[Private] History doomed to repeat itself

It is years after the human race has destroyed themselves, wars between one another had led to their downfall. What's more, advancements in science and the abandonment of morality has led to a rise in human experimentation. Scientists have had the ability to develop human/animal hybrids. They range in many forms from humanoids with enhanced ability and added beastial characteristics to animal creatures with additional intelligence and communicative skills. These enhanced beings soon realized there was no need to be used in a war that wasn't their own by masters who were inferior to them.

The rebellion of the underlings, the hybrid experiments, and the self-caused fall of mankind led to a new world 500 years later. Humans have long been extinct, and the creatures reign in the new world. Technology still exists; decayed buildings, damaged machinery, and old rustic vehicles still clutter the planet. But there are few that know the use of these things. Magic is predominantly used, it is said that magic has a scientific explanantion, but today it is simply a skill learned and mastered, science no longer known. It died with oldspeak and knowledge, the languages and ideas of 500 years ago.

But threat of war still looms, even now the Overlings fight among themselves. The wars became ever deeper and frought with more rivalry. As time goes on the new beings might be able to once again decend into extinction just as they did in the best

...Unless someone can unite them and bring about peace

~

:Overlings:-Any creature after the fall of humans

Faunan- Normal looking animals but with added intelligence and communication skills, shifts into a normal human form (weaker than animal form)

Tribes: To be determined

Sapien- humanlike with added strength and abilities as well as bestial characteristics, basically sort of like nekos, but not just cats

Tribes: TBD

Linguakin- humanoid that have unusual hair and skin colors and eye colors are generic browns or dark grays

Tribes:

-Redfallow(Nomads who specialize in hunting and weapon making)

-

-

-

-

Terminated: Waterfront,

Mutants- humanoid being with extra arms, legs, eyes, etc.

Tribes: TBD

Oracles- Beings with the added ability to use magic and predict the future

Tribes: TBD

Each tribe has some sort of special characteristic or skill, well, not all different some can have the same abilities. There are 5-8 tribes for each race

I would like at least one character from each race in this story so it emphasizes making amends with all the different races.

(Your character doesn't have to be from a living tribe, but you have to specify whether or not the tribe is still active or if it died off)

The next part of the story I think that both Kasia and Damik's tribes have been attacked so they are on their own now. Then the adventure begins :)

*I wanted to change her in a way I could picture easier, she's kinda of based off a young character I have had in the past

Kasia trudges through the dense foliage littered with age old objects, metal and plastic bits that lay strewn accross the ground for ages and slowly rotting away. She breathed heavily as she pulled back some tall reeds revealing a murky brown river that made a gentle rush of water sound into her eardrums. She sighed, finally she was here, perhaps she can find some Blandberries. It was tastless fruit that grew by the river but they were always a plentiful food supply that her village could rely on in their time of need. She wagged her black tail happily as she sniffed the damp grasses by the water, blandberries lacked a definable scent as well so it would be hard to locate by scent alone. She pulled her long violet longshirt sleeves and leggings up so they wouldn't get ruined as she made her way through the muddy environment.

Damik hoisted his pack on his shoulder as he made his way towards the river. Their tribe had just traveled here, and they had scoped the surroundings, he wasn't sure what was in store for him since he head never seen the river, merely just heard of it from his elders. He jumped down off the ledge, landing flat on the level ground by the river. He walked a few miles following the shore of the river, passing and old rusted boat from before 'the fall'. He gripped the makeshift spear tighter, made from wood and the tip was of metal shards found from the objects left behind from the past. He scanned the water, looking into its depths as he tried to locate a viable food source that he can bring back. There were a few small fish that swam lazily about, but he bet he'd have better luck should he travel downstream more.

Chemi’s own tribe had fallen under the death of war years ago when the Mutants and the Oracles clashed.. That’s day was the worst of her life. She lost everything she knew and her brother wanted revenge, Chemi wanted to go start somewhere else anew. They ended up fighting and then walking their own separate ways. She regrets that decision to this day. They should have stayed together, they were all they had left.

There was no reason to dwell on that now. Now was time for food. Chemi this day happen to be relaxing down by a river bed, watching fish swim inside the river. The sun felt so amazing she almost did not want to get into the water to retrieve her food. Leaning closer to the water, Chemi dipped her fingers in the chilly stream, it made her shiver. Getting onto her knees, Chemi cupped her hands and pulled the water. She drank the water between her hands, doing so several times until she was no longer thirsty. Chemi then let out a long drawn out sigh and shook her hands dry.

