Pokemon Seniti Region

"...You don't know? Whenever a wild pokemon faints, Celebi teleports them away and heals them. Why else isn't the place littered with unconscious ratattas and pidgeys?" Nex said, resisting the urge to facepalm. "Try taunting them, all they can do is struggle." Sage said to Cleopatra.

"I've never heard of such a thing," Seth replied. "It's possible, but if it was true, I would have heard about it from countless trainers. Meeting a legendary is supposed to be a great honor, not a morning ritual."

Seth wanted to believe that, but there was so much logic that debunked that theory. If someone wanted to catch Celebi, they would faint a random Pokemon and wait for the legendary to appear. If that wasn't how it worked, then a scientist would do the first half of the test and eventually trace the teleport to a determined location. It made absolutely no sense, and the boy was acting as if it was true. Well, where Seth came from, cold hard facts won over conjecture.

'Ohohoho, I love taunting,' Cleopatria giggled as she checked under a small rock formation. 'Oh, I've got a question for you. What did you think of the birdbrain back there?'

This time Nex didn't hold back the urge to facepalm. He then looked back at Seth and said, "No. Celebi doesn't teleport herself, she teleports the pokemon. The theory started a long time ago when wild pokemon mysteriously disappear when they faint and, if the trainer was lucky enough, they would find it somewhere else fully healed. People figured that because Celebi is the guardian of the forest, she looks after the wild pokemon. Of course this has never been proven, but it seems logical." (considering how logical pokemon is) "You mean the one with the Braviary? He's not too bad, but not too good either. Nex pointed out that if the shinx used projectiles on you while you were paralyzed, the fight could have ended differently." Sage replied to Cleopatra. "Nex has a nasty habit of analyzing everyone and pointing out the flaws in their technique. He says that he is helping them, but I think he is just finding a weakness in case he has to fight them."

"It seems very illogical," Seth muttered, deciding to leave the comment there to linger.

In the back of Seth's mind, he wondered if Nex was some kind of arrogant bleeding heart activist that couldn't tell when someone was displeased with them. He respected the trainer on account of his skills, but his personality seemed rather pompous in regards to a tourist who was just trying to find something interesting to do in the Seniti region. After all, Seth came from Hoenn, but he didn't look down on anyone for not knowing what Rustburo city was or how grand Slateport was. If someone wanted to learn, they would do it on their own time.

"Something on your mind?" Seth asked Nex.

'Oh no, I was talking about Ken, the Blaziken who was flirting with you earlier,' Cleopatria said as she blatantly ignored the rest of the Gardevoir's comments.

"Actually, two things. The first one is about that trainer with the combusken. The pokemon seemed to be more powerful than it should be. Sage says that I'm getting paranoid... I don't know. maybe I am..." Nex said as he looked to the distance, before turning back to Seth. "I also noticed that you might not be using the POKEcomm to the best of its abilities. In both battles, you gave your pokemon verbal advice. Telepathy is good and all, but there is more to it than that." "He's not my type." Sage said jokingly. "And after that public display, I think that we're even."

(trying to revive the roleplay)

Torik was walking through the forest looking for a new pokemon to catch. His two pokemon seemed to be good enough for whatever job he needed to do so far, but he figured that one more pokemon couldn't hurt. Bandit was sitting on Torik's shoulder as usual and scanned the trees for useful pokemon to catch. "So, what kind of pokemon are we looking for?" Bandit said to Torik. "I'm looking for a fighter. Right now we have a thief, which would be you, and a deceiver. While both of those tactics are good, we need one that can actually fight." He replied. Bandit soon spotted a sawk. "There's a fighter right there." He said. "You want to take this one?" "Sure. I haven't had a fight in a while." Bandit flew towards sawk and suddenly shouted loudly behind his back [Astonish]. The sawk didn't even flinch {inner focus} and launched a powerful karate chop at Bandit, which hit him and knocked him back. "Inner focus... our attacks won't make him flinch. We'll have to use different moves to get him tired enough for us to catch."

Vanessa was also in the forest looking for a new pokemon when she noticed Torik. She hid behind a tree as she began to remember him "Looks like he's looking for more pokemon too...unless there is something in the forest worth steeling," she thought to herself. She peeked out from behind the tree and watched the pokemon battle.

Bandit flew at a blinding speed around sawk and attacked while his guard was down [Aerial Ace]. Sawk was knocked back and hit a tree, knocking it down. Sawk then charged at Bandit and did an all out attack which did a great deal of damage on the murkrow [reversal]. Torik then threw an ultra ball (that he snatched from that store) and caught sawk. "I think I'll name him Chop." Torik said as he took out a device from the Shadocorp which looked similar to a tazer. He zapped the ultra ball and Chop's ability was changed from inner focus to mold breaker. He put the device back into his bag and pulled out some potions to heal Bandit and Chop.

Vanessa was about to sneak away when she heard some communication device go off in Torik's pocket. "This will be interesting," she thought to herself. She decided to stay hidden behind the tree.// "Torik...are you alone?" Flare's voice asked, "Is it safe for me to give you secret instructions?" Shadowcorp's leader waited for a reply. She played chess with Shadow as she waited for a reply. "Dad would want me to start his plan sooner than later...now would be a perfect time," she thought to herself.

