[Private] History doomed to repeat itself

Yalis grew excited and cried out "Oh, don't worry it's not a problem, I can get you out of here, I'll go with you guys!" Damik nodded "Okay, I guess. But how are we going to get out of here without being caught?" Damik looks at the flap out of the tent, fearing the worst should they escape. Yalis scratched her head with one arm and rubbed it chin thoughtfully with the other. It was pretty comical, Damik thought as he watched but it wasn't his place to say how strange it was since she was a different species than him.

Yalis snapped her finger, "I got it!" She ran out of the tent, she returned seconds later with two long cloaks that would cover most of their bodies and their face "This should help, it's what our wounded wear when their recovering. It's customary to hide their faces and bodies while they heal and regenerate". Damik grinned, "Thank you, Yalis, I appreciate it". He throws the cloak on and makes sure to cover his body. Yalis leads them out of the tent. Damik looks around cautiously, but none of the mutants that shuffled past recognized them as a threat and simply disregarded the trio that walked by. Yalis had to keep from nearly bouncing up and down in excitement "It's working! I knew it would work" They made their way out of the camp as quickly as possible.

------

Kasia nodded "Well, they're both linguakins, one is a peach haired girl and the other a bleach haired boy". Jori walked with his nose to the ground, his golden eyes calculating images as he sniffed. He lifted his head to look at Kasia "I do smell something, a trace of a scent that is on you, it must be you're friends. They've been taken to the mutant tribe." Kasia gasped "Oh no! I knew something was wrong! I hope they're okay!" She whimpered, her ears and tail drooping low. Jori told them to follow "We'll need to stay close to the bushes, to avoid being found when we get closer". Jori made his way into the brush, crouching low. Kasia imitated his action but not as well. They arrived close to the mutant camp. "Now what?" Kasia asked. Jori stared into the mutant land "Now, we have to figure out how to get close, but not too close" he said.

Just then Jori noticed three figures, two of them in hoods approaching. He let out a low growl. This was not good, it was possible they could take them on, three against three and one of them was rather small. But he didn't know if it was best to play it safe and retreat. He looked over to Sage "Fight or Flight?" he growled.

(pfft Chemi is going to end up adopting Yalis. She’s gunna fall in love with her and take care of her like she would a daughter xD .)

Chemi threw the coat on, giving a silent thanks to Yalis. Chemi almost physically flinched every time someone approached them. She was pretty afraid, Mutants make her afraid. She would admit they plague her nightmares at night. She unconsciously blamed them and the Oracle for the downfall and death of her people. Yet she just promised Yalis, a Mutant child, an adventure of the world. What did she just get herself into? What If the child grows to hate like most of her Mutant brotheran? Chemi feared for the child’s future. She was so young yet making a choice to leave her tribe so quickly. Chemi hoped that she did not regret the decision later.

They moved as quickly as they could without attracting attention. Chemi was so soar from being beat up ealier that she felt like she was walking with a limp. She guessed it made her look much more convincing than if she was walking straight. Gently she touched Yalis’s back to help keep her calm, flashing Damik worried glances ever now and again. When they made it out of the camp, Chemi made no move to take off the cloak.

“Neither.” Sage said to Jori, “We should wait, my gut tells me to.” She kept a ready stance to attack but there was something telling her to just stay put. It felt longer than a few minutes but eventually the three approached them. One of the cloaked figures took a step forward, “Kasia…?” It called. The figure then threw its hood off and ran towards Kasia. To Sage’s surprise it was the peach colored Linguakin that Kasia mentioned not moments ago.

Chemi ran a bit of the distance between her and Kasia to give the girl a hug. When she embraced Kasia she began to gently pet her ears. “Oh Kasia, you came to rescue us! I am touched, but we need to go quickly, get as far from here as we can. It would be bad to head the direction that Damik’s tribe went because that would be where they would expect us to run. We must go else ware.” Chemi then took both Yalis’s and Kasia’s hands and begain to lead them into the buches. “Your friends can come with us Kasia. Hurry Damik.”

Sage gave a wary look at Jori. Letting the group go first, Sage remained behind the group to watch their back. She did not want anything sneaking up on them. She eyed the Mutaint that the Linguakin was holding on to. She had no idea if it was a prisoner or spy. Sage’s pack was very familure with prisoners of war. Regardless, she tried not to let the small child mutant bother her and concentrated on watching the end of the group.