Damik sighed, he'd been walking down the shore of the river for several minutes. He hadn't found any fish that were that big. He shrugged, he had to settle for hunting tiny fish he guessed. He stepped into the cool water and waded in it. He looked at the fish that darted about. Just then he decided to raise his spear, he held it up high and was about to bring its tip into the water when something splashed and caused ripples in the water. He looked beside him to see a rock slowly sinking to the bottom. His head whirled around to find the source of the disturbance and found a pair of eyes gleaming at him from the bushes.

----

Kasia had searched for blandberries to no avail. Maybe she was just looking on the wrong side of the river. Just then her ears twitched and she swiveled her head to find the source of the sound. She crouched low in the tall grasses and looked through its lush green curtain to see a boy who appeared to be hunting fish. She crept a hit closer but that was when her knee kicked at a rock that rolled out of the grass and plopped into the water He turned his head to look for her and her ears and tail grew taut, hoping he wouldn't spot her. But before she could get away safely his eyes met hers.

She took off in a run, escaping as fast as she could and her heart punded in her chest rapidly. She heard grasses rustle behind her and he called "Hey, wait up!". She ran faster, her ears pressed to her head. She didn't know if he was dangerous and she didn't want to find out. Just when she'd thought she'd lost him her foot tripped on a log and she stumbled out of the tall grass and onto the sandy shore by the river. She gasped, there was a girl sitting accross the river.

She pressed her ears to her head and whimpered, two other overlings from other tribes were here and she had no idea if either of them were a threat.

----

Damik gave chase as the girl leapt into the brush and ram away. "Hey, wait up!" he called out. Who was this girl, judging by the ears and tail she was a faunan, he wanted to convince her that he wasn't at war. She seemed absolutely frightened, if he could only catch up to her and explain everything. Just then the girl in front of him tripped and landed by the river. "Are you alrig-", he looked to see another girl accross the river. He wondered how many races lived here, the other girl he recognized to be a Linguakin just like he was. He cleared his throat "I'm sorry if I scared you" he said to both of them "I was just fishing over here, thats all. I mean no harm." His glassy eyes sparkled a soft yellow, overjoyed at having found some companions "My name's Damik" he introduced himself.

(As a reminder, vivid colors are related to negative emotions, soft colors to positive. It goes Vivid: Red=Anger,Blue=Sadness,Yellow=Fear. Purple=Sadness and Anger, Orange=Fear and anger, Green=Fear and sadness. Then Soft Colors: Red(Pink)=Love, Blue=Calm/Relaxed, Yellow=Happiness. Black is the mix of all vivid colors and is inner chaos, and silver is inner peace. Few ever reach inner peace and it is a bad sign if one's life is chaotic.)

(Thanks for the awesome reminder!)

Chemi sat up in Alarm when two different overlings appeared from between the bushes onto the sandy beach. The Faunan tripped and stumbled around. When she had gotten up, the Faunan glanced at Chemi and backed away, taking up a defensive stance. Coming out of the bush behind her was another Lingaskin, Chemi had not seen one in years.

The male Lingaskin looked up at Chemi as well, than he slowly approached the Faunan, obviously happy about catching her. Chemi’s mouth was slightly ajar watching the Lingaskin. He introduced himself as Damik. Chemi was completely unsure if she should approached the Lingaskin and Faunan.

Thinking better of approaching the Faunan, Chemi moved to cross the river closer to the Lingaskin. Chemi jogged across the river bed until there was a slightly shallow part to jump over. Chemi tried really hard to get over to the other side of the river, her eyes showing a tad bit of fear but more so excitement. Since the destruction of her own tribe and the loss of her brother, she had hopes of finding another Lingaskin tribe to be with. Although the years on the road have made Chemi enjoy the freedom without a tribe to take care off. At the same time it was a lonely way to be.

“Hello Damik. My name is Chemi, I actually have been traveling for some time. I just happen to be here at this time.” Chemi said. She almost lied about being with a tribe, she had a bad habit of lying sometimes. She tempted the idea of telling the Lingaskin that she had not seen one of their species in a long time, but decide perhaps she should keep the information to herself. Careful not to ignore the Faunan, Chemi diverted her attention from Damik and moved to offer the female Faunan her hand.

“If you would allow me to help you up, I bring no harm, I don’t even have a weapon.” Chemi pointed out, offering the piece of information as comfort.

