When Janie distracted the infected the one that grabbed her let go then Alyssa quickly picked up her knife and stabbed its skull, she sprinted over to Max and killed a few near him .

Max took and deep breathe and smiled. "Thanks Alyssa." He look at her and saw his sister for a second. Just for a second. He shook his head then said: "Let's go help out Janie, yeah?" He also needed to protect Alyssa. Like a sister...
He grabbed her hand and ran after Janie in the direction she was headed.

Janie sprinted down the road. She cursed in her head, angry at her herself for being so stupid. She was out. She was safe and had to go mess it all up. She had done everything wrong and now she was being chased by who knows how many of those with boogered brains. She looked over her shoulder at the herd and gritted her teeth realizing they were gaining. She knew why, but she didn't want to let herself believe it. She pushed herself harder and skidded around a corner, looking for some magical escape. When she felt a hand tug on her backpack, she winced as she had to shrug it off. She was much faster and lighter without the thing weighing her down, but she felt empty without the protective weight on her shoulders.
"it won't be that hard to drag it out of the way, we just need enough room to squeeze through" Andrew said as he gripped the bookcase and began pulling. Through their combined efforts they were able to drag the bookcase out.
The body of the infected that was crushed was dragged along with it. The noise it made almost made Andrew lose his stomach.

"we'll be back in a bit" Sam says back to the girl, "stay put and rest, your in no condition to be walking right now"
Sam turns and exits through the crawl space, coming out the other side and checks his surroundings, there were no infected in sight, that was good. He waited for Andrew

Janie looked back at the backpack left on the floor and raced off leaving it behind. She skidded around a corner and found herself at a dead end. "No no no!" she shunted angrily and turned back around, but the infected were already on her heels. She turned ramming into a door and shoved it open racing into one of the buildings blindly. She ran across the room and slid out the window on the fire escape. She shoved the window shut behind her and raced down the stairs jumping to the bottom. She looked up hearing a crash as the glass to the window was broken.

As Alyssa was running with Max she saw Janie's backpack and picked it up, she stopped and looked around for her "Max we lost her" She frowns
As Andrew and Sam were walking towards the store they heard a crash of glass coming frome a nearby alley. When they looked they saw a girl standing there.
Andrew gripped his crowbar and looked at her.
"Hey, who are you?"
Suddenly a body fell from the fire escape above, there were quite a few infected and one of them had been pushed over.
"Oh crap! We have to go, hurry up" Andrew yelled not just to Sam, but the girl

Sam braces, clutching his spear tightly, he looks up and sees infected pushing there way out the Window and onto to the fire escape, they shuffle down the escape, one falls over the side and makes a splat of blood on the ground.
He readies his spear and assumes a stance that was ready to receive his enemies.
"come over here! " Sam cries, if they have any chance at surviving this he knows they need to group up

Janie looked up hearing a stranger's voice. She turned as the body fell to the ground. She backed up and turned around racing up the street toward the boy who had called to her. It took her a moment to realize there were two of them. She gasped, breathing heavily trying to get air into her lungs, but they didn't seem to want to fill up.
Andrew pat the girl on the back as soon as she came up, still readying to run
"You okay? You have to catch your breath, we need to go!
The infected were about to make it to the ground, there was another body that had fallen over the edge splattered next to the first.
The three didn't have much time.

Sam handed the spear to Andrew, " we can't lead them back to the camp again, I'll lead them away, I know the area, I'll meet you back at camp" Sam says, darting off a moment later. He sped to the other side of the fire escape and called out to the infected
"hey you psycho piece of dirt, come and get me"
Grabbing the attention of all of the infected, they are now down the fire escape and dashes off with the horde behind him, drawing them away, he looks back toward the other two as they run back toward the camp

