Fandom Portal- Aperature Science-

Hello! I was wondering if anyone out there would like to do a portal role-play. I was thinking the plot could be set before Chell and the death of most of the test subjects, so they'd be in a populated testing area. GlaDos and the personality cores could also be there, and be available as roles.


So, here's the idea: Human/and or Robot test subjects have realized they'd be spending the rest of their lives in the science laboratory, so they figure they need to escape. The scientists wondered how a group of test subjects together would work through tests, and decide to bring a group of possibly rebellious test subjects together (Or, your character could want to stay.).


Note that escaping isn't a simply matter of 30 pages. The escape will require patience, since, after all, this IS a portal role-play.


Characters that are playable could be Cannon characters, test subjects (Robot or human), scientists, and even, if you really want to, turrets or Companion Cubes.


So, is anyone interested?

Well, we could potentially have scientists even with GLAdos. The neurotoxin was said to have killed everyone (except ratman) after GLAdos was installed, but that doesn't mean they all died immeddietly. I suppose the RP could start a few years after the installation with everyone waking from suspended animation.

Maybe we could have it in the 1960s at the start of Aperature or something. Or have it in the gap between Cave Johnson's death and GlaDos' installation since Cave and Caroline lived in the same period of time until Caroline became GlaDos. And Caroline is GlaDos is pretty obvious. Maybe have it set when GlaDos is first being installed. I just want to play Cave Johnson's recordings, don't I. Yeah, I do.

How about this, what if we start in the 1960s, In Cave Johnson's period of time (Some of us can be scientisist, robots, or test subjects), and later on within the neurotoxin crisis, we get suspended in time and wake up a few years after the installation, like Deadkool said?

Perfect. I think its more in the 1970s-80s The Neurotoxin age starts with GlaDos. We can also witness the rivalry between Aperature and Black Mesa

Yes! It is open! And anyone can have any character, I don't know if I'd be good with GlaDos or Cores, but If you decide you want a cannon character then go ahead and take one. Cave Johnson is taken. xD

Theory goes, Cave and Caroline hae a baby Chell together, affair or married, idk what we want. But, they decide to give her up for adoption fo her not to be a burden for them running the facility and also won't think they'll be good parents for her. So, Ratman ends up having custody of Chell. Thats why he's so protective and sends her to fight GlaDos in the comics and in the massive potato in P2 when they look at the offices, you can see Chell made it and with the potato GlaDos toy, it also confirms that Chell's parent worked at Aperture. When GlaDos realizes the pat in P2, she recognizes her daughter and lets her leave.
