It was dark when Max woke up from sleeping. The stars were out. It was the only thing that gave him hope for the world. London had been fire bombed by the United States after an extreme betrayal. It also carried a disease that caused it's victims to turn into rage filled murderers. He thanked God he wasn't a victim.

He got up off the dirty mattress he had found in an abandoned house and headed out, one hand on his knife handle that was held by his belt. He had no clue what time it was. It was too hard to tell time since he was without a watch and Big Ben was useless after the bombings. He just wanted to find others. He headed out in search for survivors and the quarantine area.

Alyssa hasn't slept much since her boyfriend died, she's scared that if she falls asleep, she'll die too, she wants to live. She's wandering down a back alley quietly. She stops in her tracks when she sees a boy "h-hello?" she calls out gently. She takes out her knife just for safe measures, last person she saw tried to kill her. (She sees Max btw)

Max stopped and heard a girls voice call out. "Hello?" He turned towards the voice and saw a very pretty girl. He is gay, mind you, but he can give girls complements. He held his hands up and said: "I'm not going to hurt you." He slowly walked towards her with extreme caution.

She watched him carefully, then slowly slide her knife back in its pouch, she walked toward him. "I'm lost...can you help me find the quarantine camp?" She said quietly

"The quarantine camp?" He looked at the girl strangely. "I have no clue where that is, but it seems we're going to the same place. I'm Max." Max held out his hand for the girl to shake to show her he wasn't a threat.

She took his hand and shook it, "I'm Alysaa" She bit her lip, "I'm not even from here, I have no clue where to go, and I'm starving...Do you have some food?" She frowns a little, thinking about her boyfriend.

He eyed her suspiciously. "Well...I don't have much but..." He pulled out some trail mix and gave it to her. "Now, let's go fine some place safe and tell me about yourself."

"Okay" She smiles slightly and they start walking, she snacks on the trail mix as they do. She's quiet while they walk, busy looking around. After a few minutes, "was London nice before everyone...burned?"

Max looked up at the night sky and thought of words to say. "Hmm...yes. It was amazing. The scenery. The people. The places to go. It was amazing. I loved visiting the Natural History Museum with my boyfriend Logan-" he stopped and played with the necklace his boyfriend had given him before the bombs dropped. He smiled sadly. Thinking of all the happy memories he had with Logan. He looked over to Alyssa,"So you don't sound like you're from around here."

The sky was dark, dimly lit by stars when Sydney awoke. She shivered, standing up, grabbing a knife, the only thing she had acquired from her home. She knew it wasn't the best idea to go out at dark, but she wasn't going to stay in this alleyway much longer. Syndey preferred not to sleep in houses anymore, she saw them as omens of death and tragedy. She wandered down the cobblestone streets, knife ready to be drawn at even the slightest crack of a branch. She thought she heard voices talking but brushed it off, she refused to go insane. She kept walking but kept hearing the ambient buzz of voices. She slowly drew her knife, taking cautious steps toward the voices. She saw a boy and a girl, and stepped out of the shadows just enough that she was visible, but that her knife wasn't. She didn't know what weapons these people had, and didn't want to take chances.

She nods "I came from Canada...I was visiting my boyfriend, he visited me lots in Canada so I was gonna surprise him..." Alyssas voice cracks and she looks down, "I found him and then the bombs dropped, he got sick and died..." A tear rolls down her cheek and she looks back up wiping it away quickly, she takes a deep breath then puts on a small smile.

Janie sorted through a few empty cabinets until she found a stray can of beans. "Jackpot" she smiled before slipping the can into her backpack to cook later. She zipped it up and pulled it over her shoulder before scanning over the rest of the apartment. Deciding there wasn't anything left, she climbed out the window and onto the fire escape. She gripped the railing as she made her decent to the ground and hopped onto the gravel. She looked around trying to decide which way she should head. That's when she heard voices. There were at least two people talking. Normally, she would avoid anything that sounded remotely human, but she hadn't heard a conversation in a long time. She headed toward the sound turning a corner and spotted the two talking. She came to a stop, hesitating double thinking about what she was about to do. Even if they weren't insane, would it help to be with other people?