"Hard to tell... this forest is popular for getting new pokemon; someone might be within hearing range." Torik said through the communicator before talking to Bandit through the POKEcomm."Search the area for anyone nearby." Bandit flew up above the trees and went in a circle around their area. Afterwards he flew under the blanket of leaves and looked around, soon finding Vanessa. Bandit pretended to not see her and continued to fly the circle around them. He perched on Torik's shoulder and said, "It's just that girl you met in that store. She's listening in on us. Didn't Flare want to see if she would work for her?" "There aren't any trainers trying to catch any pokemon around here." Torik said.

"Begin looking for Latios, we will need the legendary pokemon for the plan," Flare said to Torik over the communicator. "You'll most likely find him with Latias, capture her so that she can't call other trainers to help get Latios back from us." She turned from the communicator to look at the chess game. "Check," she said to Shadow, before the pokemon moved out of check.// "That bird didn't see me," Vanessa thought as she listened. She smirked, then frowned when she overheard the plot to capture Latios and Latias. "I wonder what they need Latios for...," she wondered.

"I'll need a hover-pod, a stun-blaster, and a raise." Torik said. He sent out Ghost who soon disappeared [shadow sneak]. "By the way, I found the one you were looking for earlier. I sent my haunter out so you two can negotiate to see if the person is willing to join us."

"In that case...bring her here first before looking for Latios," Flare said, before hanging up. "How could I be so dumb...the bird did see me," Vanessa thought before trying to run out of the forest. She felt Ghost grab her. "Let me go!" she yelled as she struggled to get free.

(I just found out that Haunter can't use shadow sneak. weird, because he can use shadow punch which is a punch attack from the shadows. shadow sneak is the same thing but without the punch. should I add that to the list of moves a pokemon should know? ex: garchomp can use fly because of its description)

Ghost brought Vanessa to Torik. "Nice to see you again," He said, "I told my boss about you and she seems to think that you might be of use to us." Torik recalled Bandit and Chop. Haunter then traveled with them through the shadows back to Shadocorp [shadow sneak]. They then walked towards where Flare was.

"I don't work for anyone but myself," Vanessa said to Torik as she was being taken against her will to Shadowcorp's base. Once in the base, Vanessa sat in a chair in front of Flare's desk with her arms crossed. "Like I said to Torik, I only work for myself." "What will make you change your mind? Revenge?" Flare asked, "I know your background, your parents didn't like pokemon and forbid you to have pokemon duels with your friends who had pokemon, so you ran away and now have three pokemon against their will." "I still only work..." "For yourself, I get it, but would you at least think about it?" the Shadowcorp leader asked as she handed out a communication device. Vanessa took it, leaving Flare to wonder if she was really considering joining or just wanted to leave sooner. "There...that wasn't so hard," Flare said, "Torik, you can let her go and begin your real mission now."

"Alright. I can't chase after Latios with one of my pokemon, so I'll still need a hover-pod, a stun blaster, and a flat screen TV." Torik said to Flare, obviously joking about the TV. (short post)

"You can get a hover-pod in the garage and a stun blaster in a weapon locker, but you'll have to be content watching a flat screen TV in the lounge," Flare replied. "Escort Vanessa to the front desk, the receptionist will show her the way out," she added. "I have other business to attend to." Vanessa waited to be lead out of Flare's office.

"Ghost, escort Vanessa to the front desk and meet me at the weapons locker." Torik said to Ghost. Torik walked to the weapons locker and looked at all of the weapons. "Tether gun... poisoned daggers... there it is; stun blaster." Torik picked up the stun blaster and weighed it in his hands. He saw Ghost coming towards him. "Okay, I'll stun Latios so that he won't be able to fly, then you and the rest of my pokemon will attack."

Vanessa walked out of Shadowcorp's base and contemplated whether to join or not. "Should I...or shouldn't I? I don't even know if they want to hurt and protect pokemon, or if they want to rule the world or not..." // Shadow, using illusion to look like a male pokemon trainer with long black bangs and green eyes, walked over to Torik."You may need an extra pair of hands," he said to Torik. "Latios usually travels with Latias, I can distract her while you capture Latios."

"Alright, Shadow, but you'll need to get your own hover-pod." Torik said as he walked towards the garage. "Do you have a psychic jammer with you? Latias might call for those trainers telepathically if we go after her." Torik recalled Ghost as he got closer to the garage.

Shadow headed to a gadget locker and pulled out a physic jammer. "Are you ready?" Shadow asked. before heading toward the garage. He picked out a black hover-pod. "Remember...failure is not an option."

"Failure is always an option," Torik said as he got on a similar hover-pod, "That's what makes life interesting." He launched out of the garage hanger and was soon cruising at a high altitude. "Do you know where Latios is?"

"He was last seen in the forest north of here," Shadow replied. He drove his hover-pod beside Torik's. "If all goes according to plan, Latios will be captured."

"Yeah... the plan... how does it go again?" Torik said as he drove towards the forest. "You know what, don't tell it to me. It's bad luck to tell someone your plan out in the open."

"I bet you already know the plan," Shadow said to Torik. "Focus on the job at hand, the sooner we get done here the better." He looked at the radar and noticed two blips. "Those should be Latios and Latias. This way!"
