Be advised: as suggested by their unified Pokémon League & shared Champion, the Johto region along with its sister-region of Kanto are treated as 2-halves of the larger Indigo Region.
Johto is geographically similar and likely to be based off: the Kansai region, the western Chūbu region, as well as a small part of eastern Shikoku region.
The day would be long. Long and exhausting. It was still early, just past 9, but Esther could already tell. It had nothing to do with her early waking. 5 a.m. wasn’t her usual time, but it wasn’t that far off. Nor did it have anything to do with the air, muggy as it was and tasting of salt. That could be chalked up to her location; what else would one expect from the seaside in the heat of mid-summer? Nay, Esther’s premonition had nothing to do with things that were but rather with things that were to be…
After her conversation with Naka, the Oblivian had taken some time. Time to reflect, to plan, and to truly grasp the immensity of the task ahead. Flight of fancy had charted her path thus far and although she had two Gym badges to show for her efforts, they hadn’t been in service of…well, anything. All that was to change today. Today marked the first step towards her new goals. She loved to battle; the heat of competition flushed her with an anxious energy—but she also loved to play the crowd. She was a dancer, a performer at heart—she couldn’t, wouldn’t forgive herself if she turned away from the path of a Coordinator. It was a real dilemma: did she pursue battles or performances? Esther greedily picked both. It would be difficult; she would have to work twice as hard to hone her skills in both fields but…but nothing. It would be hard; honestly, the idea was daunting. Just imagining the workload was exhausting. Nevertheless, the first step was always the hardest. Once she hit her stride, everything would be, if not easier, then at least smoother.
Esther could no longer be satisfied with a simple Gym challenge. She recalled that each Gym allowed trainers to tackle the Gym in different, more difficult formats. If greater heights could be achieved, then why should she settle? Go big or go home!
Unfortunately, while Kalos was the perfect place for her battle aspirations, Esther favored Contest to Pokémon Showcases and so Kalos wouldn’t do for her debut as a performer. For that, the Oblivian set her sights on Alola, whose Contest season would begin next month. It would be an additional handful of days—maybe even weeks—until the first contests in Alola were held, but that would only give Esther more time to perfect her debut…
The blare of the ferry’s horns snapped Esther out of her thoughts even as her hands snapped over her ears. She scowled at the ship. Did their horn need to be that loud? It must’ve woken half of Cianwood City! Whatever. The ship was right on schedule and after twenty-five minutes of boarding, they would be off to Olivine City. That said...where were her friends? They weren't still sleeping, right? Surely not...?

After the morning onsen with Esther and being gifted the giant Blastoise Reina caught off Yellow Rock Isle, Naka had gotten ready to leave. She still had upper arm in a stiff cast so her arm was a perpetual right angle due to a hairline fracture in her humerus, and the bruises she got from fighting a newly-evolved Mienshao were starting to change to a nice yellow and brown color. Wearing a green tank top, putting on her backpack, and wearing shorts, she threw her blonde hair to the side to show off her undercut, her blue eyes shining brilliantly in the sun now that she was feeling much better.
Her Chikorita on her shoulder, she walked onto the docks and began texting everyone. Theo, Johnathan, Desmond, Aldon, Rick, and Billy were all given a text message from Naka to let them know it was about time to leave Cianwood. She even sent a "nice near-death experience, hope you're okay" to Theo for the picture of a Fearow battering the Protect that protected him. Even Esther got the text message on accident.
Figuring Reina was going to stay behind, she met up with Esther and smiled, giving her a little wave, the calming aroma of the Chikorita on her shoulder helping to drown out the strong attempts of her aura trying to commune with the emotions of the nearby Water-Typed Pokemon.
"Hey, Es-" She immediately held her ears, grunting in pain as the boat's alarm sounded, and also disturbing the Water-Types beneath them. She sighed, looking weary already, her Chikorita looking dazed and trying to recover from the loud sound. "I'm pretty sure this boat ride is going to suck ass." Groaning, she straightened up and smiled. "Anyway, I sent all of them a text message. If they don't get up, that's too bad on them. They need to hurry up." Naka had no idea an Emma was here anyway, and likely wouldn't know if she was tailing with Desmond due to never having seen her.
Tuesday, August 9th, Olivine City, WCS Rank 25,274.
Finally, the training in Alola was over, the WCS tournament had come to a conclusion and Reina was back on her tracks. With her two new members on her team, she was inspired to move forward. Her last two weeks had been filled with so much new stuff, she was starting to wonder if she was going to finally get a break. She even got the contact of a handsome boy that was provoking the Butterfree in her stomach. Still, despite the distance between them, she was looking forwad to seeing him again. For now, she had to focus on her next subject.
Reina had been sent by her master to assist with the Zubat swarm. Apparently, a horde of Zubat was overtaking the surrounding routes. She had to try and depend on her new team members, but had her Lapras and Swampert in the back just in case. "Alright, Flor, let's do this." Reina looked down at the spirited Bulbasaur next to her. The Pokemon looked happy as always, taking in the bright sunlight as she listened to her trainer.
Reina began making her way up north, deciding to take the route head on. She wanted to set up a base and be ready to face the swarm before it became dark, when they were more active. She could see several trainers had gotten the call too, gathering in groups and preparing to help out as much as possible. A team was probably a good idea.
"Come on, Flor, let's scout around to see if anyone is recruiting people."

