Fantasy Power of the Indebted

Before she could ask why he kept his guns unloaded, it was over. She slowed the two men down, and he shot them dead, right before he raided their wallets. The two kidnappers came back, though, and they had a little chat: something about bringing Damien to some underground cellar. He willingly agreed though, so that was fine by her. The boy, Ren the girl called him, was indebted too it seemed, whose power was over flames and whose price was undisclosed. She didn't seem to like it though, so she had a few guesses.

Then the clumsy idiot came back. He thought it was okay to run into the secluded area where gunfire occurred, then ask the murderer why he just killed two people. Now, he was at gunpoint and he still did not get the message. She giggled a bit, just like when the other girl looked at her a minute ago, and spoke with her signature sing-song voice. "A giant blanket, blue, red, white or black, with jewels that both dispensary and come back, or a giant lamp, or a small faint mirror, all of them far yet look so much nearer. What is it?" She armed her

Ian sat back down at this desk, having changed his shirt and looking to delay restarting his patrol he'd finally gone over the papers sprawled across his desk. Apparently it was just a caution warning, the Pures had been getting crafty, they'd started sending out smaller groups of what could be described as fodder after the Indebted first, finding out what their power and price was and then neutralizing them once they'd gathered that information. Dammit. That sounded just like the situation that kid was in earlier. Getting up he set off immediately to where he'd seen him last, this was definitely not a good situation for him to be walking around in public in.

Damien glances over at the girl, "What are you going on about?" He did not know what she was babbling about.

"I just want to see if clumsy man can answer a simple riddle." She said with a disarming smile. It was to test the strength of the clumsy man's mind.

"Wait for his answer first. I'm not telling~" She giggled again. She made that riddle herself so it was doubtful that anyone knew the answer, so internet, the god of information was stumped. If he could not answer the riddle, his intelligence would be labeled as 'weak' making him all to easy to dispose of. Apparently Damien also had two 'weaknesses' so her interesting new friend would be hard pressed to do anything about it.

Alex thought for a while and most of the ideas which he had were certainly useless.

"I dont know." He said "What is it?"

"Well if you don't know, then I suggest you leave, before I make you." She said with a charming and pleasant smile, yet her tone was exactly opposite. "It's the sky by the way, now off you go."

Alecc stayed quiet, looking down at his phone he pulled out, minding his own business for a while before listening for the riddle. He shrugged, not knowing and not caring to know, but once she got rich with him, he didn't like that. "Um. He doesn't have to go anywhere with that type of attitude, blondie." Alecc stepped in, not liking how she disrespected him. "Check yourself, before I check you." He jabbed her hard in the chest twice, not caring if she was a female. People who were rude for no reason made Alecc get irritated.

"That wasn't very nice, but then again, you're not a very nice person are you?" She asked with slight irritation. As silly as she might be at times, others could just be idiots. He was angry because she apparently disrespected a guy, who was 1, idiotic enough to walk into a gun fight and try to interrogate the murderer, 2 was human and therefore had no reason to get himself involved and even better reason to simply walk away from it all and 3 was really clumsy. Well, he was 'weak' it seemed, so she could put him in his place. But she would not control him just yet.

She had something more fun in mind.

"Well if you want to play like that, you should have just said so." With but a thought his hat, his phone, his parka and glasses were up in the air, much too high for anyone to reach unless they were twice the height of Damien. They were inferior when compared her after all, and as such could be controlled by her in some manner. Depending on his reaction, she would return his belongings, but she didn't think he was one humble enough to apologize.

To seal the deal, she used the air to strike him with as much force as she could muster, which was just her strongest punch. That in itself was not much, if the place of impact was not to be considered. It landed in fork between his legs.

Alecc blinked as his top appatel was levitated and sighed. "Typical." He muttered, a bolt of electricty coming from his hand to only retrieve his phone. He couldn't get the hat and glasses (he wasn't that well versed with retrieving non eletrical items just yet, it took tons of energy), but he could pull out his polearm and with a nice hop could get them.

