Appearance - Charlie doesn’t like to look interesting, he’d rather people not notice him. He is average height with a skinny build, short brown hair and brown eyes. His skin is pale and he has a few freckles here and there. Often he’ll dress in warm clothing as the area he grew up in is cold and that’s what he’s comfortable with. He likes beanies, hoodies, coats, boots but scarfs are too much. If it’s warm weather he’d dress in basic t-shirt and pants but he definitely prefers the cold.

Personality - Charlie often considers himself basic personality wise, but if you could ask his best friend Vera she’d probably tell you that he’s one of the most interesting people she knows. He was a very shy kid but went through a bit of an emo phase which allowed him to become more outgoing, he’s always shy around people he likes and he becomes attached quickly. He loves to love things, not people. If he finds something he enjoys there is a 100% chance he will lose sleep and not eat and become incredibly obsessed with said thing. He cares deeply for people and hates to see others in pain but he often finds it difficult to stand up for people, he’s terrified of what others think of him.

Spoiler: Biography (sorry its kinda long)

Biography - Charlie grew up in a small town in a region far off. From his growing up, he never had any sort of connection to Pokémon, many are fascinated by them but his interests lied in history and geology. His parents were average by all accounts but from a young age Charlie could recognise that their life did not account for children, they did everything together, went on vacation, had dinner parties with their friends and most of this excluded Charlie. This more or less caused him to start lashing out and he definitely had what most people would call an emo phase. For this his parents sent him off to boarding school at the age of 14 so that they didn’t have to deal with him anymore. Prior to boarding school he had managed to make some friends but after being sent halfway across the region most faded away except for Vera. Charlie and Vera were inseparable, they were the best of friends. Vera often joked that they were supposed to be soulmates but Arceus accidentally made her a lesbian. When Charlie moved off to boarding school they kept in touch and even after school went to the same college.

Ironically being sent to boarding school probably made Charlie more of a rebellious kid. Many of the guys there were tough and in order to stop himself from being bullied he placed himself into that crowd. He became the bully. It was hell, obviously but it was the only way to protect himself. His “friends” from the boarding school often snuck out to clubs or to go partying and Charlie would tag along, he often feigned drinking or doing drugs in order to get out of it but the gang realised what he was doing and so he was forced to take drugs for the first time in his life. This led to him having a bit of an episode which ended with him in the hospital. He was kicked out of boarding school and his parents begrudgingly accepted him back into their home. With the help of Vera he spent a year recovering but he eventually got better enough to go back to regular school where he drowned himself in his studies, he passed with flying colours and graduated at the age of 19. He often told Vera that she should go to college already (she had graduated the year earlier) but she declined and decided to wait for him to finish so they could go together. He majored in history but found that college wasn’t what it was propped up to be.

Vera often went out to party with her new friends but Charlie could never bring himself to, every time he went he would have panic attacks and end up going home early. It made it somewhat difficult to make new friends but Vera always made sure to include him in everything else and invite him even if he wouldn’t go. After 3 years of college some of the students in her friend group were graduating and had planned a big trip up the coast to a villa they would split to pay for. Charlie felt like it would just be a giant week long party which sounded horrible but he went for Vera as she was graduating and this would be the last time she would go to something like this Charlie wanted to be there for her.

On day 2 of the trip things had already gotten out of hand. Charlie escaped to the beach most of the time which relaxed him, he loved watching all the Pokémon live their lives and the sounds of waves relaxed him. Vera started to notice him sneaking off and she joined him on the beach. She offered to leave with Charlie as he was clearly miserable, Charlie didn’t want Vera to have to go but she refused to stay and they left that night. Unfortunately Vera also insisted on driving and her head wasn’t exactly clear. The car skid of the road and crashed into a tree. Vera died instantaneously. Charlie returned to his hometown for the funeral but everywhere he went he was always reminded of her and there was nothing he could do to stop thinking about her, so he left. He left his home region for the first time in his life and moved to Galar to start a new chapter. Often he thought of that night on the beach with Vera, is was their last real moment together and it was filled with the sounds of happy Pokémon playing on the beach and rustling in the trees, he decided to honour that last memory but adopting a Pokémon of his own. He chose a Turtwig.

Now Charlie as thrown himself into studies, situating himself in the town of Wedgehurst he quickly became entranced with the large research lab located within the town and the many books it held, Professor Magnolia (who took complete ownership after Sonia left on her journey) allowed for Charlie to use the lab but now, Charlie has decided to go on his own Pokémon adventure, Galar is a region with a lot of history and Charlie intends to uncover it.

Name: Taemion LeClair
Gender: Male he/him
Age: 17
Trainer Class: AR Ace
Physical Appearance: light skinned, wavy light brown hair, freckles, and Stormy gray eyes. He's of a medium lean build, standing at 5'6"
Personality: semi-serious, semi-casual, Taemion values honesty and may come off a little blunt because of it. He sometimes takes being able to sense auras and emotions for granted, since it comes so naturally to him now. He is also prone to occasionally getting overwhelmed in large groups from all the auras. However, he has a strong sense of morals and values "goodness", but also understands the world isn't so black and white.
Backstory: Born in the Ferrum region, he grew as a trainer for a little while, learning the Battle AR, raising his Riolu into a Lucario for battling, and eventually left for Kalos to get a sense for how other other trainers Battle in comparison to his home and broaden his horizons. Variety is the spice of life after all.

Physical Appearance: Louie has short, black hair and light brown eyes. He is muscular and athletic and sports several small facial scars, loving reminders of countless "play fights" with his brothers back home. At sixteen, he has grown the start of a goatee, and he wears it proudly.

Clothing: Louie owns three sets of checkered shoes: black and white, black and red, and black and purple. Besides this, he tends to wear black jeans and a black jacket with fur around the fringe of the sleeves and neck. He constantly threatens to get his ears or eyebrows pierced, but deep down he doesn't want to disappoint his parents further.

Personality: Often hasty rather than decisive and brash rather than bold, Louie is quick to show anger and attempt to intimidate others into getting what he wants. However, he is also very cool, happy-go-lucky and downright amiable during low-stress situations.

Backstory: The youngest of four siblings, including two older brothers and born to a wealthy couple in Mesagoza, Paldea; Louie grew up the constant victim of his brothers' antics and bullying, he often thought of his sister as his friend or ally, but she rarely hung out at home after meeting her friend group and this led to him lashing out at school. Eventually, after every noteworthy institute in Unova and Paldea had denied this troublemaker, his parents resolved to simply send him away to undergo his own Pokemon journey in Johto.

Physical Appearance:

Personality: While he generally acts like a sassy, lost child, this is actually a front to disguise how he doesn't really remember much of his past. His true personality, while still quite sarcastic, is much more kindhearted, and generally is only revealed to those he trusts.

Backstory: Silas woke up one day in the middle of the Haina Desert in Alola, no memories to his name, and a Gible gnawing on his boot. That same Gible would go on to become his first partner after he escaped the desert. Assisted by Kahuna Nanu in getting an identity together, Silas set out to travel the world, hoping to find something to jog his memories. However, despite travelling for a little over a year, Silas has yet to find anything, and has returned to Alola to attempt the Island Challenge.
