Skate fast, eat ass.
Xavier stared up at Cornelius, as the dragon stared back down at him. There was a strange sense of tension building up around them, especially when Cornelius often shift his gaze at Eosforos. Xavier can tell the dragon was upset, angry, furious, and so many other negativity. They already explained to him about what caused Athena to go on a rampage, the demons being the main cause of it and the fact it was reasonable to put her out since she would not stop. One thing that Cornelius won't let it drop was about where her body went.
"We keep telling you, a robot came by and got rid of it into dust. Xavier saw it himself and there was nothing left by then," Eosforos explained to the dragon, sounding bored that he had to repeat himself. "Ask the red beast if you don't believe me."
Cornelius slightly shift his head to see Aragorn yet the dragon was rather tucked away from socializing. Only Komodo was next to Aragorn, feeling sad as well. The black dragon harshly growled and leered over at the angel. "Why do I have a nasty feeling about you, angel?" Cornelius grunted, his eye narrowed to focus on him only.
"I don't know. I would relax if I were you though. You're looking pretty aggressive," Eosforos sneered as he took a step back. Cornelius took a moment to look around as the nearby humans were giving nervous look at the black dragon for being angry. Cornelius started to back off eventually, laying back down as Eosforos had a satisfying smirk on his face. "I am sorry for your loss, Cornelius, truly am," Eosforos said after the black dragon settled down. For that moment, Cornelius felt like Eosforos' tone of voice was familiar, especially the way he said his name. Yet no matter how much he thinks about it, it felt too painful to think about the past. "I'm sure Xavier is sorry as well."
"Xavier? Sorry?" Cornelius repeated sharply, snapping his gaze back to the soldier next to him. "Look at him. You made him still like an obedient dog!" Cornelius almost roared that out, causing the townspeople to panic in alarm. Even the nearby soldiers were looking concerned about what was going on, whispering to each other on what they can do.
Eosforos only took a step back with a sigh as Xavier glared up at Cornelius, his hands closing to a fist. Cornelius glared right back, unsure what he wants to do. He lost another close friend and everything felt like it was splitting about. This boy, this innocent boy that the dragons raised him, who suddenly became 'corrupted' and split them apart from the moment he got them involved with the war. He truly wants to throw the blame on him yet at the same time he doesn't.
"...you're not Xavier," Cornelius grumbled out, biting back his growl. "Not the Xavier we raised. Not the one that Octavia found in the forest. Not the one who called Aragorn his big brother..." The red dragon seems to slightly perk up at his name but made no other movement, except Komodo took careful steps to be next to Cornelius. "Not the one who described what the stars look like to Ivy. Not the one who laughs with a full heart at Fujin's jokes. ...Not the one who called Athena beautiful." There was a small painful emotion building up in Xavier but he kept still with his cold gaze. "Not the one who called Komodo his best friend...and not the one who put up with my tough love."
Xavier only lets out a deep sigh, ignoring this guilt inside of him. His fists got tight and he took his last looking at Cornelius. "I think we're done here. We gave you answers, you got what you wanted. Have a good day." Xavier turns around to leave them, Eosforos smiling in amusement on how Cornelius tried to break through Xavier's cold heart. For a second, he thought it worked but Xavier was loyal as ever.
Cornelius sighed and he turns to see the angel who was about to leave. "I will eventually know who you are, angel. It won't be pretty the time I find out," Cornelius growled as Eosforos simply smirked at the dragon.
"Time may not be on your side, but best of luck, Cornelius," Eosforos said, his voice light as he was teasing him and waved his hand as he walked away.
The dragons were left alone to think for themselves, Cornelius vowing to himself to keep an eye on the angel. "Eosforos...Eosforos......" Cornelius mumbled to himself, thinking hard about where he heard that name from.