(Two mistakes here, don't worry its not your fault its mine mostly. It's 'Linguakin' and the girl is a Sapien, not a faunan, that was really my bad to begin with)

Kasia took her hand warily and stood up on her feet, she still wasn't sure of the situation though. Judging by their unusual skin tones they must be Linguakins, the leaders of her tribe told her to watch out for overlings of any other tribe, they were dangerous and would stab you in the back. She took a few steps back, her ebony ears were still pressed flat on her head and her tail curled in. But she didn't run yet, her muscles were taught and she was ready to run should they prove dangerous "I-I'm Kasia" she said to the Linguakins warily.

Damik blinked and gave her a warm smile "Hi Kasia, my tribe just moved here, we do a lot of traveling" he looked at the linguakin girl, "I haven't seen any other Linguakins around these parts, what tribe are you?" He asked her, Linguakins weren't warring races, they didn't have much to fear from one another, but occasionally they'

be caught in a battle from the other races. He looked back at the Sapien girl who seemed to fear them, that was a bit surprising since it should be the other way around, Sapiens were enemies not just to faunans but also to anyone in their way.

"I'm from the Redfallow tribe" There were about eight tribes of each race, although now he was sure as the years went by and through the contant struggle of war there was only two. Redfallow was a longstanding tribe, their survival was based on the fact that they were wayfarers, and few tribes attacked wayfarers since the most wealth and power came from tribes that were settled for periods of time. Originally though, the Linguakin tribe originated in the red grasslands that didn't yield to much fruit and as a result were skilled at hunting.

He looked back at Kasia, "Don be afraid" he laughed "If anything the Sapien's are usually much more dangerous than linguakins" he walked closer to her. She made a face "That's not true, we fight to survive, all the other races are the dangerous ones" she growled, but she swished her tail around, a bit more relaxed than she had been before.

(I edited the thread, I put some plot detail in it)

(That’s fine, sorry :P

also I was thinking to add one extra character as well. I think I will make a Faunan so we each have four characters. I won’t make it in less you are ok with it. I would like to make it Jori’s mate or someone close to him. Possibly their tribe got whipped out or something since that what it looks like is going to happen to all of them
xD I feel bad because I have double of each character but you have one of each. xD

There is 3 linguakin, 1 sapien, 1 Faunan, 1 oracle and 1 Mutant. Maybe I should get rid of Chemi’s brother and then make a different species… So it would be something like… 2Linguakin, 1 sapien, 2 faunan, 1 oracle and 1mutain and I would make another mutant or sapien. What do you think?

Side note, Chemi’s tribe is completely whipped out. )

Chemi smiled at Damik, “I come from the Waterfront Tribe. We specialized in fishing. We mostly followed rivers while migrating.” Chemi said, motioning towards the water. She was not sure if the news of waterfront’s demise had reached any of the other tribes of Linguakin’s. In less he asked, she did not feel like sharing her tad tale.

Switching her gaze back to Kasia, Chemi decide she has lost interest in her fellow species. Kasia was unbelievably cute and Chemi was always fascinated by the ears and tail of Sapiens. “This might sound wired… but can I touch your ears?” Chemi asked, rather straight faced as well. “I can help you guys get food, I am rather good at getting fish from the river. I will say we would need to move down river some more though, the fish here are small.” Chemi pointed towards the other side of the river, “perhaps we can all talk and get to know each other! I would love to hear about the other tribes.” She smiles and started to walk down stream, forgetting about the fact she wanted to touch Kasia’s ears.

(LOL. Kagome much? The ears bit reminds me of inuyasha

Anyways, I don't mind what happens much with characters, and I approve of you making a fourth character. I don't mind the distribution of species. As long as there is one of each. So if you really want to keep the brother/sister thing go ahead. I don't plan on all their tribes being terminated, their attacked, separated, or wiped out. )

Damik nodded, he had heard about the Waterfront tribe in the past, but talk about them had been real slow as of late. "That sounds great, you coming Kas?" Kasia blinked, it was odd that he had nicknamed her, and she could feel her tail wagged a little at the sound of it. She consciously stopped it though. Wanting to appear indifferent to the linguakins. "Okay...but I need berries. Not fish. My tribe will freak out and I'll have to explain how I got the fish". She followed them, trailing behind a few inches. She didn't actually feel like sharing about her tribe yet, she wasn't totally comfortable with these strangers, but she did like them.

Damik turned his gaze to Chemi "Oh thanks, like I said I'm new so I don't know where the bigger fish are". He walked past by the shore with the two companions. "So Chi, I don't see any weapon on you, how does your tribe hunt?" Kasia blinked, this Linguakin was really friendly, why was he so keen on nicknaming people he'd just met?

