I'm going by the classic view of ghosts with this Haunter. Ghosts, traditionally anyways, are not usually aware they are dead. Mega Gengar's third eye allows him to see through to the realms of the dead, and therefore until he grows to becoming a mega gengar, he is not aware he is dead.

Currently it's night time. A few characters are out of the school but it'd be hard to find them. Others are around the dorms some in others dorms and a few in their own. Teachers are in the teachers lounge. And Cecilia (principal) is in her office.
