For the record, I kind of built Tiberian from a more stylized view of stars than the actual colossal spheres of gas in constant combustion, held together by gravity drifting within the void of space.

I know, but it's fun to try to even comprehend something that isn't tangled. Like fire, I asked a physics professor on my visit to Georgia Tech what it was and he was giving a lesson about matter as a recap. He danced around the fact that he didn't know what fire was. Like what is it? Is a a gas, or a liquid, who knows. But at the end of the class he comes up to me and tells me privately that they still don't know what fire is.

I have no clue, though I do like the fact that plasma acts like a Soild liquid and gas, depending on what element is heated.

I had no idea how to introduce Tiberian into the RP. So in typical Tiberian fashion, he made a stealthy entrance in the most noticeable way possible, without making noise.

Yu ShunYu looked up at the two taller Guardians as the one with the board introduced himself as Mercury Valentine while the lady asked how they got to be on the ship. Was he being spoken to directly...? Maybe he could save talking for last and get Mercury or even her to go first? ...No. It'd been days since he'd really spoken to someone other than to tell the woman crashing was an accident. Happy that the few cracks on his Aura had mostly dissipated, he opened his mouth to utter the words, "Charlie. I'm Charlie and I was chosen to be here because I'm a kitsune..." As quietly as he said it, it was a big step on his road to gaining a tail. Of course, lying about his name wouldn't look well, but how weird would 'I am Yu' or 'I am Shun' sound? Besides, he'd heard plenty of stories about people from different places making up names when they moved so it was easier for others to say. What made it different here?


Spending so much time wondering about his new name, Yu forgot completely that the kitsune part was open to more questions. Hopefully the backstories of others was more interesting than his own.

Mercury hadn't expected the young fox kid to have such an ordinary name, though he held off from voicing such an opinion. The young man folded his arms across his chest and rested against the wall behind him, listening to Charlie explain to Caroline the reason why he was on board.


"Huh. There's gotta be more to it than that." Mercury had a hard time believing that Charlie was only allowed entry for his race. Though he'd never seen a Kitsune and knew very little of them, he had no doubt that the Fox boy's own merits had played some part in his acquisition onto Project Salem. "The way I see it, everyone here is a badass in some way. You're no exception to that, Charlie."


When Caroline awaited a response from Mercury, he was quick to answer with an arrogant grin.


"Well, I'm a Guardian. We all are, ain't we? No other reason needed." Mercury left out his role as a freedom fighter in Cygnus. How would others see him if he fully admitted to abandoning his people in pursuit of this new world? Of coarse his intentions were always for the good of Cygnus, but he wasn't sure anyone else would see his reasoning.

Jacky did her best to pay attention to Marjorie while she spoke of her home country. The girl sure did like to talk. Jacky was starting to feel like she was being pressured into speaking more, but she'd never let that get to her. She held her tongue when the enthusiastic girl mentioned that her Kingdom was responsible for the fresh produce they ate. She had no way of knowing that those who grew up in the war torn Cygnus were mostly used to receiving rations and rarely had anything fresh.


"I see. This tea is excellent, by the way." Jacky finished her cup with one final sip and placed it back down on the tray. Since Marjorie had answered her question, she felt it only necessary to return the favor.


"I come from Cygnus. Not a very pretty place. Though others had it worse off there than I did."
