Realistic or Modern Put It Into Speed Drive

Eddie frowned deeply as he woke up hearing her crying. He sighed softly and pulled her close to him trying to see if she would settle tonight or not. He normally woke up to her crying and did his best to comfort her through it. It killed him to see her still hurting so deeply and he knew that these wounds would only be able to somewhat heal with time.

Max frowned deeply and gave a heavy sigh "Because you entertained them Jon. I never trusted them, its why I attacked Ima. I know that situation was different, but its why I didn't want them near you. And then right after we break up you're already sleeping with one of them! I understand the relationship was done, but could you really move on so quickly as to sleep with another woman not even 24 hours after we've broken up?"

He rolled his eyes and shooo his head at that. “I didn’t entertain them. I let them talk at me. Not once have I ever led any of them to believe it was ever gonna happen. And she was different. Cause for gods sakes we fucked. That was it.” He muttered. “I was horny and frustrated. Nothing more.” He pointed out.

She eventually calmed down once she was in his arms a bit more, settling back down and instinctively holding onto him, not waking up til the sun was coming through the curtains this time and she could hear Eddie brushing his teeth

Max gave a heavy sigh and ran a hand over her face before taking a deep breath "Look...we can go back and forth all night honestly...I know you don't want that and neither do I." She said before watching him "So how about this, one last try, we take things slow though. How does that sound?"

Eddie stepped out of the restroom to check on Carmen and gave her a cheeky grin when he saw her awake. He waved before going back to brushing his teeth. He came back out and sat beside her "Hey beautiful, how are you this morning?"

He sighed a little and watched her nodding. “That’s all I’ve been asking for.” He told her quietly

Carmen smiled tiredly and rolled in closer to him. “I don’t think I slept very good.” She mumbled, “but other than that fine. I’m gonna go check up on the house again today. You wanna save a little on gas and I can drop you off at work and pick you up when you’re done?”

Max gave a small nod moving closer to him before kissing his cheek gently "Ya know my pants are starting to not fit anymore. I'll get a little bump here soon." She said softly

Eddie gave a small nod kissing her temple gently "Yeah that sounds good. Maybe we could grab something to eat before hand?" He offered while wrapping his arms around her.

He smiled a little. “I’m excited for the boobs getting bigger.” He grinned at her, “whoa can’t hit me when I’m injured.” He told her, putting his hands up defensively.

Carmen smiled and nodded. “Sounds good puppy.” She murmured.

Max gasped and went to smack his arm but stopped as he put his arms up "Oh you're lucky you're hurt." She said before giving a small laugh and kissing his cheek again "Listen I gotta get to sleep, but the guest room is yours for the night if you want." She said softly before yawning.

Eddie smiled and blushed lightly at the nickname. He kissed her gently and pressed his forehead to hers just loving this moment for them "Can I ask a favor? Can you help me with that conditioning treatment? My hair is getting wild again."

She nodded tiredly, stretching out and finally pulled herself out of bed, heading to the bathroom and groaned as she looked in the mirror. “Ed, your beard is giving me a chin rash again.” She muttered. She’d asked him to shave a few times because of this but she wasn’t about to force him to

He nodded and got up carefully, grabbing some water from the kitchen and heading up to the guest room without a fuss. He wasn’t planning on pushing his luck with her right now

Eddie chuckled and started to get dressed "I don't know why your skin is so sensative. I'll think about cutting it." He called to her before popping his head in and smiling wide at her.

Max woke up the next morning and immediately made her way to the bathroom getting her morning sickness out of the way. She sighed heavily as she got into the kitchen starting up the coffee for Jon. She looked over when she heard him shuffling in and gave a small wave "Good morning....coffee should be ready for you soon."

She frowned and groaned a little, not about to argue it with him but she knew it was because the damn thing was dirty. She just didn’t wanna push any buttons. She hadn’t wanted to push any buttons in the whole time they’d been together but she could certainly feel the pressure starting to build, worried she was going to explode sooner rather than later.

He nodded and stepped over to the counter to take the meds they’d given him with some water, feeling like he’d been hit by a semi. “Thanks.” He murmured, rubbing her back gently in circles while he leaned against the counter.

Eddie finished getting ready before going downstairs to start on some breakfast and coffee for the two of them.

Max gave a soft smile and nodded some "You're welcome. How are you feeling today?" She asked softly while looking up at him.

She got down there and sat on the counter, watching him tiredly. “Who else is working tonight?” She asked him quietly. She hadn’t caught up with Jess recently as they’d been on different shifts every time. That and there was another new girl now who had decided she didn’t like Carmen so was making it difficult at work. At least she’d had Eddie trying to keep them scheduled separately.

He shrugged a little. “Sore. Like I got put through a meat grinder.” He told her. “But alright. You wanna go out for breakfast? My treat?” He asked her quietly, restin his chin on her shouoder

Eddie thought for a moment before answering "Uh well Jess is there for a few hours. Then Wendy comes in for the late shift." He explained givimg a small sigh. He knew she didn't get along well with Wendy, she was a nice enough girl but even he had his issues with her.

Max gave a small nod and smiled "Yeah that sounds nice.Ihop sound okay? I can actually stomach their pancakes surprisingly." She said giving a small laugh

She nodded “I might come down and hang out then. I don’t really wanna go back to the house for a few days. Yesterday was… rough.” She sighed a little. It hadn’t been fun seeing how much of her stuff had been destroyed. It felt like he was still getting to her even if he had left. “I promise to behave.” She smiked, wrapping her arms around him when he came to stand between her legs. “Don’t mix up our coffees please.” She teased him a little.

