Set in an alternate dimension where the pokemon world is 2000 years behind the true pokemon world. With no league and no pokeballs peoples bonds with their pokemon are far stronger than in the mundane world. For the past 500 years the region of kanto has been kept Safe by the mighty Pokemon Knights. Trainers who through an unknown process were able to bond with their pokemon on a new level. In a fabled technique Called Synchronicity the Knights are able to grant their pokemon a vast bonus to intelligence and their other stats, while the pokemon shares its powers and techniques.
Taking place a mere 10 years after a massive war between the Pokemon knights and invaders from beyond mount silver people are noticing the tension rising in the lands. Finally the tension reaches a boiling point where the Grand knight Sir Gentry Absalom was stricken down by his protege Sir Baldur Tarkaton, Followed shortly by almost half of the pokemon Knights who were loyal to Sir Absalom. With no one powerful enough to oppose him Tarkaton has dominated the Kanto region, its been three years now that he has been reigning as the Grand Knight.
However Tarkaton made a mistake, he never rooted out all those who would oppose him. Primarily Tidus Absalom, who upon his fathers death took his fathers journal and fled into veridian forest. Upon his recent return he has displayed the power of Synchronicity a feat beleived to be impossible without the Pokemon knights Mythical grimoire. However one knight does not an army make, no matter how impossibly talanted he may be. As such the Young knight has begun to attempt to enlist others to his cause of wiping out the corrupted pokemon knights and free kanto from their tyranical rule.
(Heya guys. There is a lot to cover here so bear with me if its a bit scattered. In this rp we will be playing the role of pokemon Trainers in this era. Unlike the trainers you are used to a lack of pokeballs and a requirement for a strong bond has limited people to a single pokemon each. In this story we will be taking only the Gen 1 pokemon with a few exceptions. Obviously no one can have a legendary as their bonded pokemon, also there will be no higher form pokemon, so you start with your pokemons lowest evolution. Also a few pokemon dont even exist yet for example porygon and Voltorb and all their evolutions do not exist yet nor does mewtwo. Baby form and final form evolutions are allowed and take the bottom evolutionary level. So for example if you want to have pikachu as your bonded pokemon you need to start with a pichu, and if you choose a pokemon like ryhorn you can eventually get Ryperior. No one can begin with the Synchronicity power it must be gained via Tidus's secret process. Im hoping to get a party of about 4 to 5 players. You will be playing your human character and your pokemon so be ready for that.
Lastly to explain synchronicity you dont gain access to your pokemons base stats or powers, rather you gain the ability to use pokemon moves as a human via synchronicity. So for example someone who properly uses it with their charmander can use the move ember as if they themselves were a pokemon. The more your bond grows the more moves you will be allowed to utilize the power obviously starting from weakest to strongest. Without further ado pick your pokemon my friends.