(Whoa I did not even notice that O.o . too funny xD

is creating a character to play with Jori ok, if not I am just going to make a different Overling? I think I will keep Chemi’s brother. Because I-Ilove him
xD . I can see him and Kasia getting along rather well. xD )

Chemi smiled, “If we are on a nick naming spree, I will call you Dai then, because Dam does not sound cute at all. I laugh though because Chi is what my family called me.” Chemi smiled at Kasia when she asked for berries, “I am sure we can help you find some. I have been hanging around here or a bit.” They walked a little longer till the river opened up into a small pool, some bigger fish hanging around on the bottom.

“That is a good question Dai,” Chemi said lifting her finger up in a listen motion. Her eyes changed into a light pink color, she really loved the art of catching fish. Although there was a bit of blue that worked its way into the color, “There are several methods to going about this. We could use your spear, but sometimes that can be slow if you are hunting for a full tribe. You can also use nets, they are hard to make and valuable resource. We can use tanned hides, which are much easier to make! Basically two people hold each side of the hide and corner the fish and scoop it up!” Chemi made motions with her hands to Damik and Kasia as she explained how to go about catching fish.

“But today, we can catch with our hands, because I have neither a net, hid or weapon. In less you want to lend me your own weapon Dai.” Chemi said with a smile. “I don’t really want to do that though because this part of the river is a little still compared to how it is upstream, the blood of the fish could linger… also is you want Kas, you can run around the trees around this area, you might get lucky with a few fruit or barriers.”

(You got the pronunciation right, Dam-ik, doesn't quite sound as good as day-mik. Creating another character for Jori is fine.

After Chemi, Damik, and Kasia meet up. Damik and Kasia return to their tribes, or whats left of it. So they end up on their own. Do you plan for your character to be related to Jori, 'cause I have a plan already for when I want him to come into play so I'll have to tell you when that is.)

Damik grinned at the new nickname the Linguakin girl had given him. He was an avid user of nicknames and he called a lot of people in his tribe by their nicknames so much it carried on and now nearly everyone uses the alternative name and not their birth name. "Lucky guess, I think Chi suits you" he smiled at the peach haired Linguakin. He followed her to the nearly still stream and watched carefully as she attempted to fish, showing him the art of what she did. Her eyes flashed from soft red to lavender as she did so. It was fascinating watching her do this, and he sat by the shore cross-legged as the water lapped at his boots. He watched patiently for Chi to catch the fish. "Well that's great Chi, but, isn't it hard to catch with your hands?" Damik had tried before for only a few attempts before giving up. Fish were slippery, it wasn't an easy task.

Kasia watched the linguakins with the fishing, her tribe were what you call 'Omega Class'. A lot of the other Sapien tribes fought possesively over meat food sources since it was often a preference of their kind, although they still had the ability to consume fruit. She wondered if she could come up with an explanation for the suddenly new food source. Fish wasn't what any Sapien caught, it was a trait of the other meat-eating tribes. If she could pretend that she had learned it herself maybe she could get away with it, and her tribe would praise her ingenuity and be ever so grateful for the new food source.

She decided it was a futile effort, so her thoughts were broken when Chemi said "… also is you want Kas, you can run around the trees around this area, you might get lucky with a few fruit or berries". Kasia nodded as she traversed into the bushes, pushing grasses and leaves away as she looked for a few bushes. She found what she was looking for, a few purplish-orbs clung together in clusters. She plucked them all off and loaded them into her satchel. Tasting one, she found that these were not blandberries but tartberries. She smiled and her tail fluttered at the taste of it. It was strange taste and it made her wince a little, but her tribe would love the change of the menu.

Satisfied, she filed out of the tangled growth and saw the two were busy fishing. "Didn't catch anything yet? she asked as she sat beside Damik.

"Not yet, Kasia. Chi is going to show us how she fishes with her hands" he laughed, the idea was so unusual he just had to see how that worked. He placed his spear on the ground next to him and stood up. Looking into the water as the fish dashed about. These fish were comparably larger than the fish downstream, he knew he should have went down further. Good thing he ran into these girls when he did.

Chemi laughed a little and then took off her pants. Taking a few small leaves from the bush next to her and then crept into the water slowly. She tried to move slowly across the water until she sat down cross legged, the water pooling around her waist. After a few minutes Chemi took one of the leaves and tossed them a fair bit from her. When the leaf landed on the water and made a little ripple across the water, the fish gathered around it. “They think its bugs landing on the surface to eat.” Chemi said quietly.