What a day. What a day? What am I talking about, what a morning! Another sleepless morning that would lead in to another sleepless day, he was sure. Or rather, he had been. After the Spearow/Fearow incident Theo had made his way back to the pokemon center, a center where he quickly once again fell asleep as soon as he sat down and got comfortable. He wasn't sure what that barrier had been that had protected him from the Fearow's attack, but he had concluded that it was somehow something he had done on a subconscious level. He concluded this because he had become significantly more tired once the barrier had faded, and left him wondering could he do it again? If so, how? And most importantly, should he do it again? He tried several times to reproduce the barrier once he was sure he was safely back in town to no avail, which made him consider the circumstances he had found himself in to produce it the first time. Was it something only effective against bird strikes, or was it a life in mortal danger situation? He would have to do some research to get his answers. But for now, he needed sleep.
For the first time since his arrival in this world, Theo found himself able to not only sleep, but to enjoy it. He slept peacefully for the few hours he was able to sleep, nearly throwing his Rotom Phone to stop his alarm from blaring just a few short hours later. He was sleeping and wanted to continue to do so, but the rest of the world had other plans. The boat was leaving in an hour or so, and he needed to be on it. Reluctantly Theo stood from the couch he had made himself comfortable on and stretched before heading out. He didn't bother to eat, figuring there would be food on the boat ride. As he walked Theo took the opportunity to look up more about what the barrier could have potentially been, finally settling on the psychic type move simply known as Barrier. Huh. That was....anti-climatic. Clicking on the link his Rotom Phone would buzz to life, crying out "T̸̼̫͇͓̤̓͌̈́̈́ơ̷͇̼̘͚̄̾̎̐p̵̡̤̝̙̖͒ ̴̢͙̤͐͆̏͗̈́̾͜1̸̜͎̔0̵̳̤̝̮̟̚ ̷̧̺̱̟͙͍͂̽͗̾P̵̣̯̙̳̬̥̐̆̾͗͋o̵̡̙͔͒k̶̢̧̳̰̎̊́͜ͅȅ̸̤̬̞̤͊͆̉m̴̢͈̻̙̐ő̵̠̞̥̲͙̗̂̿n̶̦͇̣͘ ̵̱̯̅̑͑w̷̢̩̤̒h̶̝̆ơ̵̢͗͋̏ ̷̨̛͇̻̤͑c̸̪̼͑̀̑͝a̸͚͝n̷̨̉̃̽́͛ ̸̗͚̣́͊̊̏͑ĺ̸͙͔̗̍̽͜͠é̷̲͎̀̋͌̚͠ä̶̭̪̖́̿̕͜ͅr̴̝̤̺̈̒̑ṅ̶̫͂͒͗ ̸̰̹̂͋̅͂̅B̵̭͔͒̾̓̎̚͠a̷͉̥̓r̴̲͈̤͈̤̦̅͛̕͝͝͝r̶̠̗̟͖̂̀̏̀͠i̶̤͆e̴̩͐̀͌̈́̈́͠r̵̝͚̥̰̿͒̿!̸̗̔̉̒̔ ̴͕̈́̈́͑͌̾̇͜ͅN̸̼̪̪͔̠̏͆ŭ̷̺̥̣̲͍̳m̶̲͛͛ͅb̶̖̺̒e̷̱̱̺͇̰͊̇͛̚r̶̖͕͚͊̔̈́ ̷̥̟͚̫̓͝4̷̥̝͚̥̄͠ ̴̛͕̰̐͊͠W̶̡̛̞͕̰͍̪͆̈́̈͆͝ỉ̴̡̞̤̦̮̺͆͋l̸̢̫͖̺̟̀͝l̵̺̥̙̲̭̼͒ ̵̹̤͕̍̊̆́̆̿s̷̡̖̺̼̎̈́͛ù̵̥̘͕̱̚ͅr̶̩͙̓̆͗̍p̵̧̰͉͉͈̗̓͑̂͋̅̚r̸̮͒̒i̶̢̨͎̙̭̞̐̅s̴̜̝̤͕͌̅̀̔é̴̟͖͈̓̆̚ ̵̡͎̬̫̮͖̋̽́͠ỹ̶̮̊͜o̷̧͙̍͘̕ͅụ̷̭̃̃!̸̨̢̛̛̰͓͌͘͝!̸͉̎" to the shock of Theo, causing him to flinch. "Damn ads. Even worse here than back home" He would mutter before closing the ad.
He had learned he fine art of walking while looking down from years of reading while on the go, which resulted in him easily finding his way in to the line to board the ship while he continued to read. Psychic pokemon. He didn't have one of those. Maybe it wouldn't hurt to invest in trying to find one. However, the list of psychic type pokemon that could learn the Barrier attack was...limited to 13. That wasn't very promising. While he stood in line he got a text from Naka that was quickly followed up by another, telling him she hoped he was ok. How did she...looking back through his messages, he finally saw all that his Rotom Phone had been sending her. The Fearow attack. The photo of him and Eos when she was still wild. The photo of him after his first day in this world and the accompanying sound of defeat. A scowl crossed his features. "You know, if you were a regular phone I would've thrown you in to the ocean for pulling a stunt like that. As it happens, I know you can float, so it wouldn't do me much good." And he didn't want to lose his only lifeline to the outside world. Big picture. He was half way through his reply to Naka's messages when the ship horn blew, Theo letting the phone go so he could cover his ears. True to his statement it floated exactly where he had let it go, Theo taking it back in to his hands once the horn was done.
<<Already in line to board. I'm fine, but confused. I'm not su......did the horn really have to be that loud???? Let's find a way to see whose farther ahead in line so we can get on board sooner.>>
With the message sent Theo rubbed both sides of his head under his ears, which were still slightly ringing from the horn. He hoped that wasn't going to be a regular occurance for however long the boat ride was. "I bet they did that on purpose. Maybe they're related to that grouchy old guy at the Safari Zone entrance."
Andy current location: Mahogany City, Jotho (August 7 )
After getting his items thanks to his parents back in Mahogany Town, one of which was his starter, Azurill, he began his journey by heading down Route 42, mainly to catch a Pokemon and to get some experience for Azurill. The two would run into a zubat and quickly deal with this annoyance before running into a mareep. The yellow sheep would be a slightly harder battle but eventually would be caught by Andy, at which point he looks to head to Mt mortar. The outside of the mountain would have a Pokemon center and a mart to stock up on potions, the status healing items and a few berries before going to make his way through the mountain.
