thanks!" The catgirl says with a sudden mood change as she begins to indulge in her treat.

"I...Haven't actually figured that out yet." Sento admitted as he let out a disappointed sigh. As a genius, this is a bit staggering. While it is true that the people the princess asked for are skilled enough, he still couldn't wrapped around some aspects of her thinking. I mean, come on, a SCHOOLGIRL? Why would someone like that be included in a military formation? Nevertheless, the catgirl's mood immediately lightened up as her food was served.

"Rest assured, you won't get arrested. In fact..." Sento said, pulling out a red bottle and shook it in his palm a bit. "I am sort of a vigilante myself. I can't exactly conduct a valid arrest...I'll get arrested myself, after all." He stopped shaking his bottle, glancing at the catgirl. He soon recalls himself being arrested for interfering with the raid the day before. That's how he got into this mess in the first place.

". . .Fungus." The Knight began to speak in a somewhat deep male voice, yet distorted a bit...Is it because of his mask? Or is it because he's an alien? "Your skill intrigued me. Galacta Knight isn't one to underestimate his opponent, but he could go for a warm up before flying off in search of a worthy opponent. . .

Ah, so he could talk. And he seemed keen on fighting Miko. Wait, its skill intrigued the knight? It wasn't so much skill as it was reflexes. But Miko could sense this Knight probably has seen battles upon battles, and obviously since he's still here he never lost one. Or at least was hit with a fatal blow. When Miko was challenged, it was slightly surprised. Not many challenged the medic to a fight, well, battle medic. But the think about Miko was it never backed down from a fight, especially when it was challenged.

"Alright, demon, we shall play your game. And we assume this is not just a spar, so we will take this seriously." It lowered its outstretched hand and more kunai slid into its fingers. How tough was that armor the knight wore, would its weapons pierce the armor? One way to find out. "Step back, Izaya, we do not wish for you to get caught in the crossfire." It told the man behind it without looking over at him.

Izaya didn't have to be told twice he quickly got out of the way to avoid any injury to himself. He just hoped his only friend this hellish place didn't get hurt either. He had a really bad feeling about whatever was about to transpire between the two warriors from different worlds. He also kind of hoped that he didn't end up in the cross hairs of it all being in such close proximity to the battle. He was mostly a creature of self preservation most of the time, with a few rare exceptions that he couldn't let go in any horrific manor. However, in this world he had no connections and no money to make everything right again if it went horribly wrong, or to avoid it from going horribly wrong. All he could was watch, wait and hope for the best, something he really hated doing, because normally he could influence it so it would all turn out for the best, for the people he wished the best for.

"YOU'RE IN BLOOD GULCH! It's a very nice place." The voice replied. "I'M CABOOSE!" The voice introduced, and try as Orendi might, she just couldn't find the source anywhere. "Oh, oh! Can I ask a question?" It perked up. "Do you know Church? He's my best friend but I haven't seen him for a very long time and I miss him so much." There was sadness in the voice when it said that. Still Orendi was essentially getting nowhere. No matter how hard she searched, the base still seemed completely empty. There was nothing in the base but junk, spent rounds... and papers with crayon drawings on them, mostly depicting rather crude and childish sketches of armour-clad figures.

gqFyjZm.jpg

Yet, however, the one who drew them was nowhere in sight.

Until Orendi turned around, that is.

She came face to face (or face to chest) with a massive figure clad in high-tech armour. His helmet looked rather simplistic, evoking a childish look. An assault rifle was grasped in the figure's hands.

"Hello!" The man suddenly spoke in the same voice that had been speaking to Orendi. "I am Caboose!"

Orendi was getting frustrated, nobody but Pendles could go invisible. Well, Oscar Mike could but not passively. Where waa this voice coming from?! Waot, Church? Who the hell was Church? Wait again! Isn't a church to be all religious? That was her favorite place to burn! But this church was a person. As she looked at all the drawings there was more and more proof that Oscar Mike was here. She scoffed, if it was that armor wearing dork she's steal his helmet and hide it again. She had a thing for shiny objects, and his helmet was shiny.

Which lead to her stealing it a lot. She turned around and smacked into the blue-armored man in front of her. She yelped and jumped back, her hands glowing with shadowfire. And as she was about to yell some weird and insane thing, she realized two things. That is the same voice that had been talking to her, and... "SHINY!!! Shiny-shiny-shiny!!" She leaped forward and hooked her claws into anywhere she could as she basically crawled all over him.

So it was safe to say since he wore armor, she would not attack because it was shiny. "Hey! I'm Orendi!!" She yelled with excitement, forgetting her fear. She eyed the gun in his hands and dropped to the ground and grabbed hold of it, trying to tug it away. "Gimme!" Though it was like trying to take something from a very solid brick wall with hands. The gun wasn't even budging just a little. "I like your name! I want your hat!" She released the gun and held out all four arms, the eyes in her palms staring Caboose down.

"Please!!!! Please please please I want it PLEASE!"