Jon nodded and pecked her cheek. “Sounds good to me.” He murmured, going to get changed and came back out to the kitchen. “You want me to drive?” He asked, just eyeing her up and down and smiling.

Eddie chuckled some and gave her a salute "I wasn't the one to mix them up the first time. You mixed up the cups." He chuckled before handing her a cup and going to make his own making sure to add a ton of creamer and sugar.

Max nodded as she got her shoes on giving him a smile "What are you staring at?" She asked as she caught him eyeing her up and down "Do I have something on me?"

She smiled and shook her head, sipping at her coffee while she watched him tiredly. “I think my biggest issue with Wendy is the way she talks to you. And about you. She implies so hard that you’re really really stupid. And yes you can be an idiot and yes your decisions are questionable at times but I don’t appreciate her belittling you constantly. Even if you don’t care. I do.” She told him frowning.

He smiled and shook his head. “No no… just admiring is all.” He winked at hee, reaching for the keys, heading out there with her and got in the drivers side

Eddie gave a small sigh and shrugged a bit "Ain't nothin I haven't heard before Doll. She ain't got shit on a few exes or my old man." He said with a light laugh "Don't let her get to you okay? She won't last long their anyways if she keeps up the way she is going, because she kind of sucks at bartending."

Max felt blush flood her cheeks as she walked out with him smiling widely. As their morning progressed she started to feel more relaxed and at ease than she had in the past few months. She really had missed him dearly and was just hopeful that this time they really could make things work.

She frowned and shook her head again. “Ed I’m serious. I’m not gonna put up with it. A I’m not gonna listen to her talk about you like that and b I’m not gonna hear it and say nothing for her to then talk shit about me for not sticking up for you.” She muttered, getting down from the counter and heading to wash up her mug then go get dressed.

By the time they got back to hers he could tell she was worn out and so was he but he didn’t really wanna push it and ask if she wanted to take a nap with him just yet. “Hey you still got that list of stuff we need for the jelly bean?”

Eddie finished up his coffee ans gave a small sigh before nodding to her "Alright alright. I can't make you do amything, but I will say that you don't have to alright?" He said before kissing her gently and taking her hand to go out.

Max nodded some and smiled "Yeah I got the registry set up. I'll send it over to you." She said before yawning and taking his hand heading to her room "Just napping, no funny business."

He smiled and shook his head. “Ah yes. I am fully capable of any other activity with broken ribs and road rash.” He winked at her. “You wanna go get stuff picked up tomorrow?” He asked her quietly, kicking his boots off and undoing his jeans to be a little more comfortable.

She grumbled a bit but left it at that, letting him drive to take them to lunch, resting her hand on his thigh. “So I was thinking maybe, if you could manage to schedule it… maybe for my birthday we could go to San Diego for comic con?” She smiled at him. “I haven’t been in a few years and I did get a good look at how worn out all of your dnd stuff is.” She smiked at him. “Only if you’re not gonna get in the ear from people about scheduling that. Cause I don’t want to get special treatment for dating my manager I just think if I tell you far enough ahead of time that it might work?” She was rambling now.

Max nodded some and groaned in relief as dhe took off her tights to put on baggy night shorts "I'm not even big yet and I'm already tired of pants." She said before climbing into bed

Eddie smiled widely and took her hand in his giving it a squeeze to get her to calm down just a bit "I think thats a wonderful idea and I will see what I can do to make it happen." He told her sweetly before focusing back on the road.

He chuckled a little and shook his head. “You’ve always been tired of pants. Not much has changed there.” He smiled, holding her close as he could without aching.

She nodded happily, having a nice quiet lunch with him before going down to the bar to drop him off and hopefully have a little catch up with Jess, groaning a little seeing Wendy there already, grumbling a little but still went inside with him, pecking his cheek. “Call me when you’re done for the night and I’ll come pick you up.” She told him, going to sit at the bar and smiled at Jess. “I have deposited the manager for the day. Make sure he behaves.” She smiled at hrr

Max gave a small laugh and nodded some "You have a point." She murmured before starting to drift off almost instantly.

Jess smiled widely at Carmen as she sat at the bar "Oh you know he is a big ol teddy bear." She said with a small laugh. She gave her a glass of water before wiping down her half of the bar "How have you been sweetheart?"

Jon woke up a little before her, checking she was still sleeping before taking a couple more painkillers and went to get a drink, rubbing at his face some. He knew they shouldn’t have given him the strong stuff when he left. He was ready to argue it with them even but in the end he’d been more concerned with other matters and now he could already feel like he was slipping down an old path.

Carmen smiled, thanking her. “Not bad, the house is getting there but it’s not getting much easier to handle. So I can’t wait to sell it and be rid of it, plus eddies place is bigger anyway for when we need space from each other.” She smiled, ignoring the way Wendy scoffed at that. “How’s everything with you? Drew managing a better balance between you and the club yet?” She asked her

Max came into the bathroom a few minutes later rubbing at her eyes "Mornin..." she muttered in a grumpy tone before splashing some water on her face "I'm ready for this first trimester to be over so I can get rid of this morning sickness."

Jess gave a small smile and nodded some "Yeah he got himself together thankfully. Have you guys talked about fully moving in together?" She asked as she looked down the bar at Eddie with her.
