Time to Vote!
Actually, I'm gonna call this to a vote cause I'm a bit undecided.

1. Dmg dealt is based on the pokemon types themselves and, in the case of dual types, they get to pick and choose.

2. Dmg dealt is based on the moves, but pokemon are limited to 4 selected from their normal skill list. Others would be purchasable by TMs in PokeShop.

If you go with the first one, how will immunities involving Mono-Normal, Mono-Ghost, Mono-Dragon and Mono-Electric mons work?

Is there any kind of distinction between Phys/Special? Would Swords Dance boost a special move, or Nasty Plot a physical move?

Nope. Only the move type matters. Win a roll and it either takes away 1 heart, 2 heart, or half-heart. How you write it IC is up to you.

Blizzard, Superpower, Bite, Belly Drum (If Belly Drum ain't allowed then Uproar)

Guess I'll have to wait for TMs and tutors for that sweet, sweet fire-type coverage.

Do boosting moves just raise the offense stat in general, then? So Belly Drum would turn 8 offense into 32?

Moves do nothing. They're pretty aesthetics to RP with IC, but the only game mechanic thus far is type and dice.

Offense = number of faces your pokemon's die has.
Speed = number of dices you're rolling for your pokemon. You can pick whichever die you want to use to compete with.

Ah, I think I understand. So moves like belly drum don't do anything?

It's a normal type move. Takes away 1 heart if you win the dice roll.

But yeah, game mechanic wise it doesn't do anything. RP wise, you can make it do what you want if you win the dice roll.

Huh, was thinking of suggesting things like boosting number of dices one can roll or something, basically adding numbers to speed for the battle.

On the other hand, this does make me think - does this mean Bronzong could use Rain Dance for Water Coverage, or a good batch of Grass types use Sunny Day for fire coverage?

Do Healing moves like Absorb or Synthesis do anything to heal, or do battles outright have 0 healing beyond the occasional potion and full restore?

There is a speed mechanic with #of dices are that are purchasable, but there are too many moves the the PokeWorld to cover and my puny brain doesn't want to make too many =P

Yes.

For now they do nothing to heal. I may change that later when we get to a class that goes over healing moves or something , but I'd rather not make it things complicated atm.

I guess there's also abilities to talk about, but I'm going to guess that you want to leave the discussions for that later down the line?

Yes. Maybe it'll be a new event item purchasable down the line for your pokemon. Maybe not. Hard to say lol.

I’m a little lost as to what I missed that affects the story, anything major? Also, Jhetta (my OC) will be submitted tonight!
