In a world where the sky shines a soft purple hue at night and superpowers are real, those few blessed with such gifts receive them at 13. These powers vary from bending metal with nothing but the power of the mind alone to wielding the elements as if they're mere toys. While the possibilities are seemingly endless, those born with powers are taken from their families to be trained and honed from a young age in order to evolve into the ultimate defenders of justice. Heroes are supposed to be protectors of the weak, however there are those who use their gifts for much darker pursuits.

Official crime-fighting groups organized by the governments of the world exist, and these prestigious groups are worshiped by the public at large for the perceived good they do for the community, with many of them having saved the world from the brink of destruction multiple times over. However, their perceived goodness is not all that it seems. After all, one can have the most amazing gifts in the world and still be corrupted by power and money.

Not everyone gets picked for these groups. Those that don't either end up as vigilantes - lone heroes who take the law into their own hands while trying to find justice without supervision from any governing body - or as "burn-outs". Burn-outs are the unfortunate, unwanted nickname given to those gifted with amazing abilities who either squandered their potential as heroes and were not chosen for any group or those who chose to lead normal, everyday lives despite their wonderful talents. Burn-outs are deeply stigmatized, looked down upon as losers who had something amazing in their hands and let it go.

Obviously, with a gift as rare as a superpower, many civilians envy those blessed and pursue ways of obtaining power on their own terms. Those more scientifically inclined might construct robotic parts or mech-suits to compensate for their birthright, or experiment on themselves to try to give themselves an advantage. Many without the intelligence or guts to perform such risky tests may train with a weapon set or attempt to hone their bodies to unlock unknown inner potential. While looked at as a joke by superheroes and as freaks by the public at large, these individuals - derisively labelled as "wanna-be's", often become the most heroic figures - and the most devious villains.

It was one cool summer evening that an alliance between several wanna-bes and burn-outs formed. This small event would set in motion a chain of events that would change everything - leading to a revolution that would shock the world to its core.

This RP is going to be super diverse with the ability to play as just about any character you want in this universe. You could be the civilian love-interest of a powerful vigilante, a corrupt crime-fighter doing things behind the public's back, a freedom fighter in the group of wanna-bes and burn-outs, or pretty much anything. Because of this, every individual has up to five characters they can play due to the vast amount of characters that can be played. You can use face claims but they have to be drawn. Anime, art, doesn't matter! Now, I need the rules to be read.

(1. No homophobia, transphobia, misogyny, ableism, racism, or any other kind of bigotry will be tolerated. You pull that nonsense, you're out.
(2. No underage characters. I am not comfortable with violence shown to children, however a character can have a back-story that involves a character with a dead or injured child. This is not BNHA, this does not take place in a high school.
(3. No sexual stuff! Obey the site rules guys. ESPECIALLY not about minors. If I even think you're even tempted to go in that direction, if you even joke about it, you will be ignored and reported. INSTANTLY. No second chances. OBEY THE SITE RULES.
(4. No god-modding, or overpowered characters. When I say that, I don't mean you can't have an amazingly powerful character whose footsteps can bring down buildings. I mean no one who can control others, no one who could one-hit-KO anyone without even trying (you are NOT saitama). I know mind-control is a fun power but it can't work in this setting.
(5. Feel free to rip off powers from other stuff. Playing with the ideas of others and twisting it into your own is a huge part of the creativity process! No one will make fun of you if you steal bakugo or the hulk's powers, just try to call them something else.
(6. If you have a hard time coming up with a power, use the superpower wiki. Seriously, it is AWESOME.
(7. While there will be nothing NSFW or inappropriate as it must lineup with the sites rules, I am not comfortable with an adult's character romancing a minors. That is weird and gross and bad and it is not okay. Everyone has to share their age when submitting a character sheet. If you don't, or I suspect you're lying, you will be ignored by me and I will report you.

History: He was tired from loneliness. He walks alone when people are merry around him. He walks alone when they are gone. He was alone for far too long. HIs thoughts becoming tainted...twisted. He talked to himself to stop the thoughts, they were telling him to do things he didn't want to. He was a good man. He talked to himself as others were loud around him. He talked to himself when they eventually quieted down. The voice in his head still talked...was it still his voice? It told him to do things so he can have a better life, so he can be saved. He didn't listen, he was a good man. The voice got louder, become more insistent. He denied it, he was a good man. Then it started screaming...He tried to stop it by talking louder, it still screamed. He scratched, clawed at his ears till it bleed, it still screamed. Then stopped. Singing. That's all he heard. Someone was singing. It grew louder. He stood upright from where he was cowering, blood still dripping from his ears, and looked for the source of that voice. It was easy to find it since the people talking in the market did not make a sound. He walked towards the sound, it mended him. Bit by bit, he was being put back together. He needed to find that voice, to keep it with him, safe. The voice was too precious. No one understood that voice like he did. He walked closer to the voice, so close he could make out each breathe. A reflection on a glass plane showed himself. His lips was moving, singing to that sweet melody that so filled his head. The face stopped and smiled...he smiled back.