While making his way through the mountain, there is what looks like a precession of Clefairys along with a few Cleffa, the two look to slowly get closer to the pink pokemon, Andy tries offering Clefairy and Cleffa a few berries, though being the timid species they are, neither would immediately go for the berries. Regardless, Andy waits calmly for them to come over and gently take a few berries, Cleffa munches on them, happily smiling at Andy after finishing the berries. "Perhaps you would like to come with me?" Andy asks the tiny star pokemon, and while Clefairy is worried about this, the tiny Cleffa happily nods, Andy then pets the little mon who gives him a little nuzzle before he tries putting it into a Pokeball.
This works out thankfully and Andy goes the rest of the way through Mt Mortar with no other issues this time around. Once out of Mt Mortar , he heads to Ecruteak City and takes a break there to rest for the night in a pokecenter
The next day, now in Ecruteak, Andy would take some time and play with the two pokemon a bit, specifically hide and seek as both the sheep and star liked to run off, much to Andy's annoyance. However, he deals with this and keeps them a lot closer after finding them. At the moment, his objective is to see the rest of Jotho and explore its towns, cities and routes. He would explore the city till about noon taking in the area a bit and buying some little baking supplies before heading to route 38 and 39. The trip itself takes until early evening, and that's due to Andy and his pokemon running into a meowth, with Andy having Topaz, the Cleffa, get in a few hits before switching out to Tesla, the mareep, the cat getting in 3 fury swipes on topaz also helped this.
Soon enough, they are able to faint the meowth and move on through the routes, arriving at olivine City by late evening. A quick heal at the pokemon center and he heads out into the city. A look around reveals some other people by the docks. "Seems we are going to have to catch a ferry to explore some more" Andy nods heading to the docks.
Desmond had already been waiting at the docks, as he arrived early along with Emma and Aldon. Desmond had not gotten a good night's sleep after his talk with the former but had managed to mask it well enough all things considered. Just as the thought of who would arrive and when came it seemed Esther arrived who seemed to glance around the area as if she seemed to try and spot anyone in the party. Desmond was sure she had seen him, but elected not to dwell upon the implications as he had his backpack set and was ready for the trip as boarding seemed only minutes away.
Soon enough more of the group seemed to be gathering in as they seemed to be in business now. Reina, Theo and...
Buzz!
Desmond seemed to reach into his pocket as he pulled out his Pokesketch as Naka seemed to send a group text to meet up here, which Desmond seemed annoyed at. With Emma and Aldon he suspected that they had just not seen them where they had been waiting, but with Desmond he seemed to take this as them deliberately ignoring him but perhaps that had just been a bad mood from the night before.
Either way, he figured he should make his presence known as he walked to Naka and Esther.
"Already present and accounted for. Caught the early bird for a change, though don't be shocked if I just crash in a bed when we board up on the boat, I am not much of a morning person." Desmond mused to Esther and Naka as he eyed the others who seemed to arrive on the scene as it seemed the gang was coming together. Desmond glanced at the ship itself and perhaps maybe, just maybe, this would be one trip where nothing weird or stupid happened to make him lose his nerve too much.
He had been hopeful, but he also seemed prepared for the worst by this point.
Mentions: Desmond (godjacob
) Emma had been waiting with Desmond and Aldon when she saw someone that Desmond apparently knew, but she had no idea about who it was. Naturally, her curiosity was piqued, and she followed Desmond to see what was going on. She hoped none of her Pokémon would pop out of their Pokéballs, especially remembering that most of them seem to scare Desmond, even his own Politoed from time to time. As long as nothing felt threatening, Volcarona shouldn't pop out on his own, but Cinderace or Dusknoir would be more likely. Her thoughts were cut off by the buzzing of a Pokésketch, and Desmond having an annoyed look.
Emma then saw the other two, and waved to them, wondering if they were part of the Group.
"Hi, I'm Emma, I was traveling with Desmond in the National Park, we participated in the Bug Catching Contest while we were there." Emma explained, "I had been in Cianwood, touring most of the days, and went to see a Dunsparce outbreak on Route 34 yesterday. I came back and one of my Pokémon recognized Desmond from the National Park, immediately flying off to greet him."
The Fast Ball on Emma's belt Shook a bit at being mentioned. She had been reading the news a bit from time to time, and recognized the blonde, articles about which would appear from time to time after articles on The Masked Skull. She hoped that her explanation doesn't set anyone off on her, or get her questioned. She did not need to drop any sort of her personal secrets today, especially after last night's talk with Desmond.