"This? It's called a Fullbottle." Sento said as he then showcased the bottle. "Specifically, that of the purified variety. The bottles contents contains loads of Nebula Gas combined with Human DNA which results in a Mutant Solution that is then purified into the bottle itself." He soon tucked it in his palm. "The FullBottles themselves are difficult to replicate, as each Fullbottle has it's own unique property which separates it from other Fullbottles." He soon took out another Fullbottle, this time, colored Cyan with a sparkling Diamond carved in it's exterior. "For Example. This bottle is Rabbit, and this one's Diamond." He shook the bottles in the specified order, "The original bottles were more bloated and impure. And, suffice to say, quite rare since most of them are probably back at my dimension..." He sighed, remembering the current situation at his universe's Japan. A war surging because of an alien box, along with a cataclysmic event currently unfolding because of it as well...It's a miracle that the bottles he have are also a few that has opened the box. He's...Quite worried that something must've gone wrong while he was gone. He continues to sip his drink as he placed the bottles back in his coat.

"My turn. What's the truth behind your Immortality?" Sento asked, curious to know if she knows the limits of her own gem. Perhaps, even it's origin?

Nadia listened very attentively on Sento's explanation about the Fullbottle. After ending his explanation, he then asks about the secret behind Nadia's immortality. The catgirl scratches the back of her head as she felt unsure if she could tell her secret to Sento, but eventually she decides to do so. "Fine, I'll tell you." She says "The reason why I cannot die is because inside of me is a gem that is used by the head of the Medici Mafia to live longer. It is called the 'Life Gem'. Me and my gang went up to their base to capture it, but in the end, my gang got slaughtered. However, I was able to take the gem and quickly swallow it before I got decapitated...like this."

She raises her claws up against her neck and a through a quick swipe, she decapitates herself right in front of Sento. Such a gruesome demonstration. Her head fell onto her lap and surprisingly, she is still alive. Her body grabs her and raises up to face Sento. "See? So long as the gem is still inside of me, no matter what happens, I cannot die." She says.

Callie's calls were interrupted by a loud, ominous rumbling sound, like thunder but much, much more intense. The environment seemed to turn dark as an even brighter light emanated from where the red light came from. This might've been what Strelok was trying to warn everyone about before running towards the shelter. What's happening that'd be worse than a thunderstorm as heavy as this?

She decided she didn't want to know, and pulled herself away from the door, a little deeper into the shelter. She also realized, to her embarrassment, that she was probably blocking the way inside anyways. Then, something came slamming through the opening, making a sizable dent in the wall it came to a stop on. It seemed to be made of the same tendrils that Ken used to, err, save Callie from a pack of hungry wolves. At least he made it in. But what about those other two? They're bound to make it into the building in seconds. Instead, Callie focused on the structure itself.

It didn't seem too sturdy, but that was up for debate, since she didn't really recognize the stuff it was made out of. Some kind of dull red-brown buildup covered much of the outside, and the uncovered parts being a metallic grey color. Besides the door, there were few openings she could see, and they were mostly windows much too far up for Callie to make use of. Delving deeper into the structure, she noted that there were three rooms total, separated by doors not unlike the first one. The room she came in, and two small side compartments, which could work as bedrooms if whatever was happening outside lasted more than a few hours.

Callie looked back to the entrance, and, should Strelok have arrived yet, yelled while shaking the stuff off, "Where did all that rain come from!?"

The brothers stayed quiet and listened intently to the directions the two gave. Down the stairs, then a... right- no, a left. The directions were so simple, but this place was so unbelievably huge that it would probably be easy to get lost doing even that. Okay. Down those stairs, then a left- the booth is in the tournament. It's time to get this show on the road. It'll be just like Glitz Pit, all over again! Mario wondered if he could still call himself by his Glitz Pit nickname here.

"I can't wait to see you in the Tournament, Mario and Luigi!"
"Don't think we're going to go easy on you two."

Monika and Ryuga's eyes glimmered brightly. Monika had been grinning from ear to ear ever since they started talking- they didn't think it was possible, but she began smiling even more when they told her they were participating. Ryuga was obviously excited- and hey, all of that's good! The brothers were looking forward to it, too! They hoped the people running this show were taking measures to make sure nobody gets seriously hurt, though; they were excited to participate (or, in Luigi's case, overwrought to), but when Mario was fighting in the Glitz Pit, at least he knew how things would go down- it was a boxing match, basically, and the participants would be fine after the match. Though they hoped that was the case here, too, they had no way of knowing.

One foot in front of the other, then.

"Ah ha! Thank-a you so much!" Luigi exclaimed, beaming. "Ah, we wouldn't want you to go easy- we won't! Good luck, you two! Ha ha!" Mario teased, as they both began to jog over to the staircase. "Thanks again, you guys!" "See you around!" The brothers shouted after the two, waving energetically as they descended the flight of stairs.

What a nice group of people!