Alecc was highly caught off guard ad she suddenly punched him in the crotch. A metal clang rang out as she punched his leg guards cod piece. "Wow." He said, turning away from her and summining his polearm. "Are you that weak with fighting that you go for cheap shots?? Leg guards. But I made sure to add a cod piece for people who cant go hand to hand." Alecc tried swiping to get his hat, missing by a good few inches. He frowned, scratching his head. "Hmm..." He reached out his hand, decideding to slice a chunk of his energy to pull them down a bit and swiped at them with his polearm hard. Grabbing them tightly when they bobbed down low enough, he held them tightly and retracted the pole arm. What a pain to get, took longer than normal since he was trying to save his energy for something more useful.

"You're the one who started this, pervert." She retorted as she guarded her chest for effect. "Oh, and please do look up once more, I knew you were weak, but the fact that your mental faculties are this easy to shift is really more of a point against you." Up there were his items, except his phone, still hanging up just out of reach. She expected the pole arm, the crotch shot was just to get his attention, and the illusions, well those were to annoy the heck out of him.

The fact that he needed glasses and she did not was something she could use too, so the creation of unorthodox optical illusions was possible. Even if he didn't really need the glasses, the weak brain would still process the faulty images as such so she did not really need to worry. The fact that she had to make him 'feel' the items when he thought he got them was somewhat taxing, yet she had more than enough energy for the next few weeks. She also enjoyed watching him hop around, swiping at nothing as the items he wanted to reach were just, no not just, several meters away from the tip of his pole arm. even the energy wave was way off course, she would have laughed if she didn't have an illusion to maintain.

On that note, he must hide it somewhere, and that would explain his attitude. She could only smile as she waited for his reaction.

"Pervert? Ha. You thought I was poking that non existent chest of yours? I was jabbing right here." Alecc muttered, jabbing her hard were he did last. That was right above her breasts, right below her collar bone. Alecc shool his head, unaware. He blinked at his items...

They felt off, no? Alecc looked at her and sighed. These must be illusions. "Give me at least my hat, or I'll kill you and get them myself. I don't take too kindly with people touching my hat with their ignorance they take as intelligence." He mumbled, retracting his polearm and pressing it against her throat. Alecc was getting even more annoyed. "Two jabs to the chest as you think its cute to touch my hat. If you took that as witty and cool, then you're in for a rude awakening, blondie."

'....! A-Alecc...' /Quiet. I'll ask for you when I need you./

"You, kill me?" She said with a smile, much less sweet and more of mocking. "You plan to kill me? For a hat?" She squeezed the blade of the pole arm by the edge, rather forcefully but still the inferior weapon could not cut her. She almost laughed, but retrained herself for once, this was going to be good. "I really don't know what's worse, you plan to try, or the fact that you want to do it, for a hat. Or the fact that you're poking and talking to air." She was standing a few feet away from him now, watching as he did nothing but act all tough and superior.

She wanted to laugh, but doing that would ruin the fun. He deserved to get hurt, either physically or emotionally for that chest comment. She knew she wasn't the biggest, but... C isn't that small, thank you very much. She thought angrily. Then she smiled.

"I really didn't touch your hat. I didn't cut it either." She said with a smile as the hat and pole arm blade were changed. The former was made lighter and less durable while the latter was made thinner, and in effect, sharper. He could not see the head gear run itself across the edge of the weapon he was threatening 'her' with. He did not see it get cut in half. Not the first time. Not the second time... Not the tenth time. "It did that by itself."

She did reveal the pieces to him after, all of them still hovering in the air like they once did. "Witty and cool, no, that was not it. I would use fun. As for a rude awakening, you're the one here who's asleep."

(thanks RpN, I MISSED A FREAKIN TON OF STUFF *sigh*)

Damien activates his sleeve gun and aims it at the person, he listens to the lady quietly.