Interactions: Nakano Saito (Merciless Medic)
Johnathan was already in the midst of waiting at the docks, he had woken up rather early and spent the first few hours of the morning simply exploring the city a bit. His peaceful stroll through the streets was interrupted by a sudden buzz in his pocket, most likely his Rotom phone received a text message, from Naka no less who explained that it was nearing the time for the boat to leave Cianwood. Johnathan smiled and simply replied with 'Omw' before he put his phone back in his pocket and made his way over to the docks where several people had already gathered, Johnathan narrowed his eyes as he looked around to see where Naka was. Once he caught sight of her, he called out to her while he waved and walked towards her with a smile on his face.
Just before he could say his first words of the day, he was interrupted by the unbearably loud sound of the boat's horn which forced him to cover his ears. "Gah! Son of a-!" Johnathan let out an annoyed grunt before he sighed and looked back at Naka with a lazier wave than before. "Hey Naka, hopefully I didn't keep everyone waiting." He said as he looked over at the ship they were about to ride, hopefully there were good ways he could pass the time on there.

As the trio waited, Aldon began fishing without bait. It wasn't his intention to catch anything, but it helped pass the time. Should he catch something, he'd have just thrown it back anyways. Aldon heard a text message just like Desmond. Being the bored sort, Aldon decided to make a cheeky reply of how they were already at the docks waiting for them. He chuckled before clicking send. Turning his attention towards Desmond and Emma.
"What do you guys plan to do when we get to Olivine City" Aldon paused to pull in his line. Only thing he caught was more seaweed. He threw his line back in.
"Me, I plan to visit the lighthouse. Maybe visit the farm up north and get some momo milk" Aldon responded. Skol turned to look at Desmond.
"You'd like that, wouldn't you?" Aldon said before jokingly pinching Skol's cheek.

There were a lot of trainers. It seemed the so called swarm was making things difficult for trainers specially newer ones. For now, the best she could do was to help those struggling across the region to get to their destination or try and scout the area to see if anyone was in trouble. As Reina looked around, she noticed a specific trainer who seemed to just have arrived. It was the perfect situation to try and get updates on the route leading to Olivine.
"Excuse me!" Reina called out as she approached Andy and his team, her Bulbasaur skipping happily next to her. "My name is Reina, I'm here to help out with the Zubat Swarm. Did you happen to notice anything unusual on the way here? I'm planning on going on expedition, specially to the Moomoo Farm up ahead, just to check if things are okay."

While heading toward the docks, Andy and Aqua notice one of these trainers heading toward them, he wasn't sure for what purpose but maybe he could provide some help. "Excuse me!""My name is Reina, I'm here to help out with the Zubat Swarm. Did you happen to notice anything unusual on the way here? I'm planning on going on expedition, specially to the Moomoo Farm up ahead, just to check if things are okay."
"I see, nice to meet you Reina, I'm Andy, I haven't seen any giant swarms of Zubat flying around as I made my way here. Perhaps they are at the farm you mentioned? If so, could we tag along to help with it? Sounds like some good training at the very least but we won't be able to handle so many by ourselves." After saying this he looks to his bag to check that he has a few antidotes on hand, of which he has 4 of them as well as 3 potions.
He did see the bulbasuar that happily trailed behind her making him remark, "Well I do at least have several pokemon that can help deal with that swarm, I assume you do as well?

