Fandom Puella Magi: Universe

Tsubaki nodded, listening as Yui and Kyubey went back and forth for a moment. So the powers themselves weren't always tied to the wish, but their strength was... But what about the wish effected the strength of the girl's power? Though it seemed there were even exceptions to that rule. Ugh, why does this have to be confusing? Though it wasn't like she had any idea of what to possibly wish for. Not any more anyway.

"I can't imagine you've ever regretted your wish, have you?"

"I dont regret saving my brother and I easliy do it again. I warn you though to think carefully or you could regret it." Says yui.

"No kidding," Tsubaki muttered. Sighing, she rested her forehead against her hand. "To be honest . . . " her voice had taken a lower tone, "had Kyubey popped up about six years ago I would have had a wish in mind." She shook her head, "But that chance is long gone."

" kyubey wont stop following you till you make a wish. It's persist like that " says yui as an alarm goes off on her phone. "Sorry I have to go"

"Yeah, I got that impression from him." Tsubaki muttered before nodding, "Alright. Well, thanks for sharing at least." She watched as Yui stood and quickly left. She had a better idea on how things worked now, though that didn't help in coming up with a wish. Let alone knowing whether or not she wanted to get involved.

As yui walks home she thinks about the magical girls she met and tsubaki. Yui hopes tsubaki doesnt make a rash decision to make her wish. Like wishing for chocolate.

Yui arrives home to find her mom making a cake. " hi mom, is shin cake done. Can I like the spacshila?

Yui's mom quickly answers her daughter. " Yes it's done. Once it cools we can decorate it. Here spacshila for you but only after a hug."

" Well what do you say?" Kuybey asked appearing from nowhere once again " Or do you want to talk to another more direct magical girl?" Kuybey continued.

Tsubaki gave a somewhat annoyed sigh towards the cat . . . rabbit . . . thing. Just what the hell was Kyubey anyway? 'You sure seem to think it's an easy choice.' She knew with his telepathy he'd hear her. 'Like I told Yui, had you showed up about six years ago I would have had the perfect wish in mind. But that chance is long gone. There's just nothing that stands out.' She stood and left the tea shop, enjoying the warmth of the afternoon sun. Monsoon season was supposed to be starting soon. Nothing but day after day of rain and grey skies. She took advantage of the little sunlight they had left for pretty much a good month until the storms passed.

' Who says that chance is lost time is not an issue after you saw a magical girl with time related powers what do you think her wish was about" Kuybey said tilting his head " If you regret something that much i could fix it you just have to wish for it"

Tsubaki shook her head. 'I'm not about to try and bring back the dead.' That just felt wrong. The fact she even thought about it for a fraction of a second made her angry at herself.

" Bringing back the dead is not that hard, they could come back exactly as they were or you could just stop them from having died in the first place you wouldn't be the first with such a wish in fact there is another girl who made that wish and she doesn't regret it" Kuybey explain its tone never changing.

She shook her head again. 'Yeah, no. That's just all kinds of wrong to be attempting that . . .' Stepping back into her home, she was greeted by the clicking of nails on the floor as her dog rushed to say hello to her. Poor thing couldn't get much in the way of traction on the floor though.

" How sad" Kuybey said appearing on Tsubaki's couch " Well i can't really understand why you refuse to gain what you want " He continued " But that is how it goes sometimes seeing as there are other girls i must see and innocent humans being killed by Yoma right now with no one to stop them who knows who might be next" Kuybey said " You never know when or where a Yoma will attack or who they will find, but that isn't your concern "

Her crimson eyes narrowed at the white creature. "Now you're just trying to guilt me into it . . . " She rubbed her eyes, could he even bring her back? Give her a life without those disabilities that took her in the first place . . . but how much would it change? Would it change me any?

" No i am simply stating the possibilities and the certainties that could happen" Kuybey said looking to the dog then to Tsubaki and tilting his head " As i said Yoma could come at any time for anyone and while i have spent time with you grief seeds have hatched and people have died, but like i said that isn't really your concern now is it? Your concern is your normal life no matter how abruptly it may end "

Tsubaki rubbed the bridge of her nose, "You're nothing but persistent, that's for sure..." The thought was still there, perhaps beyond tempting. But would it really be the right thing to do? Wouldn't a wish like that be selfish of her?

" Well my work is very important after all without magical girls this world would be consumed by the Yoma like others have been " Kuybey said as earth was not the first world they had tried this system on it worked the best here though " I am here to help in any way i can and to do what must be done " Kuybey continued once again looking tot he dog that couldn't even sense it as if amused at the idea of pets.

"So what," her tone began to grow frustrated as she continued to go back and forth on things, "I make some wish, gain magic powers, then try not to die figuring out how to even handle them? I'm not exactly some warrior or something."

" Most powers are known innately while there maybe some training to use them effectively you should know how to use them on an instinctual level " Kuybey explained if he could be surprised he would be by the girl seeming to miss the idea that the world might be destroyed " that aside you could always team up with a more experienced magical girl until you get the hang of things " he suggested.

She looked away from Kyubey, staring out the window. "You just expect a bunch of kids to handle all of this? I'm older than all of them . . . " She shook her head, unconsciously wringing her hands together. It was something she always seemed to do when stressed or trying to think about something. Hiding her emotions wasn't exactly a specialty of hers and that was just one of the many annoying little tells she had. It would make things better for everyone else right? I mean we probably wouldn't be in so much debt... Medical bills, it seemed no matter where you looked they were dragging a family into ruin. Finally she took a breath, "fine . . ." Tsubaki muttered.

" If older girls could become magical girls i would make the offer but sadly it is only younger one those in or about to enter puberty" Kuybey explained as Tusbaki thought it over then he head her speak finally he would have another magical girl for this city " Very well state your wish Tusbaki and make a contract with me" Kuybey said seemingly excited.

Being so wrapped up in thought, she missed the comment about only younger girls being able to make the wish. Or at least hadn't processed it yet. "Can you changes things?" Her crimson gaze was focused on Kyubey, "Make it so Hana never died or was born with disabilities? Leave me knowing that things are any different? Well, can you?"

" i can " kuybey said simply as it was very true he could do either of those two wishes " SO then what is your wish?" he asked again her ear arms seemingly growing a little.