Chemi lead the group down the side of a hill and made sure to keep a quick pace. Chemi eventually did let go of Kasia’s hand, but kept a hold of Yalis’s. After what Chemi was sure was serval hours of walking, she broke for everyone to be able to take a breather. “I think… we might be in the clear now.” Chemi finally announced.

Jori tilted his head in a perplexed state when he seen the mutants, who turned out not to be mutants when a peach haired girl dropped her hood and the white haired one did the same.

Damik's eyes flashed a yellow color. It was Kasia! They had met up again, he was a bit confused by the two other companions, the wolf faunans, but he supposed introductions would be for later. "Great! You found us!" He chuckled when Chemi excitedly ran forward to embrace the Sapien girl who seemed shocked and happy at the same time.

Kasia yipped in surprise as she was suddenly embraced by her lost, now found, friend. “Oh Kasia, you came to rescue us! I am touched, but we need to go quickly, get as far from here as we can. It would be bad to head the direction that Damik’s tribe went because that would be where they would expect us to run. We must go else ware.” Kasia waggled her tail excitedly and hugged her friend back, "I'm glad you're okay..." was all she managed to say, her ears twitched as Chi reached to touch them.

Yalis was excited to no end when she met the friends of her tribes prisoners and her new friends. "This is so much fun! Hi my name is Yalis, I'm from the mutant tribe but I'm friends with your friends, so I guess I'm your friend" Yalis giggled excitedly as the tumult of words sprang from her mouth. She looked back to see her tribe had noticed the tent was devoid of prisoners "Uh oh, time to go". Chemi grabbed her hand and the girls hand and they ran quickly.

Kasia yipped again when her hand was taken and they ran into the distance, away from the apparent danger.

Damik looked at the girls on the run "Hey, wait up" He cried out as he ran to catch up with the absconding trio.

Jori twitched his white pennant ears and looked over to Sage, who like him seemed uneasy. "I don't feel great about this either. But think about it, its an odd group of outcasts, why would they attack us when their all different themselves" he swished his tail and padded out of the grass "Still, we should be wary and take off at a moments notice should something go awry" with that he took off in a run, pacing behind the group and staying with Sage.

Damik huffed as they finally stopped running after awhile, they were at the base of a hill "Yeah I agree, lets take a break". Yalis bounced up and down, her hand still in Chi's when she cried "Oh hey! I still have some fire starters from the camp. Their in my coat". The girl wore a large coat the drooped over her body quite a bit, the sleep going far past her arms. She pushed her hands in the pockets and then let go of Chi's hand, kneeling down to pull out the two rocks. With one pair of arms she grabbed a bunch of sticks and brush and piled it up while at the same time the other arms scraped the rocks together, sending a flurry of sparks in the air. The sparks caught on the brush and a small flame burst from it. She dropped the rocks on the ground next to her and clapped her sleeved hands in unison. "Ta da!" She said with pride.

Damik looked down at the fire below him "Impressive" he said, bathed in the glow and heat of it. He sat down cross legged next to the girl and informed the others to sit as well. "Now, it's been a bit crazy. I still can't comprehend what happened. Why don't we sit down and tell each other what had happened". Lya nodded, sitting down on the other side, curling her black fluffy tail in her lap and wrapping her arms around it for comfort as she listened intently to the others.

Jori padded over and looked to Sage. He sat down as instructed by the white haired linguakin, he sat a bit farther off from the luminated circle and bathed in the shadows, not too trusting of the group yet.

Damik grinned "Let's start with names first"

(Oh my! So much, so many perspective changes @__@ xD It was fun though. Anyways, now that the group is together I can work on Kasia and Jori's personalities more, since their not as talkative they'll be more of the silent ones)

(Sorry it is a bit short because I need your characters responses haha.)

Sage moved a little closer to the group then Jori and perked her ears to the conversation. “My name is Sage. This is my clan mate Jori. We have lost out clan in the mist of battle.” Sage said, introducing her and Jori together, she hoped he did not mind.

Chemi smiled at Sage and Jori, “Nice to meet you two. My name is Chemi, my tribe was killed many years ago. I have been on my own up until yesterday when I meet Damik and Kasia. Please to make your acquaintance.” Turning to Yalis, Chemi made a bowing motion to her, “Yalis, I owe you my life. In return, please allow me to travel with you. Sorry Damik, but if she accepts, I will not be returning to your tribe with you.” Chemi apologized to Damik, feeling like she was throwing a rare gift back in his face.