.
Rick and his pokémon slept through the night under a palmtree near the beach. In hindsight, maybe they should've picked a different spot away from the docks for when the boat arrived and made sure that everyone in Cianwood knew about its arrival.
"AAAAAAAAAAASSSSsss!!" - Rick shouted.
Rick and Pearl immediately woke up as the ship's horn blew up. "Is it even legal for a ship's horn to produce this much noise? They just made every passenger deaf for sure!" He complained, wincing and rubbing his ears as he waited for the ringing to wear off. He then sighed and dusted off his clothes. "Okay... well, I guess it's time to get going, right guys? Hmm?" Rick raised an eyebrow and put his hands on his waist, tapping his foot as he stared at both Zephir and Iris, who were still laying on the ground motionless and with... whirly eyes? "Wow... you know it's bad when a ferry uses Boomburst and manages to KO two of your pokémon in one hit." Rick pulled Zephir's ball out and recalled the Grass-type. He then looked at Iris and let out a sigh. "Now to drag over 240 pounds of dead weight to the Pokemon Center, 'cause I don't have her ball with me!" He said, rubbing his hands and grabbing the mare by the neck as he started pulling her. He would eventually give up halfway, realizing that Pearl could do the job much easier.
Upon entering the Pokecenter and droping Iris on the floor so the nurse could do a quick check up, Rick went to the PC to give Chris a call and put him up to date on the current situation. "Mornings... so uh... yesterday I was in a hurry and had no time for details. But I had to come back to Cianwood to help with a little incident. Someone decided to let loose a drugged Aggron in the Safari Zone." Rick explained. Chris kept staring at the screen, elbow on the table and holding his head, until he finally spoke. "I already knew that... at least the part that you were in Cianwood." He told him. "Oh, right! I forgot you could just check the IP Address from the last call." Rick said. Chris raised an eyebrow. "Actually I just checked your phone, that you left on my desk." He said, holding Rick's phone with two fingers and showing it on screen. "Looks like you've made some acquaintances. I don't do this very often, but I also checked the number. Nakano something?"
Rick noted the text message that was in it about the ship that was about to arrive at the docks. Would've helped preventing some suffering to his eardrums. "Huh... how does she know I'm in Cianwood if the last time I saw her I was in a boat to Olivine?" Rick questioned, rubbing his chin. Chris rolled his eyes. "I don't know! Must be a plot hole or something. I'm much more intrigued about that woman still being alive for how suicidal she is." He said, while Rick stared at the screen with a raised brow. "But we digress! So, what now?" He questioned.
"Right! So now I'm sort of in probation until I complete this flight course in Ecruteak before they allow me to leave the region. 'Cause apparently you can't even fly without a license now." Rick explained, waving his arms. Chris leaned back on his chair, rubbings his eyes and sighing. "Oh boy... well, at least you already have half of it completed pretty much. Anyways, I won't delay you anymore." He said. "Can you just send me Iris's ball? I might need it in case that ship decides to commit mass murder once we arrive." Rick asked. Chris nodded, grabbing the Luxury Ball and putting on the transporter before activating the machine. "Alright, sweet, back to business! Good byes!" Rick said, hanging down the call. As he turned on the chair and stood up, the nurse came to him with Iris in tow and Zephir on her back. "Your pokémon are all well and healty, sir. Just umm... we found some radioactive material inside your Rap--" Rick interrupted and attached two hundred dollar bills on the nurse's note board and rushed out the door before he had to come up with an explanation.
Rick headed to the docks, hoping that whoever was in charge of that boat wouldn't repeat the same prank. As he was preparing to embark, he recognized the group of people he had met in Yellow Rock. And Naka happened to be among them. "Well well... looks like I won't have to look too much to pay the debt." He muttered. He approached the group from behind before speaking. "Hold up! You're not gonna pay that ticket! I'm gonna pay it!" He said out loud. "In fact, I'm gonna pay you double, since the one you bought me last time was pretty much wasted." He said, pulling out a second bill and handing it to Naka. And that's when he noticed the cast arm and bruises and made a grimace. Maybe that's what Chris meant by "suicidal". Rick then peeked at the envelope with the money. "Well... pretty sure the course won't be that expensive, so..." He pulled yet another bill and handed it to Naka. "For health insurance and stuff?"

Getting a buzz, Naka looked at her phone to see Theo's message. Naka looked out over the group, finding Theo first. She put her fingers in her mouth and whistled one of those loud ranch whistles. "THEO!!!" She waved her non-injured arm to get him to skip the line over to where they were at, which was significantly closer to the boats.
Then, she noticed Desmond walked up, with Aldon fishing nearby and a girl beside Desmond. She smiled, glad to see Desmond was still alive. "Heyy, Desmondo! I didn't even see you, glad to see you're doing well. Well, besides the morning blues." Already she gave him a nickname, probably because she felt unusually happy... Why? Probably some Water-Type beneath her.
Emma spoke up, wasting no time in introducing herself and... Saying some kind of reason for knowing Desmond? As well as what she did earlier. She didn't really ask for that information but why not get more, she guessed. She smiled, waving to her. "I'm Nakano Saito, but you can just call me Naka. I'm a Sinnoh Researcher who studies Pokemon behavior through ecology and genetics and Sinnoh's Guardian Researcher as... Embarrassing as that is." She chuckled sheepishly before continuing. "Nice to meet you, Emma."
It was then that she found Johnathan, and she was apparently really glad he was here, as she waved and practically beamed with happiness. "Heyy, John! Nope, you're just on time." Now, there was just one more person...
Aaaand there was Rick, arriving just in time before they were about to board the ship. She looked at the cash he gave her, confusing her. Then, she remembered she had paid him for a boat ride a few days ago, and she chuckled at his generosity, especially when he seemed to care about her health. "Aww, thanks, but I'll be alright. Thank you though, I could probably use that for my hospital bill. I saw you at the Safari Zone dealing with a drugged Aggron, so I'm glad to see you're alright."
Aldon asked what they planned on doing and Naka hummed before giving him an answer. "Well, there's the doubles gauntlet at the Glitter Lighthouse, but before that I wanna take on the Normal-Type Gym in Olivine for the funsies and battle this guy's ace with mine." She beamed at Johnathan, clearly very pumped for when their battle would start. She then spoke to Aldon again. "Alright, purple guy, stop fishing, we're about to board now." She happily said before going to board one of the boats, using the money Rick gave her to pay for her boat ticket.
Then she made sure everyone else had their boat tickets. If they didn't pay for theirs online or beforehand, she paid for their tickets before heading onto the boat herself, sighing as she enjoyed the sea air, nearby Wingull flying overhead and she felt their intense need to gossip with each other. She looked over at Esther with a smile as she leaned against the side railings of the boat, a stark contrast to her glum attitude earlier moments after the boat horn. Her Chikorita that sat atop her shoulder had recovered earlier from the sound of the boat, and was now resting with a drowsy expression atop her shoulder, his head leaf wagging languidly. "So, Esther, got an idea of what you're doing later?" She asked. She was wondering what kind of headspace or ideas she had since they last talked a few hours ago.