Kosei had been sticking to skulking in the many alleyways Skylight had to offer for a few weeks now. He was wanted, after all, a criminal and an Indebted wanted for GOD knows how many murders. Nineteen and his body count was practically the stuff of legends, the sort of figure that kept people scared enough to throw money at people like the Pure. He didn't mind the attention. It culled his boredom more often than not and only seemed to throw more fuel on the fire.

He stopped halfway down a particularly dank old alley, hands in his pockets as he heard something behind him. The familiar click of guns being prepped, safeties off and cross hairs trained firmly on his back. With a sigh Kosei raised his hands above his head, looking as if he was annoyed with a police officer pulling him over rather than being held at gunpoint.

Another two armed figures emerged in front of him, cutting off his exit and giving him a good idea of what he was dealing with. The men were dressed like borderline SWAT, equip with sleek black assault rifles and pistols hanging on their belts just in case. They looked almost like heavy duty police forces if it wasn't for the logo on their chests: the little framed circle that the Pure used as their logo. Kosei had to admit, he didn't think things had gone this far this quick.

One of the men in front of him took one hand off his gun, still keeping it level with the grip he had on it as he fiddled with a communicator on his collar. "Sir, we have confirmation on the target. Coordinates are 65 Delta, need a transport here ASAP to get him to containment." He let go of the button on his comm an stepped forward, sticking the gun in Kosei's face. "You're coming with u--"

The grunt hesitated as he looked at the expression on the young man's face. He was smiling, a big fat grin slapped on his face as if he didn't have a care in the world. A few moments of silence passed and he also realized that there was a vague sound coming from him as if he was starting to vocalize something but kept stopping. Then he let it out. Laughter. Not just a chuckle but full on howling laughter, the kind of thing you'd see from people going to a good stand up act. The grunt wasn't please.

"You little shi--" The already stressed soldier lost his professional appearance as he raised his gun to gun butt the young man. Still laughing, Kosei caught the strike with his hands, grinning like a mad man as a sudden stream of sparks shot from his body, black as night and unearthly to look at, launching from his body and striking with apparent randomness at anything in the alley. The men all pulled the triggers of their guns as the Indebted showed signs of fighting back but all that came out was a unanimous 'click'. They didn't seem to have realized that that's exactly what had been affected.

The sound of all three guns failing was the greatest punchline of all to Kosei, his laughter roaring even louder as he kept a firm hold on the man's gun, not trying to rip it from him just yet.
"Incredible. Really incredible. I mean, they -really- must have hated you back at HQ or wherever the hell you came from because, man, you guys messed up." One of the shoulders began desperately tapping the trigger of his gun as if it'd suddenly magically unjam as Kosei ripped the assault rifle from the still stunned grunt's hands and in a half a moment he had it turned on it's owner and pulled the trigger. Unlike the other three, this one was still working just fine. The first man fell down, dead as a door nail, his already panicking partner next to him joining him a moment after. Kosei didn't let go of the trigger this time until he heard the click of an empty chamber.

The other two began to retreat back towards the entrance that they'd cut off from him, one of them backpedaling and drawing his pistol on the young man, pulling the trigger with the same result as his other firearm. Click click. The still laughing Kosei dropped the empty assault rifle and turned, his eyes set on the escaping men with a wicked grin on his face.
"You guys made the three biggest mistakes you could, ya know," he called after them just before a bolt of black shot from his body.

The chaotic energy struck an old fire escape on the building to their right and in only a moment the whole mess of metal came crashing down. The coward who'd taken off in a sprint... well, he'd be needing dental records from the looks of it. The other guy was 'luckier', his gun thrown out of his hands as he was half crushed under the twisted metal. As he howled in pain and struggled to get out Kosei walked over casually to him.

"First off. You came with weapons with all sorts of complicated bits and pieces that can get messed up," he said, casually scooping up the dropped pistol before reaching the man, crouching in front of his fallen form and putting the weapon to his head and pulling the trigger. He flinched but just as when he'd had it all it did was click, obviously still jammed. Kosei laughed at his pathetic reaction. He tossed the useless weapon aside before continuing. "Second, you tried to take me on in close quarters." He glanced up at the torn side of the building that'd once housed the fire escape, clicking his tongue a few times before looking down with that freakishly self satisfied grin.