Sage watched as events unfold in front of her, understanding the minimal of the conversation.

(Don't worry about it, I don't expect long posts the whole way through. My post was so long because there was a lot to cover. In other news, I have a stable wi fi connection now so I can now post more frequently)

Jori nodded, accepting Sage's introduction of him

Damik nodded at the introduction of Kasia's friends, but was a bit shocked to hear Chemi's message about not coming back to his tribe. His eyes shifted into a blue color before returning to their pale state "Wow, okay. I understand Chi, but I will miss you" Now that he thought about it, maybe he didn't want to find his tribe, at least not so suddenly. It would be nice to stay with his new friends for awhile.

Yalis hugged Chi, throwing her arms around her in a double embrace before releasing her. "Chi and I are going have so much fun" The girl laughed excitedly, rocking back and forth from where she sat. Damik remembered that they didn't know this girl "Okay Jori, Sage, and Kasia, this is Yalis. I know she's a mutant but she is only a child. She rescued us after the tribe was attacked by mutants".

Kasia was a bit shocked to hear Chi did not have a tribe, she assumed she did. She shrugged, looking at the long haired girl with four arms. "I'm Kasia. My tribe and their tribe got into a fight. We lost them somewhere. They dissapeared" she whimpered sadly.

Damik nodded a bit saddened by the other groups misfortune, "Well, at least we are all together now"

Chemi felt really happy when Yalis hugged her, but her eyes reflected sadness much like Damik’s. Chemi wondered if Yalis knew much about other species then her own. When Kasia introduced herself she spoke about her tribe. Chemi moved closer to her and hug her to her chest. “It will be ok Kasia. We will find them. We will find you guy’s tribes as well.” Chemi said trying to inspire confidence.

Sage nodded and stood up, “So what kind of plan where you thinking of? Our tribes are not going to pop out of thin air.” Chemi thought about it for a moment, noting that Sage and Jori were still at unease around them. Chemi looked at Damik, feeling like they had become some kind of group leader all of a sudden.

A short hair peach Linguakin walked through a brushed pulling something behind him on a rope. Chengo yanked on a small rope that was tired around the wrists of small framed red headed Oracle. “You sure we are almost there?” He asked the Oracle. He nodded a bit with a blank and calm stare, ignoring his raw wrists, “My prophecies are never wrong. Tomorrow by this time we will meet an ebony eared Sapien, she will have with her what your heart seek most.”

Chengo yanked on the rope again, “You better be right. I don’t know what a Sapien will be doing with Mutants, but I will get my revenge all the same.”

The Oracle just gave his head a little shake, knowing that his heart does not seek revenge at all, but penitence. By this time tomorrow he will also gain a place to be called home.

Damik yawned "We should rest first, I think we can do some planning in the morning" He looked at the others to see if they agreed. Kasia nodded, laying on her side and wrapping her dark tail around her body for extra warth the fire didn't provide. Damik looked at Yalis, who he realized was out cold on Chi's lap before he had even spoke. "Well, goodnight. To those who feep the need to rest". He frowned "Of course, its not safe for all of us to do the sam so I'll take watch" Jori looked over at Sage and back at Damik "I will be on watch also. I feel we would be safer that way." Damik seemed to disagree bu made no objection "Do what you will Jori". He looked back at Chi, " so how about it?"

Chemi smiled at Damik while she pet Yails’s hair. “Go ahead. I will take second watch and sleep now.” Sage got up and licked Jori’s ear and nodded at him, “I will also take second watch. Wake me when it is time.” It was not long till night fell and then left. The first and second watch went uneventful, and the morning came quickly. Chemi and Sage talked quietly through the night and they found some common ground, easing a bit of a friendship.

Eventually Chemi shook Yalis, trying to wake her. Sage stretch and let out a long toothy yawn letting a small whine escape her lips as well. After everyone seemed to be awake Chemi smiled and spoke first, “We should really find something to eat for all of us. We should gather as much as we can a split it between everyone like we would in any tribe.” Chemi suggested.