"I do have a good team with me, right Flora?" Reina looked down at her bulb Pokemon, getting a happy chirp in return. "My plan is to try and get to the farm by tonight, hopefully we can spend the night there or camp out."
Reina adjusted her backpack and took out her RotomPhone. "Here let's register numbers in case we get separated." She let the phone float on its own as it registered his contact information and then went back to Reina's hand. "Do you need to go buy some supplies before we go? I can wait here for you."
Reina looked at her phone and sent Reggie a message, letting him know she was about to enter Route 39 and investigate the Zubat Swarms. "Otherwise, my and my team are ready to punch the street!" She was still learning some of the idioms, hit the road was what she meant to say.

"I do have a good team with me, right Flora?" Andy nods as Reina says this bringing more of a sense of calm to Andy now.
"Great to hear" he responds back, "But I better buy some other supplies just in case things get crazy at the farm, maybe camping out can minimize the damage of the swarm? " that last one in response to Reina's hope to arrive at the farm before nightfall. he stops himself from ranting anymore as Reina suggests to register contacts which he immediately agrees to. He would also register her contact info into his not Rotomphone before heading off back to the market for 3 more antidotes and 2 more potions before heading back to Reina as she was sending a message to someone. "Sorry that took a bit long but I'm ready to head out if you are. " he and his small trio of pokemon look to him and Reina with smiles, ready to move out.

"It's okay, I was just sending a message to..." She had never presented Reggie before, what was the proper term? "A man." Failed. She pressed her lips together at her lack of title for the boy she was crushing on and decided to just move on. "But, let's get going! If they're Zubat, we don't want to get stuck in the middle of the night with them."
Reina adjusted her backpack and started walking up route 39. There was still a few hours of sunlight left, but that didn't change the fact that Zubat could be seen flying in the distance amongst the trees. Reina could only imagine how much of a hard time the wild Pokemon where having with such a threat looming over them. This only fueled her spirit though, wanting to make sure she could help as much as possible.
"So, Andy, what brings you to Johto? Are you here for the Silver Conference? because that would make us rivals."

Andy nods, not pressing the issue to avoid problems with Reina. "Well then let's go and deal with the Zubat" he would nod agreeing with Reina. The two head out to route 39 now, the area still awash with the last rays of sunlight, the area not exactly free of the bats, some just flying about in the sky without too much of a care. "Seems we have some bats around the sky, not sure if they are just circling, being sentries or something else. Seems we will have quite a lot of them to deal with," he sighs. The good news, if one could call it that, is that that swarm is heavily localized to the farm they were heading to. But what damage have the bats caused? "Oh, by the way, I'm not actually after the gyms all that much really, I will give the WCS a try though. Not sure how well i'd do during it, though I could be a rival for you I guess? Also, I live here, Jotho is my home region." He responds to Reina continuing to move along the route.
Esther visibly sagged at the sound of Desmond’s voice. Honestly, she hadn’t noticed him before; but if she had, she would’ve ignored him anyway. Yesterday, perhaps, she would have extended common courtesy, pleasantries, and platitudes. Today, she had no mood for it. Yesterday was a day of thought and introspection; a crisis of purpose had been averted and Esther found herself faced with challenges that would be difficult enough on their own without someone sapping the positivity from her life. She had lofty—ambitious—goals: goals that loomed ahead amidst doubt and uncertainty. It was one thing for a friend to not share her enthusiasm, it was another for them to actively dampen it. She couldn’t—wouldn’t—allow it!
The photographer received no more than a glance from the Oblivian as her attention pivoted elsewhere. Her eyes landed on Emma with an intensity that quickly faded, replaced with a bubbly cheer that she’d been lacking for some time. “Hiya, Emmy! Can I call you Emmy? I’m Esther! Nice to meetcha!”
Esther flashed a cheeky grin and offered a handshake. “I’d love to chat, but I’ve got a boat to catch, unless…you’re also headed to Olivine? If you are, then we can chat on the boat!”
By the time Esther had finished speaking she was skipping onto the boat, feeling like a weight had been lifted off her chest. It didn’t take long before friends and acquaintances filed onto the ship—a rather small ship now that she really took it in. Certainly, it was quite a bit smaller than its thundering horn would suggest and smaller than Esther would have expected from a boat that braved the Whirlpool-ridden water of the Whirl Islands. Was there something she was missing?
At that thought, Esther peered over the ship’s railings and into the waters below and—sure enough! “A Kingdra!” Did it belong to the captain of the ship? A crewmate? Was it even a captured Pokémon or did Kingdra naturally inhabit these waters? Whatever the answer, Esther figured the only feasible solution to her earlier question was that some Pokémon guided the ship through the Whirlpools and ensured their safe passage. She raised her pokétch—
The power to create whirlpools with a yawn? That sounded fierce! Soon enough her own Pokémon would be every bit Kingdra’s rival and then…
“Huh?” Esther turned when she heard her name. “What was that? What I’m doing later…?”
The Oblivian paused to think, but only for a moment—“Well that’s easy! The same thing I’m gonna do right now—battle! I’ve been neglecting the other members of my team and I need to correct that. I read in a travel guide that there’s a facility called the Battle Tower just west of Olivine City, so I think I’ll go there. For now, though?”
The Captain's voice crackled over the intercom, all passengers had boarded, and the S.S. Mariné was setting off!
Esther grinned, the third pokéball on her waist suddenly in hand. Her eyes flickered, sparking with a twinkle of mischief. “THEO! It’s time you and I settled things!”