Obviously leading the fish towards her, Chemi smiled as a couple fish swam closer. Choosing the bigger of the two, Chemi scooped the fish up from the water and held on to it. Sliding her hands into the fishes’ gills Chemi stood up in triumph and flashes the fish. “Ha ha! There you have it; fishing is a game of patience.” Jumping back on shore, Chemi handed the dying fish to Damik. “You need to wait a few minutes before we can try again. Wait for the fish to forget the disturbance in the water. You can run around the lake trying to catch them too, but the patient way tends to yield the better results. I have been camping around here for a little… so you guys can come down here tomorrow with skins and we can catch more than just one at a time!” Chemi said pressing her hands together and smiled.

“Well I mean… if you can come.” Chemi was happy to have met other people. She would admit the years of traveling alone were rather boring and well lonely. Her eyes reflected her lonely feelings a bit. She thought about asking Damik about going to his tribe. The last time Chemi remembered, linguakins were not cautious of their own race. But times have changed and Chemi thought better of it. “I can catch a few more fish before you guys go.”

Damik was shocked to see she had so easily captured the fish after a few minutes, grasping the squirming creature in his gills. "That was incredible" his eyes flashed a soft yellow. As he stepped into the water and grabbed it from her. Kasia stood up just as she had captured the creature and yipped, wagging her tail excitedly. Damik tossed her the creature and she captured the thing in her claws, slicing it and killing it. He looked back at Chemi, I have been camping around here for a little… so you guys can come down here tomorrow with skins and we can catch more than just one at a time! Well I mean… if you can come.” her eyes grew into a somber shade and he cocked his head, laying a hand on her shoulder "I'm sure we can make it, it's not a problem" his eyes reassured her as they kept they're soft yellow hue. He stepped into the water and waited as he looked repeated what he'd saw Chi do.

Kasia laid the fish on the shore as she carefully stepped into the cool water. Getting a closer look at what Damik was trying to do. Damik tossed a leaf close to him and he sat in the water like he saw Chemi do. He kept his gaze on the fish who swarmed to inspect the leaf. He trained his eye on one fish in particular, a larger one. Like a viper his hands whipped out to grab the creature, with a splash his body flew forward but the fish darted away, he splashed forward a bit chasing the creature, finally his hands shot in front of him and grabbed under its gills. His face submerged in the water when he captured it. He got back up on his knees, water dripping from his hair and the fish struggled under his hold, he sputtered water as he spoke "I think I'll stick to spearing them" He was still very proud of what he had done, with just his hands he had caught a fish, it was more clumsy than what Chemi had did but he did it.

Kasia laughed hysterically "That was the worst hunt I ever saw, it was like a baby deer trying to walk for the first time" She continued to laugh. Damik shot her a playful glance and said "Oh yeah Miss vegetarian, let's see you try it!" he taunted as he got up and brought the fish over to her, and she sliced it dead dropping it beside the shore. She crossed her arms, "Maybe I will". Damik look at Chemi "Like I said, I'll stick to the spear, but the leaf trick is promising".

Kasia hopped into the water and waited, she sat in its center and she dropped a leaf, she hungrily watched the fish and then something stirred in her, she bared her fangs as she watched the scaled swimmers. Then instinct told her to swipe. Her claws swiped and two fish were sandwiched under her claws and speared through. She lifted her prize up to show them and her drenched tail whipped water everywhere. Damik through up his hands to shield himself to no avail "Hey, hey, alright you win you showoff!" He laughed as she tossed the two more fish onto the shore. She made her way out of the water and shook her fur, droplets flying from her tail and hair. Her eyes sparkled "I did it! I actually hunted! I actually killed something to eat!" she had never hunted and it felt good, unleashing some feral trait in her.

Damik smiled at her "No kidding, you beat my record for hand fishing" he laughed. He looked at Chemi "Two fish for you, two fish for me. Let's keep going shall we. We do have tribes to feed" he stopped for a moment "Well, if it's not a problem, would you like to visit my tribe?" he asked as he looked over to her.

She watched the two fish, she was specially impressed at Kasia. If she had claws she bet she could catch fish like that. Kasia availed her curiosity, she wanted to know more about her and how her tribe was. Call it the need to learn, she was always keen on absorbing any new information she could. With the war going on, it was sometimes hard to find new things about other spices then your own.

When Damik asked if she wanted to come see his tribe, Chemi’s eyes lit up at the thought. She wanted to spend some time with her own spices as well. “Yes! I would love too!” She said, Chemi felt like she was going to jump out of her skin with excitement. It has been years since she had spent time with a tribe, and she was excited to be able meet the people. Maybe she could sneak spending the night with them. Maybe even stay a few days, with the exception to come see Kasia.