Damik nodded "Alright, lets get some food, and then make some plans regarding our tribes", he looked around at the group. "Should we split up. Might make it easier" Damik said thoughtfully. Kasia looked at Damik and swished her tail, she spoke softly "um...I think maybe Chi and I could go hunting. Or foraging. It doesn't matter. If thats alright with you Chi" She gazed in the girls direction. Yalis looked up groggily at Chemi, but soon was fully awake. "I want to come too!" She pouted. Kasia put her hands up to calm the girl "Don't worry, you can come too". Jori sat up and yawned, gazing at the group and wondering what their plans were for the whole day. Damik nodded "Okay, so you three in one group. I guess I can go with both Sage and Jori". He looked over at the wolves, it would be interesting. He had never met faunans before, and now he'd finally get the chance to know them. Damik extinguishes the flame with his shoe. "Alright, we meet back in this spot."

(This is going to be a bit long, that’s why it took so long to get up haha… I am finally home so my posting should go back to normal. :) )

Chemi nodded at Damik and happily accepted going with Kasia, Yalis also happily followed Chemi. “Yalis, we might go hunting, so you need to be as quiet and slow as you can be.” Chemi said to the hyper child.

Sage watched quietly and then looked back at Damik to meet his gaze. It had felt like ages since her a Jori have hunted together, although she never though her a Jori particularly close when they were still with their tribe. They hunted with others of their tribe together occasionally, more frequently when the famine hit. Sage was mostly found among the sick and children; she took care of them and rarely spoke to any other Faunan that was not in that category. Regardless, Sage held Jori as a very honorable Faunan and respected him deeply.

Soon the group split up, agreeing to meet each other back up in three hours.

The first hour was fruitless as Sage took the lead, smelling the ground closely for any sign of life. Sage was about to call quits when she caught a whiff of something. “Jori, Damik, I think I got something, it smells relatively big.” She said, maybe a horse or cow, it had hooves that’s all she knew. Taking a few steps forward, Sage began to track what ever made that smell.

---

Chemi learned a bit about foraging with Kasia, at the same time she made sure to teach Yalis everything she could manage about surviving on her own. Yalis seemed to be a quick learner, she seemed very eager and happy to do new things. Chemi was happy to teach her because that was one of the things that Chemi felt good at.

They foraged for a good two hours, getting a good amount of nuts, berries and fruits. Chemi was pleased and was about to suggest to head back when suddenly a Oracle ran out of some bushes and crashed into Kasia. Chemi was so surprised she dropped everything in her hand and was about to go help until the Oracle started babbling. “I found you, Ebony Eared Sapien. I found you just like in my vision. You and everyone else that have met you are meant for greatness. We are complete now.”

Chemi’s mouth opened and closed a few times, not sure how to respond to the random babbling the Oracle was doing. She noted that the Oracle was tired up by the wrists and the wrists looked bloody and raw, as if he had been like that for months. “What—“ Chemi was about to ask something until a Linguakin ran through the bushes yelling.

“You can’t run away from me you stupid Or—YOU! You are that Sapien he was babbling about.” He started to sputter. Chemi’s eyes slowly changed to red when she realized who this new Linguakin was. The Linguakin began to move forward to grave the red haired Oracle, but Chemi was faster. She moved quickly and landed a punch square in the other Linguakin’s jaw.

The Linguakin landed a few feet away from the group, half handing out of the bushes. He struggled to get up, his eyes reflecting anger, but when he sat up holding his jaw, his eyes quickly drained to a shocked and fear filled gaze. “Chemi…” He said in shock.

“Stay put.” Chemi said, a scary anger leaked from her voice. “Kasia can you untie that Oracle?” Chemi asked. The male Linguakin looked at the group but did not say anything, his eyes filled with a vivid green. Soon his gaze landed on Yalis and he stood up suddenly, “A Mutant! Chemi!” He said pointing at the girl.

Chemi flipped around to look at him, her eyes red, “If you touch her I will not hesitate to do horrible things to you. She is under my protection.” She warned.

“How can you stand to protect the cause of our tribe and lives destruction?!” He yelled suddenly, gesturing at Yalis and the red headed Oracle.

“How can you stand to smolder our tribes name in the word of revenge? That was not what we were taught and that was not what we stood for. How long do you plan on bringing dishonor to us?” Chemi said, letting the younger Linguakin take the mental beating, “Sit down Chengo, and don’t speak another word.” She commanded. Chengo did as he was told, shame and anger covered his face.

Chemi sighed and turned once again to the Kasia and the small Oracle. “Don’t go near him Yalis.” She said in a tired voice. “Are you ok Kasia?” Chemi asked quietly.