Max heard the sound of footsteps and he stood up quickly drawing his knife. "Shhh..." He said to Alyssa. "Did you hear something?" He looked around but saw nothing but darkness. "I must be hearing things." He sat back down. "I know how it feels to lose people..it hurts." He still was being cautious because of the noises he had heard earlier.

"It sucks really bad..." She looks at him, then around at the shadows, she sees someone move and she points to the figure. She slowly takes out her knife and watched (Btw she saw Janie)

Sydney noticed the flicker of light come from the reflection off the knife the boy was holding, and pondered making herself known. Taking a deep breath, she stayed in the darkness but decided to make a noise. She looked around and then kicked a stack of rubble, causing it to make a big commotion. 'Oh..that was louder than I thought..' she thought to herself, seeing the girl draw her knife, she pressed her body against the wall, but they weren't pointing to her..

Janie turned her head searching for every possible escape route in her head before she continued forward. She gripped one of the straps to her pack protectively as she tried to look confident approaching the strangers who had no trouble showing off their weapons. She came to halt, keeping her distance, well away from the pair. Her grey eyes looked them over, now that she was closer and tried to judge what they were thinking.

Alyssa looked her over and slipped the knife back in its pouch, "I'm Alyssa..." She bites her lip, hoping the girl's not one of those psychopaths. She holds out her hand cautiously and smiles a little.

Janie stared at Alyssa's outstretched hand. The stranger obviously wanted her to close the distance and take her hand. Janie took a few steps forward before stuffing her hands in her pockets. She is no way wanted to touch the stranger. "Alyssa" she repeated looking over the girl's face.

She raised an eyebrow and dropped her hand to the side. She looks at Max a little scared and looks back at the girl, "yea..." Alyssa nods slowly then looks at her feet

Max eyed the new girl and shrugged. "Well I'm Max..." And with that he heard more movement in the shadows. "Who's there?" He drew his knife and looked at Janie. "Were you followed?"

Janie turned her head toward Max and pulled her hands out of her pocket. "No, I wasn't followed." she crinkled her nose in distaste as the stranger's comment. Her eyes left the duo for a moment and focused on where the crash had come from and then looked down at the knife in Max's hand.

Walking through the streets, Rose moved around the scattered decaying bodies, and spare metal. The red burnt brick, and blacken stones. Looking around she took in the damage, the homes not whole yet completely distorted, not a single sound, there was nothing except silence. She missed the birds, she knew it was thumb to think that but honestly she did, she missed them and there beautiful songs. Drops began to fall throughout the land, looking up she noted the clouds grew darker. A single thought coming to mind "storm" reaching back she through up her hood, reaching back to make sure she still had her weapons, she sighed in relief. Looking forward, she sped up her walk, for no reason at all, yet it comfort her. And she wanted to get out of the rain.

Samuel wakes up, not quite sure what woke him. He crawls out of the ruins he hides in when he needs rest. He looks out down the street to his left and doesn't see much through the blinding dust, he crawls back into the ruins and returns to outside world with apple and bites into it. He needed to go out to scavenge for more supplies today but knows infected activity was up recently in this part of town. He hears something in the distance and looks in the direction the sounds are coming from, and can see silhouettes through the dust

"Well...good" he said before he gave an idea, "You are all looking for the quarantine area, yeah? Well, since we all are not bat-crazy, this could be a possibility to get there, as a team." He looked at the 2 girls, awaiting their answers, hoping they'd like the idea of it. Just then, droplets of rain started to fall down,"But first, let's find some shelter...the Crazies love the dark and rainy..."

Alyssa nods with a small smile and looks for a quiet empty building, she finds one and it's a little bit broken but the roof is still in tact and keeps you hidden, "Over there Max" She smiles and starts going towards that building, sure there could be a cellar in it if something happens.