Handing Kasia one of the fish she smiled at her, “Don’t be a stranger… come back and see us. Later ok? You can count of me if you need help again!” Chemi said happily, touching Kasia's ears gently before she turned to walk with Damik.

(Ok I posted my last character, she can be friend/mate/hated/not very well known/sibling with Jori, You can choose what ever you want, I will just have her in the same tribe as Jori. Sound good? :) )

(Good! She can be a friend, mate, or sister to Jori, but it's up to you, she's your character. They start out as enemies, but in the end when the fight is over)

"Good! I'm glad your excited to join Chi" Damik said with a smile and for the thousandth time today his eyes flared a light yellow hue. It had been awhile since he'd seen another linguakin. His tribe was wary of even their own species, but he knew they would accept Chemi since he trusted her. “Don’t be a stranger… come back and see us. Later ok? You can count of me if you need help again!” Kasia flicked her ears a bit as the Linguakin girl gently touched her ears and took off with Damik to the village.

She wagged her tail, waving goodbye and not saying much as they departed. She took off in the direction of the Zephyrwinds tribe. She hopped through the brush and leaves. It took her a few minutes to make it there as usual. But she stopped and flicked her ebony ears, something wasn't right, shouts and clashing metal resounded from the glade. She jumped through the last of the brush to see growling beasts attacking her tribe who wielded blades and she found everyone in mass hysteria trying to defend their territory. Many different faunans; wolverines, lions, bears, wolves, bared claws and fangs and attacked equally mercilessly.

She gasped and attempted to run into the fray, only stopping when she realized she had no weapon but her teeth and claws, which although they were more superior to those of oracles and linguakins, were no match for mutants, or these faunans. She ran back into the forest, trying to find something she could use, but before she got anywhere, a white wolf surged in front of her.

He shook his fur and bared his fangs at her "Don't run!" Is all he said as he tried to back her into the tree. Jori growled, he was starving, and his tribe had heard from the dissenting Faunan tribes that the Sapien's had an excellent meat food source. As soon as they heard the news, they were starving, it was time to act so the elders of the tribe decided to raid their land.

He glared at the Sapien in the eyes, his golden yellow eyes bore into her. Kasia looked at him and said "...Go away. I'll...I'll get one of my tribe to kill you" she said as she tried to back away from him, she needed to find a weapon, but how? Despite how much more naturally armed her opponent was than her, she would have to fight bare handed. She sighed as she bared her clawed nails and fangs at the potential attacker.

Jori flicked his tail, amused at the unarmed Sapien's attempt to dissuade him. But he bared his fangs "Nice try" He cast his gaze into the forest and barked "Sage, help me out here"

(I am good with any of those. They can be mate’s or friend’s. Whichever will fit with Jori’s story or future plans. If they are friends that’s ok, if they are mates I can make this so sweet. Or soon to be mates too xD . Sage is a true sweetheart .

I feel so bad that my posts have all be so short
xD I think they will get MUCH better when we get all the characters in. I also have a plan for Chemi's brother and Phoenix to enter some time a little later.)

Sage was not excited for the coming raid. Although she was not fond of
Sapien, she had no desire to get her tribe killed to get food. They were all on the brink of starvation and in no condition to fight. Even she was weaker than usual. But like the others of her tribe, starvation was not an option and they were willing to die to get some food. When the launched the attack on the tribe they had the advantage, springing the surprise on their unsuspecting pray.

Sage felt herself tense and every primal instinct she had bubble up and turn her into a killing machine. When she saw her tribe mate Jori jump after a
Sapien that tried to escape, Sage knew she should go help him. She jumped through the bushes just as she heard her name and bared her teeth at the Sapien. Hackles standing on her back and her eyes flashing with hunger, Sage circled the Sapiengirl till she found herself standing almost behind her. “You are not going to go anywhere child.” Sage managed to growl between her bared teeth.

(Lolol got the races mixed up, totally just fixed that though sorry XP)

(I like the soon-to-be mates, I kinda like those fantasy-adventure story but with a twist of romance, sounds like fun :P

And don't worry, quality over quantity. I don't always post long either, quite frankly I think the reason for some of my longer posts is the detail I'm trying to put into it.

Probably going to go through a short battle scene before the faunans realize it is a stupid battle since these sapiens are FORAGERS, and they had been lied to)

Kasia looked to the two faunans, there wasn't a clear way out of this but to fight against them and hope to live. Jori saw Kasia waver a bit and lunged, Kasia darted to the side and scratched the wolf. Jori yelped a bit but got back and his feet and took a bite at Kasia's ankle, Kasia cried out and Jori dragged her leg so that she fell on her but to the ground. Kasia wrapped her arms over the white wolf's neck and held him in a chokehold, her fangs sank deeply into his ear.