As Aldon turned head, he heard Naka greeting the group. At that moment, Skol began to glow a violent bright white. Aldon lifted Skol's tail and saw a shellder. Yanking it off, he threw it back in the ocean. And like that, Skol stopped glowing.
"Glad you made it, yellowww lady. Was beginning to worry you wouldn't make it in time" Aldon continued the joke as he got up. Put his rod away. Skol stared into the ocean at what could have been. Before turning towards Aldon ready to go.
"Poke poke!"
Hearing the captain speak, Aldon eagerly boarded the ship.
"First!" The ruin maniac delightfully cheered. Skol took his time and eventually boarded the ship. Aldon pulled out his journal. Documenting his journey thus far. Mainly his trip to the Whirlpool Islands and the peculiar silvery blue relic he found. Olivine was their next city to arrive at. Aldon knew of the light house as well as the dairy farm up north. Rather than find a seat, he found a nice spot to lean against the ship's rail. He has a nice view of Cianwood as well as the others who'd board the ship as well. Taking a picture of Skol as he boarded the ship. The pink hippo was too oblivious to notice.

"World Coronation Series? Oh me too! Well maybe we can get some training in once we have some time." Reina crossed her arms over her chest with a determined look. "But I have to warn you, I've been training hard, even if my Pokemon are newly caught, we can't be taken lightly."
The idea of going back to her beginnings and facing all the challenges she did before sent a thrill down her spine. Facing the horde that earned her the leader of the pack, King, her Tauros. The capture of Diva and Maya during her travels. The various gym challenges she's faced throughout her journey, watching her team grow and learn. She could only wonder which adventures her Bulbasaur and Nidorina would get to see. She smiled and took a quick picture of the Bulbasaur happily following her and sent it to Esther, letting her know she was on her way to face the Zubat swarm too. Of course a kiss emoji to Reggie also.
As Reina was lost in her thoughts, her eyes caught sight of something suspicious. There were a pack of Zubat and a Golbat, probably the leader of the pack, attacking a group of Meowth. Probably a mom and her kittens. "Come on, Andy, time to work!"
Reina reached for the Poke Ball with her Nidorina and tossed it forwad. "Come on out, Sapphire! Fury Swipes! Protect those Meowth!"
The sphere opened open and the Nidorina came out rushing forward, her eyes set on the target as her claws extended. She burst into the swarm of bats, attacking each and everyone that tried getting around her to get to the cat like Pokemon.