Personality: Lee is upbeat, intelligent and quick-witted. He is extremely creative, His apartment littered with her canvases, acrylics, paper and models. He is something of an optimist. His voice is fairly monotone, He is both reserved and chatty. Most would describe him as 'peaceful', and his general vibe is laid-back and calm. To his friends and those in the community, he's a constant fresh breeze, although he can be awkward to communicate with at first, being a stranger. Behind closed doors, he immerses herself in her guitar playing, songwriting and art. Most of the locals and public members recognise him for his good work in the community, but he has suspected some underhand dealing in the group he co-operates with and her authorities. His musical and creative skills spark quick thinking and problem solving, and many of his friends will knock on his door and buzz a notification on his mobile asking for advice. AKA *big bro/BFG vibes*
His 'worser' traits, is that he is bad with anything too personal, unless he is listening to someone in need, which he always has open ears for. But when it comes to himself, he struggles to explain what may be really going on, his past, and what he is thinking/feeling in certain situations. Lee will always revert to the 'good friend' mode, being self-resourceful and putting others first. In the moments when he has to expose his feelings to someone intimately, he finds it easiest in song and expression through his art, but this is rarely the case, having not been as intense with anyone save a few.
His inability to express himself, even in his art at times, sparks an anger that he finds hard to control when alone. He hopes no-one would encounter him in an episode at home, but it upsets him afterwards. It's a rarity to see him cry or be upset in general, although those closest to him will notice subtle signs. Summing him up: he's a big softie with anger issues behind the scenes.

Status: Works with an anti-crime group, tries to avoid violence as a means of dealing with situations, and supports the rehabilitation of criminals. He is all for positive networking rather than brute force, hence his gaining respect from members of the community. He will however use his powers and agility skill in given situations.

Mannerisms: idle animations, FINGER GUNS, tapping his collarbone and lower lip when uncomfortable, rolling on the balls of his feet, rocking/swaying.

Superpower: Fire Generation/Pyrogenesis

Strengths: Arts, music, singing, problem solving, speed/running, training.

Weaknesses: He is a secret sentimental, and can take things personally, as well as overthinking - which sparks his temper. He does not show this in public, or at least, it's rarely shown.

Fears: Extreme claustrophobia, large crowds and closed off rooms/small spaces make him extremely uncomfortable

Personality: Akira is monotone in her way of speaking, but on occasion can show small bursts of emotion. Though she is blunt and straightforward, she has been known to be antagonistic to those she feels are weak-minded. She tends to lack empathy/sympathy for others. But even she has things she enjoys. She enjoys reading and writing poems, and reading novels no matter how long or short. She can be seen with a book in her hand almost all the time. Akira has a stroke of mischief in her blood though.
She has a hatred for authority figures, and doesn't really help with anything due to crime-stopping, and instead causes small crimes and mischief using her powers throughout the city.
Akira is proud of her abilities, and has a superiority-complex because of them. Akira has a sweet-tooth, loves her foster father and boyfriend.

History: Abandoned child because of her albinism, bullied child. Grew stronger and more antagonistic from the result of bullying in foster care and school. Finally finding a good foster home as a teenager, her foster father accepted her as she was, and made her believe her abilities were beautiful. He was an enhanced being as well, and taught her how to hone her abilities and taught her martial arts. As she became an adult she met Leon in a cafe, and got to know him overtime. Within a few months, an unfamiliar feeling struck inside her heart and found out she was in love with him. When confessed they have been dating ever since.

Status: Burn-out.

Superpower: Electricity manipulation/Electrokinesis. Heightened Senses and Agility.

Strengths: Martial Arts, Close combat, Writing, Reading, Agility, Baking, Academics, Electricity Control.

Weaknesses: Long drawn out fights, fighting against water elements, expressing empathy, staying awake for longer than seven hours. Lazy, constantly sleepy and sleeping, sensitive to loud noises and large crowds.

Fears: Cockroaches, Jumping bugs, excessive heights, death, large crowds and excessive loud noises make her jump and writhe.

Hobbies: Writing, Reading, Baking, Eating Sweets, and Sleeping for long periods.