Jori yelped, releasing her and shook his head, blood flying from the wound, Kasia made an attempt to attack the silver wolf, lunging as she threw her weight forward, claws bared at her.

(Sounds good to me!

I think its longer because you have more then one character.
xD )

Everything happened in a flash as she watched the Sapien lunge at Jori. Sage scrambled to help defend her friend. Jori shook her off after she bit his ear, she drew quite a bit of blood. She watched the Sapien gather herself for another lunge at Jori, that’s when Sage lunched herself, landing on the back of the female sapien. She dug her claws in the fabric of the spaien’s shirt, trying to break skin. Sage begain to lean forward to snap at the Spaien’s neck.

Kasia cried out as the wolf scrabbled at her back tearing through her shirt and marking her flesh. She wrapped her hands around the wolf's forelegs and she bent over to keep her neck from being pierced and with a swift motion her arms flung the silver wolf into a tree. Jori growled and pounced on her pinning her to the ground. She looked up into the piercing yellow eyes of the growling wolf, hackles and tail raised in anger. She struggled against the him but the strength and packed muscle of his body held her down. Kasia's ears pressed against her head so, this was the end, she squeezed her eyes tight.

Jori cast his gaze over to his companion. "Are you okay Sage?" his deep guttural voice called out. He swished his tail, trying to prolong the capture of the Sapien.

Sage tired her best to maim the Sapien so this fight would end quickly but it was quicker than her. The Sapien graved her paws and flung her off her back, straight into a tree. Sage tried to angle herself to cushion her blow against the large oak, but to no avail. She crashed into the tree ribs first, letting a loud yelp escape her mouth. She felt the breath get knocked out of her when she bounced off the tree.

Rolling over Sage forced herself to get up, she panted to try and catch her breath back. She saw Jori had taken the Sapien down and pined her, “I-I’m fine, just got the wind knocked out of me.” She said honestly. She’ll ask him later how his ear is, but now was not the time to lick wounds. “Jori… These Sapien have nothing… they are in just as sad of shape as we are.” She whispered as she stiffly walked over to a fish lying on the ground that the Sapien was holding. She guessed she should take this with them.

Jori whirled his head over to the fish that laid on the ground, he got off of Kasia and went over to sniff it. “Is this the only meat?” he asked. Kasia sat up, crossing her arms and raising her tail in defiance “No duh, we’re foragers! I got the fish by chance”, she swung the flap of her satchel open and berries spilled out of it and onto the ground. “You don’t think we’d be hunting for something better if we could?” she growled. Jori’s ears straightened, and he looked at Sage “Then that means…” the higher tribes must have tricked them into fighting another Omega Class tribe, meaning they’d been set up, and they were in trouble.

Jori ran “C’mon” he called to his pack mate. Kasia followed behind the wolves and stopped, seeing in front of her, they stood frozen. She looked, and saw why. What was left of her tribe was some stripped tents and supplies and items strewn about the glen. But the most crucial part was that it was vacant of her kin, as well as the kin of the faunans. She ran over and stood beside the Lupines “Where are they?” she walked to a discarded clay bowl and kicked it absentmindedly.

Jori shifted into human form, fully clothed in a dark trenchcoat that hung open and black leggings. He gazed across the once battle-raging landscape. “They must have scattered, who ran from who I’m not sure. I don’t even know why everyone is gone” No one was in sight, not even someone from their tribe.

Kasia sighed, looking over at the overlings who had just been her enemies moments ago “So, what now?”

Sage followed Jori back into the battle field. She was expecting for others to be there still fighting, but when they got there, there was no one. Jori suggested that they ran from each other, regardless they were left behind. Stepping ahead of Jori, Sage scented the area in search for their own clans scent. All she could smell was blood, blood and fear of both clans. Sage continued to hover around the Sapien camp desperately trying to catch a familiar scent.

When Sage found no sign of either group leavening as anything other than as an individual or a pair, she transformed and picked up a small cloth laying on the ground. She dusted her simple shorts and shirt and gently brushed back her hair. Approaching Jori, Sage pressed the cloth on his bleeding ear. Most of the bleeding had stopped but she cleaned the little bit of blood off, as she did so she spoke to him quietly, avoid talking to the Sapien who may still be their enemy.