The sort of slight from Esther had not gone unnoticed, so it seemed his hunch was correct as she had no problem being all buddy bud with Emma, Desmond sighed but it sort of made sense as he had not exactly endeared himself to much of this group so he figured it was best not to make noise on the subject,
Desmond listened as Emma seemed to explain her deal and reason for being here, given that unless he was unaware otherwise this was the first time she met his group face to face for this little venture. Seemed Esther and her were set to get along well as she inquired about whether Emma would be tagging along on the ride of Olivine and he seemed to decide to speak up.
"Yeah uh, we decided to journey together least to that destination." Desmond explained, and "we" seemed to refer to himself, Aldon and Emma and on that subject Aldon seemed to ask waht they would do once they arrived as he seemed to spitball a few suggestions as Desmond turned to him and seemed to shrug his shoulders a bit. "Lighthouse is my destination, though I also aim to try and get some good photos by the docks. Think it speaks to the spirit of the area." Desmond admitted as much though he figured some of what he did would be decided on the fly sort of thing.
Naka seemed to be as spirited as ever, though as she greeted Desmond she seemed to refer to him as "Desmondo" and for the first time today the young man's usual expression of reserved indifference broke as his eyes seemed to rise subtly and he had just a dumbfounded look on his face. D-did she really just...he had heard her say...Desmond seemed to be honestly stunned. If cringe was a physical force than the amount that seemed to slam into him from that term would've been enough to put him six-feet under.
"Y-yeah, though uh...I would advise against such nicknames without prompting." Desmond replied back, needing a minute to find his voice to Naka before he shook his head as it seemed it was time to board the ship. Aldon and Esther seemed to be among the first to venture up as Desmond made sure his bag was secure and followed the group up to the ship as he hoped for a more calm, uneventful trip to Olivine which given how their path had gone lately seemed to be a bigger ask than it needed to be.
Emmaline Marissa "Emma, Emmy" Argentston, Rank 48,679, Cianwood City, Johto, going on boat to Olivine, July 25th. Emma was then spoken to by a girl about her siblings' age, who introduced herself as Esther. If she would look back, she would see Desmond sighing in the back.
"I never had that happen to me before, I don't mind, Esther, and yes, I'm headed to Olivine City, I am going to have to get used to a boat." Emma responded, and shook Esther's hand as the Boat tooted its own horn.
Emma then had her ticket paid for earlier, and a Pokéball opened, revealing a Fraxure. She and Fraxure were in the process of boarding the boat, when she lost Esther, Naka, Desmond, and naturally followed. As she boarded, she saw various People of all walks of life, and various Pokémon. Fraxure then bumped into a Togedemaru, the spikes on the Togedemaru's back stood out on end and pricked Fraxure.
"Sorry about Togedemaru," A young woman walked up.
"It was Fraxure's curiosity that ended up with this." Emma responded, looking over Fraxure's legs for any puncture wounds from Togedemaru.
Emma then felt a Pokéball shake. This was not good, she knew of one Pokémon that would threaten to pop out if a teammate was hurt. Emma pulled that Pokéball, a Fast Ball, off her belt.
"It was an accident." Emma whispered.
The young woman looked at Emma with curiosity as she whispered, wondering what could be in that Fast Ball.
"Why are you whispering to a Pokéball?"
"I have a teammate that is highly protective of me and Fraxure, and something like this is a possible appearance."
Emma then put the Fast Ball back on her belt. She hoped that the woman wouldn't press further, especially if said teammate were revealed.
"I have to go, I need to find my friends, it seems like I lost them."
"Don't worry about it, I'll see you around."
Emma then headed off, and started looking for Desmond in this crowd. She then pulled out one of her Pokéballs and let out her Togekiss.
"Togekiss, find Desmond."
The Jubilee Pokémon started her search, looking for the young man who would be nervous whenever she or one of her teammates. It had been a while since she saw him, and before she left, Fraxure attempted to give the best Description of Desmond, which ended being the spoken equivalent of Torchic Scratch. Togekiss sighed and flew off above the ferry, looking for Desmond.
Jennifer was fuming, she knew she was right, she just knew it. All the other bug trainers laughed at her, ridiculed her in front of Bugsy. The idiots wouldn't know a beetle if it bit them in the bum. Her beloved Trapinch was mocked. She would prove them wrong, she would prove them all to be idiots. She would show her worth by taking out the most feared trainer of bug catchers. She would prove her strength by talking out Falkner of Violet city. She stormed up the the door before taking a deep breath. Red puffy eyes, tears watering her blushed cheeks. She would prefer not to present herself like this but she had no other option. She had to while the adrenaline was running through her veins. She wiped of the tears and fixed her extremely messy hair, making it...well, less messy. One could only do so much with cobwebs. She opened the door to challenge the gym. She had never thought about taking on the gym challenge however she couldn't stand being made a laughing stock anymore. She took another deep breath, holding Trapinch's ball in a death grip before stepping through the doors.
While that wasn't exactly whathe had in mind, Naka's methods did seem to be rather effective. Thewhistle got everyone's attention, and the calling of his name hadeveryone glancing around, wondering who this crazy woman was callingfor. Was there a child lost among the crowd? Almost wanting to runaway from the scene entirely and live his life out as a hermitamongst the shoreline as far north from here as he could, Theosheepishly cleared his throat before excusing himself, maneuveringhis way through the crowd until he finally met up with his friendsand...their friends? He assumed they were his friend's friends.Speaking of, he hoped Charlotte was alright. He hadn't seen or heardfrom her since the incident in the Safari Zone. “Hey guys. That wascertainly one way to go about it I suppose.” He looked tothe others, the trainers he both had and hadn't met yet “I'm Theo. But you probably figured that out.....along with half passengersgetting on the ship”
Once they were on board and the shipwas off, Esther was the first to grab his attention: She had a scoreto settle with him, and at first Theo wasn't entirely sure what shemeant. Then he remembered their first meeting. Riiiight, he hadtreated her rather poorly that one time, hadn't he? “I” hestarted, a thought coming to his mind as he turned to Naka “Questionslater. I....things...you know.” He needed more information aboutthe <<Barrier>> situation he found himself in, and Nakathus far had been his best source of information. Better even thanthe internet, which was saying something. With that he looked back toEsther “You think its time that you and I arranged a heart toheart?” Her statement could really only mean one thing: Inaccordance with the rules of this world, she was challenging him to apokemon battle.
That left him with the question: Whichpokemon should he use? The Touros he felt wouldn't listen to him.Setting loose a fire horse on a boat surrounded by water was alsolikely a very bad idea. Krem, while having started to learn masteryover some of his offensive abilities, still had a lot of road aheadof him. That only left Ro and Shinx. While he was sure Ro had morebattling experience and would thus be the better of the two optionsgiven the circumstances, Theo felt that was also the exact reason tonot use the Riolu this time around. She had training that the rest ofhis pokemon didn't have. Which really only left...
The thoughtwas cut off as the first pokeball on his belt shook violently, theShinx bursting forth from it and shaking one he had fully taken form, glad to be out of the ball. He hated confined spaces. “Sure, whynot. We've got some time to kill between now and uh...however longthis boat ride is gonna take.” Huh. He hadn't even thought aboutthat. This could be a 3 hour tour, or a 3 week excursion. Gods hehoped it wasn't a 3 week excursion.