Janie nodded her head deciding not to force words out of her mouth. Physically she was fine, it was the loss of her backpack that was bothering her. She stepped away, out of arms reach leaning her hands on her knees. What was with everyone trying to touch here today? She took in another deep breath and motioned him to run. She could follow assuming one of them had a plan. She turned her head as one of them offered to do what she had just done and divert the infected away. Maybe it wasn't as dumb as she thought it had been if someone else was willing to try it. She stood up straight and raced after the one headed to camp.
Andrew had waited a short while for the girl to catch up, but as soon as she did he was back at full speed, they weren't far from the camp.they had caught the attention of a few crazies that were on the way to the camp, so they needed to get there fast. He figured she wasn't going to be much help in a fight.
The two had reached the camp out of breath, and almost instantly the crazies caught up. There were three of them.
"Crawl in there! I'll hold them off out here"
Andrew held the small spear, a little broom handle with a knife attached at the end, as the first infected slammed into him, pinning him to the wall, the knife going through the underside of the head killing it. The second slammed into the first and started reaching towards him.
Andrew noticed the third crawling in after the girl and yelled to them "One got in!"

Janie struggled to keep up, mostly because she had been running a lot longer then he had. Well, that is what she assumed. Reaching the camp, he told her to crawl though a small space. She dropped to her knees and slid inside quickly. She backed away from the opening and heard something hit the wall outside. She lifted her head toward the noise instead of looking in the opening. Her head only dropped to the creature that was crawling inside when she heard a muffle voice from outside yell that one had gotten in. She probably would have screamed if she weren't so out of breath. She pulled her knee to her chest and slammed her foot into the creeper's head. She pulled herself backwards on her elbows out of arms reach before repeating the motion.
Sam rounded the corner of the nearest building, he ran to the right heading down the street, making a left about 500 feet down. He ran toward a pile of rubble from some houses that had collapsed. He had scavenged through them for supplies a while back, he knew of a clump of rubble out of reach from the crazies if you jumped to it. Quickly he climbed up the rubble, crazies clawing and scratching at his legs, he barely avoided the grasp of the psychos.
He reached the top of the pile and looked over to the pile that's was high enough to safe. He ran toward the pile and leaped, he flew to the pile and landed perfectly, it wasn't his first time doing this jump. He looked down and saw about 10 infected surrounding his pillar, 'again?' Sam thought to himself

Andrew was able to push the crazy back long enough for himself to get out of reach. He switched his crowbar from his left hand to his right had and gripped it tight.
He was tired, there were too many of them these last couple day. Each one he came across drained him more and more.

Janie slammed her foot down on the infected's head over and over until she was up against the wall. She cringed seeing blood but continued. Her foot connected again with the insane's head for a final time when the creature stopped moving. Her heart raced furiously as she stared at the dead infected. Her chest rose and fell able to rest for the first time. She lifted her head realizing that someone had asked her a question. She nodded her head "Yeah" she answered pulling her knees to her chest.

Max looked around for Janie and started to panic. "Damn..." He grabbed Alyssa's hand and led her to a dark hiding spot. This wasn't good. More infected were heading dangerously close to where they were hiding. He could feel Alyssa shaking with fear. Dang it Janie...they needed help.

Alyssa covered her face on Max's shoulder, she's scared, she's having a panic attack and can't breath, her heart is racing quickly "Max, breathing hurts" She says and winces
Sam sat there, contemplating life decisions, and wondering whether or not Andrew made it back to safety with the girl.
His mind wandered, he wondered how the girl with the hurt leg was doing, he was hoping she was ok, still breathing and able to do things for herself

Andrew was relieved, he wasn't sure if Rose was still in there, but at least if she was they were safe in there.
He looked towards the street behind him, Sam should be back already.

"I have to find my friend, he's still out there!
He didn't expect Rose to be fighting fit yet, but the other girl seemed like she handle'd the infected that got inside pretty well.
Andrew crawled in just enough to be able to converse, He didn't see Rose in the immediate area, but it didn't register in his mind yet, as he was focusing on getting back out and finding Sam. He pulled off his bag and handed it to the girl.
"There's some food and water in there, feel free to eat it, i'm sure you're drained. I have to go find my friend now. I don't expect you to want to come, but it'd be a real help if you did."