“I could not pick up any scents, from either clan. It’s like they all scattered and did not stay together… it’s so strange. I-I don’t know what to tell you.” Sage said quietly, pulling her hands away from his now clean ear. She glanced at the Sapien and watched her carefully. They could over power her easy, but if she got a hold of a weapon she might try and take them by surprise.

Chemi skipped a little as they walked towards Damik’s tribe. “Dai, did your tribe just migrate here? Or have they always been here?” Chemi asked, holding her own fish with a smile. Her eyes were flashy a soft yellow.

Kasia swished her tail a little as she watched the two faunans, the shewolf, Sage, brought a cloth to Jori's ear to wipe the blood. She pressed her ears flat to her head, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean any horrible damage. I hope it isn't too bad" Jori winced as Sage pressed the cloth to his ear but shrugged "It's not too bad" he gave a small half-smile. Perhaps this girl wasn't so bad. "I'm Jori, this is Sage". Kasia nodded to the two of them. "I'm Kasia" she said, she sighed, there wasn't anyone else around here, should she travel alone or..."I know where we can get food. More fish, I know it's not the best but its something." She shrugged, her ears flicking to the direction of the river. Jori nodded, "Alright, show me". Jori turned to Sage and spoke so only she heard "For now, we're going to get some food, we'll be on alert since we don't know if we trust her." he looked into her eyes "It's not like we have a choice right now though. We'll have to figure out some way to find our tribe later." He turned to Kasia and she waved a hand, going back towards the river.

Damik shouldered the weight of the trout and nodded "We're nomads, we haven't been here very long. Moving is a neat trick, you know. We're safe as it is because we don't have any feuds with the other tribes. But that doesn't mean they don't have any feuds with us." Damik came to a rocky ledge, a few boulders packed together, "It's a bit of a climb from here" he took a first step on it and held out his hand to help her up, atop the hill was where his tribe was.

The wind blew through some of the leaves and he felt his hair billow with the gentle gusts. He stood there for a moment, enjoying the feel of it and closed his eyes, when he opened them they were tinged a light blue color "It's nice here though, I don't even want to leave." He climbed the rocky steps until he reached the grassy earth atop it, looking down at the tangles of brush below that just barely shrouded the rushing of the murky river.

Sage nodded, dropping the small cloth and then picking up a larger cloth a little ways away. Turning around she watched Jori walk ahead of her following the Sapien Kasia. When she had apologized for biting Jori, Sage felt absolutely horrible hurting her. Sage was not much for fighting, but when her clan was in danger she would defend it fiercely. No one ever doubted Sage’s loyalty to her own kind.

Sage planed on asking the Sapien if she could help clean the wounds she had given her a little earlier to maybe ease some tension. She knew that she should open up to the Sapien a bit and maybe improve the situation for her a Jori. She was acting rather wired though, if Sage was cornered and attacked by Kasia and one of her clan mates, close to the verge of death and then later find everyone was gone, the last place she would want to do was show the two who tried to kill her where there was food. Sage felt herself on extreme edge and walked a good 10 feet away from Jori so that the Sapien could not attack them together and there was plenty of room for them to maneuver.

“We are sorry for this attack… We were actually tricked into this attack. We were told that your tribe had tons of meat… that you clan was pretty much set for several winters. We are actually starving… our whole clan was starving, even the pups. We had to do something… But we were lied too, by those no. Good. More. Powerful. Tribe.” Sage balled her fists around the cloth she held and gritting her teeth. After a moment she finally took a breath and relaxed. Sage had a feeling Jori might not appreciate telling her about their clan weakness, but she felt like she needed to take this small chance to fix things. After all they were the ones that attacked her clan.

When they made it to the river that held a small pond, Sage peered into the water to see large fish floating around. Looking back at Kasia, Sage approached her and smiled a bit, “I am also sorry about the wounds we inflicted on you. I won’t like though, I was trying to kill you. Allow me to attend to your back and ankle Kasia?”

---------------

Chemi listened politely as he explained his tribe and took his hand when he offered it to her. The wind blew through her hair as they made it up the hill. She appreciated a good breeze. She though sometimes it made he feel rather magical. She use to hate the breeze. Most of the time she was wet from fishing, but she had come to appreciate it when she was walking on hot days. There were a lot of things she came to know and like after the destruction of her tribe.

She had a feeling that the moment she meet on of their elders that they would know the Waterfront tribe was destroyed a few years ago. Perhaps she would get lucky and they would take her in. The thought made Chemi smile, “I can’t wait to meet your tribe. You have no idea how happy I am to see them!” Chemi said, stepping into the river a bit, wetting her feet.