"Oh, and the big one! Wait 'til you get hold of this." This time as he spoke he reached inside his jacket, casually producing a switch knife and flicking the blade out without losing his pace in the one sided conversation. "You tried to take me alive. If you're going to pull your punches like a buncha p*ssies then don't show up at all. Otherwise you're just making it way too easy..." The man let out a stifled sound, an attempted plea as he reached a hand out towards the young man. At that moment the blade met his throat and a few moments later the light faded from his eyes.

Kosei stood up, casually flicking the blood off the knife with a less than happy look on his face all of a sudden.
"Psh. Buncha goddamn amateurs. It's not even fun killing these flocks of fanatics with automatics if none of them are even fun to put down. Seriously, they should start sending guys with swords or flamethrowers of something." He looked over his shoulder in time for a strangely dressed and obviously not human young woman to float his way. Grinning at the thought of his own words, he asked, "Wouldn't ya agree, Mugen?" The Outsider didn't say a word, an act that made Kosei scoff. "Typical. Come on, we need to get out of here before the cops show up. I'm tired of people waving guns in my face for now." He carefully pocketed his knife before he turned towards where he'd came from and walked towards the end of the alley, casually stepping over the bullet riddled corpses of his would be captors on the way.

She heard something. Gunfire. Destruction. Collapsing. Screams. The sounds were quite nearby too, and it seemed as it no one really cared that it happened. That or she was the only one who really heard it. But more than anything, she felt power, something that seemed to be stronger than her. She wasn't really sure anymore, if it really was stronger, but it was always fun to find out, and paying her price would be nice, especially when it was early.

"Damien, come on! Something fun just happened" She said cheerily as she ran out of the alley. The illusion would wear off, in a matter of hours or days, depending on the man's mental faculties, so she had a bit more time on her hands. She might have been able to come back if she ended the next encounter fast enough. She made sure to really dice his hat though, as it looked like the most important thing he owned. She didn't know if the taller man could hear her, or if it would follow, but then where she was going would be a bit more interesting.

Three Indebted in one day, or four, one was just unresponsive. Two, again one was just standing there, were confirmed weaker than her, one mentally and another physically. She would confirm if this one was weak before the day was done. She reduced the air's strength to push back at her as she skipped, allowing her to close the short distance a bit ore quickly as she finally found the figure she assumed was the cause of all that noise.

"Are you the one who caused so much noise?" She asked the figure with a smile, ready for almost anything.

Making his way back to the scene Ian heard a resounding crashing from one of the alleys. Shit. Figuring the tall kid would have to wait he swerved in it's direction. Coming to the turn he found one of the folks from earlier, one of the ones who had basically proclaimed themselves as an indebted, speaking to a white haired man, who looked in his late teens. Spotting the carnage down the alley he unbuckled a small, standard issue pistol from his belt and aimed it at the two. "Are you two responsible for this?" Trying to keep his eyes trained on both of the potential culprits as he waited for one to respond.

Kosei didn't even make it out of the alley before he found himself facing another person. Certainly not the Pures though. This was a bright eyed blonde girl who seemed to be excited to hear the chaos going on. With hands in his pockets he raised a brow at her, sizing her up before grinning. "Most people are suppose to run away from the sound of gunfire and carnage, ya know. Ah well." He pulled his hands out, holding them palms up as black static began to come off his body and a wicked grin began to spread across his face. "So are you a martyr, a masochist or just here to prove Darwin right?"

Before he managed to make his power manifest into anything dangerous a car came barreling around the corner and stopped nearby. Sheer curiosity made Kosei stop as he lowered his hands and tilted his head, watching as a young man stepped out and drew a gun on, surprisingly, the both of them. The first words out of his mouth made Kosei grin ear to ear, raising one hand up as if trying to get a teacher's attention in class and shouting, "That's all me, chief!"