"Okey dokey, bro! They said left here, right?" Luigi inquired, stopping after they had walked down the flight of stairs to point towards an open doorway. Mario answered affirmatively, and they carefully walked through, being met with the sheer enormity of the Amity Coliseum.

The place was huge! It looked a bit like a sports stadium, but instead of a pitch, the middle ground was a white, octagonal arena, some areas split into sections, and some with large symbols on them that the brothers didn't recognise. However, in the centre, they could just make out a booth, manned by two people- a lanky man with unkempt green hair in a white shirt and yellow tie, paired together with a rather plump man dressed in red with a glorious grey moustache, even by the brother's standards. They reminded the brothers of themselves just a bit, actually!

In any case, this must be the sign-ups! The brothers began to leisurely jog their way over- the arena was so vast, it felt like they had run a mile by the time they finally made it.

"Hello!" Luigi began with a friendly wave, as they came face-to-face with the people running the booth. "Are the sign-ups still-a open?" Mario asked the men, a welcoming smile on his face.

This...Could be used for research!

"I-...Incredible...!" Sento muttered as a lock of his hair perked up. That must mean that the gem must be a size of a pile or a pebble, in that regard. He was skeptical at first, but with that demonstration...Well, he only got more curious. "This proves that your organs are functions and the blood still circulates on our body despite it's mutulation...! " He let out a smile, "Aw man, this is great!" His eyes glistened in a child like manner. He soon snapped out of his trance and sat back down, placing the bottle onto his coat pocket. "...Sorry. I got carried away." He cleared his throat as he apologized. "A-...Anyway...I could probably ask the Princess to pardon your crime...Assuming you'd join us."

"Why, I dare say! Is that THE Mario and Luigi?" The plump professor asked, surprised to see the two brothers. "My word! I thought they were only fictional..."

"Yes, though they originally did exist in Nintendo's games, the fact that our Kingdom is currently within a dimension between universes solidifies that similar worlds would've existed but..." The lanky one with green hair stated before adjusting his glasses. "Never have I imagined the Mushroom Kingdom's Universe to actually exist...It's quite astounding!"

"Next thing you know, Link might be on our Kingdom's doorstep, eh, Batholomew?" The Plump professor sat down as he nodged Bartholomew's shoulder with a grin.

As it sidestepped it stepped back further, aiming to keep distance between the two. Sure it was practiced in hand to hand combat as well as throwing kunai but until it had evaluated how strong that armor is it wouldn't take the chance. Once it had stepped back further it threw a handfull of kunai at the Knight, aiming for soft spots perhaps between the plating of the armor.

He yelled back, though it was quickly drowned out by the emission. The flashes of light it produced were even more blinding than the lightning that came with the storm. There was a siren somewhere in the distance, probably from the Skadovsk or someplace elsewhere, warning the other Stalkers or anyone else that had gotten caught out in the open to seek shelter immediately.

Though it wasn't like anyone needed a warning, for any moron would know to run and hide from the demonic storm approaching them.

The reached the closest building at last, a rundown building that was likely an old farmhouse before the disaster. Old, but thankfully intact. Strelok promptly kicked the door open and hastily motion the rest to enter. Once they did, the Marked One entered and slammed the door behind him. He exhaled and took a second to shake some water out of his drenched Sunrise suit, before turning around.

He then came face to face with the barrels of three guns pointed in his direction, and at the others.

"If you are bandits, then you've come to the wrong place." The apparent leader spoke harshly in Russian.

Strelok decided that he would rather not start a fight, legendary Stalker or no. "I am not a bandit." He said, his AK lowered. "I'm a Loner."

The other Stalker seemed to take a minute to study him, then decided that he was clearly not a bandit, given his attire. "So you aren't." He gestured over to the Marked One's little group. "And the others?"

Strelok shook his head. "No. They are not from here. They have just arrived in Rapture."

The lead Stalker nodded in understanding. "Alright. What is your name?"

"Strelok."

That seemed to catch every member of the Stalker group by surprise. "Marked One? Shit, I thought they said you died."

"Don't believe everything you are told."

The Stalker huffed in thought, then turned to his comrades. "Опустите оружие." He ordered. The two others did as they were told, lowering their weapons. "Come," The Stalker said, switching to English. He knew that most of Exodus' population spoke English, and new arrivals mostly did too. "Stay here until the blowout is over."

The two others had gone back to standing or sitting around a small fire that provided both warmth and light.

"My name is Kirov." The Stalker introduced. "That is Vitaly," He pointed to a rather large man wearing a Skat-9 suit and an old and battered K6-3 helmet on his head. There was an RP-74 light machine gun by his feet. The man gave a small smile and wave, although it was pretty clear he didn't understand much of anything Kirov had just said. "And that is Alexei."

Kirov pointed to the other Stalker, who was quietly taking intermittent sips from his bottle of Cossacks vodka, either not understanding or not caring. He wore a Berill-5M armoured suit, his AKM-74/2 resting on its stock next to him.

Once he was done with introductions, Kirov turned to the group. "What are your names?"