His powers manifested again for a split second, a single bolt shooting out towards the man and striking his gun in the blink of an eye with no immediate effect. Sights no set on the armed man, he licked his lips and pulled out his switchblade, walking casually past the blonde girl and towards the brown haired man, speaking to the girl as he passed by. "I'll get back to you in a second, sweet cheeks, hold on."

Damien follows Fiona and eventually they find a white haired man, that Aequalis guy was back again, the white haired guy shot a thunderbolt or something at the Aequalis man. Damien stepped in when the white haired man started walking towards the other guy with a switchblade, Damien aims his guns at the man, since they were attached to Damien's arms that should make it all the more difficult to knock them off, "Hold it right there, pal. I don't want you messing with my friend here." He nods at the Aequalis man, "So, why don't you put that knife up and leave?" He glares at the white haired man.

Seeing the spark of black energy strike his gun Ian's eyes widened. Oh god. White Hair. Red Eyes. Black Energy. Jesus Christ. Was he looking at Kosei Mishinati right now? Kosei Mishinati the mass murderer? Read the boy's description before, he was among the most dangerous Indebted on Aequalis's wanted list.

"Oh Christ. Hey I appreciate the gesture big guy but if this is who I think it is..."
Dropping his weapon as his voice trailed off, if this was who he though it was he wasn't stupid enough to try and draw a gun on him. Instead he reached down to his belt and grabbed a far simpler weapon, a police baton, raising it in the guns place and getting into a fighting stance as the white haired man approached.

Kosei lost his smile the moment another figure blocked his path, a tall sonvabitch. And another person sticking a gun in his face. Kosei let out a deep sigh, flipping the knife casually between his fingers before he spoke. "If another one of you worms sticks another goddamn gun in my face I'm going to lose it." He'd long stopped registering the weapon as a threat but it was just rude. Impersonal too. He tried using guns a few times but it was just so much less... intimate.

The same sparks radiated off his body again, seeping into the man's guns and taking a casual step around him right as the police looking fella seemed to freak out. Kosei's eyes went wide before he let out a vicious cackle, staying between the tall man and the cop fella with the blade still weaving between his fingers.
"Damn, look at the common sense on the every man here. You know my face and you're actually not gunnin' for heaven. Better for you I guess." He pointed his shoulder at the ruined alleyway he'd left. "Think those guys are feelin' regret on the way down to hell just yet? Hehe. But hey, how about we all get to know each other real quick?"

He stuck the thumb of his free hand against his chest as he spoke, oddly casual all of a sudden. "The name's Kosei Mishinati. I'm sure you've heard of my work before." He lowered his hand and turned his head to look back at the alley, his stance anything but tense as he slid his hand into his pocket. He glanced back from the corner of his eye at the baton wielding man, his gaze suddenly intense. "Might wanna lower that thing before I stick it up your a*s there, buddy," he said, his words suddenly dripping with venom.

"Introduction time! I'm Sofia Changiere!" She chimed in happily after as she turned to the officer that was mildly panicking. The man did already offer his name so it was only polite to do the same. She long since ignored the officer with a gun, knowing just how many ways she could make that little toy useless, but the man, Kosei, seemed to pay him attention, so she at least did the same. "Hi officer! Are you going to fight the white guy? Well good luck!" Her smile didn't even change when she saw the sparks radiating off him. In fact, it widened.

Chaos? This guy really thinks he can use Chaos?
She thought as several of the static discharges froze in mid air and drifted towards her. She could shift it ever so easily, from the bright sparks to something resembling black miasma. It was strange, quite dangerous, but all together weak. It didn't have a mind of its own and as such could not resist her control. Chaos was supposedly uncontrollable, and since some person was actually controlling it, that turned the task from impossible to highly improbable. This is really going to be fun.

The latter she could work with. "Oh, Kosei! If you don't might not hurting Damien as much, that would be great!" She added in just as giddily. She could not have her really interesting friend killed off immediately now could she? But she didn't want to lose her new... friend? acquaintance? subject? no just Kosei, any time soon. "Just hurry it up so we can play."
